Comment: You can do this!
I would recommend a bullet journal style journal to help you meet that goal. I Googled articles to see what the fuss was about BuJo style journaling. I started one and like it so far.
And you could post a public swap to find a round-robin partner (or review all the profiles of people in the WW group to see if anyone is interested in round-robin writing).
Response: Thank you for the wonderful boats of encouragement. I’m going to be looking into bullet journaling to see if that can help a little bit.
Comment: Hi Tami - sorry for the delay in rating, it was hectic here with the holidays! All great resolutions and I hope you are able to make them work for you! Mine include decluttering - which means I have to put my phone and/or book down and get out of the recliner - yikes! LOL! Wishing you a Happy New Year and may all your resolutions come true! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Can’t you listen to your audio book and a quarter at the same time? LOL :-)
Comment: Tami, thanks for the wonderful eagle image PC. I grew up just across the harbor from Boston, MA and my family told me that a pair of bald eagles had landed on the osprey nest. Watching them must be amazing!
Response: I'd love to be able to be close to one. Majestic would probably be an understatement.
Comment: I wanted to write a long comment with this rating. But after reading your journal twice, I know it would get way too long. I will write you a letter instead. :) This journal was not as "magpie-ish" as I made it but it is very, very special. It touched me in so many ways. I laughed, I cried, I wondered, got curious.... With every single of your honest answers I had the feeling to have a deep conversation with a friend. Your journal means a lot to me and I could write a response to nearly every single one of the 100 answers you gave. I love your journal! You will have to wait for my letter a little bit... it will be veeeeeery long... :D Thank you so much for being such an open person!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. Sorry the magpie portion wasn't as good as what you sent out. Look forward to hearing from you.
Comment: Your journal is sooooo amazing! I looked at it over and over again and I find something new every time... I never had Okra in my garden but next year I will give it a try! :D Thank you so much for this journal and the look into your life. I really enjoy looking at it! Edit: I saw that some of the hearts I rated did not stick. I hope it works this time - I love your journal! :D
Response: I'm so glad you liked it. I had a ton of fun making it. I've got you as another partner so get ready for some more insight into me.
Comment: Thank you for the poem... it was great AND I laughed at the end! (Yes it probably is me inside my head!)
Response: It's odd how you come up with things when you are forced to write without thinking too hard about it.
I actually wrote it out on a piece of newspaper in the middle of painting rocks because the first line kept rolling around in my head. :)
Comment: Thank you for sharing your summer reading, Tami. That book sounds like one I'd enjoy reading. I loved the Victor Hugo quote on the front: "Nothing makes a man so adventurous as an empty pocket." How true!
Comment: Great PC and Happy Birthday to both you and your granddaughter. July is flying we have an out of town wedding this weekend and a few other plans coming up. Have a great summer. Take care, Annette
Comment: Thank you for the PC. The book and series sound interesting. I wished you would have included your view of the book, whether of not you liked it etc.
Response: If it was the Discovery of Witches (I can't remember which book I recommended this time around - brain fart) series it was FANTASTIC and I can't wait to read the next book she has coming out with one of the characters that was in the book. Same world, different series. The series has everything in it, alchemy, genetics, genealogy, time travel, magic, vampires, daemons, witches, etc.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcards! Much appreciated. And thanks for the nice note. I love how much you love your granddaughter!! :) Happy upcoming first birthday to her!
Response: My little Button is the sweetest, and my grandson too (he hates when I call him handsome - he says, "My name is Johnathon Steven!"), he called me the other day and told me all about the three hits he made at T-ball and how he got one guy out because he was on base. He was so very excited. He's almost 6.
Comment: Thanks for the post card. The books by Deborah Harkness sound like something that I would really like. I'm into all that sort of things. Haven't read any for awhile. Been on a History kick lately. Reading LINCOLN by Gore Vidal now. Kind of deep by I've learned a lot. Thanks again.
Response: The woman who wrote the A Discovery of Witches is a historian which makes her books all that much better because everything is history historically accurate. I think you'll enjoy it.
Comment: Thank you for the unusual Girl Scout tea and the extra color coordinated one as well! I had no idea there were cookie flavored teas. I also very much loved everything about the sentence, "it isn't unusual but it matched the envelope.". Hope things are going better with the difficult neighbor, and that you are feeling good. Happy June to you.
