Response: Thanks for remembering to rate and for adding a star!
Response: What are the odds of that happening? It must be a card you like also, I hope!
Thanks for rating and adding a heart!
Response: Sounds good, Dartha--price of stamps has gone up which I did not remember in time to stock up on Forever stamps in advance of the price hike. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart.
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for the added Heart!
Response: You are most welcome for the tag---I enjoyed making it as I used some TH materials that I had kind of forgotten to be using; I working to correct that!
Response: You are welcome---I'm happy that you enjoyed the postcard and my message. Thanks for rating and for a <3 as well!
Response: Well, I'm glad the snowy man and all cooled you down a bit. We could almost ALWAYS use something to cool us down a bit--6--8 month summers are so LONG! HOT! and MISERABLE, with humidity levels in the 80%--90%. That's one reason I'd move to St. Paul to be closer to my children and now potential for a grandchild, preferably before I'm 80!
:-) <3 <3 <3
Response: Thanks for rating and for adding a heart! They actually found the winter stormy weather interesting. She works from home as a legal consultant specializing in document review online. So at the moment she is working for the Jones Day Fir in Dallas where they used to live. Des Moine apparently hasn't many if any firms large enough to hire such consultants but she's put feelers out among the legal community just in case. But with Jones-Day, see can work online to review the documents since they reviewed them online when she went to their location. Dann's job seems to what he had hoped for so far--but it's only been barely 3 months. His commute HAS to be easier that any he's had in Houston and Dallas!
Response: Well, I think that is what we are going to do----we don't have to rush at all as even if they start getting pregnant as soon as they were married, it takes 9 months for the baby to arrive!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm happy that you like the quotation. It is hard to tell what to choose since we don't all know each other very well. I know what you mean about s-l-o-w reading now. I finished a "chic-lit" holiday book in no time, but I have to get back to the deeper mystery that I set aside for some holiday reading of all sorts--poems, children't books I cherish, and some short fiction along with the "chic-lit" book. I'm not certain what I'm going to next--serious non-fiction, classic British Victorian novel, or another contemporary mystery novel. HAPPY READING TO YOU! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are quite welcome--hope you'll enjoy adding this card to your collection. I do enjoy these postcard exchanges.
Response: You are most welcome--I'm happy that you liked the extras. I tried to make them match your profile! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and that the new year is off to a good start for you!
Response: Thank you for all your kind comments--I'm happy that you like the page; I always wonder if I'm staying true to the things you like best in a swap whether in actual life you'd still love it that much. Than for the heart and for remembering to rate my page!
Response: You are most welcome! I'm glad you like the cat notes--I thought you might based on your profile. Thanks for rating and for the heart as well!
Peggy
Response: You are more than welcome! I'm glad you like the little album; I had a great time making it; I've become quite fond of making them through a few swaps that have helped me learn how to do many things with them. Mostly, my ideas come from YouTube videos I've watched in order to make the other albums for other swaps.
May 2019 be a year of blessings for you and those 30 great-nieces and nephews! My two are so very special to me--like grandchildren after those first 5 years together one day every week, especially with Nate. Marissa and I didn't have that many years of bonding and not until she was older than when Nate began those days at 3 or 4 months. It did make a huge difference. But she is just as loved as he is!
Thanks for rating and for one of those special hearts!
Peggy
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you liked the card. Thanks for rating and for adding precious heart as well. Merry Christmas!
Response: Thanks so much for your rating with the added heart as well! Your patience is especially appreciated. Yes, the Dr has me on a 20 day round of antibiotics: 2 per day for 10 days and then 1 per day for another 10 days. I think that it just may have killed the infection----I'm sure hoping so. I take the last pill on the 25th. My kids are all here and enjoying being together. Being 6 yr apart Jenn and Paul weren't close as children, but now, as adults they are on the same "ground" so to speak. It's good to see that happening. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Response: You are most welcome--I still have a bit of reading to finish it because I've been knitting scarves for daughter and daughter-in-law for Christmas. Have a splendid Christmas and a blessed and wonderful new year! Thanks for remembering to rate and for the <3!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoy these regular reminders of some specially loved children's books that I discovered for the first time along with my daughter. We made our first trip to the library when she was about 18 months, and I will always cherish the first library book we ever read: "Good Morning, Farm." I was able to locate a much used and loved copy of it on Ebay as the most important library book for Jennifer and me! Years later, we found it in a Houston library for my son. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and wonderful New Year!
Response: Your items on Flickr are so gorgeous, I wonder if I can make anything that comes anywhere close to your creations. Thank you for your kind comments--I always learn from them which is one reason I do enjoy sending items to you! I know this year has been challenging for you, so I wish you a Very MERRY CHRISTMAS and pray God will bring you blessings galore in 2019! Thanks for rating and for the <3!
Response: You are most welcome! Thanks for remembering to rate and the the wonderful <3! I really liked that kitty on the pumpkin once I tried his there. Of course, anything with a kitty is FINE for me! Thanks also for joining the swap!
Response: Thanks for remembering to rate and for the so important heart! I am glad you enjoyed the back to school in vintage days--as I said I barely escaped attending a one room school--my friends on other side of the road did attend it. My cousin just about 6 months older than I, attending one and had ONLY Thanksgiving Day off, so I'd often go home with her from that day at my grandparents' home. Then we'd go together to school on Friday. Yes, I was delighted to have a chance to go to school! I loved it--could easily and happily been a professional student if only I could have found someone to foot the high cost of doing that! Have a blessed and joy-filled holiday season! Happy Swapping!
Response: You are welcome--I, too, was happy to find I was sending to you for this swap. I hope you are having fun in Cuba and points south of it. Take care--hoping hip will hold on until that wedding on March 23! I am so happy that my son found someone with whom to share life and a family. I cannot wait for that "family" part--I'll be 70 in April and still have no grandchildren. My peers have grands heading off to college and some have great-grands as well! Have a wonderful holiday season! How can that year have raced by so rapidly?
Response: Oh, my yes, they can be very destructive and at times vicious! Fortunately, I've never had to encounter one of the horror stories. The one we had on the deck at our previous house just stood up with the lights fully on inside and out as if it were watching us and not the opposite. He sure enjoyed cat chow! Our cat food budget probably went up by half when he was around as we had to keep it out for the two outside cats we had--they could not follow inside manners about marking territories. That I will NOT have in my house. Otherwise, I prefer inside cats as they live much longer and more safely. My best buddy ever, Thomas, was with me for 19 years! Happy Swapping!
Response: Aren't they strange little creatures? I got to watch three of them in the woods after dark but with enough flashlight to let me see them. It was an interesting creature. I hate that they really are pretty close to being road bumps in some areas of Texas. I suppose we'd have far too many if they had no life hazards to control population. I just hate to see them smushed on the highway. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are welcome--and thank you for rating and adding the precious <3! I do love fall and really miss it. My daughter is now moving to Des Moines, Iowa, and my son is in central Wisconsin. I may now have a reason to return to the midwest--in a CITY--few to find there except maybe Chicago, Minneapolis. A university town might be OK like Madison, WI or Iowa City, IA. This will take some thinking AND so convincing my husband to leave Houston where he has lived his whole life. I may have to push pretty hard!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm happy that you liked the ATC. Mixing media took me a while to get used to and to feel I did it well enough that I could swap with it. I love it, but still feel I have a huge amount to learn! Happy Swapping! Thanks for the <3!
Response: You are welcome, and I thank you for remembering to rate and for adding a <3 as well!
Response: Thanks for rating and for the <3! Happy swapping!
Response: I really like the idea--especially if we get to keep the wisdom we've built up with experience. I want that mostly for my mothering skills--that became so much easier as I cared for my great nephew, AKA my grandson. I found myself doing things that were so easy I can't see how I missed them. But one day a week and not the parent means working without the daily grind of little things and the ultra responsibility for raising the child. I can only hope that some of the things I did with him will remain a part of his moral fiber as he becomes a young man in less time than seems possible!
Response: Wonderful! I was hoping you'd like the post its. I FINALLY got one of my own postcards back on this swap it really hoped around the world and US before landing back at home. Hope all is good for you and happy swapping!
Response: Kathryn, I was pleased to finally be sending you a swap which hasn't happened in a while. Hope all is going well for you. I'm going to need left hip replaced and rod and pins removed, but I'm hoping it can be held off until after March 23 when my son is getting married in St. Louis---venue is mostly OUTSIDE! I'm going to need warm clothes--altho we could be lucky and have a spring day. We'll hope March comes in like a lion there so that it will be getting ready to go out like a lamb! :-)
Response: Thank you, Donetta--I'm glad you like my painting. I used to be able to do so many things with acrylics but it was a LONG time ago, but I think a little more practice will be able to get back to using the techniques I learned back in the 80s. I is mostly knowing how to load the brush. Acrylics dry so fast that you really haven't much time to "fix" something that didn't work properly. Thanks for the encouragement! I'll keep practicing!
Response: You are most welcome--hope you will enjoy it and add photos and journaling to make it uniquely yours! I stayed totally with yellow so I couldn't go wrong. If you don't like the other one, you might consider sending it back, if you'd like. I can use it for myself or for another swap someday. If you'd like to keep it, that's just fine as well. Thanks for rating!
Response: I'm amazed that the two sentences were enough for you to recognize the book. I did enjoy it and am reading another one from the same author, if I'm correctly remembering the book I used for that postcard. Hope you are having a good summer; it has been so hot and WET over most of the country except where they need it so much to fight the wildfires that seem much worse than normal. I am convinced of global warming! Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Kathryn. The paper is from a scrapbook page kit I have from ages ago--I'd lost track of it and accidentally happened upon it. I'm glad you like the ATC and the extras--I hope you can enjoy using them! Thanks for rating and for the wonderful heart! <3
Response: You are most welcome and I'm so glad you like the ATC. Everyone's tastes are a bit different so when I make an item that my partner likes, I am happy as well. Thanks for rating and for the wonderful <3!
Response: You are welcome---I really enjoy finding the postcards to use for these swaps. Thanks for rating and for the added heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I am so happy that you like the items I sent! I do love Eric Carle's illustrations---they are almost magical sometimes. Thanks for rating and for the heart as well!
Response: Great--glad you like the stamps--we can always use those!
Response: You are most welcome; glad you like it. Thanks for rating and for the heart and the extra one in your comments!
Response: You are most welcome! I've quite a number of the generic kinds of shells but very few of the starfish and sand dollars. I keep watching for more when in any kind of craft supply store. I'm glad they all made the journey relatively well. I was a bit concerned about that! Happy Swapping!
Response: You are welcome! I figured we all "gotta" have stamps or Swap-Bot is a goner! Hope you're having a great week and enjoying some reading!
Response: Thanks for your kind words, Barb! I work very hard and carefully, and a bit slow to get those quality creations, I love what I'm doing and that helps immensely, I think! Thanks for rating and adding the heart. It is much appreciated!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you liked it because what most of members of the group may not realize that I'm a retired English professor! I don't want to intimidate anyone with my responses, but it is also difficult to get them to sound like my students are writing the answers to the questions. Please let me know if you think I'm writing too much and it's overly academic/intimidating. Thanks for the lovely <3
Response: You are most welcome--my son loved this book and several others written by the same author. Hope you are having a nice weekend! Thanks also for remembering to rate and for adding a precious heart! <3
Response: Thank you for remembering to rate. I think I'm going to read the new one as well. I like his character, and she'll probably further develop his character in the next and (maybe future ones?).
Response: I am doing much better now except my back has become a much bigger problem---slight scoliosis and a slight twisting of the spine because of that. Now I know why my back hurts! But, as always, working on swaps and making my own creations to keep sometimes distracts me from the pain--better than a pain pill and no undesirable side effects or addiction fears! :-)
Response: You are welcome--glad you liked it. I've been trying to do that in my notes to partners as I often get one i really like and can't quite figure out what they did. Have you been wet and stormy there? The maps looked like you had been. Best wishes--Peggy
Response: You are welcome--hope you are getting some ratings for your creations. Just don't let your dashboard get to extended. Keep things on watch list and only add a swap when you've finished 1 or 2 and can be sure you'll be able to do it. That's my key to keeping high ratings. Happy Swapping!
Response: Thank you--I'm looking forward to reading the next book!
Response: You are welcome--I, too, love Eric Carle's stories and illustrations!
Thanks for rating and for the added <3!
Response: I am so glad you like it--everyone likes different kinds of art and style, so sometimes I really try hard to get something that matches what I find in profiles. I am doing much better--leg is just at the point of getting into the pool! That is good as the Aquatic Fitness Class just started in the community pool and our kiddos are coming for the day tomorrow! They are on summer vacation as of this afternoon but Mom still has one work day to put in.So we are going to see what the pool is like tomorrow!
Response: You are most welcome--I am happy to know that you liked the card. It is part of a set I ordered online.
Happy Swapping!
Response: You are welcome---for some reason I was feeling that these swaps are kind or "sterile" or boring just a post card and no sense of who sent it to me, so I added a bit to make it happy mail as well as sending the card on its way!d
Response: You are most welcome--I first made an ATC with a pocket for a swap that required a pocket and items to fill it up. I really liked making it and do one again now and then. It is really giving the ATC some extra space as without the pocket, I'd never get all of that on the ATC itself! Thanks for rating and for adding a nice heart!
Response: You are so welcome. I'm happy the long story explaining my design of the bookmark didn't bore you to tears! My mother was a reader, but with no library and VERY limited funds. she didn't have many. I did subscribe to Reader's Digest Condensed Books for a few year, but again, the stories were generally too adult for my 10 yr old mind. That was the age when my 5th grade teacher read to us after lunch time recess---going through the whole Little House series by L. Ingalls Wilder. I read them to both kids and loved them each time. Their experience in S. Dakota was not far from where our farm was. In fact, in here diary of Almonzo and her journey to their farm in Missouri (or Arkansas?), she writes of camping over night in our town (Belden) which she names along with the creek where they camped. It is not far from our rented farm! That was the best teacher in my life there. She wrote a really special message in my Autograph Book: she wrote, "I am expecting great things from you." That has lived in my brain all of my life--I thought of her as I finished a Master's Degree in Literature and as I completed all of my courses for a Ph. D. I passed one exam but never did finish the other exam and write the dissertation. My daughter was born (conveniently) between semesters and I continued finishing my courses, but they decided that she needed me as a parent more than I needed that degree hanging on my wall--a choice I would make again if I had to again. I taught at Purdue while working on my graduate courses and for 21 years at a community college, where I could focus on teaching without having to publish, which I'd probably have enjoyed, but it was teaching that I loved! Thanks for your kind rating with the heart added!
