Comment: Thanks for the pretty coasters! No worries, it was stamped 3/31/19. Even if it wasn't, I would have understood. I used to work in an accounting firm and I know what tax season is like. I didn't have any free time.
Comment: I love Foosh and her fins. Lol. Her henna tattoo is gorgeous! Your letter had me rolling! The part about her dreads and how it's "hard enough to get a job as a monster in this economy" was hilarious! Thank you so much for making me smile as I've been having a rough time lately. That really means a lot. I always love swapping with you. â¤ï¸
Comment: Thanks for going above and beyond with the fabric and extras! I love it all! Orange isn't one of my favorite colors so I can never find any orange in my stash when I need it. Glad to have some. Thanks so much!
Response: You're very welcome! Thanks for the 5. I know I was a tad late, but I appreciate the leniency!
Comment: Such a fun package! The purple purse you made is beautiful. I love the pencil pouch as well. The fabric you used for it is so cute. My favorite store bought things were the smiley face binder clips, the mini stapler (I lost mine, so I needed a new one), and the nail polish shaped highlighters. It felt like Christmas! My new beau helped me open the package and he had a blast as well. Thank you so much for such an awesome swapping experience.
Comment: What a wonderful and fun package. I will get a lot of use out of the notions bag that you made. I like all the fabrics you sent. the butterfly with the complementary green is perfect. Plus thread and sewing machine needles! Very thoughtful. I will certainly enjoy the tea. I have a small stash of teabags in my desk drawer at work for those "special" moments. They will be a welcome addition. I love black tea. It makes me happy. Again, many thanks and a jillion hearts!
Comment: Thank you for the patterns..I've never seen the crocodile stitch one before..I think I may give that a shot for one of the dishcloths swaps I'm in..Hope you have a WONDERFUL day..And here in the pacific northwest we are just warming back up..First day it hit 90..Happy Swapping..
Thank you so much for the tribble! He is adorable. The note you sent was the best part of the swap. It meant so much to hear how libraries have been a positive influence in your life. That made my week. Thank you times a billion!
Comment: Hi Laura! Thanks for the Escher postcard! As an artist, I think he was ahead of his time! Your list of happy things sound wonderful! It's nice that you balance enjoying nature with simple things like having the dishes done! Enjoy your weekend and happy swapping! Valerie
Comment: Oh. My. God. Your package is to die for, Laura! Batiks are my absolute FAVORITE fabrics in the whole world! Although the sparkly metallic thread will be a P.I.T.A. to work with, I still love it! Thanks a million! :-) (x100 <3)
Comment: Thank you for the nice dishcloth and the pattern. I am having a hard time finding red white and blue cotton yarn here. At least I have a little time and they don't take that longl to make. 😊
Comment: Great Job on the bookmark...Love the Purple!
and the Nice Note about your Mom.. I just sent mine out today...and love the piece of Fabric.. Love upholstery samples...got idea already what to make with it...! ! Thank You ! !
Response: I can send you a bunch of those upholstery pieces if you like!
Comment: I love the variegated yarn you used! We do not have snow, just cold drizzling rain. Love Dr Who. I have 2 almost finished sweaters that I lost the patterns... Guess I will be adding grays and browns to my next granny squares!Thank you for the lovely cloth & letter!
Comment: That package was the best swap I have ever received in my entire swap career! You should be given 1000 hearts. Thank you so much for everything, you truly found my favorites and sent me the best :-)
Comment: Sweet obit :) loved yours!!
I felt a little down (just for 5 min.) because I really do miss my, David, and look forward to seeing him- when it's the right time. I really enjoyed the therapy it offered me.
Comment: ☺ Thanks for the swap. Great tangles. Love the envie!
Response: Thanks. I can't claim any credit for the envie; I received it in a handmade envelope swap. But the lady at the post office liked it so much she dug around for a nice stamp instead of printing a label. :)
Comment: Thanks for the book and the glimpse into your life. It must be fun to have animals and live in a setting like that. We have a new subdivision going up around us so our once peaceful rural area is suddenly full of people, small yards, expensive houses, and fast cars.
Comment: Got it Mz. Laura! Fun! Usually no spring in Houston but this year we had "cool" weather for a much longer period :) It was FABulous! AC is now officially on until probably the end of October... cha ching! Thank you SO much! Enjoy the glorious weather for me!
Response: Aww I am not looking forward to AC season. Cha ching is right! Today it's going to be 68 and rainy. Fine with me! :)
Comment: Thank you the dishcloths are lovely. I never thought about crocheting with 2 strands of fine cotton, I may have a new use for some of my stash.
Response: They're not quite as quick to make, but after one trip through the laundry they became my new favorites. They get nice and soft and much more flexible than the worsted yarn cloths. Glad you like it!
