Comment: Thank you for the spectacular view, what a cool place! I'm sorry to hear about your son, ouch!! I hope you'll still be able to take your vacation soon. Thank you too for the kind words about my friend. I miss him so much!
Comment: holy man! that was one full parcel! thanks for everything. I was on my last needle threader so those were a great item, the fabric is hilarious and so are those wild eyes...they're watching me...the leaves and the moose are wonderful too...thanks so much.
Comment: Thx for the very interesting PC - the original art was done in1987 by an African American artist who was married to a Haitian artist - of course, Haiti has had a long history of grief and poverty, and this piece is as relevant today as it was 26 years ago, isn't it? Take care, T.
Comment: Hello Laura, Thank you for the beautiful "Uncle Sam" patriotic plastic canvas piece. It was a sweet surprise to be sure when I opened up the package. I love plastic canvas have made several pieces over the years for others so this piece is very special to me. thank you for taking the time to make him for me. I shall treasure it always. blessings, ellie
Comment: Thanks for the card -- this is a place I would love to visit, too. Would you believe my grandmother's brother was the city engineer for Manassas in the 1950's! I no longer have any family there, but we used to go out to see them quite often -- we lived in Chevy Chase for many of my gorowing up years. Thanks again, and happy swapping!
Comment: Whooo Whooo Whooo.....What an absolutely awesome! Over-the-Top package! The Crossed Stitched Card is Fabulous! (I shall frame it). Thank you for all the wonderful stickers. And if you are "officially" old then I guess that makes me "officially" dead. LOL. Thank you so very much!!!!!
Comment: Thank you for your little book of lists. I really enjoyed it. We have a few things in common but I must say I love the Fast and the Furious (its my guilty pleasure movies)! Those guys can really act!! lol Just joking.
Comment: Your postcard arrived safe and sound, thank you! And that's so funny that you have family up here, it's a small world! Miramichi isn't far from here, maybe a 4 hour drive? It's beautiful up there. I wouldn't mind sending you a postcard if you want to arrange something through swap-bot, I don't know how to do that. :)
Comment: Thank you very much for such a wonderful and magical postcard! And thank you for so cute stamps. I also love to re-read about Alice and Winnie the Pooh and more Russian cartoon about Winnie the Pooh very funny :)
I'm sorry it's so late putting rating, but few days ago I returned home from a trip and now assort received letters and postcards .
Comment: Dear laura, thank you so much for your super cute Jetoy postcard! it's my first Jetoy received and it's one of my favorite that i saw on Postcrossing gallery! so thank you very very much! :) I hope to visit USA one day!
Wishing you all the best, Barbara
Comment: I have a message that says something about I like reading old books and something else. I can't read my own handwriting, grrr.
Thank you the cards is great, any fawn card is an automatic heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness! This was the most awesomest package ever(: I will be using all of the paper elements on my smashbook. I love the postcards and the kawaii stationary is too cute :D and the envie was also super cute(: Thank you so so much!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard and lovely note. No gardening or mowing for me today - rain, rain and more rain - great for pulling weeds when I can get out there - they just slide out of the ground.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely send. Your letter was wonderful thank you for telling me more about yourself and where you live. Thank you for the postcards, and pictures and brochures, and newspapers.
Comment: Hello Laura,
What a wonderful NEW collection of postcards I have gained because of your generosity. All the postcards you sent me are all postcards that are new to my collection. I am excited to have all your postcards added to my collection. Thank you again.
Comment: Thank you SO much! I love this card! Its perfect.. i have a similar collection of these cards and every time i send one out i think "i wish i had someone send one of these to me for my collection" and i got one! I'm so thrilled THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Comment: Love your postcard, Laura! That gladiator kind of looks like Mandy Patinkin when he was a bit younger. And I'm not so old that I don't appreciate his physique - not too much, or too little, muscle. ;o) Your mother sounds awesome - bet you had a fun childhood! :oP
Response: She is awesome. We had lots of fun with her growing up. I wish I was like her.
