Comment: Thank you for the very beautiful yellow postcard! I love it!
I think you are very brave to wild camp! I used to do that when I was younger but now I want a comfy bed. lol
The summer here was very wet so I'm glad to see it go. That being said...it has been pouring rain all day here. It's miserable and damp. Fingers crossed for sunshine tomorrow! Happy swapping! ☀️
Comment: Hello, What a cute postcard! I absolutely agree regrets can fill you with loss, especially the older you get. I am pleased to say, I finally achieved my work and life balance. Trying to reduce those regrets! Thanks so much for the info and your kind thoughts. Hugs, Luisa
Comment: Thank you for your card dealing with otology, and optology. I wasn't aware of the facts you mentioned. I can have a conversation with my cats that my ears, though may not be up there with their hearing, is at least always working! I appreciate the feline stickers used.
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful PC and for taking the time to read my profile. We could totally be friends...bikes or not! I read your profile and we share several interests. Yoga is awesome! I love washi. Natural materials? (leaves, pine needles, acorns, flowers, pinecones). As an environmental biologist...all these things are right up my alley. I'm glad you enjoy swapbot, I find it really fun too. If you ever want to send PCs outside of a swap, just let me know. Keep on cycling...maybe you can take over 1st place in your friendly competition! Best, Rick
Comment: Thank you for the nice postcard. A bike trip like the one you did sounds great. I hope you had a good time. This summer I went blueberry picking for the first time on our trip to Sweden. It was nice but in that one blueberry field had been tons of mosquitos....however the pancakes I made of the blueberries were great.
Response: Sounds amazing and thanks for accepting this bluberry card for the swap :)
The mosquitos ARE annoying here in Scandinavian woods..
Comment: What a lovely, brightly decorated envelope- I enjoyed opening it to awesome surprises inside. So glad you were able to visit Madison and enjoyed it! Sending lots of positive vibes back from Wisconsin!
Comment: Thank you so much for the postcard, Kaija! I love all of the stickers and stamps from Finland are my absolute favorite. What pen do you use? I'm so impressed by how much you can fit on one postcard! My favorite 100 postcard set is "Garden Fresh: A Medley of Vegetables and Fruit". It's so colorful and the postcards are a nice size. Maybe we'll get a chance to send something to each other on Postcrossing one day :) -Kai
Response: I also have the garden fresh box, I love it too!
If it’s black pen, then it’s edding 0,3 pigment pen.
Comment: Thank you for your card; I love the artistic theme. I still believe there is genocide currently underway, Ukraine. There might be more in the future. You have to be aware of it and help with it. It's not easy. Have a peaceful year!
Comment: Hi Kaiju, I thoroughly enjoyed your letter and it was fun to see we listed some same favorites (4seasons) & annoyances (non-blinkers). I did look up son Doong & it does look fascinating. Thank you f I hope we cross paths again.
Comment: Thank you for the nicely illustrated, "The Status Civilization." I'm not a fan of science fiction, but have been bombarded with Hubby enjoying it. He says it's partly truth, but no. I asked him about this novel, as it was published the year of his birth. I'm waiting for a reply. I enjoy reading and will tolerate short stories of science fiction.
Comment: Thank you so much for the ugly postcard! You are right, the front is pretty strange, but I love the way you decorated the back side. The stickers are all so beautiful, and even the stamps match! What a great card! Thank you so much for the great Swap!
Comment: Hi Kaija, thank you for the fun PC! I agree that found or chosen families are just as important, if not more so in some cases, than the ones that we are born into - I'm glad that you have them there for you :) Take care, Deb
Comment: Thank you for the pretty non-binary postcard! The person who made it is very talented and I love how you decorated it! I hope we'll get more swaps like these and that you'll be able to get a passport with your gender one day ♥
Comment: first of all the envelope was so fun to see! where did you find pokemon washi? I have a heart time picking favorite postcards but the camera one is definitely up there lol. I super appreciate at the additions of the playing cards too!! thank you!
Comment: thank you so much for the beautiful postcard and decorations! you really blew me away, its amazing! and to answer your question, I found daniel johnston through the youtuber/musician weird paul! that was about 5 or so years ago and hes been one of my favorite musicians since! best wishes :)
Comment: Thankyou for sharing your secret with me! I completely understand how you are feeling and i've often thought the same thing about the people that are in my life. I wish the best for you and your friends and i hope everything works out :)
Comment: For some reason universe wanted to choose us as partners for this swap, even when there's 35 people participating. Wow! :D
It's not a surprise that your package was once more over the top - Loved the extra thing you sent and also the washis were cute. Thank youuuuu! <3
Comment: Kaija, thank you for this wonderful swap, it was very noob friendly, and I loved it.
