Comment: Ros, thanks for the fullness of your description of the place and event. It's something I've never heard of or read about. And thanks for sweet, but not at all saccharine, dialog - I have a clear picture of the dirty bearded guy and the delighted little girl.
Response: The pitched battles are fun, but lately, I've just been watching how people interact with the kids - you'll have grown men attempting to decapitate each other with fake swords, and then very calmly taking aside the 5-year-olds and teaching them the basics. I find it encouraging... community, y'know? I'm glad you enjoyed my description!

Comment: Ros, Thanks so much for your detailed list. It is by far the best one in all the "100 things" lists I've received so far! (I've been doing them all.) Your list was really enthusiastic, interesting, and inspiring. Also it makes me want to visit Montreal even more than ever!
Response: I'm glad you liked the list - I had a good time writing it! Montreal is very much "my city" - it isn't where I grew up, but it is where I chose to make my home, and I love it here!