Comment: I love the yellow leaves. Thank you for the great card. It's getting hot here now, I like it better than the cold.Thank you too for all the neat stamps on the card. I've never seen any of them before.
Comment: Hehe, nice historic PC! :) Thank you for the great (and very relevant) selection of stamps you put on it, too - how neat! :) Aww, I feel the same way about walking on sidewalks, too :) Thank you!
Comment: Nice! I love the letter swaps because everyone comes up with great postcards! (I had to edit that. I was informed they are not hollyhocks! Oops!)
I'm glad the rain is making your garden so pretty!! It finally stopped raining here and I'll get my pictures for the WTA!!! Yay!!
Comment: Thank you for an adorable postcard. I love it. Weird thing happened to it.. You made mistake in my building number (8 instead of 38). In this house lives my mom's friend. Yesterday, on her way home, she saw a nice postcard in paper trash bin. She looked what it is and saw my name on it. And that how the pc was saved :) from being recycled fate.
Response: So sorry about that :( I don't know how that happened my eyes play tricks on me sometime. I'm glad it all worked out.
Comment: I love all the vintage postage stamps that you have added to the card. I had this Bob Marley card, that was blank. I mailed it off, so now I have a written on one. So weird, how that works out. Thanks.
Comment: Thanks for a really great map postcard of Virginia. I did not have this one. It will add greatly to my map collection. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. What a beautiful area. Happy swapping,Linda
Comment: Hello Laura,
I love getting art cards. This art card is cool and U is for urns is a great find. I have a whole postcard collection of your favorite artist. This postcard will be a great addition to my Alphabet Postcard Series.
Comment: Hello Laura,
Thank you for the postcard of fairie art you chose to represent wings. It is a beautiful piece of art. This is a great piece of art to represent wings. I will add it to my Alphabet Postcard Series.
Comment: Laura!!! Talk about spoiling me!! Wow, amazing envelopes! (Wherever did you find them!?) I love both elephant postcards!!! Straight to my collection! Those labels are fantastic. I can die happy now!!! ; ) I will likely look at everything all day today!! Thank you tons!!!!!!!!!
Comment: Laura, great job, you must have studied my profile! Yummy candy, fun bird scrapbooking, post it notes (a fave for me), and the cross stitch is outstanding. I appreciate the work that went into that and have Irish heritage so will hang it with pride!
Response: You are welcome. I am glad you liked it :)
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! :) Did you know this painting has a second name? "A Novice of the Order of San Secondo."
In recent years scholars have speculated that the painting doesn't actually depict a nun, although it has been described as such since the 1500's. The attire, particularly the head garb, may be secular, but some scholars consider it to be Benedictine or Dominican. The San Secondo convent was reserved for daughters of the wealthiest Venetian families. The conventions of dress were fairly loose until 1515 when strict reforms were enforced by religious and political authorities in Venice.
Response: Wow! That is very interesting. Thank you for sharing that. It's nice to have a discussion (albeit brief) about an artwork :)
Comment: Jeez, I was on a roll the day I picked up this set of mail. Me and my classy self didn't hit save after typing in A BUNCH of ratings. I apologize for the late rating, but thank you so much for the vintage camp card. I secretly hope all those guys kept in touch and are now sassy old men playing poker on a porch somewhere!11
Comment: I love the painting, too. As a mother, I totally relate to this young mother with, what I will imagine, are her two children. How her life has changed! She has a new purpose and has been blessed. Thank you for the lovely postcard and your lovely handwriting. You had a great pen to write with, I can tell. :)
Comment: thank you for the great postcard. I have been on I95 more then a few times I didn't know how far it went though. Sorry the mail man got it all mixed up and you ended up with it again. I thank you for getting it out to me regardless of the mail man :)
Comment: I love Liberty Square. . . I have a friend that lives in Philly and I've visited her a few times and have hit all the sites in Philly. . . South Street was such fun and loved the food there! Some great museums there too so hope you get back there for another visit! Thanks again for the great PC and happy swapping ~
Response: You are so lucky. I wish we lived just a bit closer so I could go again and then more often.