Response: Difficult neighbor problems still abound, but there is a ton of tea out there to help ease my stress. Thanks for dealing with my nuttiness.
Comment: I enjoyed your letter immensely. Its fun to get a window into everyone's world. Hope your tummy is feeling better too. Did you manage to get coffee creamer? I do not have regular pen pals at the moment but will check out that website you mentioned. Thank you for the fun swap!
Response: The tummy is getting better by the day. Not sure if I told you about the hernia repair (I suffer from CRS - Can't Remember Shit) but that's mostly healed. Still didn't get coffee creamer. They don't have a smaller size and I can't see wasting money on a large one that will end up thrown away. If you ever want a pen pal, look me up! :)
Comment: Tam, I absolutely LOVED this letter. Every time I read something from you, I find myself relating to so much of it! It was great to get to know you more. A few notes, "Pussy" does not offend (almost nothing does so no worries there). The guys at the VFW will love your jokes, trust me... And I'm right there with you on the Waaay Behind in Letters Train. ;) At least we have each other for company! :D Thank you so, so much for another incredible swap. xoxo
Response: Awww, I'm glad you liked it! :) Put a lot of thought into that one, wasn't as easy as I had thought it would be. :)
Comment: Tami, thank you for the postcard of the Busch Gardens. I have never been there. I don't know how you survived that awful inter. I have never seen it so cold in MA where 2 of my children live. Shirley
Response: It's been a crazy winter here. Thankfully the trees here in NY are finally starting too blossom.
Comment: This was a fun first for me! Thanks for the peek into your life..! We didn't celebrate Easter at all, just scored some ham on Sunday morning on super sale. The kid's only request was ham, heheh. We soaked it in cold water overnight to reduce the sodium which was amazingly high. Happy spring..!
Response: I never thought of soaking a ham. Thanks for the tip. Hugs and love to you and yours.
Comment: Thank you for this postcard. It is always sad when a place you like to shop at closes. Here on Santorini and the place I lived in Athens do not have interesting mail boxes. :( Here there is a small room owned by the community. It has small blue boxes all in one big unit. In Athens it was an odd gold shade of boxes on a wall in the enty way. People forced open the boxes all the time and stole the stuff inside the envelopes and left them on top of the mail boxes. I hated it there.
Response: That sounds like a horrible place to live. Who would mess with the sacred mail gods? LOL
Comment: What a lovely short story! There was a lot of tension between those two characters immediately, I could feel the sparks flying! And the ending made it perfect, not too sappy, but a fun way to "discharge" the romance. I'm betting on a good future for that little chicken! Thank you for hosting and sharing this with me! <3
Response: You're very welcome for hosting. I'm glad that you liked the story. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your super cute turtle baby postcard! We are still having too much snow and weather is quite cold. No hope of spring... I'm planning my daughter's 8th birthday parties and I'm also waiting for the concert of my favourite band! Much nice things to do during this month! :)
Response: Oooh, what's your favorite band? Happy birthday to your baby girl.
Comment: Oh God! You had an annoying & tiring week, but I had an amusing read :D I am kind of high strung too. With all those doctors' appointments - I hope you are doing well! I hope your boyfriend's son had a fun weekend! I like your letter stationery, & I appreciate that you used both sides :) & SOC is such a fun swap!
Response: Glad you enjoy the swap, it's one of my favorites.
Comment: Today you surprised me with your long written journal pages. I love it :) So much to read! I didn't type my pages, because I like to write. So maybe I was too short on my pages. Love to read about your children and grandchildren. I would spoil them also with noisy stuff hehe.
Oh and I have pets hair on my clothes all the time :) so no worries!
And what a lovely lovestory! I love it :)
Wish you all the best with your bald man!! <3
Response: Glad you liked your pages! I had fun with this series.