Thank you for the Moomins PC. OMG, I loved it. Moomins are not very big in the US, idk why.
I also love the 90's version, the anime version with Nominally. Love it! You made my day. Thank you so much!
Comment: Kiitos aivan ihastuttavasta kirjeestä, tarroista ja postikorteista! 🌼🌿 Sun omatekemä kirjepaperi on tosi kaunis (kuten kaikki muutkin - aina on tilaa myös yhdelle kawaii-paperille hih) ✨ Kiitos kun sain kurkata sun elämään yhden kuukauden ajan. Lähetän valoa ja linnunlaulua sun kevääseen 🕊
Comment: I agree, this swap was made for cards like this one. Are there graphic designers out there who think printing cards like this very ugly state map are a bright move? I doubt it... So mission accomplished, You found the perfect card for an ugly PC swap! Thanks!
Comment: Hello :) I received your wonderful package today, I really like the black sketchbook, I had never tried one so I immediately experimented with the uniposca you gave me and some I had! I also love the journal and papers you created. Handmade things are special and you are very good! In notes with recycled paper it comes with me in my bag :) Thanks for everything, I felt really special :)
Response: 🥰 thanks for the nice comments! I’m super glad you liked the stuff that I sent and it actually arrived, phew! I would love to see what you drew, so if you want to share it, I would love to see pictures via email kaija(at)kaijapapu.com
Comment: Kaija, your happy mail made my day - i love it all. The pc's are pretty awesome, especially the one with the eye anatomy. I will write you back with the answers to the Stranger Things quiz questions. Love from NZ, Carola
Response: I got your quiz answers today! Thank you so much 😊❤️
You nailed all of them, except Max’s full name, which is Maxine Mayfield.
As a reward you get one extra life in the upside down world!
Comment: Thanks for the PC! I also picked a botanaical subject for my "B" card:) Yours is prettier though! How did you learn to make bottle gardens?? That sound so cool!! I have over 20 potted plants in my office now, they bring me such joy, but they do need constant care & attention. Wishing you a lovely weekend:)
Response: Thanks for the nice message. First I learned about bottled gardens from a indoor plant book from the 70’s. After that it has just been trial and error.. One that I had for five years without opening just died, because I moved it to another room 😑
Comment: Thank you for this beautiful postcard, I love the stickers you decorated with! I know a few of the songs you mentioned but will check out the other ones :) btw in my native language (Latvian) your name Kaija means seagull ^.^
Response: So nice to hear you liked it ❤️
And I’m a proud seagull!!
Comment: Thanks for the great card & stamps:) I have this same card in my collection so it’s super cool to receive it “written & stamped”!! Plus I learned something so that’s extra fun:) I’d pick astrogeology too. Hope you are well!
Response: So nice that you liked it 😊 I really like this swap series, maybe we’ll meet ”here” again in some letter.
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing! I am honoured to have your confidence. Just today I learnt of the accidental death of a street puppy I feed occasionally. I realise it is an inescapable part of life. I have heard it described as 'your baseline for happiness is higher; you're always a bit sad'. I relate to that. Hopefully, our memories keep them alive in our hearts and there's a small trait or more of the deceased in us. Thank you for the postcard, stamps and stickers.
Response: Thank you for the kind words ❤️ It means a lot
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! It’s perfect! I absolutely love hedgehogs - so adorable! ❤️ I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I do always try to live each day better than the one before. Thanks for the books recommendation! I’ll have to add it to my list. Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you so very much for the wonderful postcard! I dont eat mushrooms ether since I was once poisened and very ill... but I love to spot them in the forest and take pictures of them. Wishing you many lovely moments in the forest to enjoy the little things in life. Love Jill
Comment: I was so blown away by how you decorated and organized your letter! (And thank you for the washi!). I really enjoyed reading your answers and your reflections about the walking trip. The cycling trips sound so nice as well. I had more to say, but I nearly spit out my water at "cake ballooney" and I'm not sure I'll recover. Absolutely wild, I have so many questions (were these items functional?) but alas, until next time... Happy 2023!
Response: Haha! Thanks! I put a lot of effort on the small envelopes and stuff 😊
The Cake Ballooney items are not funcional 😂 imagine just balloon sized necklaces, braces, headpieces etc. Photo would be so much easier..
Comment: What an amazing view of a lake. I would love to visit that park. I loved the garden stamps.
Response: 🎉 so glad you liked it!
The picture is not actually from a park. Finland has a lot of lakes. 9,4% of our country’s is lakes and 75% is forests! So the view on the postcard is very common everywhere here. I sometimes forget this kind of scenery is rare for other parts of the world. So happy we can share these things 😊