Response: You are most welcome--I hope you can find uses for all of them eventually. I got a bit carried away and just kept fussy cutting as I watched TV! Enjoy using them--feel free to send any that are not to your taste, on to someone whom you think would enjoy them. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are most welcome---I have started two others at least a year ago and have never gotten them back. It kind of ruins the sending if that continues, but I'm going to try this one more time and hope this one finds its way back to me!
Thanks for rating and for the added heart!
Response: You are most welcome, and I'm happy to know that you like it. I tried to make it so that you could add photos and journaling if you want to and make it an actual mini scrapbook, or it could just be a pretty book, like are journal pages. I'm glad you like the little extras--they were fun to pick out. Thanks for rating and for the many hearts!
Response: You are most welcome! I do wish I could visit and see your wonderful flowers! Maybe some day I'll get that chance! Our vintage/antique roses are blooming their hearts out! And my herb garden is growing so lush and aromatic! The plants clearly enjoy the cooler than usual spring and didn't mind the few very chilly days (20s and 30s F) that we had in January and February for only a couple days each time.
Response: You are most welcome, Pat. How're the shoulders doing? No more surgeries coming down the pike, I do hope. We've both had more than enough of those! Are you having some nice weather? We are still cooler than normal here, with another arctic front coming through tomorrow--my herb garden is loving the cooler weather and everything is going strong. Most of the plants we thought the cold in January may have destroyed are showing new shoots breaking through the soil from the roots. I told hubby to wait and not buy anything because I was sure everything would come back from roots because the ground does not freeze. I am thinking we'll not be able to start our aerobic water fitness class at beginning of May as we did last year because we keep having lows in the 50s and sometimes 40s over night.
Response: Thank you and I hope you had a fine Easter in spite of the weather you may have experienced. Thanks for rating and for the lovely <3!
Response: You are most welcome. I am glad you like and can use the papers. Never feel that you shouldn't send them on to the next swapper if you don't care for some of the papers. Everyone's styles are different! Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart!
Response: You are most welcome and I'm happy that the cards and postcards brought you happiness. One thing I really like is when my sending partner includes a quick note about her personal crafting and artistic interests; I think every swap needs a quick note included from the sender. For me it is a matter of common courtesy; because I spent most of my life teaching students how to right, writing one of those note is probably easier and faster than for others, but I just appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes with a note to your partner. We get to know each other through those little, simple notes to each other! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: I'm glad to know you received the postcard and thank you for remembering to rate and especially for adding a <3! I appreciate that immensely! Happy Swapping!
Response: And I would hug you right back! I am so happy to know how happy the paper bag project has made you! That's always what I'm hoping to create--a swap item that matches my "send-to" partner's likes and info from your profile. Thanks for rating and all the kind words along with the added <3! I often wish we could add multiple hearts or have ability to give hearts plus stars, or something like that. However, even then we'd feel unable to praise our treasure fully enough!
Happy Swapping!
Response: You are very welcome, and I thank you for remembering to rate and for adding a <3! I just learned the "bang technique" from another swap hosted by #123poggy123 for a swap she hosted on Tim Holtz Challenges---or maybe for her ATC Techniques and Challenges. She is the first partner I sent to here on the Bot back in 2012. She lives about 10 miles from the central Iowa town I lived in and where I went to high school! That partner for my first swap really made me feel quite at home here on Swap-Bot! She has become a dear friend who kindly jumped in to take care of my hosting for the
If we hadn't moved back in 2016, we'd have come home to a home totally destroyed by water in the house. I'd have lost my 104 yr old upright grand piano! I think God was taking care of us--our new home is less than a mile away but had no water damage at all! I could never repay her for all that she did to keep most of my swaps sent on time and contacted swap partners that would have to wait for my return. It's a small world sometimes here on the Bot! I hope the extras I chose will be useful for you in future swaps or for keep at home creations that need all of those!
Happy Swapping! PeggyO
Response: Thanks, Beth, for rating and giving a wonderful <3! I had fun making it and sorting out the goodies to send your way! I am FAR behind in my responses to ratings and apologize for that. I hope you had a blessed Valentine's Day!
Response: You are so welcome and thank YOU for rating and adding a treasured <3! The sled dies are one of my favorites because we all had a sled like those when on the farm and had plenty of snow and places that were great down-hill sights. We also had a creek going through the farm we rented and one year go plastic "skates" that attached to our shoes so we could skate on the frozen creek. However, they never really worked because they wouldn't stay on our shoes of boots. As much as I hated that tiny town of 367 pop., we did have some childhood experiences that I realized my kids could never have from a backyard in a Houston suburb. But, at least they did have access to children's literature that Jenn and I discovered simultaneously as I'd never had access to anything but the Dick and Jane readers and Little Golden Books, etc. We could sometimes get to pick one of those or a coloring book at the pharmacy after seeing the Dr.
If you have swap ideas for the group, feel free to host it or let me in on the idea and I'll get it up and going. I really don't have time for this and had no idea that the original founder would disappear without a word of information! I'm only continuing because I like the group and hate to see it disappear! Happy Swapping! Enjoy all of the 80+ temps and I'll head toward snow in the north!
Response: I am very pleased to know you like the BTC--I enjoyed making it immensely and also couldn't decide which side I liked best! Thanks for rating and the added <3!
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for swapping and for the <3! I am very happy to know that you like the card I made. I love working with pages from old books and magazines. I am blessed with several "Etude" magazines from the 1920's and 1930's that were in my mother's things--they had to have been bought by her sisters as she wasn't born until 1924. They are a treasure trove of ads, articles about teaching piano and orchestras and bands for young children and on through high school and college levels. I've had much fun using them just for the old music pages. Most of the magazines are in excellent condition. They also had many sheet music pages from the 20's and 30's. I am happy you liked the card!
Response: You are more than welcome--I'm glad to have chosen an illustration you enjoy. One always wonders if it will match what's in my partner's profile! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I am always so happy when my send to partner appreciates the swap item I've made. Happy Spring--It has to come sometime!!
Response: I am so happy that you like the triptych ATC--it was my first also, but I really had fun making it. I hope you'll host another one soon!
Response: I am so happy that you like it! I had a great time creating it and choosing the little extras just for you!
Response: Thanks and I enjoyed getting to send to you for the first time in quite a while!
Thanks for rating and adding a <3!
Response: Thanks, Jackie---I was especially fond of the die cuts. Glad you liked it!
Response: You are most welcome. Thanks for rating so I know the card got to your mailbox! Happy New Year!
Response: You are most welcome! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome and I, too, hope we can swap again in coming months. I'm pretty timid about drawing by hand but need to make myself try and learn as I go! I'm glad you can use the papers! Thanks for rating and for the added heart!
Response: You are welcome! Did the ice cream stand up to the Texan claims that there is none like it? It is great, but Ben and Jerry's isn't bad . . . but I love stopping for a huge $1 taste when we go to the nearby Antique Rose Emporium.
Response: You are most welcome! Don't worry about adding more to yours; I just had the supplies so had fun adding more items. I bought a "boat-load" of TH supplies from a lady who did a couple classes using Tim's techniques. She went out and bought all she could find, decorated one of his little storage case and then never used any of it except to finish the items from the classes. She sold all of that for $25! Then later she called and offered all of the Christmas TH supplies again for $25. So, I have many more things than I would ordinarily have, allowing me to add more than ordinarily possible for me. Have a Merry Christmas--AND definitely coffee after Christmas.
Response: You are welcome--have you ever gotten one of the cards you started come back to you? Mine have been "going" for nearly a year and never have gotten back to me. Patience is a virtue, I guess.
Response: You are most welcome. I'm glad I chose something the kitties will enjoy. Out two are pretty much too lazy to do much playing these days. Thanks for rating!
Response: You are welcome. Have a Merry Christmas and a good 2018!
Response: You are most welcome. Hope the kitties like the toys. Our two are pretty much satisfied with good foo and good spots for sleeping. I hope you'll enjoy the items I sent when you open them. I am very tempted to just unwrap the little packages right now! So far I've resisted that temptation. Thanks for remembering to rate. Have a great holiday season and a good new year--this one has flown by!
Response: You are most welcome--it's good to hear from you again. Hope you're enjoying the holiday season. Amazingly, we awoke to about one inch of snow blanketing our cars and all our garden plants! It was beautiful--listening to carols yesterday as I made last of my Christmas cards, on Pandora I noticed that "White Christmas" came along very often---must have sensed that I would like a little snowy surprise. I do miss snow and the beauty of fall. Have a Merry Christmas!
Response: You are very welcome--I had so much fun working on that project---I didn't want it to be finished! I am thinking of hosting a swap for an altered book cover through Tim Holtz Challenges after the holidays. Are you in that group? I can send an invite if you're interested and not already in the group.
Response: You are very welcome. I'm pleased to have your feedback about composition, etc. as I have no art training at all and wonder sometimes if I'm committing some faux pas in the art world! I'm thinking of taking some continuing ed classes through the Continuing Education part of a nearby community College.
Response: You are most welcome. Thanks for remembering to rate!
Response: You are most welcome. Thank you for remembering to rate and for the heart as well.
Response: You are most welcome---it's the vintage style I like best as well! Thanks for rating ad for the <3!
Response: A panda would be great for sure, but it's a female lion I long to touch with love and admiration of their magnificent bodies and their hunting skills. As a child, I watched the movie "Born Free" and will never forget the way they eventually succeeded in setting Elsa free. That's the reason for wanting to touch a female--an Elsa!
Response: I'm glad you've enjoyed these card swaps. They let me remember some of my favorite authors and books even without any little ones to share them with! I'm currently reading a biography of Margaret Wise Brown. The title, so aptly, is "In the Great Green Room." Her life is very interesting!
Response: I'm glad to know you also enjoy Carle. In Pennsylvania (I think) a Carle Museum has been created---how I'd like to visit that! Thanks for the added heart!
Response: I'm so happy that you liked the turkey---he needed some enhancing and hoped I didn't damage rather than enhance. Thanks for remembering to rate and for the <3!
Response: You are more than welcome--I enjoyed making the journal page. The extras are just that--hope you rated for quality of the journal page and not the extras. I don't always send extras except if I think something I have would be just right for you based on your profile.
Response: You are so very welcome. I'm glad I was lead by God to choose a verse that was just right for you at this time. Actually, most often, I find that just about any verse can be just right for me if I think deeply enough about it--which one tends not to do even though we want to do that! How great is our God for caring so deeply for each one of us? I'm happy you will be able to use the extras.
Blessings, PeggyO
Response: You are welcome! I wish you are wonderful holiday as well. I like to think about the "wonders" of the Christmas gift of Christ--but so often get so busy that I forget to focus on the wonders of the gift that we celebrate.
May God bless you this holiday,
PeggyO
Response: You are so welcome. Yes, I do long to see the real leaves actually on the trees and on the ground (making hard work of raking them! But now I play with fall beauty in my art and crafts and experience it vicariously. Have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: You are welcome! I like doing that with these alphabet swaps. I hunt through all of my cards, looking for one to match each letter before I even sign up. That way I have a very easy swap if necessary, or if I have time, I go through them again trying to find an unlikely card that can be made to work! That's the fun--for me!
Response: You are most welcome--I really like using unexpected colors for Christmas cards I send each year. It keeps them more interesting than the expected red and green. WOW! Those pumpkins were a perfect choice and I didn't even know you needed one! That is definitely serendipity!
Response: We have one cat some students and I were able to catch over and over o July 5--she'd just run under another car every time we got her out from under another one. She finally went under a SUV which gave the student more space to get a good hold on her, spitting and hissing for all she was worth---just as my hubby arrived with a cat carrier. He planned to take her to the community shelter since we had just adopted a kitten a few months before. However, it was Monday, July 5, and the shelter was closed. I decided that meant God intended for us to be her people, and now hubby loves her and could never part with her! She still needs a chip so I will see if vet can do it the next time she is due for a check up.
Response: You are most welcome! I am so happy that you liked the PC that much.! I have to experience autumn vicariously here on the Bot since Houston really doesn't have fall. The leaves just turn brown and fall off the trees in DECEMBER! The poetry is because I was an English professor so I look for it to use whenever possible. I didn't think about the postage stamp, but it does work with everything else! Have a happy, blessed Thanksgiving!
Response: You are most welcome! You REALLY do like that story, don't you? Oddly enough, it never appealed to me. I never liked fairy tales and fantasy at all in our reading books at school. My kids liked the story as a read aloud to them. My son and I even explored all of his other books. He loved them but I just tried to sound liked I loved them! :-D Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving--Peggy
Response: Well, I don't work very fast as I try to make them as perfectly as possible just as I do for things I create for swapping. When my kids were small, I always finished all the shopping by Dec. 1, so we could spend Dec. having special Christmas fun all month long.
Response: You are most welcome! I thought she was a little cutie and was a change from the easy, boring typical alphabet swaps. I can't always be that creative---just depends on the cards I have---filling a large drawer and one shelf beside the drawer. So, if I have time I try to look for something more than the obvious. I make certain I have something already to go for every letter of alphabet before I join the swap, but if some are rather trite, I look for something more creative IF I can find one. Have a happy holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for the <3! Yes, we were amazingly spared ANY high water ever during the many days of rain. Yet, less than a mile away, our old house had whole first floor destroyed! I cannot imagine coming home to that kind of damage. God was guiding us about moving last summer as hard a job as that was.
Response: You are welcome! Thanks for your kind words about the ATC. I love that spritzing technique and signed up for three swaps using it and just made on large piece and then cut out the ATC sizes. Thanks for rating and for the <3!
Response: You are welcome, and thanks for your compliments on the background. I made the backgrounds all on one sheet of paper and then cut out the ATC size pieces for all 3 swaps using this technique. I like using the homemade cards, but don't always have time. I have more of those leaves than I know what to do with! I got them at a dollar store last year to use in decorations for our Nov. Celebration: a combination of House warming, Les's 70th birthday, and our 25th anniversary! Thanks for your rating!
Response: Thanks, Jackie--I really enjoyed working with this technique and, if I remember correctly, I used Oxide Inks which give much more color. I was really happy with the backgrounds I got. I must remember these techniques more often instead of hunting for the paper that will work. Have a good week! (How goes the moving so far?)
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy you liked it. Yes, I am following our Astros--the game last night ended well for us, but those two extra innings were nerve wracking! thanks for rating and even adding a heart!