Comment: Are you sure you're not my sister from a past life or something? Seriously...I absolutely love reading your entries - and your journal. Also, I knew exactly what mise en place was (is) and I was so excited to see someone besides me and my boyfriend use such an ubearably foodie term for a change! Also also, I had a cat called Harry the Bastard. Seriously, I love your Collected Journal pages. Thank you so much for being as blunt and honest and funny in yours as I try to be in mine. A thousand hearts to you, my friend. xoxoxo
Response: I'm so glad you like it. :) I'd keep you as a sister if you'd have me. :)
Comment: Oh my gosh I absolutely loved this! The Blackout Poetry was great (and I'll go up to Rated "R" :D ); I loved your rock painting story, and the candidness of everything. I also had to do a double take, seeing Rochester, NY on the ephemera because my parents live there. What a wonderful swap. Thank you so much for sharing! xoxo
Response: I'm so very glad that you like the swap, there were so many things I wanted to tell you but I couldn't fit it all into one little swap. I hope that we get to meet each other again in one of these swaps.
Comment: LOVE love love the pc!!! I remember that i had the exactly same one when i was a child... in that time that indon’t Know What to do whith pcs jejeje
Response: Glad you loved it. I've already forgotten what I sent out LOL so I'm glad it was one you had before. Do you keep your postcards? I have just filled my first photo box and a bit of another with oversized ones.
Comment: I absolutely loved this collection! Thank you so much! xo
Response: I was hoping that you'd like that! I always worry that people won't like what I send, it's the perfectionist in me. I have you for four the magpie one too. I'm so excited! This one will be fun!
Comment: Thanks for the fun postcard Tami!
And thanks for the book suggestion.. I'm always up for new book ideas. I'll check them out
Response: You're very welcome. Hope you will get as much enjoyment out of them as I have. I'm on my second go round on them. There is a real-time reading companion that goes with it and you read along with the characters on the days that it actually happened in the book. It's quite interesting.
Comment: Guess the USPS decided to deliver on a holiday! Just found your swap in the mail box when I checked out of habit. Who knew? Looks like you went above & beyond - thanks so much!! Can't wait to read through it. :)
Response: I don't know about above and beyond, I just send out something that I would want to receive and something that I would put in my own journal. :) Can't wait til next round.
Comment: Your SOC letter made my day - I finally got a ride to the PO (can't drive due to concussion). My last name is Czech. I have a Greek penpal who travels to Crete at least once a year - she has sent me many a postcard from Crete, and it is indeed beautiful. Hope the reviews are going well and the maintenance guy stops being a proper jerk :)
Response: Turns out the maintenance guy left and we have to share one from another site, so I don't have to worry about the jerk anymore. :) Yay me!
Comment: Thank you for the super cute ATC and poem! I love them! I was smiling all the way through the poem - I think my Loki would "say" something like it to me too! He goes outside on a leash but he longs to cross the street and explore all the gardens there... Thank you so much for joining my swap and sending me something so fun!
Response: I wish I could get my cat to go out on a leash. He has a harness and a leash, but he won't do anything but just lay there.
Comment: Love that you had a corner crease in your cardboard - I've been looking at some too-small chunks and wondering if I could span a corner - maybe now I'll try it!
We've been enjoying a few cool days in August. Nice break from the usual oppressively hot and humid. My cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen. My first attempt ever at squash (delicata) is turning out few squash than I'd expect, but lots of blossoms so maybe more to come. I have mixed feelings about that cuz I'm not a big squash fan (the seedlings were "gifted" to me)!
Comment: Thank you for the great zine! I love that you used washi in it! I'm always looking for ways to use my big collection of washi! LOL! I've been reading Piers Anthony since I was around 10. Mostly the Zanith series and the Mode series.
Response: You need to try to read the Incarnations of Immortality series. It's quite wonderful.
Comment: Thank you for that fun art. It was a delight to take it out of the post box. I hope you have a great trip to Crete when you finally get there. It's great that you've patiently been pursuing your dream for so long.
Response: Thanks so much. I'm glad that you enjoyed it! <3
Comment: Thank you for the cute cupid PC. I haven't watched Grimm it sounds like its right up my alley though and I should get to it! Oh and you have such enviable handwriting. I think I need to start trying harder, lol.
Response: You definitely need to watch Grimm. And everyone seems to think I have good handwriting, but I don't see it. So thank you!
Comment: Thank you. What's so funny is I almost sent a pc with the same words you wrote, but decided against it as it was a picture of Farrah Facet. lol And thank you, 2017 started a bit rough for us, so we are hopeful that the rest of the year is better.
Response: I'm sorry that your month has been rough. I hope that it picks up. I'll pray for you sweetie. If there is anything I can do, I'm here. Just message me if you need a shoulder to lean on. Huggles!