Comment: Thank you for the great card from I-95. I don't care for driving on the interstates or even in Grand Junction any more. Thank goodness my husband still likes to drive and doesn't scare me too much.
Comment: Q is for Quills. Before I read the back, I would you guessed this postcard was for odd or bizarre swap cause of the hedgehog with the sock. or like you said maybe it is a porcupine. Very cute.
Comment: This artist Cliff McReynolds is just an odd artist. I tried googgling him to see if I get some explanation about his art. It was very limited. I do love the card, so thank you. I just wonder what the artist is trying to say.
Comment: Wow! I'm so sorry for taking so long to rate you!! I did enjoy all the stickers; you sent more than the requirement!! Wish I could double the hearts on this!! Thanks alot hope to be partners again!!
Comment: Too cute! I love sea turtles so much! I've only seen them at the MOTE, but where I have stayed in FL in the past, I've seen nests! Sometimes turtle eggs float in the water ;) Thank you for a great pc!
Comment: Yay, wygirl again! We seem to have each other for a lot of various swaps, and it's fine by me! :) I like receiving from the same people, too, and it IS like having penpals :) Thanks so much for the awesome Calamity Jane PC! Right up my alley! :) Hooray for turning off the heater! We are not quite there yet in Colorado as we are expecting a foot of snow overnight (and this after my husband just fertilized the lawn yesterday!). Yay, so glad about your 3 rating getting corrected! Cannoli is a good time, too! :) Until we meet again...
Comment: Yes, swap-bot fuels my hobbies too!!! Your interest in genealogy sounds fun. I'm trying to get a "family tree" together while I can. I think I'll have to do a lot of research because all I'll have is names. Thanks for using a Snoopy card and for the stickers! It was nice to read about your interests!! Thank you!!!
Comment: Brace yourself for disappointment when you sit down to read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The movie is awful compared to the book. (Namely McMurphy isn't a self-involved jerk in the novel).
Fun fact about Cuckoo's Nest: Ken Kesey, the author, worked as a night shift janitor in a psych ward. Because he's absolutely crazy, Ken got some of his nurse friends to give him ECT (shock therapy) just to experiment. Purportedly a few times while on acid. ...the 60s were a strange time man...
Response: The movie usually is awful compared to the book. I cannot wait to read the book. :)
Comment: A great postcard. I also do not like blank postcards for my collection. Hey, check out the ongoing, SEND one back swap PC swap, you SEND a blank card in an envelope, and the person mails it back to you written on. I send them a thank you postcard, too since I am already mailing them a card.
Response: I have it in my watch list. I plan to use it for a few cards :)
Comment: I have heard that John Adams is a good book and I did like East of Eden, I am RE reading The Thirteenth Tale by Diane setterfield for book club and its just as wonderful as it was the first time, thanks for the pc
Comment: Hello Laura,
I want to start out by saying that your card and thoughtfulness are very apparent in the presentation of your matchbox. I like all the wonderful items you sent for an Independence Day Matchbox and you sent items I know I will use in future creative endeavors. Thank you for extending your generosity with me as well. I hope we have future opportunities to swap with one another as I know I will always get quality. Until we meet again, Happy Swapping!
Response: Well, this was a pleasant surprise. Thank you.