Response: You are most welcome. I had a good time getting it all put together. Thank you for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome--those pumpkins were a challenge, but if I don't keep trying, I'll never get really good at it. I'm glad you can use the little extras; I chose them thinking they'd be useful in any fall or Thanksgiving project. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are most welcome--I would sure love to see all of the creatures of the northern water ways in you area (or others) in their real habitat and living as they normally do rather than in zoos! I am beginning to half mixed feelings about zoos. Yes, they are great ways to show animal lovers, like me, animals I may never see. This is why I took my kids to the Houston Zoo many times and then read about the animals in books we could find at the library and in National Geographic sets of 1 beautiful book every quarter. Between the two of them we had a good collection and with Nat. Geo quality of info and beautiful photos! but the other part of me says that taking them out of their environment and into a "pretend environment" is a deep violation of the animals' dignity and of its original ecosystem. It's a "Catch 22," situation I suppose. With a city not more than 100 miles away, I'd love living where you do!
Response: You are welcome--and thanks for remembering to rate. I hope I chose something just right for you! The stickers I thought you should use right now! Have fun---not opening the package(s) until Christmas is not going to be easy! Happy Holidays!
Response: You are most welcome; I'm happy you liked the card! The swap was started several years ago by a young woman in Holland who was just too busy to keep hosting--she did one swap every WEEK! I was not going to do that so switched to extra partners but same number of cards over the whole of the month. Maybe she just had many that were attached to her as host and they followed her elsewhere. Otherwise, I cannot figure it out.
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for remembering to rate. Our neighborhood did as well, but just less than a mile from us and on the street we lived on for 23 yrs was flooded at least the first floor. That house was very special and in 23 years is becomes a part of you.
Response: You are welcome--thanks for remembering to rate.
Response: You are welcome and thanks for rating!
Response: I am so happy to know you liked the JP---this is only the 2nd one I've done and had a hard time getting started but once I knew what I wanted to do, I was on a roll!
Thanks for rating and adding a heart!
Response: Not sure what "to u" means, but thanks for rating and for adding the heart at well! Glad to know that a letter finally got through to you! The USPS is quite unpredictable! Have a good week!
Response: You are welcome! Thanks for remembering to rate!
Response: You are quite welcome and I'm glad you like it, I was experimenting with some techniques and with where to place the tiny canvas and hoped it all worked out well. I still always wonder if what I made is the high quality I strive for with every swap. I don't create items like this quickly and put a good deal of "thinking and planning" in my head for a few days before tackling the project.
Thanks for rating! And for adding a heart as well!
Response: I am so happy that you liked it. I enjoyed making it. Hope your day is a nice one! Thanks for rating--and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome---How we came through Harvey virtually untouched by high water and strong winds, I will never know. I ache for our friends and neighbors on our street. Have a good week!
Response: Thanks for remembering to rate this swap; as you know, Jackie (123poggy123) angeled this when we were evacuated to daughter's home in the Dallas area. I hadn't access to the supplies and had constant trouble trying to get into Swap-Bot for some reason.
Response: You are most welcome!
Response: I am glad I eventually found this postcard in a packet of alpha cards, most done with this kind of whimsy' They will be fun to use---maybe for the same alpha series next year. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: Isn't it gorgeous---I was hoping I would find a way to use it as I've had it for a while. I was unsuccessfully hunting for a V card. I turned to the packet of oriental art photos desperate to find something beginning with V and almost passed it up! Thanks for rating and for a heart!
Response: I had such fun once I got going with the basic box design which I found on YouTube. As I got into the flip pages (some of those ideas also from YouTube, I really had fun---so much fun that I ended up with too much inside the 1/2 inch spine. I want to make one for myself when time allows.
I would be very open to some private swaps for certain. Thanks for your rating and the heart!
Response: Thank you SO much for working with Jackie's picking up swaps to finish while we were evacuated in Dallas with our daughter and hubby. We were VERY lucky to have absolutely NO WATER in our house. If we had not moved last Sept., we'd have come home to a devastated home--all of first floor and maybe higher. My 104 yrs old piano would have been ruined beyond repairing it. I can't imagine how we could be doing what that would require---my RA is in a definite flare and at 71 my hubby would be doing more that he should and refusing to stop until he dropped! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for remembering to rate. I am also glad to know you liked the card from your own state. Happy Swapping!
Response: Isn't that 4 months a bit startling! I've usually had my Christmas cards finished and waiting for my letter to be added by the first of September. I must get started on a couple designs to see which one I want to use in terms of both pretty and relative easy to create. Some samples from Pinterest are gorgeous, but measuring, cutting, and assembly make them too time-consuming to make 20-25 cards.I have to get to work! Thanks for rating and adding a heart!
Response: I love that card which comes from packets of postcards at Half Price Books. Ours is very close which is both good and bad! :-)
Response: You are most welcome. Thanks for remembering to rate!
Response: I am so glad to know you liked the ATC. I remember those swimming caps that really did not keep out the water. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome---thanks for rating and adding a heart as well! I found the hot air balloons card at a Half Priced Books that is very short drive from our house. I am glad you liked it!
Response: Yes, based on the photo I'd say you are right about "cozy close quarters." Thanks for rating and for the heart you added!
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for rating and for the heart. With Z, I can think of words that start with a Z but the problem is finding a postcard for my ideas. I've enjoyed this series immensely; maybe she will do it again next year. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I am glad you liked the armadillo as the Texas speed bumps. They do have a penchant getting on the roads and moving too slowly get get across in time to avoid vehicles!
Response: You are welcome and thanks for rating and for the heart. I am so happy that you liked the postcard; I had fun making it!
Response: You are welcome! I tried as much as possible to match cards to your profile. I am happy to know that I succeeded! Happy swapping!
Response: You are most welcome AND thanks for your considering me as "pretty rad"!
Response: You are most welcomme--I had fun making the ATC. Thanks for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are quite welcome--that tag was hard to give away! LOL I think sometimes I should make two items at a time just to display some of my own work in my art room! But then I'd run out of room to pot anything in no time. Thanks for rating and giving it a heart as well. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are very welcome. I love working with alcohol inks because you never know quite what the colors will do. I usually make more background than needed for an ATC because I'll have background for another ATC or I can decide which part of the space I want to use for the card since it is often prettier in some areas that others. I'm really liking the new Oxide ink--the colors are so vibrant! Thanks for rating and for the generous heart!
Response: You are most welcome; I'm happy you liked it. Isn't that must fantastic? It is from a music magazine my mother's sisters must have bought given the dates in the late 1920's to 1930's. She was born in 1924, the youngest of 11--when her mother was 48! I have several of the magazines, named "Etude," that were in my mother's things, but I knew about them and sometimes worked on pieces in them when taking piano lessons. She also had a huge hardback book of songs by Steven Foster, but I have no idea what became of it. I also have sheet music from the 1930's and from WW 2 that were definitely hers. I share them often as I have far more than I can ever use and doubt that neither my son nor daughter will want them; she already has a couple of the magazines. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Bev. I had fun working on it but was feeling uncertain about the oxides as it is my first time working with them for a "real" project. I'm doing well for the time being--some back procedures should soon be coming and a return to the hip surgeon for imaging to figure out why I've having chronic pain that feels like nerves in the pelvic area which my pain management Dr says is hip related. I'm not looking forward to doing that as I envision the word "surgery" coming up as the way to fix it. Oh, well, won't worry about it until it comes up.Other options may be available and it might resolve itself in a bit more time.
I love the items you are posting to Flickr; I must start putting my new works up there with every swap so everyone can see the progression of my work. Happy swapping--thanks for the precious heart!
Response: Pretty funny! A little smile at such things can go a long way to distracting us from problems and chronic pain, etc. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: Thank you for remembering to rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: Yes, it is frustrating but as long as we have 3 or 4, I'll keep it going. I am also playing with some ATCs, etc. which may get more interest. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome. Thanks for the rating and for adding the heart!
Response: I'm glad it was a good card for your collection. I will most likely try posting an ATC soon---during July and August. Thanks for rating and for joining the swap.
Response: I'm glad you liked it--I love them and share them rarely even though I think I could get the booklet of them again at Dover Publishing. Happy 4th of July
Response: You are welcome and I hope you like them. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are most welcome--it is amazing how many of us may have 2 or 3 books all going at the same time. Or, as you say, you have to chose just ONE to start reading. Thanks for rating and for a heart as well!
Response: You are quite welcome--I am glad you liked the card. I do LOVE New York City--but I've mostly seen Manhattan which would never be an option for my living there. I just like the way SO many people manage to get around the city by using the subway. I've been amazed how easily my daughter and I could get nearly everywhere we've gone via the subway. The best time was when we had a pretty long walk from the subway to the most amazing Dim Sum lunch. We were in one of the top 5 restaurants in the city . . . not best of Chinese but best of any 5 restaurants in the city. We knew why by the time we finished our lunch! It was worth the long, cold walks to get to and from the restaurant and the subway!
Response: You are most welcome, Bev! I thought it would probably survive the mail but knew it might not have done so! You and I have much in common in our need for rehab and recovery! Hope you are ready by the time you must get back to work. Life is full of challenges; I just wish all those problems could be evenly distributed to everyone, thus reducing each person's problems! Not gonna happen though, so we just have to keep facing our own situations and recovering even when it feels more that possible.
Response: You are more than welcome! I do love working on ATCs, sometimes making 2 or 3 attempts before hitting on just the right design and hope my partner enjoys it. Thanks for rating and for the positive comments that help me know what's working in each ATC. Thanks especially for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome---it seemed a good match for your profile. The book and movie titles are "Love Story." It is a rather trite/sappy tear-jerking story of a young couple in love and facing the reality that Jennifer is dying of cancer and their love will be gone. At one point when my Daughter was 4, her Sunday School class had 4 Jennifer's--one had the same birth date: month, day, year! When I took her to her 2 week check up, I was appalled to find that nearly every girl patient called by nurses was a Jennifer. She too goes by Jenn as an adult, but has never been a Jenny because we didn't want that name. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: I am so happy that you liked the ATC--I struggled for quite a while before it began coming together for me. I've had the sewing machine buttons (2 or 3) quite a while waiting for just the right project to use one. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are quite welcome--thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: No problem--that's happened to me a few times also. I try to keep a neat computer desk and work-space but just cannot eliminate stacks for various purposes! Thanks for rating and for the nice heart!
Response: You are welcome and I'm glad you see in it what I was trying to communicate through items I used on the card. I love making those because you can "color" outside the "lines"! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are welcome---I'm happy you liked it! Thanks for rating and for adding the heart!
Response: You are so welcome! I hated that frantic end-of-semester panic and the frantic pleas for "what can I do to make a better grade?" It is too late now--classes have ended! Where were you throughout the semester! I don't miss that nor the endless piles of essays to grade now that I'm retired! The state has made so many mandates here in Texas about student completion rates. Two year college students in a community college should complete in 2 years and why aren't they? No funding or drastic cuts in funding are based on that. So from chats with colleagues still working, I understand that the English Dept. was mandated to give higher grades and to eliminate the Comp I research paper since that is when students start dropping the class. So, how are they going to write the research papers for history, gov't, psych, sociology papers? Or do they have to drop their research papers as well! Between our K-12 scary issues and the mandates requiring higher grades in Higher Educ institutions and public universities, how will college degrees mean anything?
Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are more than welcome! I'm enjoying this series and wish we could get more participants! Thanks for rating and for the added hearts!
Response: You are most welcome---thanks for rating and for adding a heart! I always wonder whether the mail took it successively to my partner or not.!
Response: You are quite welcome for everything. I was happy to discover I had a few little bits and pieces I could part with from the Sketchbook collection and share with you. The postage was calculated from weighing the item at home and using the USPS calculate postage site. I never want to send with too little postage, so I sometimes had a bit more just to be certain. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Thanks for ratings and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I am so happy that you like what I chose. The old magazines are my favorite, I think. My mother's family was very interested in reading and music, I suspect, based on the old books I have--some hymnals from the 1800s. Those are on the music rack of my piano, made in 1913. My parents paid $35 for it---got it from an older farm couple whose kids were grown and didn't want it just taking up space. That was stretching the budget back then, but they wanted me to have the education that wasn't all that great in our little school---There were 6 of us in kindergarten, but in 7th grade we were only 3 students!
Response: You are welcome--I also like that illustration. She is so exuberant and full of life. Somehow that part of us is taken away by our educational system. I think we should be very AFRAID about the state of schools in the US. But that's another topic for another time! Happy Swapping!
Response: You are most welcome! The envelope was sent to me in a swap for another group and I was just waiting for the swap to come along that seemed just right for it. I really liked it and should get out my large box or used stamps and make some for myself. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are most welcome! I am happy you like the card I chose. I could write forever about my furry friends that have blessed my life! Our new house is so beautiful, and we are getting some pretty gardens growing now, but we only have baby oak trees. So I miss the squirrels and waking up to the whistling of the cardinals, songs of the mockingbird, and even the sharp squawking of the gorgeous blue jays! We've already started tree stakes on the 2 baby oaks trees we have in front yard, and we have 2 good sized crepe myrtles in the back garden beds that done by a landscaper with rock walls around all of them and around front garden bed landscaped by builder or the community association. But it will be a while before the birds and squirrels find us!
Response: You are more than welcome---I'm happy that you like them. I can send a few more stamps if you'd like. Let me know.!
Response: You are most welcome. I was lucky enough to attend a weekend of Tim Holtz classes in the Dallas area in 2012. That was a wonderful experience that taught me many techniques and made me less timid about using his products. He was such a good teacher and very personable and interesting. He was very approachable and I even have picture of me with him. He was so willing to talk to everyone and move around the tables as we worked on making an item using the skill he had just demonstrated and explained. And he left use extra supplies for every project. They were EXTREMELY generous about that. Hope you will join the T. Holtz Challenges. I'm on my own after working with the original owners who just left the group to me and went on to focus on something else, but I'm hoping to keep it going and build up with more swaps as I'm feeling better.
Response: Thank you for your kind words about my art---I don't really know anything about art but I sure do love making ATCs, cards, postcards, tags, etc. I will send you a PM when I have the time to tell you this stupid broken hip stuff. I am recovering but am also angry and depressed about the whole thing and am not recovering in that realm very fast. :-( Thanks for the kind heart!
Response: You are very welcome! I didn't even know if they were printed anywhere except USA. It is interesting to see the cultural differences in children's literature through these postcards. Thank you for rating!
Response: You are quite welcome-I haven't been back to Lafayette since my son was about 18 months old; he just turned 36 last January! I don't think Bruno's was around when we were there. We started in Fall 1968 and left in 1977 for my now ex's first job with his PhD in nuclear physics. I'm retired English professor, so it's easy to see that we were just not well matched---stuck in there for 20 years but had to come up for air by then. Hope you are beginning to see some evidence of spring by now! But I remember crocus coming up through the snow! Thanks for rating and especially for adding a heart!