Comment: I really liked reading through your songs. Hoping to find a new fave amongst the list. Happy swapping!
Response: I found a whole lot more songs I could have added through the rest of the month. When normally I don't have very many. So I'm hoping that March is going to be just as good as this month. Feel free to sign up if you'd like.
Comment: Tami! I loved your letter and will send you one back soon. Thank you for being you and so personable - I felt like we were sitting in a room together chatting. It was awesome. Thank you for the postcards inside too!!! Beautiful <3
Response: I'm glad that you liked the letter. You're sweet. :) Look forward to hearing from you.
Comment: Tami, thank you for the Potsdam PC and for the funnest compliment...I'll take it. I cracked up at 1/2 a shade. I like being able to tell when a PC photo was taken and find it on Google Earth. Thanks again - Lisa
Comment: Have you ever returned home to find in your mailbox an adorable PC containing the perfect behind-the-scenes story? I did..luv it, luv it! Thanks Tami! Hearts and hugs coming to you now...jinanne â¤â¤â¤
Comment: Thank you for the wonderfully thoughtful postcard from Sri Lanka, Tami! A friend who works for the State Department used to be stationed there, and he's been to Kandy and seen the dancers. Have you been there yourself?
Response: I have not been there Fred, but I would love to go there. An author friend of mine lives there and I would LOVE to go there just for her cooking and her gotu kola salad. (and herb/weed good for anti-inflammatory properties) Her curries look quite yummy too. Oh the torment of social media and cameras.
Comment: Thank you for the fun Las Vegas Excalibur postcard and for telling me about the book series you are reading. No, I haven't heard of LEP. What is it? :)
Response: LEP = League of Extraordinary Pen Pals. They are a great group of people that come together with a common goal, to pen pal. There are over 500 members, and it is one that you pay for yearly, but it keeps some of the "riff raff" out that way, and it's very much worth it. http://www.extraordinarypenpals.com/
Comment: I loved everything you sent me, the stickers, the postcard, the card, the washi, the tea ... and the balloons I found the most original in the world, the envelope is beautiful, I thank you for dedication with all my heart, greetings from Chile
Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed what I sent to you. Many hugs and love to you!
Comment: Love your list! I was transported back to my childhood with I wish it would rain down and I don't wanna lose your love tonight! I love those songs. And oh my goodness, Charmed! Lol! I haven't watched that in ages. Thanks so much!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. I had fun compililng the list. Now I have I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love stuck in my head again and I don't want to put that in my December list. *sticks fingers in ears and hums*
Comment: Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'm going to look out for that book, as it sounds pretty fun!
Response: It is quite a fun book. I keep wondering how a library would be able to have a book like that since there are so many pieces. Do they check to see if each piece would be in it every time it comes back in? And do they order spare parts? LOL That's how my silly mind goes.
Comment: Thank you for sharing these lovely items with me, especially the paper and envelopes from your mother - you reminded me that I have some stationery from when I was 8 years old still stashed away :)
Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed your package. Use your stash. I'm trying before I buy more. There's a stationary subscription I want to get, but I have too much already.
Comment: Hello Tami! Thank you for the beautiful PC showing artwork - a painting of a Light House you sent to me for the swap. Thanks for you comment about my profile. Yes, I love photography also. This Autumn/Winter I'm sorting thru my photos, ones I've found in my packing boxes from my move to FL. In the past it seems I took my camera nearly every where with me. Now I'm glad I did when I see all the photos. Hope you have a good November! Take photos of Autumn in your area.
Response: I'll try to get my photos of my camera and post some too your comments of three pictures I took this autumn. Hugs and love.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard, Tami! It's very pretty, even with the people in it. :-) I'm so sorry to hear that you have ladybugs that bite in your area. And I'm doubly sorry to hear that you're afraid of them. After your talk of fears, I was afraid to turn the card over, but it's a beautiful card, so thank you! :-)
Response: Oh, I'd never send a scary card to someone, just noticed your fear on your profile and thought you might find my story interesting/bizarre. I am quite the mix of both myself.
Comment: I had to guess your card was for this swap but it wasn't too hard to figure out, luckily! :-) I love February because of Valentine's Day and my birthday is on the 9th. Hope your month is going well!
