Comment: Your chunk made me AND my 18yo smile. He is the one who started me watching Parks & Rec (originally while I was cooking dinner and he was watching on the imac in the adjoining room!). Needless to say we both loved the chunk.
Comment: Thanks for the great chunk! I loved The Office. I recommend it for a binge watch sometime when you have time. I like to watch shows that way, then you know what you are getting into and you can just watch it all when you have time :)
Comment: Thank you for the chunk!! These are my favorite. The movie sleeves are such a good idea!! That's so nice of you to volunteer at your library. I love the library. I hope your are having a great summer!!
Response: I actually work at the library which is better in some ways and some not. Anyway I'm glad you liked it :)
Comment: Thank you tons for the awesome envie and all of the goodies. I am sorry you had to send it twice, I hate that when it happens to me. It usually happens to me when I trade coins with a friend in Canada bc if someone along the postal route feels coins inside sometimes they take them (that is my guess about where they go anyway). One time I had to send 3 times and I was pretty aggravated that a swap cost me so much money. Anyway, it doesn't happen too often so it is still worth it right? Have a great weekend!
Comment: In recent years, I have started falling asleep during long fight scenes. It started with Spiderman, then continued with The Avengers. They're sorta like my college equivalent of boyfriends who used to shush me, "Shhhh! Guitar Solo" when listening to their beloved rock stars. Insert huge eye roll and yawn!! LOL! When I was a kid, I wanted to be a librarian. I actually did volunteer at a member-supported library for about 12 years, but mostly just working the desk, answering questions and checking out materials (with a date stamp! in the 2010s!!). Thanx for your enjoyable card!
Comment: Ok, I LOVE your map envelope!! And your airmail stamp, perfect. I just adore the southeast asian stamps you sent! And the fake $20, I think will go into my collection just because 🤓. I also really like that neat French map card. Thanks for everything!
Comment: Such an adorable "vespa" card to pass around. the extra card you included for me is Bronners which is only an hour from our home in Michigan. Went there all year long. town itself, had great little gift shops. Thank you for providing a nice memory. Have a great week.
Comment: Thank you, I enjoyed reading your note and all of the extras â¤ï¸ I didn't really start swapping until July and I'm pretty much always at the max of 20, hehe! I think I'm addicted, I love it! I really enjoy sending things that I think will make someone happy, and I love receiving things that someone put together just for me...like your package â¤ï¸ It totally made my day! â¤ï¸
Comment: Teena, your first flipbook is amazing! I absolutely love it, so chic! Thanks for the book mark too, I will definitely be using it, I just placed quite a few holds for books from my library. I love the little pockets and how you put your letter in the teeny envelope, so much fun! I have read Ender's Game (I refused to see the movie, =P) but my favorite OSC book is Pastwatch. Loooooove the Night Circus, one of my favorites. Are you a member of Goodreads? I'd love to be friends with you there, you can search my name and my avatar is the goat from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. = ) Thanks again, I'd give 100 hearts if I could!
Response: I loved Pastwatch too. Very underrated. I will friend you on Goodreads for sure!
Comment: Such a great swap! Thank you for all these fun goodies! I will put them all to great use!!! <3 I hope you are having a good Labor Day!! I cannot believe that my girls go back to school tomorrow *sigh* We sure did have a great summer!!
Comment: Thanks so much for the postcard, and for sending mail to refugees! Thank you for your words as well. It is very easy to get discouraged with all the violence in the world. But the acts of kindness -- sending mail to a refugee, or saying Good Day with a smile to a stranger -- they must add up and create goodness in the world as well!
Comment: Thank you! Love the envelope. I hated to open it because it is so pretty. I loved all the papers inside. Thank you for the sticky notes, etc. Loved EVERYTHING! I'm going to use a lot of it in my planner.
Comment: <3 (an extra heart)
Amazing swap. I love love love the postcard. I showed it off to everyone who was at my house yesterday! Not only was that amazing enough to seal your heart, your message was so great to read.
Night Circus, I didn't pick it for my book club, because I thought either you really had to get into it, or you would think it's tedious and confusing. Then again, maybe that is perfect for a book club with varying opinions. For me, once I dove into the circus world, I was entranced! When I finished the book I felt lost. I did like some of the side stories more than the main story, but there was an appeal to 'have to know how it ends'.
I also enjoyed the quote. It's very inspiring.
Comment: Thanks for sharing your Round #3 of lists. This is such a fun swap. I have a little trouble coming up with 15 of some things. Love how you decorated all the pages guess I'm just not as creative. Thanks again.