Response: What fun to have the advent calendar! I've seen it for sale at his museum online store, but my kids are 36 and 42. Thus, I don't have use for it and our "grands" aren't here enough in December for us to use it. I suspect I will need glasses for reading (and computer?) because I still have astigmatism which cannot be corrected. I've worn them since I was in first grade, so they just feel like a normal part of me! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: Yes, it would make a great film! I'm reading "All the Light We Cannot See" about a young, blind French girl and a young German man in Hitler's Youth and wondering what he is doing there as he sees some horrible things. Meanwhile, I'm also working on a short novel, "A Pocket Full of Shells" about a young couple and baby during the Irish potato famine. Maybe the next book I choose should be more upbeat and with a brighter view of life, huh? ;-) Thanks for rating!
Response: You are very welcome. I think I used ultra thick embossing powder, or I embossed it twice by using a stamping tool that keeps cling stamps in place so you can stamp as many times as you need to get a good result. So I do regular embossing and then stamps again with the same ink and emboss that again. I'm sure that's what I did. Thanks for rating and for the special added heart!
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for remembering to rate for the swap. Happy Swapping!
Response: Your kindness is humbling as I just love making such things--I have a general sense of what I want and start to create that which then leads to new additions and details I can use. Sometimes I just browse through my ephemera and "junque" drawers and get a brand new inspiration. I thoroughly enjoyed making the altered CD. So happy that you liked it! Thanks for rating and for the heart as well!
Response: I am so happy that you are happy with the card. I've not read the books but have heard enough about them to know a bit, a very small bit< about them. I found "tons" of photos online and had more than was needed which made a challenge to decide which to use and which to leave behind. Yes, I checked your profile--I prefer to do that if time allows between assigning partners and send date; it just makes the swap more fun for me and my recipient! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: I'm trying to figure that out, too. Since it;s not my group, I cannot post announcements and reminders on my own. I send to the founder who sometimes sends something out and sometimes does nothing. That for rating and adding a heart, too!
Response: Thank you--I'm looking forward to getting it back eventually! thanks for rating and especially for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I try to send something that is profile based if I have it to send, I have enough paper in my art room to print a giant dictionary! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome. I am glad that you are able to school at home. I don't like what public school did to my two children, and I don't like what I see it doing to our Nathaniel. He is bored I'm certain and coping with a rigid discipline system of a color for each day depending on one's behavior--green=good,yellow=a little bad, red=not a good situation, and there are more colors but don't remember what they stand for. It is just such a rigid method and his parents were being just as rigid about it, He was terrified to go to school because of the color he might get and the grades he have on a test. My kids knew I didn't care what grade they got, just whether they now knew how to do the math, the vocabulary, grammar, etc. Enjoy this golden gift you and your kids have been granted!
Response: You are most welcome--I am having cataract surgery for first I next Thursday, Feb. 26. The second one is early in March. Even tho they are very simple surgery, I am just not looking forward to them. When both are finished, it will probably be a good thing--maybe I wont' even need glasses. Have a happy Valentines day!
Response: You are more than welcome, Paula. I am happy that you like them and the holiday extras. I feared you might have all your holiday supplies put up until next year, but because I got tons of T Holtz supplies from a friend who virtually gave them away---she did so twice. She had forgotten the Christmas stash she had. So I am happy to share that bonanza of everything Tim!
take care and may the new year bring you only good things. My year ended on a pretty rotten note. I had really looked forward to fixing holiday dinner and having Nate and Rissa for Christmas. They will be with their mom's family next year, so they will be 8 and 10 before we have the holiday with them. We'll just have lots of fun together through the year instead.
Response: You are most welcome. I have no idea what they are supposed to look like either, Pat. I wonder why the envelope was so fragile and surprised that some postal worker cared enough to put it all back together into the body bag!
Response: Thank you--this seems to be a fun process and cannot wait to get my original card back to where is has journeyed!
Response: You are most welcome! I hope you enjoy the ATC, Thanks for rating AND for the added heart!
Response: You are most welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I truly enjoyed making it and hope we do another one later in this group
Response: I am sorry--I was afraid the items on the front might fall off without it. I'll try to remember if I am your partner again. Thanks for rating and a precious heart!
Response: You are most welcome--have a blessed new year!
Response: Thank you for remembering to rate for this swap!
Response: Thank you for rating--we had a very nice little gathering which I enjoyed immensely. Now to get those decorations, all autumn based, put away and get Christmas things out and ornaments on tree, Les has it put together and lights are one it---it's always even prettier each year as we decorate it! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I do cherish Dick and Jane even though all my relatives say i was reading from the Bible and newspapers by the time I was 5. But the town really had no books, so I guess I just liked the feel of a book in my hands! That reading series is had to find as well except for reprints and the postcards and reproductions/reprinting of a few. The "real things"" are in the antique dealers but at a premium price. I am not fond enough of them to spend $50-$100 and up for one volume!
Response: Thanks for remembering to rate for this swap. This was an interesting swap, my first one by email. Enjoy the week!
Response: You are quite welcome. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are ore than welcome!! I'm glad you like them. Have a blessed week!
Response: You are very welcome. I hope you liked them and will enjoy using them!
Response: You are most welcome. I am happy that you like it. It is made from the front of a note card from a small set of various pictures of home library settings. That one is my favorite. Have a blessed week.
Response: You are most welcome, Paula! I have a fried who thought she just LOVED working with Tim's materials and style after taking a class in using his techniques. She went out and bought nearly everything with his name on it. Then she never did a single thing with them and wanted to get them out of storage space she needed, so she sold me so much stuff I couldn't believe it. So I have some things that I will probably never get used for years! So i don't mind sharing a bit extra with my partner. Don't feel bad about it AT ALL! I just had fun giving to someone--I love doing that more than getting things for myself. It is just so much fun to surprise someone with something that lights up their day! Enjoy the extras and make something amazing with them as soon as you have a chance! Thanks for rating and for the lovely heart!
Response: You are very welcome. Sorry to be so far behind in my responses. This is just such a chaotic time as the new house is coming together much faster than we anticipated. Thanks for adding a precious heart!
Response: Thank YOU for your patience! I love making ATCs but each one takes a long while to come together in my mind and then to get that transferred onto the card--hoping I have the supplies I will need to create what I have in mind. I love this color combination and had fun with it for sure! Glad you liked the extras. You deserved them in return for you kind patience! Blessings--PeggyO
Response: You are more than welcome! I really enjoy these easy but fun swaps. Thanks for rating and for the heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome! Thank you for rating and for that happy <3 as well! I love the minis also and want to find more and more ways to use them. I'm so glad you liked the envies!
Response: You are most welcome---I love the illustrations from that children's books author. I was really stumped for a bit to find a purchased postcard for the G, and then remembered to check there instead of my other stash of new postcards. Have a great week!
Response: You are welcome---they are from a collection of frog illustrations from Victorian and early 20th century children's lit illustrators. I've not heard of any of the stories, but sometime I'd like to see if I can find some of the stories somewhere. Hope you have a good week!
Response: Oh, you are most welcome! What you received was attempt #8, so the technique certainly took a bit of practice for me, but, as I think I said, I'm contemplating using the technique with either a snow covered country church or a row of evergreen trees. But it may be too time intensive and reserved for just a few cards. Yes, I cannot believe where my education has taken me--I keep thinking the new house is all some kind of dream! Our house of 23 years was more than I dreamed possible as well and, OH, leaving behind that gigantic oak tree in front yard with two swings hanging from it for two kiddos I love. I loved that house and only made myself go because I have no business trying to keep up 3000 sq. ft. even if we were using all but one room regularly. Mainly, I knew we needed to get into a one-story house at our ages. My new knees make it less problematic, but someday that, too, might give out to hips or spine.
Thanks for the Happy <3!
Response: I am glad you like the mouse trap--getting two made stretched me a bit but got it finished. Actually, I had planned on making one for my daughter using the design for the first one as she pleaded for one just like it when I sent her a photo of it. We do need to get kids to the torts but they are gone on a 5000 mile road trip---mostly with just Mom!
Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Pat. I was a bit uncertain about the design and hope a strong design is something good! Thanks for rating and the lovely heart!
Response: You are quite welcome---interesting coincidence about both of us sending the dragonfly card. I loved it and would be curious to see how the watercolor version compared. Thanks for rating AND for addign a heart!
Response: You are most welcome---thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well! I appreciate both immensely. Have a great July 4 weekend!
Response: Thanks---everything has gone quite well. We are settled in and I have some of the basics of art room set up so I can function--some stuff remains in boxes in case I really need them, but I'm not up to unpacking, never using, to pack again, and then unpack again. Thanks for rating and for the added heart! Thanks, <3<3<3<3
Response: You are most welcome! I am happy that you like the bookmark so much! I had a great time figuring out what to do with it, and now I cannot recall the method I used for the background. I must see if I took a photo of it, I usually do, but was rushing just before the move to get everything sent on time!. Thanks for you kind rating and the MANY hearts you want to add. Hope all is well with you!
Response: Yes, we do have much in common! Maybe we should have a try at being pen pals--with no set times for writing, just the freedom to sent a quick postcard or note card, or when we feel the urge to do so, write a long letter. Want to give it a try:
Thanks for the rating and for the <3 as well!
Response: Thanks for rating and for the <3 as well! I do love tulips and miss them here. We can get them to grow by keeping bulgs in frig for several months and then planting them early in January. But they won't naturalize and come up in future seasons. You have to plant every year if you want to have them.
Response: TJ--I am happy that you like the ATC--for a while I really had a hard time coming up with a plan or layout for the ATC and then, suddenly, it came together for me.
I think the kids have karote or baseball after school on Tuesdays, but I will find out. We SOLD the house--well, we have accepted a very good offer and all looks as though it is coming together fine. We found the Avenues at Tuscan Lakes apartments that will do short term leased--pricey, but hadn't found any others that did less than 6 months. We will be out of house in 4-6 weeks---YIKES, lots of packing an tossing, etc. to be done! Not doing many swaps for a while other than ones I host!
Have a good weekend when it gets here!
Response: Thanks so much for your prayers and for rating and even adding a lovely heart. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Response: You are welcome! I hope the paper choices were OK for your tastes. Thanks for rating and for a specially added heart!
Response: No problem--I'm running behind in nearly all parts of my life! Thanks fo rating and for a heart as well!
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the postcard. I am truly a German Shepherd lover since childhood. As you say, they are so loyal and gentle and loving unless they sense danger./she's the dog whose ashes are still in far back corner of my art room closet. But the miniature Schnauzer has been fun..., as you say, FULL of LOTS of energy! Thanks for rating and the heart as well!
Response: It must have been the zip code that got it to you---sorry about that error! Do read Go Set a Watchman." I really enjoyed it and don't think Atticus is bigoted; rather he is a wise realist. He knows what he has to do in order to understand the "enemy" in order to figure how to defeat them. Maybe pragmatic would describe him as well.
Thanks for rating and for adding a lovely heart.
Response: You are so very welcome. I loved it when I finally thought that the inchie didn't have to be glued to the ATC but could dangle instead. Then I finally had the plan for the card. I remembered your love of kitties! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: Yes, I can understand you longing for summer right now, but trust me, you DON't want 6 months of temps and humidity in the 90s every single day. Thanks for rating and fo the special heart!
Response: I will check on the books to see if they are meant for me. Thanks for rating and for giving me a lovely heart as well!
Response: You are so welcome--I am delighted to know how much you liked the items I chose--working from your profile mainly. I wish you a blessed day as well!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy that you liked it. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are welcome---thanks for rating and adding a heart as well!
Response: Barb, I'm so glad you enjoyed the purple and the flowers and the
goodies." I took delight in finding the purples and the flowers, etc. to come as close to your profile as i could. i, too, hope to swap with each other in the future. Take care--Peggy
Response: You are most welcome--I'm happy that you enjoy them. Oh, I plan to go to NYC again at least once alone or with someone. My daughter and I have gone together twice and I may get her to join me on my dime if necessary. Or I will find a friend who will enjoy going with me. Best wishes to you!
Response: You are most welcome---happy you liked it. Happy Swapping--Peggy
Response: You are welcome--I had a League City Museum card and the Galveston card, so I just chose them randomly--how curious that the Galveston ended up being just right for you! Happy Swapping!
Response: You are more than welcome--I found so much more in the story of Ruth than I ever had before, making me very glad that it was chosen for the study. Have a blessed week!
Response: You are more than welcome! As always, I delighted in making the ATC and experimented with the greens. Thanks for rating and your patience with my delay--that is deeply appreciated! Take care and happy swapping!
Response: You are most welcome---the thought you mention about the stories contained within the walls of the house is my thought as well. I love going through antiques shops and sometimes when I come across a pair of child's shoes, I find myself wondering who wore these shoes and who did he/she become. Thanks for rating and the heart you added!
Response: You are most welcome--when I read your profile, I just HAD to locate some of the little boy items I still had from Nathaniel's early scrapbooks I made. I am happy to know how much you enjoyed them. It took me a bit to get into making twinchies, but now I do enjoy them very much. They will sometimes be perfect for making a card for birthday or just a "hello" note card. Thanks for rating and for the heart in addition!
Response: Darla--I am so full of happiness because the little album turned out just right for you! I take great joy in making the best things I possibly can and sending them on to someone who is delighted to have them! You Christmas Daily sounds like an fun way of preserving a year's Christmas celebration--from the smallest of things to the most wonderful times. I'd like to have done that for the Decembers when my kids were little. I always worked hard to have shopping finished by Thanksgiving so that December was set aside for special days together doing crafts, coloring pictures, making cookies, singing carols in the car---numerous moments from those holiday weeks are stored up in my heart. A book would save the fun for them to have again now. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: Oh, you are most welcome and I am especially happy to know how much you enjoyed the envelopes. I was able to buy a huge table full of Tim Holtz products from a colleague who took a class using some of his techniques and went out and bought tons of his things and then never used them! She sold that stash for only $35. Then she sorted all her Christmas supplies and pulled all of the Tim Holtz items--another huge spread of items---for $45 as I insisted because I have so much of his supplies now, I may never get all of them used up!
To learn how to use his inks and paints, etc. look for video instructions on YouTube. Also go to timholtz.com for his blog posts and demo videos. He also has 3 books that teach how to make items with his inks, paints, etc.. Hope this is a good week for you! I'm pretty good today.
Thanks for rating and for the lovely heart!
Response: You are most welcome and am happy to know that I hit my target of creating something you would love. Thanks for rating and for adding the special hear!.
Response: You are most welcome---and I'm envious of snow anywhere, but by this point, any snow is probably melting away pretty fast. Take and Happy Swapping! Thanks for participating in the swap!