Comment: This. Was. Hilarious. I read it out loud to my boyfriend, who got a kick out of it as well. Earthquake? Homeless people?! Corrupt mayor?! Taxes?! THE PICTURES ON THE FLYER?!?!?! Hahahahah. Yes. Thank you for some great laughs from a very well-written, fancy looking ad. Pretty please with a cherry on top!
Comment: Wow, This is such a beautiful swap! Thanks for sharing your life with me! I loved reading your letters. The different papers and fonts are wonderful too. I will write back soon and hope you do not mind me writing by hand?
Response: I don't mind if you write by hand, I just can't because of my arthritis. Can't wait to hear from you.
Comment: Great card and quote. January is going to be good as I'm back reading again. Couldn't seem to manage much during Christmas rush. Hope your January and the rest of the year is GREAT!! Chris crispycritter
Response: You'll have to message me and tell me what you're reading. I'm always curious.
Comment: Hi Tami! What a fun pc for your letter carrier to read and it is great that you appreciate them! My hubby is a walking mail man so I get to hear all the stories, the folks that are kind and the ones that are not very.... It is a tough job and not for everyone, that is for sure!! I so could not do it, as I don't like being hot, cold, or wet! LOL! On the plus side, he can eat like a horse and not gain a pound, that still is not an incentive for me!! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I agree with you, there is no way you could pay me to be a postal carrier. Not even in a car. Driving in the snow and rain. Not my cup of tea.
Comment: I'm not much into werewolves, but I'll give this a try when published. Loved your font though!
Response: Oh, I'm a font-aholic, it's really bad. I'm glad you thought the book was good. I'm enjoying it so far. I need to take the time to finish it, I have 4 more that need to be reviewed right now. So the clock is ticking. <3
Comment: What beautiful paper and such a cute font!!! Thank you so much for the page! Very interesting! I'll have to check it out! I enjoy a good paranormal romance from time to time!
Response: Oh, I'm a font-aholic, it's really bad. I'm glad you thought the book was good. I'm enjoying it so far. I need to take the time to finish it, I have 4 more that need to be reviewed right now. So the clock is ticking. <3
Comment: Received your Hunter Riley pc. We were camping in Yosemite NP when a swarm of ladybugs came through--it was a fantastic sight, but they were also the biting kind. Kids were in bathing suits and they were being bitten--had to get in the nearby river to avoid contact. I couldn't believe they bite!
Response: It's the oddest thing ever. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's ever been bitten by them. :( But sorry you've had to experience it. Thanks for rating.
Comment: Hello Tami! ^^
I love the book you recommended but can I know the title and author of it? I went over to the website you left me but I have no idea where to start looking! :P
Would love to hear from you soon! ♥
Response: Hope for Garbage by Alex Tully
I thought I had put it in there. The reason it's not on that page yet, is I haven't finished it yet. :)
Comment: I remember the days of kids running in and out of the house. Enjoy it while you can it comes to an end way to fast and all you have left is the memories. Thanks for the interesting PC
Response: I currently have a 22 year old and a 20 year old as well, so I understand ask to well how time flies. I think I'm wishing for attitude adjustments. But I think that didn't hit me until my early 39s so might not want to wish that away either.LOL
Comment: Tami, thanks for the great view of SUNY Potsdam. That was one wild ride through NYC! Sorry for the delay in rating, your PC was in a pile with holiday cards that I just went through!!! happy mails
Comment: Thank you, Tami, for the label bags. I feel very guilty, now, because, you are my partner in the excess swap. I hope you are ready for my mailing. It is going out today, Tue. 3/3/15. Please forgive me, lol. pobuffy
Response: Why do I need to forgive you? No need every darling! <3
Comment: Thank you, Tami, for the FBs. I will work on them asap. Just wanted to let you know that they did come postage due for 21 cents. Don't worry about it, I got it, but you might want to have your items checked out in the future. Thanks again, Rebecca/pobuffy
Response: No way Rebecca, please send me your address and I'll send you a Forever stamp to make up for it. It was my mistake. Tami
Comment: Thank you for the playlist, I find YouTube playlists very useful for music swaps so it's great to see someone else use them, too. I would have loved some explanations or stories of when each song played in your head, they would give a better picture of how your mental jukebox works. I can really understand the Mannheim Steamroller and the Gummi Bear song is an obvious choice, haha! Old well known melodies like the Auld Lang Syne are very likely to play in ones head all of a sudden, I think :) And I loved that Alanis' album when I was a teen... :D
Response: Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to remember why they pop in when they do.