Comment: Laura, I LOVE this PC! Love Anne Taintor Vintage style! Hope your redwork comes out nice, I did some dishtowels with dishes and silverware with faces, arms & legs and my daughter came by and fell in love with them, so bye-bye! = )
Comment: Loved the PC and how you found it. If you ever have a chance, go to House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI. Alex Jordan and Frank Llyod Wright were competing to see sho could make the most beauty with the most natural elements. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: thank you for the postcard. I believe I just sent you a few card. I have been over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge more then a few times. I used to live out that way. which I may have written on a postcard of two to you lol. I miss it out there sometimes. Thanks again for the great card :)
Comment: This was a fun scarf, love the colors! I'm sorry that it became so frustrating to sew with knits -- you did a great job and get extra heart-age for good sportsmanship in the face of knit-fabric challenges :)
Comment: I really, really love getting a Washington, DC card that I have never seen before? Did you happen to get this at Mount Vernon? I went there around Christmas and couldn't believe the amount of postcards and goodies in the gift shop! Also the food was awesome!
Response: Yes I did get it at Mount Vernon. I went a couple years ago and got a huge book. Now it is almost empty. I guess I need to go in to the city again or at least Alexandria.
Comment: Hi wygirl! :) Got your stickers and lovely Colonial Williamsburg card today (I have always wanted to go to CW!) - thank you so much! :) No, I am not the most "cutesy-wutesy" oriented person, but I do enjoy the odd cuteness! Your stickers will be a nice addition to my collection. I randomly got you for another swap (to send you), so that is coming your way as well :) I am ridiculously socially akward, so not to worry on that account! So jealous you got to live in the UK for 3 years; I might get to do it in retirement in a bazillion years, hehe! Take care and thanks again!
Comment: Love those swimming camels. I was once at the Minneapolis Zoo, right after a huge rain and flooding. The camels and some of the other animals were wading around in really deep water.
Weird. Thank you for the card.
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. I've been through Wisconsin many times, we used to haul frozen pizza out of a cold storage in the southern part, and deliver to a WalMart Distribution center in the central part.
Comment: It's so adorable! I am going to find a way to hang it in my kitchen... it is just perfect! :) And, no, it didn't unravel very badly at all! Also, I LOVED the way you mailed it! Such a fun idea!
Response: Oh good :) I'm so relieved it arrived safely.
Comment: Thank you so much for the Interstate 95 postcard. I loved seeing all the states along the route. Interstate 75 runs through Michigan to Florida. It is our local highway here and I have been on it many times. Take care and happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks for the great Toulouse-Lautrec pc! It took me a while to use circular needles, too. I had tons of straights that I just donated to my friend's school where the teaching assistant is teaching the 5th grade kids to knit. Your kids will *love* that their mom made them a Harry Potter scarf!
Comment: Thanks for the fun postcard & for going out of your way to find me a non-tourist one. I don't dream about storage space as much as I dream of having my own craft room where I can break out all my supplies and just go for it, without anyone bothering me and having to worry about cleaning it all up right away.
Comment: $53.00 in books? Yikes! LOL! I was afraid something like that would happen to me if I went bookmark shopping. So glad I decided to get my sewing machine out and make one base on my partners profile likes instead. Thanks bunches for this bookmark. Hope you bought some wonderful reads. Happy Swapping~
Comment: LOVED MY CARD! Absolutely loved my card! Thank you so much. I am from the DC area and have been very homesick lately so this one really brought me a bit of home to my mailbox. Thank you so much...it made my day! And thank you for reading my profile and mentioning my goal...you have helped and it made me smile that you took the time to read it as I do with all my cards that I send out. Hope you have so much luck on your postcard adventures too! Smiles, Meg
Comment: I was born in Pittsburgh and western PA is very different from south central PA. It truly is beautiful here and I love it. Although I've lived in other states, I'm a PA girl through and through. Thank you for your lovely note and a look at George Washington's garden. I'm ready for spring and was delighted to find flowers in my mailbox.
Comment: I like the photo they used for the card - but I guess I've never been there. But I think Virginian (is that the word) architecture screams Virginia! I've only been a few times, and I have family over there on the bay. How sad is that? Thank you so much and have a great week!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome package. Rachelle loved everything in it. The Donald Duck train was a hit too and is going on her shelf and she is already munching on the candies. Amazing job.