Response: You are most welcome--I just love getting fun mail that looks so good on the outside that the inside must be equally as beautiful Glad you can use up some of my Disney things that my grrands are growing out of!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the card, Karen. Actually, I disagree with the interpretation that Atticus is not the noble man he is in :"Mockingbird." I does a few things that surprise me, yet he will not allow black women to get out of grocery lines to let him get to first of the line. He waits his turn instead and, I think, once asks a black woman to go ahead of him in the line. He does do a couple things that surprise me, but it is all part of his wisdom in keeping his position among the business community. He votes with them about certain issues, but does not carry those matters in his life. He knows he has to be friendly with both the powerful business community and its poor black laborers. Without that he could never take up the roll of mediator between the two halves of the community. That's where "Mockingbird" picks up.Hope this makes sense??? Thanks for rating a the added star!
Response: You are more than welcome and I am feeling much better. Thanks for rating and for the extra gift of a heart as well!
Response: You are welcome for the bookmark and for the note of encouragement. I just had a sense that you needed that bit of thoughtfulness. Hope tings are working better! Thanks for the heart!.
Response: Donetta--you are so welcome, not just for the rating but for the things I offered to you about your knee surgery and after. I knew how much I'd have appreciated that help, and knew I was supposed to share it --the hard parts and the easier parts equally. Isn't it hard to imagine how painful the knee was before replacing it and then after the surgery---OH! those early days are ghastly! Yet now I don't know what I was doing by putting off the pain and just going on when I needed the surgery much, much earlier. I'm happy to know you are up and going again at or near full speed! Thanks for rating and adding the precious heart!!
Response: Good, I'm happy that you like it! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart on top of that!
Response: I am happy that you liked the things I sent and that you can use them. Thanks for rating and for the added heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome and I'm happy you like it. That verse is one I turn to so often, so I thought it was the one to use. Thanks for rating and for the heart besides!
Response: Thanks, Pammykyn--yes, for the moment I'm feeling quite good. It took numerous spinal injections, but we've finally gotten the worst of the pain under control. Mu two new knees are doing very well--they were definitely worth the pain and rehab work to have knees that do not hurt nor suddenly "give out" for a moment when I was walking! Thanks for asking. Thanks for rating and for the happy added heart as well! I do love these postcard swaps!
Response: I am glad you are happy with the "collapsed" perfect pearls! It has never happened before, and that what one of the newest colored I've purchased. As Tim Holtz says, "It is what it is." I was happy with the acrylic block stamping in various colors and the glimmer spray at the end. So hope you noticed that. Thanks so much for rating and for adding a happy heart in spite of the "frumpy" perfect pealrs."
Response: You are most welcome--glad you liked the postcard. Well, neither of my brothers are willing to come at that time of year, so I guess I'll just focus on losing weight rather than being disappointed and hurt by my family's response.. Working to put those nurt feelings behind me!
Response: You are MOST welcome, and I'm happy that you liked it!!!! Thank you for rating and for adding a happy heart as well! Not everyone does the ratings so thanks for doing it!
Response: Thanks for rating and for giving the PC a heart as well! I am so happy that you like the card so much. I do hope to make those goals reality, especially the weight loss which is proving hard with all of the steroid injections to help my lumbar spine pain. The injections are localized, but the steroids cannot help but get into my whole body system. So this is going to take LOTS of work. Hope you're having a good week!
Response: Thanks for rating and for giving a precious heart as well! I am happy that you are so happy with the new technique that I was disappointed in. By the time I finished adding ephemera I was getting happier about the background. But I think you are right about the fact that techniques that seem not to work actually end up as one of one's best creations. Hope your new year is off to a good start!
Response: Thanks for rating and for adding a lovely heart as well. I am glad you liked the cards. I also hope to succeed with those goals, especially the one to lose weight in this calendar year.. I'm watching food so carefully what i eat and still cannot lose a pound. I have done all the correct steps to get started anestill have not lost more that 2-3 plans
Response: Thanks for rating, Nyla. I love haiku poems and am happy you liked the one I chose. The cards are always handmade--that's the best part of the poetry swaps for me. Hope your new year is off to a great start. Thanks for the lovely heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome, Marjan! How I'd like to have some snow to play in and maybe build a snowman if it's wet enough for that. I really do miss the four totally distinct seasons that we don't have here in Houston. I DO miss autumn and winter!
Response: You are most welcome--hope the new year is off to a good start for you! Happy Swapping!
Response: You are so welcome--glad you liked what I sent and I hope your new year is off to a great start by now! Enjoy another year of swapping fun!
Response: You are so welcome--glad you liked the card! I hope you are off to a good start in the new year! Happy Swapping in 2016
Response: I'm so happy that you liked the card--hope your Christmas was a merry one and that the new year is off to a great start!
Response: You are so welcome--I'm glad that you like the book cover. I enjoyed making it and putting my grandmother's old book to some good use because it's not old enough to be valuable and will only be sent off to Goodwill or such when I am gone. It might as well serve some good use rather than continuing to age on my book shelves. Glad you enjoyed the extras as well! Hope the new year is off to a good start for you!
Response: You are so welcome--I'm glad you have some of those memories as well. My best is the year that they convinced my dad to be Santa and Mom didn't know--just thought he was helping with costume, etc. Then he danced into the little sanctuary with Ho, Ho, ho's and went straight to my mom and kissed her! Fortunately we were all old enough to "know" about Santa! Enjoy you weeks in Texas!
Response: You are most welcome, Marjan! I do love Beatrix Potter! My puppy is doing so well--at 14 weeks, she has been accident free with potty training for the last two days! I find that had to believe! But the first accident free day, the grand kids were here and wore her out with chasing, running, fetching and just kid-energy stuff which Sadie B loved immensely. She will be happy to see them the next time they come for sure!
Response: You are welcome--I am looking forward to the cabin in the woods---a nice layer of snow in the hills and woods would make it absolutely perfect! However, that is NOT likely to happen! Have a Merry Christmas! Thanks for rating and for adding the special extra of a heart!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it--I had to use the acorn since I didn't have the pumpkin and I love acorns and the squirrels who eat them. Hope you have a Merry Christmas! Thanks for rating and for the heart extra!
Response: You are most welcome--the cabin is quiet and peaceful, especially our favorite one which we couldn't get. But we've been in this one several times--just not as secluded by trees. I wish the hills and woods were covered with snow---then it would be absolutely perfect! Have a Merry Christmas!
Response: You are quite welcome--I'm so glad you like it. Unfortunately, no, I did not crochet the flowers, but a friend on Swap-Bot a couple years ago made me several just because she loves to make them. Thanks for rating and adding the heart! I definitely enjoyed making your BTC. Have a happy holiday season!
Response: You are quite welcome-hope you enjoy it. Thanks for rating and for the lovely added heart!
Response: Pat, you know that you are more than welcome! I have enjoyed doing these tags but sure wish I could think of ways to get more members involved. For now, thanks for rating and adding a precious heart! Take good care of yourself!
Response: You are most welcome as always. Have you had any snow yet? If not, when it does snow, would you catch a few snowflakes on your mittens for me? I miss it SO-O-O-O much--Houston does not have snow but until I was 27, I lived in the northern midwest and had all four seasons! Thanks for rating and for a specail heart, too!
Response: You are most welcome--I hope it seem dark and brooding which is typical Poe. My lit prof background has great fun with these swaps. Thanks for rating--abd fir a heart!
Response: You are welcome--I had picked up those cards while in a gift shop not long before this swap came along and signed up because I had the right cards ready to go. Thanks for rating--and a heart to top it off!
Response: You are so welcome--I've loved these swaps all year, but it's beginning to be more and more fun now that Christmas is not so far away! Thanks for rating and for adding the heart!
Response: You are most welcome!! I love these swaps and cannot wait to be sending them after Thanksgiving here in the US. Thanks for rating and for a special heart, too!
Response: You are welcome, of course and I'm glad you liked the card. We had a dreary Halloween as well but with a window of nearly 2 hours when it was not raining. Just in time for quite a few trick or treaters to get out. Once the rain returned, treating came to an abrupt halt. Thanks for rating and for the special gift of a heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I make all of these cards by hand and try to match the design and colors of the card to the poem and the author's poetry in general. The retired lit. professor is having great fun blending my two kinds of art--written and visual. Thanks for rating and for the special heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm happy you liked the little squirrel. We have tons of them coming to our feeders, as many as 7 at once on the oak tree in the front yard. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like bunnies---it varies immensely among people as to whether they like certain animals. Our neighbor across the street it terrified of squirrels. Yet,, not knowing that, we have squirrel feeders in the front and back yards! At least we are attracting all the squirrels to our yard and away from hers! I think squirrels are very cute, but they are rodents and that could bother some people. Thanks for rating and especially for adding a precious heart as well. I DO appreciate it!
Response: You are most welcome--I've had a pretty good week and hope you have as well. I am glad you liked the Angel on the card. Thanks for rating---and for adding a heart as well. That means much to me. Thanks!
Response: You are most welcome--for the Skinny card and for working to add some swaps. I don't think I'll do the monthly tags next year as they have not picked up enough interest. I'll stick with ATCs and similar variations and the altered items as they got many more swappers interested. Thanks for rating--how do you keep up with all of your hosting? WOW--I could never add that much to my life even if I am retired!
Response: You are welcome as always--I had a couple stamps almost the same I discovered when I was sorting through stamps to see what I should order and was so happy the USPS still had a similar one. Thanks for rating and adding a precious heart!
Response: You are welcome--I love vintage holiday cards for any holiday. I found lovely ones for Thanksgiving cards last year.We are starting to cool--staying in 80's at least. Heavy rains are due to come through from the tremendous hurricane hitting western Mexico and barrelling its way into Texas where it picks up more moisture from winds bringing in Gulf moisture and then heading on into the plains states. It must be some horrible storm---glad it's coming in there and not the Gulf Coast! Ike in 2008 was the worst I've experienced and don't want that even worse coming our way!
Thanks for rating and adding a heart as well!
Response: You are welcome--glad you liked the flowers. I've lived in three other states and never seen wildflowers like we have here in Texas. I've even been to Big Bend in the spring after a wet winter there and seen the most amazing cacti blossoms! The desert was alive with color--breath taking beauty. We went back the next spring and very few of the cacti were in bloom as they'd not had enough rain in the winter. Best wishes--thanks for rating and for the added heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked the card--I would love to know what story it is from, too.
We haven't gotten to the tortoises yet but she and I are working on setting a time now that I'm set to pick them up from school always on Thursdays. The pick up time have fluctuated a lot during the first few weeks of school. I can't wait to see Nate's response! I suspect Rissa will be interested but not all that impressed--she is a princess-style girl through and through!
Response: You are welcome, and I am having a nice weekend. Hope you are as well. Thanks for rating!
Response: So glad to know you liked the tag that much. I sure have fun making them. I do enjoy working with his products and ephemera. Hope you'll be signing up for an October tag as well!
Response: You are more than welcome--I have fun making the cards. This one was perfect for the stamps I had that tied into the poem's meaning. Hope you're having a nice weekend.
Response: You are most welcome! I am glad you liked the ATC. I tried to match the extras to your profile as best I could. Have a great weekend!
Response: I am so happy that you liked the way it turned out. I got the "genuine" library card and pocket from a swap in which we altered them. The host had been given many of them from a librarian whose library is finally discarding all of them since all is electronic these days. When she knew my English prof background and love of reading, she sent me about a dozen instead of the one we needed to make the altered card and pocket. I'd bought some new cards and pockets never thinking I'd get to use "real" ones. Hope you are having genuine crisp fall days in Iowa---maybe my favorite season and the one I miss most (well, I DO love snow, so they are about a tie. Take care!
Response: You are most welcome--I so happy that you liked the card; I always hope to hit something just right for my partner. I have such a good time making whatever it is for a swap. I do need to get a couple mini albums made to document some time with our kiddos (see profile) and to complete a couple small album classes I took a couple years ago and abandoned while getting through my two knee replacements. I'm looking forward to finishing them soon. Then I must settle on a plan for Christmas cards and start making them!
Thanks for rating and for adding a wonderful heart as well!
Response: You are more than welcome--I am always very happy when an item I make is just right for my partner. That's part of what I enjoy when making most swap items. I want to make something my partner is pleased to add to her collection.
Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are quite welcome--I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for remembering to rate and for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are quite welcome--glad you liked the card. Yes, it was the grading that dragged me down every semester, and yet we always come back ready to go at the beginning of the next semester! I do miss being in the classroom--I've been a teacher at heart for my whole life.....from early childhood on I could hardly wait to go to college and become a teacher! Hope you are having a great week!
Response: You are welcome! I also love gold but also deep, dark blue with silver,or white on that blue. For making my Christmas Cards I look for samples that combine unexpected color combinations that a gorgeous! Hope you're having a good week! Thanks for rating and for the wonderful star!
Response: I am happy you liked the homemade PC; some really don't want them but I use the fronts of holiday cards we receive and recycle them this way. I like to take care of God's world. AT this point I'm still browsing Christmas card ideas on Pinterest and in magazines and card making idea books. But somehow I am going to have them complete by October 21! Thanks for rating and for adding a star as well!
Response: OH, you are SO welcome! I have been hoping the faerie theme would be just right for you! So I am so happy that you like the ways I did the theme for each piece. I am growing very fond of altering puzzle pieces and hope we have more of those swaps in the future. Have a great week! Thanks for rating and generously adding a heart!
Response: I am happy you like them! I was not sure about the color so am relieved to know you like it! I definitely enjoy altering these keys and doing puzzle pieces! They are a nice change of pace. Yes, we must try to get together--the summer just disappeared: it was July 4 and then I turned around and it was back to school! I'm going to be having the kids after school on Mondays each week, so if that will work for you, we could try to plan to head from school to your torts! They are at Ross Elem. which is on 518 and on the way to Friendswood from my house. I'll need to be certain they don't have to be picked up early from our house for karate or dance, etc. but I think that is the afternoon with no after school activities. Glad you love the key! Thanks for the heart!
Response: So glad you like it, Pat. I was pretty happy with it once it all was put together. I had to revise some of my original plans since I was missing some of his supplies. Hope you continue to recover nicely. Thanks for adding a heart!
Response: Mandy, you are welcome and, trust me, the joy of making everything is as much fun as you are having looking at them. I'm touched that I chose the right subjects and colors, etc. for you. I always try to read profiles before creating a swap. Thanks for rating and for the wonderful star!
Response: Oh, wonderful--I was hoping you'd especially like the dog one! You are more than welcome because I get tremendous pleasure from creating every thing I make. I'm amazing how much my skills have grown since joining Swap-Bot! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Deb. Thank you for rating and for including a star!