Comment: I got your journal, great presentation! I haven't had time to read further than the first page (your little intro letter), but I'll read a bit each day until I'm done. Thanks! *Edit: I just flipped to a random page; my favorite band is also the Eagles xD
Response: I knew you'd be an awesome persons person
Comment: My handwriting goes up and down hills too. When I sew I have to position my sewing machine at an angle! Thanks for all the wonderful and unique items you sent me for this swap-the retro images and postcards are great and have to try that author-I like paranormal stuff! Thanks for sharing and brightening my day-its very gloomy and cold here today. Happy new Year!
Response: You're so wonderful, i hope you're getting warmer.
Comment: Thank you for the precious pic of Earl. Just too sweet. My son as well worked with a Cat rescue in Clarksville, TN. They helped to adopt out several kitties. But everyone they brought to foster was sick in form or another. It is so sad to see so many animals to be left to their own defenses and abandoned. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with Earl. I know how very happy he is that you. :-)
Response: We've fostered many kittens and it's so sad that we have to. We've watched many thrive, and many wither. I'll never be able to do it again. Not after seeing the last batch go through such a hard time. Blessings to you as well.
Comment: He looks so sweet. I love his name. I can't believe he was so calm and slept in the car. I always here about how uneasy cats get in the car. Thanks for sharing!
Response: He was great in the car for a while, then we stopped taking him in the car and now he's a mewling mess just like the others. At least he's not like Jack who ..... well you can guess every time he gets in the car. It's rather stinky.
Comment: Hi Tami, I love your RPPC! It's great! I will have to try the McDonald's sweet tea. What did you eat for Thanksgiving??? I am originally from NY but moved to Tn over 40 years ago now. I'm shrinking too! Enjoy a happy and health life, Jane
Response: Thanksgiving this year was easy, it was Turkey, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, peas, corn, stuffing, and gravy. But when company comes over it consists of candied yams, cranberry dessert, pies, and I'm sure I've forgotten something. Thanks for the blessing of a happy and healthy life, I wish that to you as well. <3
Comment: Wow! You cook for 3 days? That must mean you've already started!
Thanks for the bonus card as well! xoxo
Response: I start on all the stuff that will take planning and cutting and dicing, and mixing and....yep, already started, and love every minute. I've been planning this year's festivity since last year.
Comment: Thanks for the story of how you got our kitten and saved his litter mates is a good one. The post office managed to stamp over some words. I appreciate the photo-postcare with the quilted jacket it on it. A very interesting jacket.
Response: I'm glad you liked the story, it its near and dear to my heart. Sorry about the words getting stamped over.
Comment: After mailing 10 items this weekend (from Sat thru Monday AM), I received a bumper crop of mail myself including your Boring person ATC. I LOVE stamp head swaps and your ballerina was a HOOT!!! Also loved the Winnie the Pooh packaging. I may have to copy that idea. Thanks for a lovely swap.
Response: I was half tempted to keep the ballerina for myself. You can get the flashcards at the dollar store for a dollar. Gotta love a cheap way to keep things from moving around. :)
Comment: Thanks for the yarn card! (: I'm not sure if you can knit backwards... Do you knit left-handed maybe? :O I am left-handed but knit right-handed.
Response: I knit right handed, but they say that I was knitting backward and that they couldn't teach me. I paid for a class at Michaels and they cut the class in half even though I was the only one in the class.
Comment: gee. How kind of you to extend that invitation – it would be fantastic to see your region of the country (less so during winter holidays > might be too cold more me to bear) I appreciate those local postcards & delighted to imagine your warm, welcome & delicious home will be like for thanksgiving … for those lovely thoughts I offer my best rating ;) thanks & best wishes always!
Response: You certainly wouldn't want to see our place right now, we are currently expecting 8-18 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. So much for a snow free Thanksgiving. :) But we will have some wonderful smells coming from my house. Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, peas, gravy, deviled eggs, cranberry desert, and I'm sure I'll find more. It's great here in spring and summer though.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely aerial view of historic Market St., Potsdam, NY. Thank you for choosing one of my favorite types of pcs (street scene)...for that you've made this extra special and earned the heart. Happy holidays.