Comment: Great card! Thank you so much! I am sooo Addicted to Get Glue! It's going to take me like 2 years to get all of my stickers if I stop now. I'm NEVER gonna get them all! hehehe
Response: You are welcome. I am not going to get many stickers because I watch a lot but don't check in every time. Probably because I marathon watch and am embarrassed to be checking into a show 10 times a day. I am actually doing other things while I watch.
Comment: This postcard is perfect for me!!! Thank you so much. :D I actually just started trying to collect postcards of all the US National Park Service holdings (there are almost 400!) and Manassas National Battlefield Park is one of them! I must agree, we DO live in a wonderful area. :]
Comment: I'm happy that you like Virginia, I lived in San Francisco and just didn't get used to living there. And seriously the beaches are prettier and warmer here. My Hi!! to your husband and thank him for his service.
Comment: Thank you for all the lovely stuff - I'm very excited about the spotty stationery! And bless the little stuffie, I definitely will give them a good home (but, just so I know, what was it meant to be because my boyfriend and I can't quite identify it!)
Response: It's supposed to be a deer. I knew it looked kind of wonky so I avoided saying what it was. I thought I"d let you decide ;o)
Comment: Loved the little pages! You thought they were not finished, but they looked finished to me! Great work!
Response: Thank you so much. You do not know what that means to me. I have been so busy and stressed out lately.. makes it difficult to be creative. Plus I just got my stuff out of storage a couple months ago and it is the first time I've had to craft in abt 2 years. So I was a bit intimidated by the pages I received.
Comment: Thanks for the awesome Virginia PC! If you have an ice cream maker, it's pretty easy to make vegan ice cream. I just follow a regular recipe and use coconut creamer and soymilk in place of heavy cream and milk!
Comment: It's a beautiful card. I watched the sunrise here today but the only color was the sun and it's reflection on the sea which was almost like a mirror. Your sunrises light up everything, that is cool.
Comment: Thank you very much for your wonderful swap! I totally love the sticker sheets you sent, they are amazingly beautiful! :) And the card you wrote me, it's sooo beautiful too. Have a nice day, and happy swapping! :)
Comment: I just realized I had not rated you for this swap. Sorry I'm late with it, but the kids items really were great! We really appreciate the stamp and notebooks with some of my girls' favorite animals. :)
Comment: Thank you for the interesting card. The kids in our area started school already. Some districts on the 12th and some on the 19th. Way earlier than before. We only have 2 granddaughters still in school. One here and one in Texas. Have a great day!
Comment: What a beautiful card. Can't believe you have been to Lovell or know anyone. What a small world. There are two John Mangus' one is my husband's uncle and one his counsin. So it's really a small world. LOL
Comment: Thanks a lot dear.
The butterfly stickers are adorable
Response: I sent you this on July 3 you could have messaged me before rating a 1 so I could resend the stickers. Not to mention it is a well known fact that Saudi Arabia heavily monitors everything that goes in to the country. So to go International mail through customs takes a bit of time.
Comment: Great card, Laura--thanks much! When my sons were middle school aged, I took them to the VA Civil War Battlefield where their Great Great Grandfather was injured. They just didn't get it, saying, "it's just a field, Mom!". But it gave me chills thinking about what had happened there. I guess they were just too young to appreciate it yet.
Comment: Thanks for the great package - I loved the magnet and the postcards, and I actually hid the candy away from the kids to keep it all for me, lol, stingy I know but I do LOVE caramels! Thanks again!
Comment: lol, your words on the pc were very funny to me! Imagine living in a trainstation. I know that in The Netherlands there are some people living in old and restaurated trainstations! Thanks for the nice card. Another funny thing: I got all my 3 pc's for this swap on the same day! So great to receive lots of mail!