Comment: Teena! These envies are awesome! So weird, I love them. The bird in a hat with jack-in-the-box-head? Bizarre! And the super long horse is great too. Thanks for the envies, and the washi tapes--I don't have any of those patterns! Extra hearts for you: ♥ ♥ ♥
Response: I'm glad you like them. When I read your profile I noticed we like a lot of the same things so I thought you would appreciate some weirdness like I do. ;)
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful handmade notebook packed full in interesting songs lyrics. There were quite a few artists that I haven't heard of so I'll definitely be checking them out.
What was funny was some of your selected artists (although not the same songs) featured in the notebook I sent my partner. Both Toto and the Beatles had songs in mine too.
P.S The washi tape was a lovely surprise.
Comment: Wow! What a treat! Your notebook looked awesome, was fun to read, and just all around fantastic. I loved the poem you included as well. It made me laugh - while being very well written!
Response: Yeah every once in a while I write something decent. Glad you enjoyed the notebook. I hope people will stick with it through the upcoming rounds so we all have some great list journals in the end.
Comment: Words fail me - I don't know where to begin - The whole entire PL was just amazing. Every single pocket was decorated so cute - and - the innards were fabulous. This is a ReallyReallyReally super god pocket letter. I can't get over how cute it is - It's a keeper! And I love your decorated envelope too - and - Thank you for the birthday wishes. Thank you for Everything!!!
A Million hearts to you!
Response: I'm really glad yo liked it so much. Thanks for all the hearts. :)
Comment: I received nice washi tapes and extras from you !
I really love them very much, and the best is bugs'.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you again for joining this swap I hosted !
Comment: Dear Teena, I came home tonight from a business trip to a lovely mail from you! Just the envelope itself is so beautifil that I would be happy even if there would be notnig else inside. :) Thank you so much! I loooooove all the washi samples, especially the ones with birds and owls and the paisley pattern. And thank you so much for all the extras you sent. I love all the scrapbook papers and tags. This happy mail just made my day! Thank you.
Comment: Thanks for the cute washi tape! I love the one with equations. Technically, the envie was supposed to be decorated with washi tape and you used deco tape, but I'll let it slide ;) LOVE the ATC you sent. Orange is my favorite!!! How did you make it?
Response: Guess I figured some deco tape on the envelope would be OK since it isn't meant to be reused. Glad you like the ATC. I made it by layering a bunch of fabrics and threads on a foundation cloth, sewing everything down, chopping it into ATC size pieces, finishing the edges, adding some beads and gluing it to the backing. Orange is my favorite color too!
Comment: Thanks for the nice washi samples (they are all new to me), the pocket they came in, the stickers and the wonderful stamps. (I don't have a very big selection of skinny washi in my stash either).
Comment: Thank you so much for the 3 beautifully decorated envelopes which I found in my mailbox today. Yup, all 3 together! You really spoiled me with the goodies too. Thanks for the extra washi tape samples! Big heart to you! Xx Nina
Comment: Hi Teena! I loved your answers! And I love Ender's Game....have you read any more in the series? Bean's storyline is great. Once I named my cat Ender (he got hit by a car), and I named one of my dogs, Bean (he lives with my in-laws because we had to move and couldn't have more than 1 dog). I read the Princess Bride for the first time in 10th grade, and I've probably read it at least 20 times since then! I hope to write you a letter soon!
Response: I've read most of the books Card has written, including the Ender and Bean series. Looking forward to your letter!
Comment: I really enjoyed reading your book answers. We have some similar tastes...Ender's Game and I love Anne Shirley too! I have a copy of Tomcat in Love but haven't started it yet and I also want to read something by Neil Gaiman. I'm going to try a few others that you read and liked :)
Response: Just finished Tomcat in Love. I really had a hard time liking the main character but O'Brien is such a great writer I still kept reading. Also, you can't go wrong with Gaiman. I recommend Anansi Boys, American Gods or Neverwhere. His newest is pretty good too though kinda short and reminiscent of Coraline. Enjoy!
Comment: Why can I only give one heart!?!?!? Thank you SO much for an awesome swap! Was thrilled to find a letter inside the gorgeous envelope. LOVED it, read it twice. And that would have been more than enough - but you included the beaded/embroidered postcard that I can't put down. I keep running my fingers over it. So lovely and tactile and perfect. Thank you so much! I've written half a letter back to you in my head already. Will get it all down on paper and mail it out! <3
Comment: Firstly, WOW! The envelope and the tape and the letter stickers and the mini-crochet! It was all so wonderful! I wish I could give you extra hearts~ (Not to mention the fact that yes, bacon is amazing.)