Response: You are so welcome--I'm happy that it was one you really liked. Thanks for rating and for adding a wonderful star as well! Hope all is going well for you!
Response: Thanks for rating--and the heart! I am finding postcards lately for stories from the 19020's and 30's, and I have never read those stories either, not even in Disney versions. Hope your having a good week!
Response: I loved that card, too, when I received it from a friend in 2014--I upcycle for these swaps rather than recycling the old cards. They are usually took cute or beautiful to just go in the recycle bin! Thanks for rating and for the precious heart!
Response: I'm happy that you liked the bird-themed card and sleeve! I love birds, butterflies, and all our other pets and outside visitors who come for the food! Thanks for rating and for the lovely heart! I hope it was truly earned by my art work! Thanks!
Response: You are most welcome. I made each one different which took more time but was great fun. Thanks for rating and for adding a heartt!
Response: You are most welcome--I thought it was pretty when I chose it from my cards from last year. I'm recycling them into postcards for these swaps. Thanks for rating and for a heart!
Response: You are welcome! Thanks for rating and for adding a lovely heart---hope it was well-earned.
Response: You are welcome--thanks for remembering to rate and for adding a precious heart!
Response: I'm happy you liked it. Thanks for remembering to rate!
Response: You are welcome, Pat! Oh, what I'd give for temps like that! They will begin sometime in October but we never know how soon. Thanks for rating and joining these swaps; I sure wish I could get more to participate. I suspect Vanne needs to clear out nonparticipants but has no time to do so. I'll better many have not checked the group in ages. Good luck with the shoulder replacement!
Response: You are most welcome--I like to be certain postcards are very stiff to stand up to the journey through the mail system. Thanks for rating and for a wonderful star!
Response: So glad you like the tag and it did take more work without the stamps and dies, but it was actually more fun to see how close I could come to his on my own. Yes, we have a heat index of 108 and actual temp of 103 by mid-afternoon! In spite of some misc. interruptions--days having our kiddos, for all day, back getting very bad, etc. I am making pretty good progress. I have to speed up when I take time to make a swap, and I don't have many going. I am about to start on the last round of kitchen cupboards after a paper art and scrapbooking retreat from Fri-Sun. I am looking forward to that--may work on my Christmas cards there and have them ready and waiting instead of frantically making them in the December frenzy. Hope all is good with your shoulder!
Response: You are most welcome--hope you are having a good week. Thanks for rating and for the lovely heart you added.
Response: You are most welcome and I'm happy you like the two very different tags! I just found Tim's little flash cards with words and the deck of them is more than I'll use in ages!. Enjoy the weekend! Thanks for rating and especially for adding a blessed heart as well!! We all love those hearts, don't we? I think inside all adults is a remnant of us as a 6 yr old child waiting and hoping to have a shiny star or other special reward from our teacher when s/he hands back our graded work! :;-)
Response: Cocoa, you are very welcome---I do love Graphic 45 papers! Isn't that grma wonderful? I had to make her fit in somehow. I'm glad you like the extra papers as well. Thank YOU for rating, and for a precious heart! We all love those!
Response: I am so happy that you like it---I was hoping the colors would be OK, but I just had to use the butterfly when I found it in my stash. The project was fun to make, and I'm so happy you like it. Thanks for rating and for adding a wonderful heart as well!
Response: Thanks for rating--I do appreciate it very much!
Response: You are most welcome--It is one of my favorites from last years cards as well--I recycle my Christmas cards by turning them into either gift tags or postcards for swaps like these. I just cannot see throwing away, even into recycling, such beautiful cards that many friends send. I get to keep enjoying them all year long this was! Happy Christmas in July!
Response: OK, OK--but this technique really did take several tries and only partially worked on the version I ended up sending. I think that when I get it really right, that it will be a technique I like very much. My partner sent a beautiful one, but she too, was on her third attempt! Thanks for your kind comments--I did enjoy playing with the technique even though it aggravated me with each attempt not fully melting the clear emboss. I am not sure how to tell when the embossing powder is just barely melted and it's time to use the black paint. On my first attempt, I clearly used way too much paint. That was easy to adjust--getting the just right cut off for heating the powder is the challenge in this technique! Thanks for rating and for the heart--hope you haven't been terribly hot and humid. My brother in far north Wisconsin has be hot and humid for several days, but then a rainy, cool front came through and improved both elements. In Houston, an afternoon thunder storm is quite typical in small areas and only serves to add more humidity when the sun is back out on all that moisture! Oh, how I love Texas in the summer . . . NOT!
Response: You are welcome--sorry to be late in responding, but as you'll see in my profile, I am on partial "hiatus" from Swap-Bot in order to work on getting my art supplies re-organized and attractively stored. Then I'm going through all my kitchen cupboards to clean and organize them. After that I'm taking it one room at a time to super clean my home after 3 years of hand arthritis and carpal tunnel surgery and two total knee replacement surgeries. Hubby is good in kitchen and with laundry, but he doesn't have a clue about cleaning! I do love him lots anyway! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart to that rating!
Response: You are most welcome--Hope your niece did recognize the illustration on the postcard. I'm so happy that I chose a good match for this postcard. It is very hard to do so except by sheer accident. Thanks for rating and for adding a heat as well. I do appreciate that!
Response: You are quite welcome--I am happy that you enjoy the card. Thanks for remembering to rate and for adding the special heart as well! Hope your summer is going well!
Response: You are most welcome--I love adding a bookmark that I think will be a good fit for my partner and apparently it was. I always have more than one book under way at most times, so I definitely need lots of bookmarks as I inevitably lose them all the time. Hope you are having a happy summer's reading! Thanks for rating and for the added blessing of a heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it--I had very little of the supplies Tim used and improvised quite a bit, but in the end, I was happier with the final results than I'd anticipated along the process. Thanks for rating and for the blessing of an added heart! Thanks also for continuing to join these swaps! I do appreciate your participation.
Response: I'd rather be there as well--I just really hate Houston heat and humidity! I've been here now for 38 years, but given any chance, I'd head for a climate with four REAL seasons. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart on top of that! Much appreciated!
Response: You are welcome; I am happy you liked the illustration I chose for you. I hope you are having a good summer! Thanks for rating and for a heart on top of that!
Response: You are welcome--thank you very much for rating and for adding a wonderful red heart which we all love to see. Hope you are having a nice summer.
Response: You are welcome of course--I am happy that you liked both tags! As I recall each tag is extremely unique and not matching at all. I was concernec that they should be somewhat matching, so I'm glad you like them. Thanks to you for rating and for a wonderful heart! Have a good weekend!
Response: You are most welcome--I am happy that you liked the card. Thanks for taking the time to rate and for a precious star! Hope you have a great weekend!
Response: I am SO happy that you like the tags as I really enjoyed making them--as I explained. I really find it amazing how one small item can trigger an idea for an entire tag or ATC, etc. I guess that's the serendipity of art! Thanks for rating and for the wonderful heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome! I just read this poem along with several others, but always came back to the humor of this one--it is just plain FUN, and most poetry is darker and more serious. I'm not very familiar with Noyes, but i'll always remember this poem! Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart, too!
Response: Thanks, Jackie---I really wasn't certain I was doing it correctly or not. It is certainly a technique worthy of being active in my huge number of different options and ideas for stamping. The hardest part is remembering all the techniques I've learned from your swaps! Hope all is well with you--thanks for adding the special heart--hope I truly earned it!
Response: You are most welcome--I hope your summer is a special one to enjoy. Thanks for rating and especially for adding a heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I am happy you like the bookmark! Have a terrific summer. Thanks for rating and for adding a special heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I could certainly have mixed up the swap #---I usually look it up to be sure but may not have this time. Thanks for rating and adding the heart!
Response: You are welcome--glad you liked it. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: Thanks, Pat--you are most welcome. The canvas had a very different effect but the one I received on the burlap was beautiful. The medium one chooses can make huge differences as evidenced in this case. Take care--happy crafting and stay cool wherever you are at this time. Thanks for a heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm so happy that you liked it. Thanks for the heart! Happy swapping!
Response: You are welcome! I enjoyed making the ATC--a technique I've never used before. Now to remember it when I want an idea for an ATC! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are welcome and thanks for your kind words about the ATC! Do remember that I've been working with Tim's products and techniques for over 5 years, took his online Creative Chemistry 1 class, and had a weekend of four classes taught by Tim himself! I've also learned from You Tube videos and from others who are far better than I. I've learned so much from swappers here over the last 3.5 years as well. Thanks for the added heart!
Response: You are welcome--glad you like the card! Those cats do keep us busy! At about 4:30 the 4 outside ones begin gathering and lying in wait for "dinner" which we usually do around 5:00. I swear they must all wear hidden watches as they all begin gathering at the same time! Have a good weekend! Thanks for adding a precious star!
Response: You are welcome, and I'm happy you liked the card and that the quote was a good fit for you. Hope all goes well with your journey to Croatia. God will guide your way and keep you safe in His arms I believe. Blessings-Peggy,
Response: You are most welcome! Thanks for rating. Have a good week!
Response: I am so relieved that you gave the zentangle one a heart! I just felt it was so far from what I wanted it to be--and my first zentangle ever as I said. I made about three false starts before deciding I just had to go ahead and continue or run out of time! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: You are so welcome--I enjoy recycling the cards I received each holiday season. This was one of my favorites from last Christmas. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome, and I thank you for your kind words--I try to put my very best into every swap I create and have learned so much in the past 3.5 years on Swap-Bot. Have a good week!
Response: You are most welcome, Donetta--I too am growing very fond of of BTCs especially because they can be done beyond the edges which I'm beginning to find very challenging with ATCs once getting a taste of it on the BTCs! Have a great week! Thanks for rating and for the blessing of a heart as well!
Response: Thanks again, Kathryn. The gate was almost an after thought but occurred to me just in time to cut it out before getting too far along in assembling the ATC. I loved the little girl and bunny and knew they had to be part of the card. Thanks for your kind words again and for the heart!
Response: Kathryn, you are quite welcome and thank you for your comments about my work and talent as I often wonder whether I'm really making something wonderful to eyes other than my own since I have had no art training of any sort. I'm actually beginning to have the courage to take a Continuing Ed art class at a nearby community college. So far I have been too intimidated by fears of not being anywhere near able to draw or paint and feeling ridiculously exposed to everyone in the class! :-) I'll eventually gain enough courage perhaps. Thanks for the encouragement and the heart!.
Response: You are welcome, Bev--I always try to put my best into each item I make which sometimes takes me a long time. I think I work slowly compared to most but it takes a while for the ideas in my mind to percolate into the creation I want to make! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are quite welcome. I like getting to reuse my cards from past years that are too beautiful only to be put in recycle bin! Thanks for rating and for adding a heart!
Response: You are more than welcome! I am always excited to know that my creation turns out just right for my partner. I read profiles and try to hold that info in mind as I create the item. Thank you for the compliment about the Flickr photos; I've heard that several times now and need to get my art creations in the past two years posted there as it is long out of date. Thanks for rating and all your kind words along with a heart!
Response: You are welcome; thanks for remembering to rate! I really appreciate those who do!
Response: You are more than welcome; it is a great technique and, I suspect, varies greatly in terms of the cardstock and colored pencils you are using. I hope what I sent can all be sent on to your special little boy!
Response: You are most welcome, as always. I hope you like the skinny card. Have a great weekend!
Response: You are welcome, and I am happy that you loved the postcard I chose. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart as well!
Response: I am happy that you like it and you are also quite welcome. I am really enjoying this series of postcards! Thanks for rating and for a heart as well!
Response: You are quite welcome--I love the times when I have the time to make the note cards or envelopes or both coordinate with the swap item. I have fun doing it! This technique was fun and pretty, so I must remember to use it on future art work that is open to any kind of media or technique. Thanks for rating and for the special gift of a heart!
Response: You are welcome! Thank you for rating; that means a great deal.
Response: I am happy that you liked it--hope you are busy reading and swapping! Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart!
Response: You are welcome--I really like that book and its illustrations. Happy reading and swapping! Thanks for rating and for the special gift of a heart!
Response: You are welcome as always--I was really lucky to locate the vintage seed packet I knew I had stashed somewhere. I found it by accident actually! I am happy you liked the added details as it seemed too "flat" or lacking in texture and dimension or something and I slowly thought of ways to bring it more life, but was hoping I didn't add too much. Thanks for rating and for the speecial heart!
Response: Bev, I am so glad you liked the tags! I am really loving this series of swaps as my collection is so beautiful; we have some great artists and swappers in our group. I never miss one of these swaps. Hope you keep them going! Thanks for rating and adding a lovely heart! Take care!
Response: You are most welcome, Donetta! I have many potted plants as well filling most of our back yard deck. We did have a new bed created behind garage, giving me a bit more room for veggies and herbs. In time we are going to need to move into a smaller home, most likely a townhouse or apartment, so I will be all potted plants, but as long as I have something growing, I am happy! Thanks for rating and for the precious heart!
Response: You are most welcome---I am gladI
I chose that card to send to you, not knowing that you love Vera the mouse! Thanks for rating and for the added heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome, Donettta, as always. I am happy that you like the ATC. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: So happy you like them, Bev! I was fond of the pocket one also and must remember to do those in the future. Thanks for the heart!
Response: So good to hear from you and thanks for rating and adding a heart! We must get together soon. I am out of town with my daughter in Dallas until early next week. Then let's find a time--the knees were well worth the hard work of rehab!
Response: You are quite welcome--I enjoy making each one of these postcards!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoy getting to re-use and enjoy each of the cards that I transform into postcards. I enjoy each card much more this way than usual. Have a lovely week!
Response: I actually enjoyed hanging my laundry outside---everything smells so fresh and clean. Diapers were especially nice when dried on a breezy day. Yes,I was old fashioned and used cloth diapers--partly because it was so much less expensive, and we were both still in graduate school when our first child was born. Have a great week!
Response: You are welcome, Jess. Thanks to you for rating, Happy swapping!
Response: Thanks very much for rating and for the lovely heart. I will have a second ATC swap posted fairly soon and, of course, the monthly tags always. Hope you are having a good weekend!
Response: Oh, Donetta, you are most welcome! I enjoyed every bit of making it as well. So it made us both happy! /Thanks for the precious heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for adding a special heart!!
Response: Thanks for rating, heart as well! I have just started Grafton series & hope to read the whole series.
Response: You are most welcome, Pat. It was fun to have this "private" swap, but I was surprised others didn't join as bookmarks were a specific request. Maybe the timing was off, so I'll try again. Thanks for participating in the swaps; I think this group pretty much died out for quite a while, and it may take some time to get members stirred back to life and enthusiasm. Thanks for that precious heart!