Comment: Sorry, nothing arrives. Update 02/06/09: I don't have problems receiving coins if it is concealed between hard cards. Since you mentioned that you have resent me twice, I'll just re-rate you to a 3. Thanks for trying your 3rd attempt but I think you're not obligated to. Updated on 21/07/09: I've changed your ratings to reflect your undying committment to make things right. You deserve more than a heart from me. Thanks for taking the time & money to ensure I get my mail. Lovely coins Laura.
Response: Thank you. I would prefer it was a 3 as if I sent it registered mail the first time it would have got there.
Comment: Thankyou so much for the parcel which arrived on Saturday morning, I have been a bit tied up with jobs and am sorry I'm so late getting the rating to you, I have never had the glitter glue before and will give it a try, I have tried to buy Sharpie pens here but with no luck so far I look forward to using it, I love the socks with the dogs and cats on them too and the ribbon will most certainly be very useful to me, it was a great fun swap, I will be posting a photo on my flickr face probably tomorrow, I'm sure our paths will cross again sometime with swap-bot, until them this comes with kind regards, Barbara..
Comment: Great Postcard! I have never been to Preston, ID but, my friend and I are planning a Napoleon Dynamite tour sometime this summer. Boise is a nice place with a lot to do. If you ever move here look me up.
Comment: Thank you so much. My favorite are the stickeroni ones. I've never seen stickers like that. I love the "Hey Baby" one with the girl with glasses. And of course the little Japanese dolls...so cute!! Thank you so much for them! ^v^
Comment: Ooohhh, yummy! I've never seen Reese's Pieces lip balm before...and seems how that is one of my most favorite candy, I MUST heart you! Well, actually, I'd have hearted anyhow because you sent an extra along as well and didn't have to! The Claire's lipgloss is too cute! And the tropical Fun Dip flavor is going to be Yummy too, I'm sure! I love Fun Dip candy, but have never seen any in Tropical...so that is going to be really cool to try in lip balm. Thanks for such a great swap, I really appreciate it! You deserve the heart, you're a great swap partner!
Comment: thank you! you know it's funny but i've lived in philly my whole life and even i haven't been to the historical sites other than maybe a field trip in grade school. :) i hope you make it here some day for a visit! valley forge is GORGEOUS! (if you do even come by philly let me know i'll suggest some places for all your traditional philly-known-for foods like the cheesesteak!)
Comment: Thanks so much for the package! The book looks great and I can't wait to read it after I finish my current one. I love Irish things, so it's kind of weird that you sent what you did, since I don't mention that on my profile! Gotta love coincidences like that! Thanks again!
Comment: Dear Laura! Thanks so much for the awesome cup and little teapot!!! They're beautiful! So much postage costs! :-( And I can tell you, I had problems too with answering these questions. Maybe I'm too far away from school now. lol
Comment: Thank you for your thoughts on the book, bookmark, & embellishments! I agree with you & think that it's sad about Jan's thoughts on existence, I would be oh so sad if I didn't believe in an after-life with the hopes of seeing all the loved ones I've lost.
Comment: Your pack was absolute COOOOOOOL!!! I screamed as i see all the cute and lovable stickers you choose for me! Wow, that was so amazing, thank you, you make me happy like a little child on xmas ^__________^!!
Comment: I'm so sorry this rating is late... I LOVED your journal! Each page had a different feel to it, and I got such a kick out of the fact that you actually sent your grocery receipt! Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you! I wasn't expecting that because it was a little late and I haven't been feeling well the past few weeks so haven't been up to doing much x
Comment: CLYDEESMOM 8/14/2008 HI LAURA, WELL, WHEN I RECEIVED YOUR PACKAGE, I FOUND OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GIVING A HEART FOR EXTRAS AND GIVING A HEART BECAUSE YOUR SWAP PARTNER WAS VERY THOUGHTFUL AND TOOK TIME TO MAKE AN EXTRA SPECIAL PACKAGE JUST FOR YOU. I LOVE EVERY STICKER IN THAT ENVELOPE, OF COURSE, ESPECIALLY THE GIRAFFES AND PENGUINS. THANK YOU. LOL LORRAINE
Comment: Hello Laura,
I was the lucky recepient of your creative work as part of the Postcard Swap--Letter Z." I love the colors and how you used resources to find something that could represent the letter uniquely. You said in your note that this was your first postcard--I wouldn't have known it if you had not told me. I look forward to adding your beautiful postcard to my Personal Postcard Collection and more specifically to my Handmade Postcards A-Z Collection. I look forward to our paths crossing again. Until then, Happy Swapping!