Comment: Beautiful sewn ATC again. I really like this one but I liked the denim one that you sent on the other swap. Thank you for the stamps and the sweet sticky note thingys. I like that you keep getting me for the swaps. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks a lot for the beautiful envelope and lovely postcards! They are a welcome addition to my collection. Esp. the lavender one, I get very excited when I get a new one with that! Have a great day~
Comment: Nice envelopes. All the extra goodies are nice also. I love the little bird. And if I stumble I will try to make it part of the dance. When I received this the envelope was torn on edge side I hope nothing fell out. Thanks again.
Comment: LOVE IT! You did an awesome job...love all the different textures and for whatever reason just love the hair pin in it. Very creative! When I used on a different atc the fruit wrap I used my heat gun and it melted. It was cool!
Comment: I love the green and gold chevron pattern! As soon as I saw that gorgeous ATC you sent , a bell went off in my head. The style reminded me a lot of one I recieved a couple of years ago that is kept on a mini easel at my work desk. I was right! I'm now the very proud owner of 2 wonderful ATC's made by you! Thank you so much! (thank you for the extras as well!)
Response: That's pretty cool! And I'm glad that you enjoy them. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful letter and beautiful ATC - seriously, it's gorgeous! I completely agree with you points about Buffy...except regarding Dawn. Maybe it's because I came to the show late (started watching when the show was in the 7th season), and devoured the earlier seasons as fast as I could, but I never had a problem with Dawn. I do think she came into her own much more in the last season (love the episode where she realizes she isn't a slayer, and her conversation with Xander about it), and, yeah, she was a little annoying and whiny in season 5 and the first half of 6. But I guess I thought that was a pretty fair depiction of how many teenagers tend not to realize that there is more to the world than their own problems, at least until they mature a bit. After all, Buffy was a bit whiny when she was Dawn's age too! I totally agree with your comments about Spike and Anya, though. I loved both of them, and their awsomeness was knida unappreciated in the show. I also felt that Tara was treated in the same way - super character who did not deserve to have her story end the way it did!
Response: Maybe I'm a little harsh when it comes to Dawn. I get a little impatient sometimes with how the media depicts teens. I have six kids the last of which will be 13 in Nov. and all of them have been and are delightful as teens. But maybe that's because they don't live in Bufffy's world. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it and the ATC> The person who wrote to me made the same points about Spike and Anya so obviously we are right about that. Yeah!
Comment: Oh-My-Gosh Teena! Your ATC is absolutely Gorgeous!...really exquisite! I'm very proud to have it in my collection! Thank you so very much! The stamps are Awesome! and I wish I could give you many more hearts!
Comment: I just love reading about other peoples thoughts and lives. Even if you think its boring it really is interesting to me. Thanks so much for sharing! I love how you put together your book. I may have to copy that idea ;) And I absolutely LOVE the fabric postcard! Does the USPS accept it? Not that I would ever send it to anyone. That one stays with me! Thanks so much for a wonderful journal!
Comment: Wow seems like just too tame a word to describe the ATC you sent me. Beautiful, amazing, delicately textured, and incredible all aply also, but still don't even touch on how lovely it is. I LOVE it! I keep it on my desk at work and just looking at it makes me relax and think of the ocean. Thank you so so much!
Comment: Teena: Thank you for charming ATC with the Eiffel Tower picture. That's one of my faves (I use it all the time). I'd be interested to find out where you got those flat round silver medallion things that are attached at both ends of the word PASSPORT. Where can I buy some of those?
Response: They were from a strip of border stickers I found at Michaels.
Response: Thanks for the message. I thought I was being really clever sending out bite-size envelopes but apparently the post office found them too small. I'm surprised yours even got to you since most of them were returned to me. Should have checked those regulations... sigh... Live and learn. Anyway, glad you liked it and didn't have to pay.
Comment: I just LOVE everything you sent!!! The papers are all fabulous and all the other little goodies. I can hardly wait to dig in and use them. Everything is so me. Thanks for a great swap and being such a great partner. Hugs & Hearts, Mona
PS-Love the envie!
Comment: I was laughing almost the whole way through your letter. You were very humorous in your descriptions of the things you found. Thank you also for the Extras. I'm going to be putting some of them to use almost immediately.
Comment: WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! Teena this was such a wonderful parcel to come home to today after a hard day at work, I love all the lovely beads you've sent me, how exciting to look through them all and I know I'll find a good use for them all, thank you so much and I hope one day I'll be your partner again and will be able to send you something as lovely as you have sent me..happy swaping and this comes with very best wishes Barbara