Response: You are most welcome--happy that you liked the ATC! Making items carefully and with attention to detail is my "motto," so to speak. Thanks for rating and for a lovely heart!
Response: You are more than welcome/ I am happy that you like the ATC. I'm still a novice at using the Twinkling H2O paints and have much to learn! Have a great weekend when it gets here! Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart!
Response: Thanks for rating, Kathy. Have a good week and happy crafting and creating!
Response: I am so delighted that you like the tags, Bev. They were great fun to make. Like you, I've fallen in love with Graphic 45! I absolutely MUST find the older group called Once Upon a Springtime!
Thanks for rating and for the special heart! Happy crafting!
Response: You are most welcome--it is one of my favorites and is often in intro to literature anthologies, but not as often as the old traditionals most people know so well. It is short, sweet, and so rich with meaning beyond the seeming simplicity--that is the quintessential Frost!
Thanks for rating and for a heart as well! Happy reading!
Response: Oh, thank you for the translation which makes the swap much more special--and you have the book as well! Thanks for rating and sharing and, of course, for the special heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Bev! I had a delightful time making it and am so happy that it made you happy! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome, as always. I really am fond of ATCs, no matter how many I make! I am always happy when my partner likes what I've put together. Thanks for the added heart!
Response: You are welcome--thanks for remembering to rate, and I hope you had a blessed and holy Easter.
Response: Thanks for rating; I must see if I can find that book as I am curious. Hope spring keeps coming in little ways each day until it is REAL soon!
Response: Sheryl, thanks so much for your kind words! Oh how much I love making these things and learn so many things with every item I create. Your appreciation and encouragement have played a big role in my growing creativity and confidence because you make beauty happen! I haven't been creating for a few days because of computer hacker problems and reorganizing my art room space yet again. It improves with each version so maybe I'll get it right soon and keep it that way! I have to share space with my literature books which are the other art I delight in, so I cannot expand much more. Please host another key altering swap!!!! Thanks for the heart also!
Response: You are more than welcome, Mareree! I am glad you like it--and noticed the M which didn't hang as visibly as I thought it would. Thanks for rating and a lovely heart!
Response: You are welcome-thanks for remembering to rate! Happy reading!
Response: You are welcome, Arabella! I am happy that you like the ATC--learned the ribbon idea from an ATC I received. Happy creating with the extras! Thanks for rating and for a special heart as well!
Response: You are most welcome! I make all my poetry cards this way, so I am happy to know you appreciate the little bit extra it adds. I love making them. Thanks for rating and adding a heart as well!
Response: You are welcome, Helen. I am happy you liked it and that you remembered to rate. Easter blessings!
Response: You are most welcome, Helen. I am glad you enjoyed the Easter card. I hope you've had a lovely Easter. Thanks for the heart!
Response: I am happy you like the ATC--thanks for rating and for the added heart! This has been an odd winter in various areas of the nation. Some have snow for Easter even in April and others warm and dry or deluged with rain. Hope spring is soon in full swing for you soon!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy you liked the card; I've been hoping that making the postcards by recycling my old Christmas cards was OK. It seems a shame to waste their beauty. Hope you weather is good now. We are sunny and 65 or so today.
Response: You are welcome, my fellow Hoosier! I love, love tulips and rarely grow them here because we have to buy bulbs, store is refrig. for about 3-4 months and then plant in January. They don't come back again as they do in the north. Have a blessed Easter.
Response: You are most welcome--so happy that you enjoyed both ATC and envelope. I have to remember to use the technique since I had to by large jar of the ultra-thick embossing powder--the one and only they had. I did love the results!
Response: You are most welcome--so happy you like it as I tried to match what I read in your profile. That info always helps me immensely. Have a good one!
Response: I am happy that you liked it as I've not done one before even though I've built up a huge stash of used stamps. Hope it isn't snowing on you today since it is the first day of spring. Thanks for the precious heart!
Response: I thought you'd like the key; I am also delighted that you're happy with the ATC because I wanted it to be something just right for you since I'd not had a time to send to you in a long time. Thanks for the heart--take care, my friend, Peggy
Response: You are welcome---thanks for rating and adding the generous heart!
Response: You are welcome--this group is a welcome change of pace for me!
Thanks for rating and for a kind heart.
Response: You are welcome; I have slowly begun to build my collection, but some pads I'd like are the past ones which are hard to find now. Thanks for rating and for adding a kind heart!
Response: You are most welcome; thanks for rating and for adding that lovely heart!
Response: I am glad to know it got to you and thanks for rating and adding a beautiful heart as well! Thank you!
Response: You are most welcome--I am glad that you like the card; it was made from a Christmas card that I recycled into a postcard. I can see why you would not like that kind of winter--miserable on a bicycle. Snow would be much easier and pretty as well! Thanks for rating and for the lovely heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I am so happy you like it that much--I am flattered by your comments and honored to have made something that moves you so deeply. Enjoy the book--I think I am going to make more of them, one for myself and a few others for gifts for family members. Thanks for rating and for adding a precious heart!
Response: You are welcome--happy that you like the card. This technique always is rather unpredictable in terms for what kind of results you'll get which is interesting. Happy swapping!
Response: You are welcome! I am pleased that you like the postcard. I really enjoy making postcards, so these swaps are ideal for me. Happy crafting and swapping!
Response: You are welcome--poetry is always a challenge, I think, but it grew easier to understand as I grew older--my theory is we may need more of life experiences to understand the life experience sometimes expressed in a poem. Just a theory of mine--LOL Hopkins's use of sound, especially alliteration and assonance is beautiful to the ear, even when I'm not sure what he's trying to say. You need a dictionary to check word meanings and the ability to figure out the words that may be missing in a line or phrase because of his "condensing and use of fragments of thought strung together. If you haven't already, take a look at The Poetry Foundation sight. It has the poems, poets's biographies, recordings of the poems, and usually some discussion of the poem's meaning. I used it a LOT for teaching my online literature classes. Keep trying to decode poems--the skill evolves with practice. Mainly just have fun with the sound if nothing else. Thanks for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy that you like the ATC. B-r-r-r---2 degrees is COLD! I miss winter here in Houston, but not the times when it is that cold. Still, I find snow so beautiful! Thanks for rating and for the heart! Keep safe and warm!
Response: You are welcome--I agree with you, I also hated to part with them, but I can always make more--until I run out of paper and can't afford to buy more for a while. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--and yes, it came close to Tim's this time but I always think that even when one has almost the same supplies, one leaves a touch that somehow makes it that individual's tag, not just Tim's. I do learn from trying the new (to me) techniques he uses for each tag. Thanks for rating and for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Jan. I love making bookmarks almost as much as ATCs, etc. Maybe it's because I've always loved to read and am a retired English professor. Thanks for rating and for adding a heart, too.
Response: You are welcome, Pikkis! I am happy you liked the ATC as I really enjoyed making it. Sometimes I find an ATC just seems to come together so easily and perfectly as this one did, and sometimes I need to really work to figure out just what to use and how to use those items. Thanks for rating and your kind words about the card; I deeply appreciate them. Thanks also for the precious heart!
Response: You are welcome, Sheryl. I had hoped to make them so they would open and have mini contents inside, but just didn't have the supplies nor space to do so at the crop but needed to finish and get them mailed.. I am so happy you like them. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I hoped you would like it. Thanks for rating!
Response: You are SO welcome! The trap rather evolved slowly on its own as I kept working on it and then it suddenly came together just right for me, so I am very happy that you love it as well. My daughter wants one just like it and I may make one for myself also. I think it is the best of the three I have made. Thanks for rating and for all those hearts!
Response: You are most welcome--aren't cats amazing? I have almost never been without one since I can remember. I love large dogs and some smaller ones as well, but they are much harder to care for. I'm happy you like the ATC and extras. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--and I enjoy making bookmarks but can only use so many myself! So I realized that these swaps would be a good way to get to make a few bookmarks. Thanks for rating and for the heart.
Response: I am SO happy that you liked it! It truly is the only one I've made and had great fun with it. I used Pinterest to jump-start my creativity. Thanks for rating and for the heart! Thanks also for all your kind words, and I am happy to know how much you like it!
Response: You are most welcome, Sheryl. I enjoyed making them--but nearly forgot the pocket so I had to improvise a bit.--just wasn't enough time to start over. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I am happy that you like the little book. I must make one now to keep for myself, and I had fun making it.Glad you also like the little extras. Thanks for rating and for the wonderful heart as well.
Response: You are most welcome and I am so happy you like the card. I had a grand time making that card. Thanks for the lovely heart--perfect for Valentine's, too.
Response: Thanks for your kind words--I loved discovering you were my partner for this swap. It was an ATC that I especially enjoyed making. The train stamp was new, and I simply HAD to use it, and the theme just evolved so easily. I did heat emboss the train. Thanks for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Kathy. I am happy to know you will truly be able to use the items as I tried to make good selections for you. Isn't that lace wonderful? I still have more to enjoy. Thanks for the rating and lovely heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Pat, and thanks for the kind words about the design of the ATC as I've had absolutely no art training of any sort and have just set out to learn from others and from Tim Holtz's classes and books and other books as well. I am so delighted that I finally figured out where I had put the box of my mother's old music when we moved here 21 years ago. It is full of treasures to use as I doubt my kids will be interested in it--except possibly for my daughter who got me into this whole paper art thing! Thanks for the lovely heart!
Response: I am so happy that you enjoy the ATC--like you I love old photos and can't believe I used to wonder why they were for sale in antique shops! Now that's what I'm looking for! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--and don't worry about the heart--just telling me is good enough and I appreciate your rating and the "pretend" heart!
Response: My gracious! I do wonder what happened in its journey to you! I can make a new one for you if you'd prefer! Thanks for rating and the heart--let me know if you'd like a replacement.
Response: I am happy that you liked it; I've done several projects using that old magazine which I found on EBay for very little cost. Thanks for rating and for the added heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm glad you like the bookmark--we reading people need lots of them to keep our place in several books all in process at the same time.'Thanks for rating and for adding the heart!
Response: Thank you and you are most welcome. I really enjoy every item I make and give each one everything I can do to make it pretty and well done. I just cannot Slap a few papers together and call it well done. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: Thank you for your kind words about the card; they mean a great deal to me. You and your husband have a really wonderful idea for staying close to each other and to God at the same time. Thanks for rating and adding a star as well. I do treasure those hearts but hope they are well deserved!
Response: You are very welcome, Bev. I enjoyed making it immensely. Thanks for rating and adding a precious heart! Have a good week.

Response: That was my favorite as well. Have a great week. Thanks for rating and for a heart as well!
Response: Don't worry; I'm just happy that you liked the ATCs. I came up with Zodiak because I was trying to come up with something less trite than zoo or zegra and took out the dictionary and started searching until I hit something. But I didn't realize it might take lots of time to find something to use for my choice! Have a great week. Thanks for the special heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Sheryl. I enjoyed making the ATC and am happy that you like it. Thanks for the special heart!
Response: You are welcome; I really had fun making this ATC and the Vintage Nature one for some reason. Thanks for the happy heart!

Response: You are most welcome--thanks for rating and adding the heart!
Response: Yes--you should! I am making progress, slowly but surely. I especially hope to get the pounds gone, and exercise helps that so I kind of combine them into on
BIG goal. Have a blessed day! Thanks for rating and for the heart!

Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are welcome, Ransom--I love getting swaps from you as I always get new ideas. Apparently, we both love doing that. I really enjoyed the holiday creations, but once I put away my tree and other decorations, I was ready to go on to something else. I do LOVE Christmas though. Have a wonderful new year! Thanks for the heart
Response: I am happy you liked the froggy card--the set is cute over all. Thanks for rating and especially for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: I am happy that you like the Santa; I enjoyed making him. Thanks for rating and for the heart. Have a wonderful 2015!
Response: You are welcome and I wish you a wonderful 2015!
Response: I am so happy that you liked it! I hope you can find some uses for the extras. I try to make them match each person's favorites from profile, but even then I suspect I get some great and some not quite right. Let's have ourselves a very wonderful 2015!
Response: You are most welcome! I'm happy that you liked everything! Have a wonderful new year! Thank you for rating and for the neart!
Response: You are welcome and I wish you a very happy New Year! Thanks for rating and for the heart also!
Response: I am so happy that you like the framed inchies. As I think I mentioned in my note, I've had that frame for at least a year and still hadn't found "just the right" thing to use it. These inchies just seemed perfect for it. And you can swap it around an use it to display other inchies and then back the the holiday inchies in Decembers. Have a happy New Year! Peggy Thanks for rating and adding the heart!
Response: I am happy that you like the ATC--the blue background paper was enhanced with Lindy's Glitz Spritz and my own spray mix of water and Perfect Pearls. Those are what made it shimmery. I was experimenting and liked the results--glad you did as well. Have a Happy New Year! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--thanks for rating and for the star!

Response: Glad you like it and happy that I finally can get the gifs posted!
Response: You are welcome--I enjoyed making your card. I thought it was the first time I send something to you, so I am happy you like it. Happy Holidays--and I hope we can be swap partners again soon.
Response: You are very welcome and I'm happy you liked the cards. I really enjoyed making them for you! Happy Holidays!
Response: I am happy that you like it as I enjoyed making it very much. The acrylic ink technique was interesting My son arrived this morning and we've been cooking and baking already. He was a chef for several years before going back to school and getting his Masters in Food Science. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Response: You are welcome, Bev--I am happy that you like them. The collage sheet offered so many possibilities that I had a hard time deciding what to do. That so much for adding a heart as well. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Response: That is not a problem--this is my first round of participation and I'm a bit confused anyway! Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy you liked the ATC. I made three different ones that afternoon, and my daughter and I both liked this one best. It was quite honestly inspired by the scrap of paper with three white trees left complete. Maybe that's a reason for having a cluttered work space! LOL Have a lovely Christmas. Thanks for rating AND for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Gina. I loved that Santa image and the glitter snowflakes from a scrapbook page layout that I never used. Have a Merry Christmas and thanks for rating and for the heart as well!
Response: Thanks, Jackie--I especially enjoyed making that card for some reason; it just came together so easily and quickly. Sometimes I stare at that blank little rectangle and draw and blank until I rummage around in miscellaneous stuff and suddenly find an inspiration! Thanks for the heart! Have a Merry Christmas with your family!
Response: You are very welcome. Thanks so much for your kind rating! I am happy that the things I found made you happy. Thanks also for the heart! Merry Christmas--enjoy your family--one our son will be able to join us at Christmas, but maybe both kids for next year.