Comment: What a lovely little matchbox and filled to the brim with goodies. Also stamp pads and tea. I will put it all to good use for sure. Thanks for paying attention to my profile that means a lot, Mary
Comment: Thank you so very much for the awesome Red and Black Matchbox!!! I love it!!! I really liked the items that you stuffed in it and all the nice red and black extras that you included. "Heart" for you!!!
Comment: omigosh, I love, love, love everything you sent! Guess what, those butterfly napkins- my little girl is having a butterfly themed b-day party tomorrow afternoon (er, today technically, the 21st). What perfect timing! My oldest daughter, who is the baker in the family, has promised to make me gnome cookies for my birthday with the cc you sent; it should go without saying I adore the robot and map pc; and all the cool brads, deco tape, and strawberry stuff is just too cute! I feel so spoiled; but my favorite thing, well, we named him Charlie, after my husband, who is an unofficial "turtle rescuer". We all took turns loving on him, our new little ami-go:) Thanks you sososo much! BIG hugs:D
Response: I am so glad you liked everything. I'm glad someone will be able to use the cookie cutter. That's a relief... although I do think it would look cute on a shelf too. You are welcome :)
Comment: WOW! it came FAST and FULL of GOODIES! THANK YOU SO very much! I truly felt special with this package! Would love to receive a swap from you again in the future! Thanks again! and have a great summer!
Comment: I want to thank you so much for angelling this for me!! You are a great person!! I will be sending you a thank you package in the next few days!! I loved my bubble tote very much, plus all the goodies inside...I was going to order the same stationery from janetstore.com..loved the skull box filled with goodies...I LOVED IT ALL!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!
Response: I'm glad you like it. :) That was fun. I kind of wanted to sign up for the swap in the first place but didn't. You don't need to send anything though.
Comment: oh my gosh! oh my gosh! oh my gosh! this is the cutest and most well made swap I have received - I L♥ve squirrels and mmushrooms and these turned out soooooo cute!! After seeing these cuties I know I have ALOT to learn with amigurumi, lol! THANK YOU for such an awesome swap, I wish I could give you a big hug *_*
Response: Wow!! Thank you!!! I did two practice ones before I did these. I am addicted now.
Comment: How did you make this postcard? It almost looks store bought. Do you print them yourself or is there somewhere you send away photos to get them back looking like a real postcard? Beautiful hibiscus. Reminds me of a photo I took on my honeymoon.
Response: I think I had these printed at WinkFlash. I prefer QOOP but they cost more :(. Snapfish and probably Shutterfly also do postcards.
Comment: Thank for the wonderful package!! Everything is wonderful! The magnets are very cool, and I'd definately call them offbeat! As for your 4 year old, thats not too bad, I have a fully grown man (boyfriend) trying to eat any candy I'm packaging up for a swap!!!
UPDATE (14/05/2008) Today I received another wonderful package of candy and embellishments!!! Thank you ever so much, but you really didn't have too!!! You are a sweetheart!!!
Thank you so much for the great swap box!!!!! The girls loved it!!! It was an even trade.....all the lipglosses went to my eldest (for now), the lollipops went to my toddler (her choice), the books went to the oldest and the CD/DVD was watched by the toddler and then listened to by both.
Thank you so much!!!!!!