Comment: Happy spring. You folks surely have had one rough winter. Where in MA do you live? The daffodils are in bloom now and it is so pretty here. The flowering bushes are starting to blossom. Yea, Spring is on its way. Shirley
Response: I live in Western Mass (approx where I90 and I91 cross). We're going to get single digits overnight again tonight, and maybe some snow on Wednesday. I sure would love to see some flowers! Thanks for the heart. :)
Comment: Today I'm doing a happy dance. It feels like Spring. Have been outside working, even washed the car. Tomorrow I will not be able to move :( I enjoyed reading your profile :) new flavor of candy corn out- carrot cake! Thanks for the postcard!
Response: Carrot cake candy corn??? I'm getting a vision of the future... it's myself, 40 lbs heavier.... Thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: What PRETTY collaged hearts and I LOVE the stitching on it…..I really enjoyed making these and will continue to make these as I hate to throw out little paper bits and now I know what to do with it!!!! Happy Swapping!
Response: Agreed, they are fun to make! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: this is my idea of a really good zine... nice pictures and interesting story...
I have tried so hard to have a garden...but it never works out.. the last time the cows ate all my flowers..and the bugs the strawberries...ah well...I think it takes a talent I don't have...thanks so much... love this zine...
Response: I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the heart. My garden nemesis is the rabbits. Between them and the aphids, I got far fewer vegetables that I'd hoped. As soon as the snow melts, I'm reinforcing my fence!
Comment: Thank you for the soup recipes. They all look great, but I am going to try the crock-pot one first because I love an easy crock-pot recipe and it looks delicious!
Response: It really is quite delicious. I have even been known to throw everything into the crockpot (chicken straight from the freezer even) and let it go on low 12 hours. Comes out fine. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the yarn. Pretty blue color! Now to decide what to make with it. :)
We've had the high temps but no rain. We moved here in Aug and it's only rained 6 times. Everyone tells us that it's very strange.
Thanks again and happy swapping to you too. (I totally hear you on the postage stink eye. I only do USA swaps now.)
Response: No rain in the central valley? That is very strange! Glad you like the yarn. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Wow, I've never seen purple pole beans. I've always grown purple bush. Do you know the name of them? I will definitely plant these this coming summer, which can't come soon enough!!! Thanks also for the mesclun and parsley seeds =)
Response: Glad you like them! The beans were just called "Purple podded pole" and they originally came from Baker Creek Seeds.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcards -- I love them all (the art card, the duck one is too cute, and yay - I finally have a modern New Hampshire card!). The butterfly greeting card you sent your note on is also very pretty! I'd love to do a private swap after the holidays -- feel free to remind me if you don't hear from me before January starts, and I'll definitely be up for it. Thanks again! :-)
Response: I'm glad you liked them and I'll be in touch in January. :)
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful garden! I too, have started in pots.. this year.. so Im excited to get these started as well, which will be in pots by the end of the week! Im excited.. and again thank you so much and I will so check out your blog!
Comment: What a delightful envelope...an interesting letter, 2 great recipes, and 2 VERY COOL postcards. And I understood the "Morah" right away...I work at a Hebrew Day school, but I'm not Jewish and now, after 8 years, I can't believe how much cool stuff I've learned! Thanks, Laura!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful selection of napkins -- nice mix of nature vs. geometric. I esp. love the toucan one (of course), the black and grey floral one, and the "deco" geometric (awesome colors). The Christmas ones are most welcome too. I really enjoyed your note :) Thanks for the extras and sending me such a wonderful swap! <3<3<3
Comment: I loved your zine and congrats to the contents of your bag! Also...your dream rocks and I'm sorry they keep chasing you. Hopefully your dream self develops teleporting powers and teleports you outta there!!! Lol
Comment: You have the patience of a saint to cut all those leaves out! Very clever concept and one I might borrow one day - its lovely! BTW - you did spell Sukkot right (It was samech you got wrong)! :-D
Comment: Hello Laura (: thank you so much for my Sukkot ATC and letter. I got to shake my Lulav and etrog today and we are enjoying eating in our sukkah (: I am sending you a special Tatted bookmark so be on the lookout for it. I like shuttle gating but have done a few with needle also. Chag Sukkot sameach!
a wonderful circular crochet sample arrived yesterday: thank you much for the handy kitchen accessory! i like the thinner threads worked together to make the pattern & texture more interesting & flexible :)
indeed, postcards muchly appreciated as well - thanks again!
Comment: Thank you for all the wonderful little things..you sent...How great.... they are... Thank you Thank you Thank you.... and I want to say to you Congratualtions to you for your perfect score as well. Pat
You said in your note...you were trying to get a lanyard...for me for this swap...how ironic...I happen to have a lanyard swap going now......Thank you for the beautiful thought.....