Response: I was so glad that I read you liked those. I just picked that card up a few days before. I'm happy I did.
Comment: hey tami! thanks so much for the funny postcard, it was a great halloween surprise:D Its funny what a small world swapbot was bc i thought your address looked familiar, turns out i recently send you a pC for the 5-10 random facts swap. so you already know some stuff about me:P im gonna try to get another pc out to you soon tho :P
Response: Looks like I'm lucky to have you. Because I get to have you as a friend and not just a fly by night person! Yay! I'm glad you liked the funny postcard.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard! I hope you get to fulfill your wish! :) and your handwriting is lovely, by the way! Looks just like my mother's!
Response: I hope I get to fulfill my wish too, thank you. I never really looked at my handwriting til I got got older, and I noticed that my handwriting looks like my mother's too. We must have wonderful mothers!
Comment: Very cute PC -- I haven't had frozen pizza in ages! I'm ok with PCs and letters from cat owners, but something like a stuffed animal or blanket with cat fur on it would probably set my allergies off. I've been able to pet a few cats lately without reacting, so perhaps I'm getting better? My lab gets along with my shih-tzu mix really well -- the lab's kind of an old man, so the shih-tzu kind of bullies and dotes over him in turn. They look a bit odd together, but they get along really well. Thanks for the question and the nice PC! EDIT: OH! I'm sorry -- I misunderstood your question, too! I have seen labxshih-tzu mixes; they look kind of like terriers with fur like a lab. ...I'll go edit my profile so that I don't confuse others lol
Response: I thought your dog WAS a lab shih-tzu mix, that's why I was so confused. LOL. Glad my 5 cats didn't get you too set off with allergies. I was so worried.
Comment: Heh. I think there is a postal typo on your card. It says, 'Hell Friend'. I am laughing - is that a really BAD friend? It's kinda sitting on bubbling pizza, so you know, hot and lava-like. I'm guessing that somewhere in the postal equipment there is now a letter "O" gumming up the works. Thanks for the giggle!
Response: Well, hell was not the intended message. LOL! I'm glad that you understand typoese and got a giggle from it. *blushing*
Comment: Thank you for sending extra stuff! I think the stamps are just beautiful, I've already used the stationary on a penpal letter, and I think I may use the book pages on an ATC. Thanks again. Happy swapping! Caitlyn
Response: I'm glad you are already finding use for the extra stuff. I just can't seem to send just what is asked for. :) I'd love to see a pic of the ATC.
Comment: Such a cute PC -- the stickers (or are they a rub on design?) make it even cuter! I agree with your sentiment about how Cardboard PCs are a bit like a peek into others' lives. I love seeing all the different Chunks I get and what people have to say about them~
Response: They were rub ons. I found them in my stash of stickers I forgot I had. I'm so loving this site.
Comment: Hi Tami, I file my postcards in pretty shoe boxes. I look at them abd dream of travel to distant places instead of watching TV. Thank you for the clever postcard.
I buy the shoe boxes at Michael's when they are on sale for $2.
Response: Do you make the shoe box pretty or do you just wait to find the right one? Thanks for listening to all my questions.
Comment: Lol! Cute cows Yes, its definitely a challenge finding cool chunks. Sometimes I buy beer just for the cardboard... needless to say I have qiute a few beers in my frig ;) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Too bad Jack Daniels doesn't come in cardboard. :)
Comment: Tami...maybe we've met before somewhere, in some other time, because the quote you sent was both inspiring and perfect for me. I loved the little tag with the brown organza ribbon in its matching pocket! This is the first swap I've ever received and it will be forever special... thank you!
Response: I'm glad it was perfect for you. When I found it I realized that I needed it for myself too. I hoped you'd like the little extra in there, I know it wasn't much, but I hoped it brightened your day!
Comment: I received your PC today! Keeping up with the emails can be so difficult -- one of my goals this week was to clean out my email inboxes, and there's just so much... Very interesting PC, too -- I hardly ever even look at this genre, but I'm going to check out Mechele's site! Thanks!
Response: I thought you might like to have a signed author postcard. It was the last in my stash. Thanks for commenting on it. I have my emails down to 17 right now! Woo hoo!