Response: I am so glad they liked it. I would have sent sooner but the CD didn't come out until the 15th.
Comment: Well! I dont know what to say! WOWOWOW!!
What an amazing package - thank you SO very much :)You have been so kind, and everything is wonderful. I especially love the cup and saucer - I usually use a mug, but this is fabulous, I am at the computer with a very grown up cup of tea as I type!I know I will use it all the time :) And thank you too, from my DH (he hasnt seen any of it yet!) for all the peanut butter goodies you sent! He will be ecstatic! Can you tell that I quite liked your package?! LOL
Youre a star. A million hearts to you xx
Response: I'm glad you like it. I had a hard time controlling myself. I saw so many beautiful things I just wanted to get everything. I guess I really like roses :) lol
Comment: You obviously took the time to read my profile, and therefore, you ROCK. Thank you! ♥
Response: I'm glad you like it. I was a bit worried as I don't think FairyTopia is considered "collectible". I don't collect Barbies except for the Princess series and if I come across the faeries I want those. I only have the Woodland one :( I hoped that since they were fairy Barbies they would be okay :)
Comment: I loved everything, esp. the honey pot! I took mine to school and sombody STOLE it and I've been meaning to replace it for a few months - and you did! Thanks - everything was PERFECT and I'd give you 20 hearts if I could!
Response: I am so glad you liked everything. You wouldn't believe how stressed out I was. It's extremely difficult buying for someone else's home. Little personal things are one thing but home decor is another. I see stuff that I think is so cute or beautiful but I do have my own taste.
Comment: THANK YOU! what a great package! everything blue! yippee! i love the dragonfly ribbon, the hippo webkins (my first webkins), the pretty blue bowl, and the beads! my husband thanks you for the Smarties. he loves those. :) i love the whole package! so full of goodies! yay! you made my day. thank you for being so thoughtful and generous.
Comment: How very generous of you to mail me your vintage Sting postcard. You rock! :-) Giving you star. Would give you a dozen if I could. You are very sweet!! And, not to worry, it aired out and didn't smell like smoke by the time it reached me. :-)
Response: Oh good. I was worried about that. After I sent it I thought you might be annoyed with me for sending a smoky card. It was so cool though. Thank you x
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! It's very poinent (sp??) to me. I went to Niagara Falls on a tour just 11 days after 9/11. Only 3 people dropped from that tour. The rest of us - there were 48 - said we're not letting them win! We all went with 3! forms of id! The greetings we got in Canada and the rest of the New England states when we showed up - and the fact that we hadn't cancelled our tour - were wonderful and still fill my eyes with tears. The country was truely united! Thank you for this memory! I'd give you more hearts if I could!
Comment: Dear wygirl -- I got your package today and it was such a delight to go through all the items. I particularly appreciated the old newspaper articles and the key will find a place in my antique key collection. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness! Best, Ystarr
PS: sorry my name was difficult -- it is an uncommon name even in Japan! Yayoi Kusama, a contemporary artist is probably the most well-known "Yayoi" in the US.
Comment: Can you believe the package arrived Thursday? Only 6 Days! That was a quick one! And what a wonderful package it was! Looks like you used my profile as shopping list! Thank you so much Laura, this is all so adorable! And all the Stamps you put on the envie! I can't believe you put 28 $ postage in 1 $ and 0.69 $ Stamps on it! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would give you ten more hearts if that would be possible!
I`m really excited about this package, how many exclamation marks did I use.....? Not enough I guess :o)
Response: Oh Wow!! I can't believe it got there already! And I had been stressing out about it worried something would happen to it because I used an envelope and not a box. I think the postal worker thought I was nuts with all the stamps but she didn't say anything lol. I am glad you like it. :)
Comment: loved the card esp the st pats image and the background is awesome and the harp is so cool--great job!! have not seen those stamps and i think i have radar when it comes to Irish/celtic things for crafts--