Comment: Thanks for the great socks. I loved them can't wait to start using them. Cold here now it started out in the high 40's today now in the low 30's. Crazy weather. Love the extras also. This was a really great idea hope we do this again soon.
Comment: Thanks so much for the Audubon pc! I have just one parrot now, a little "pineapple" colored conure. I had problems during her puberty but somehow it all passed. Still, she is a pretty small bird (65 gr), much smaller than your cockatoo. A 25 year old cockatiel is just wonderful! They are lovely birds.
Comment: Wow that was fast..thanks for the magazines!!! I would love to buy every crochet book I see but theyre so expensive! It's neat that they published your letter!!! I want the oreo blanket pattern so badly but it came out in the following issue and that was back in 2008 lol. Thanks again! =D
Comment: I love the pill bug! What a cool favorite animal. My kids like them too, but they call them rolly-pollies. When I was growing up we called them potato bugs. (And the chicken and owl are neat too. But my favorite is the pill bug.)
Comment: Hello Laura,
Thank you for the stickers you sent that were your "lonely stickers." I look forward to adding them to my collection of "llonely stickers" and using them in various papercraft projects I create in the future. I also look forrward to swapping with you more during 2011.
Comment: I recieved a beautiful surprise in the mail today. It was the granny square scarf you made! I absolutely love it! The colors are perfect. I can't wait for it to cool off a little so that I can show it off. This is the first handmade scarf I've ever owned and it's a favorite already! Thank you so much for your hard work and talent!! ♥
Response: Oh I'm so glad you like it! The colors just came together so nicely and then I discovered I had a skein of the same shade of brown that the colored yarns have as their "tweed" strand... well, I'm happy with how it came out and I'm glad you are too! You're welcome!

Comment: Thanks for the pc...I never read WWZ, but I'm adding it to my reading list. Any other good ones to recommend? I just finished reading the Dark Night series (young adult series about witches) it was pretty good. It's written by PC Cast and her daughter.
Response: Hmm... I'm reading a lot of non-fiction lately, although The Help was very good. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: This is the 2nd 10/10/10 PC I received. I love the color combination and the subject depicted but the best part is the Will Rogers quote. I am definitely putting this quote on my wall at work. Thanks for inspiration! :)
Response: So glad you like it! Thanks for the heart. I didn't keep track of who got what; which quote did you get?
Comment: Thanks for the cool PC Laura! The Basketball H of F looks impressive to me!!!
Response: Cool! You're welcome. The old HofF was a big, rectangular bldg that has a series of big painted "wings" sticking out of it, and as you drove by on the highway, they formed an image of men playing basketball. It was very cool but distracting! heheh
Comment: I think you are right swap-bot wants us to be friends. You sure have pulled my name enought times. I bet you would like someone else for once. Either that or you just get a envelope ready with bmy name on it. Happy swapping and thanks for the great teas.
Response: I'm not swap-stalking you, I swear! ;) Glad you like them.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card. I've always loved Audubon illustrations. We really don't have seasons here. There's summer, which is pretty much year round - and then a two week rainy season. Today for example is 100 degrees. Ugh.
Response: Wow. We live in very different climates! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Love the Autumn postcard! I'd love to see an Autumn in New England. :) Happy Autumn!
Response: Having seen autumn in many parts of the country, I can say that when it's a really good New England fall, it's spectacular. When it's just average (due to weather or whatnot), New Jersey is probably just as nice. :)
Comment: Laura, I received your teas today. I'm giving you an "A" for effort, for trying to find me tea I like. I'll give the ones you sent a try. You know, I've also received recently some of that same decaf vanilla chai (I wonder if we got it from the same person?). I haven't tried it, so we'll see. I probably wouldn't personally seek out decafinated tea either. In any case, again, thanks for trying!
Comment: Hi... I received your unusual PC yesterday.
It says "Twentieth-century prayer" on the back. I guess it may simply be showing the comparison between the Nun and the modern technical way of life we have "advanced"? into. Anyway, it does make one think. Happy September to you, also. It's my favorite month. :-) ~Gail
Comment: Thanks so much I loved everything. I also loved that you wrapped them it was like it was my birthday or christmas. It made it more special. Loved the stamps the owl is cute and the lemon one is great. The tissue paper can always be used. The markers andnotes will come in handy as will the coneffi. Thanks again wish I could give more hearts.
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful letter! Bradenton is directly across the state from Stuart! Stuart is 25 miles north of West Palm Beach. I live very close to Jupiter, home of Greg Norman, Celine Dion, Tiger Woods, and Burt Reynolds.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
Comment: Laura, I enjoy reading about your adventures in trying to find postcards for swaps. Believe it or not, I grew up in a town just a little northeast of you (Templeton). Thanks for the tea too. Have a wonderful day!