Response: You are most welcome; apparently, I should be able to find more postcards by looking for this publisher. Thanks for sharing that info. Thanks also for rating and adding a heart! Merry Chrismas
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for rating and for the heart besides! Have a Merry Christmas--and happy reading in the New Year!
Response: You are so welcome--O was a little concerned that I'd blurred out the ballerina a bit too much, so I'm pleased that you like it. I try very hard to create something my swap receiver will enjoy as that seems to be the whole point of swapping! Have a very Merry Christmas! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and am happy that you like the ATC. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the lovely heart! Have a very Merry Christmas!
Response: Ahh--thanks, Sheryl! I think we make a mutual admiration team as I am inspired and challenged to try new materials and design ideas when I receive swaps from you or view your latest additions to Flickr. I must take time to upload to my Flickr account! Thanks for the heart and your kind, encouraging words!
Response: You are so welcome and am happy that you liked it, I was thinking Kerry was in Beloit but was not certain--it is a small world. My first swap ever here was to a woman in central Iowa about 10 miles from where I went to high school! My parents lived there until 2008. Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome. I'm happy that you like it. Have a wonderful holiday season! Thanks for the heart as well!
Response: You are welcome and I'm flattered by your praise, I must remember to keep that Rolo basic design for future swaps! Hope you've had a happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I hope you've had a happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I really love fall colors and the season itself. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome! I was afraid not enough of the book page background was still visible, so I am happy that you like it! Thanks for the heart also!
Response: You are welcome--thanks for the heart! Keep your creativity in full force for your future swaps.
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy that you like them. Thanks for rating and the heart! Have a great Thanksgiving and holiday season!
Response: You are welcome; I am glad you liked everything. The latkes take a little time for the shredding but were delicious. Thanks for rating and for the heart as well! Happy Thanksgiving--and have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: You are welcome. Thanks for rating and for the heart. Hope you have a nice week.
Response: You are welcome---happy that you liked the Coke images. I found them easily with a Google search and thought that was the best goodies I could add for your package. I don't always send extras since I rate only on the swap item, but the attempt to find the Coke ads seemed worth trying! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--glad you like the ATCs. I love using fall colors as I don't get to enjoy them outdoors here in Houston. It is my vicarious "autumn foliage" treat. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I'm happy that they will well with your other cards for this series. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome as are your kind words---they mean much to me as I work hard to make each item one of my very best. Thanks for the heart as well. I hope you are having a good week!
Response: You are most welcome! Hope you are having a good week!
Response: I am so happy you liked them--I was a bit uncertain since each was totally different in Alpha size, but then decided every one of the cards will be entirely different based on sender, unless someone created theirs in matching pairs. So I am happy they work well with the first two. Enjoy the week-end! Thank you for the heart, of course!
Response: Thanks so much--I really enjoyed finding that picture in my mother's things. I have no memory of ever seeing it before, and it is one I KNOW I would have remembered. I am happy that you enjoyed the ATC and my "story" behind it! Happy creating!
Response: Thank you, Jackie--I sure want to play with some very dark tissue to see what kinds of results they produce--hopefully rich, dark colors and not just get muddy too quickly. Thanks for the heart! Have a nice week!
Response: You are welcome--I loved making the card to match the poem as closely as possible. I love fall & don't get the color here, so always love making fall items for swapping. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--so glad you like the ATC. I am recovering nicely & creating art is good distraction from pain & a boredom-buster! Happy creating! Thanks for heart!
Response: You a most welcome. The shimmery effect came from adding a bit of Alcohol Mixatives--using either silver or copper, probably silver. They work just like alcohol inks and are terrific for making anything look metallic or just a little bit shimmery when added to usual process of using alcohol inks. I hope you find some and try it as I love the effects I can get, and the results are always a little different depending on the quantity used and the surface or medium I'm using with the inks. I am so happy you liked the ATC. Happy creating!.
Response: What fun to know how much you like the verse and the way I made it! Also, I am happy to have chosen items for extras that were just right for you. God's blessings on you---He has certainly blessed me with a much easier recovery experience this time than with the other knee. And since He only gave me two knees, I don't have to worry about another round of this!
Response: Not a problem about the mailing; it rarely happens. I am just happy you love the ATC since that's what swapping is all about--well, with the fun of making the extra special ATC!
Response: I am so happy is liked the ATC; I was hoping it would be just perfect for you! Sorry to be slow but there's this knee thing I am going through right now . . . :-)
Response: I am glad you like it! Hope you've had a great week-end!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy that you like it. Have a good week!
Response: You are so welcome, Bev! I am so happy you like them and that I DID make two. I was worried I'd only done one when I received two from my partner. I had fun using the collage images for these ATCs and for a couple others for other swaps. I've printed a few copies so I don't forget them! Thanks for rating and for the heart! Hugs--Peggy
Response: I am glad you liked the card with Bailey on it. She was such a joy and a childhood dream come true. I had read a Reader's Digest story about a G. Shepherd that cared for the baby set outside on a blanket--wouldn't let the baby crawl off the blanket. I knew then that some day I would have a G. Shepherd. Even better, we were able to get her through a German Shepherd rescue group here in Houston. Thanks for rating and for the heart! Enjoy the week-end!
Response: You are quite welcome--I especially enjoyed working with Tim Holtz style again. The first blending I learned to do with his distress inks was with browns, so I am always best when using browns! I love nearly all of his designs, but this stamp set is still a favorite and I've had it for some time now. I am happy that you enjoyed the ATC. Thanks to you for the generous heart!
Response: You are welcome--I enjoyed making the ATC and knew instantly what quote I was using as I do love the idea of fall being our "second spring" with flowers of all the gorgeous leaves. Oh, Boston--to spend a year there would be a gift from heaven--knowing ALL four season again even if for only one round through each of them. Hope you are having a good week!
Response: You are most welcome and I love your flattering comments and the heart! Thanks so much for both. I enjoyed making those twinchies and am happy they found a nice home! :-)
Response: I am so pleased that you like the twinchies! You are most welcome, and I look forward to more swaps with you! Thank you for the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I'm glad you like the kitty. My kids sure enjoyed the book about the kitten who played tiger in the grass. Have a nice week!
Response: You are welcome--that travelled to France more quickly than I expected. Have a nice week!
Response: You are so welcome, Sheryl! I had a great time working with this ATC. I have several child/children stamps since I just love little ones and have since I was only 4 yr old and helping my much older cousins with their babies.Once I decided which stamp to use It came together even better than I'd expected as the plans evolved. I appreciate your kind words about my talent and thanks also for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Donetta--as always, I enjoyed making them. I am challenged by inchies to figure out how to get more than a tiny square with one small item on it--BORING and NOT art! The challenge is good for my creativity muse who is often know to hide away and take a nap much like a naughty little fairy! :-) I am happy that you enjoy them and can see my "heart" in them. That is my goal with everything I make. Enjoy the long week-end! Hope you are enjoying some weather with hints of fall in the air and not 90+ with 80% humidity!
Response: You are welcome, Sheryl--I am always awed by your appreciation of my work as I follow your Flickr postings and think, "Oh, if only I could think of that idea . . ."! So your compliments touch my heart and encourage me to keep my curiosity and creativity well nourished and to just enjoy it. I do, indeed, enjoy each item I create and give my heart to it. Thanks for your encouragement and the heart. Also thanks for the wishes for recovery from the next knee replacement--if only we could get the dang thing scheduled and on to the recovery work!
Response: I am so happy that you like the kitty; he was fun to make. I agree that I enjoy getting to know the friends I'm swapping with. It is more fun making things for individuals I feel I know as friends. My week-end was good--at a scrapbook/paper arts retreat! FUN!
Response: Oh, I am so glad it got to you safely and that it delighted you! I had SO much fun making it--each step kept leading to another until I finally thought it was just right. I do hope the marbles stayed in place as I had quite a hassle making them stay put. Also, I am so happy that it brings back treasured reading from your childhood. As I wrote, I think, I did not discover the series until reading them to my children. You are most welcome and thank you for the rating and the heart! Hope you have a good week-end and new week!
Response: You are welcome; I am happy that you like the ATC. Hope you will find some uses for the extras. Thanks for rating and for the star!
Response: You are welcome; I happy that you like the items I created--I always enjoy making every item. Enjoy your time with Axel; we certainly enjoy days with our Nate and Rissa. They do make us laugh, don't they? And laughter is very good for us; I don't think adults laugh often enough the way children do. We need to try to catch up with them! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are so welcome! I didn't easily figure out how to handle the hair! It was sheer coincidence as the braid trim was out on my work area and I began fiddling with it and decided to see if it would get the effect I was wanting and there it was--working! My granddaughter saw her in rough form, just assembled and she picked it up with great curiosity! If I could get one cut from chipboard I'd make her one, but my hands will never do that! Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Response: I am happy you like the card--I always love making ATCs for some reason--and love swapping them. Enjoy your swapping creations!
Response: You are welcome--glad you like the Texas Gentleman from the past. It is one of my favorite stamps for vintage style pieces. Enjoy creating new things!
Response: You are most welcome; I had a great time making it. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I am happy that you like it. Thank you for the heart!
Response: I am happy that you like it--I had fun making it! Thanks for the heart and rating!
Response: You are quite welcome. Enjoy the week-end!
Response: I did have fun making this skinny and am so happy you like it. Have a good week-end! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks so much for your patience and flexibility. I'd sure like to know where the first one is! Thanks for the heart!
Response: I made two because I liked the results so much. I cannot wait to try it on some other deep colors. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I was hoping you'd be able to find uses for all of them. Thank you for rating and for the heart!
Response: I am so glad you like the ATC. After reading your profile, I just went and pulled that stamp off the shelf and then started deciding how to fit it into some orderly design. I pray that you will enjoy the best moments and step back and gain perspective in the not-so-wonderful moments. But it's much easier to see that in my grandparenting than I could as a parent. Enjoy the week-end! Blessings for all of you---Peggy
Response: You are so welcome--I'm happy that you like it. The extras are items that I have in untold numbers, so I decided to spread some around as I will never get them all used! Have fun with them. Thanks, also, for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I got the idea from my grandson as I explained. It was fun to make.
Thanks for adding the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy that you like it! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--it was fun to make. Thanks for adding the heart!
Response: You are welcome! As usual, I had great fun making it as a small idea kept getting refined and adjusted, etc. Thanks for adding the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I'm happy to know you like it. I found the book covers in a history of children's book covers for $5 at 1/2 Price Books. I love reading it, but it's also a great source of vintage details and ephemera for my paper art. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm glad the color for the bookmark is good for you also. That Ps. verse truly changed my life from that night on. I sleep alone without fear in hotel rooms when I attended conferences and for vacations, and for the rare times my hubby has been gone overnight. from our 2 story home. I just wish another verse would hit me with such intensity for a significant need! But I know He is always with me! Thanks also for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I am happy you like it. Thank you for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome and I'm always pleased when my partner likes what I create---I love working with "real" vintage things whenever possible. What some friends thing is junk, I see as a perfect addition to some kind of tag or ATC! Many swappers see vintage as the 60s- 70's and that's when I grew up, went to college and had my first child! That diversity of age and interests is part of what I like about Swap-bot and the people we get to "meet"! Have a good week!
Response: You are welcome, of course, and I' m happy you like it. Have a great week!---Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! Have a good holiday week-end!
Response: Betty, I was hoping it would be arriving pretty soon; if not I'd be contacting you and beginning a new one! It was fun to do except for the first few days that I was writing from brief notes I'd jotted down when not doing the swap correctly. My primary care Dr, is trying to get my thyroid adjusted---I've been on thyroid replacement since I was about 24 years old--I am hypothyroid--body doesn't produce enough. When it is lower people gain weigh (just what I need!) and is also putting me on iodine med for that. It was only 40 on blood test results and should be between 52 and 109!. I am thinking more and more that all these hormones need to get regulated before my body can really lose weight unless I virtually starve myself which is also unhealthy! Any way, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks SO-O-O-O much for your patience! Peggy
Response: I am so happy that you liked the Asian ATC. That Graphic 45 collection is one I think I may need to keep on hand regularly as I''ve used it often with all sorts of ephemeral and details. Have a great week. Thanks also for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, and I am happy that you like the Twinchie Set. As always, I had fun making them. Thanks also for the hearts!
Response: You are welcome and I am pleased that you liked the ATC. I love those buttons, but they've been sitting around for about a year, waiting for just the right item they would work with effectively. I found them on EBay, I think, but not certain. Thanks for the heart, also.
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you like it. I also agree that bits of pretty paper large enough to put to use make good "gifts" to add when sending a swap, I also thank you for the heart.
Response: Thanks to you for your kind words and praise, and you are MOST welcome, of course. I've been feeling a bit "down" today as we just returned from So. Dakota where we cleared out all of my mother's stored items and brought home three lovely pieces of antique furniture. Your lovely comment lightened my day! Thanks for the heart , of course! Enjoy the week-end! HUGS to you in return!
Response: You are most welcome, of course, and thank you for your comments about the card. I learn so much from others here on Swap-Bot. Thanks for the heart as well.
Response: Yes, it is a bit daunting, but whatever is not done by the end of the summer will just have to wait until I've recovered from my 2nd knee replacement in September. Enjoy your week-end Many thanks for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome, Sheryl! I am so glad you like the way I created the ATC. I had fun making it as I always do! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, and thanks for your kind comments. I almost forgot that a had a small bit of the lady bug ribbon! I felt my background wasn't hammered enough, so after pressing it, I hammered it more! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I had fun with the ATC. I've come across the bicycle charms a couple times and grabbed them up fast! Have a good week!
Response: Thanks so much for the hearts! I had fun creating them--my first altered puzzle piece. Also you are most welcome; I am delighted that you are enjoying my creation! That encourages me to keep on working to gain new skills and venture into new methods, etc. Have a great week!
Response: You are most welcome, I had the hardest time thinking of things that began with M and N--changed plans at least 3 times--So glad you are enjoying it!
Response: Thank you, Barbie--I had fun working on the ATC and am so happy that you liked the end results. Thank for the the rating and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Kathy! I am so pleased that you liked the ATC and thanks for all the compliments about my talented work. I don't know if I am, but I sure do have fun creating each item for swapping! Thanks for the heart as well!
Response: You are welcome; I am glad you like the ATCs. The extras were just a few things I thought you might be able to use; if not, don't hesitate to send them one to someone who can use them. Enjoy the week-end!
Thank you for the heart!
Response: Thank you--especially for the heart.
Response: You are quite welcome; I am happy that you enjoy the rolo-I had fun making it. Keep your creativity and curiosity in high gear and enjoy every minute in your art space!
Response: Your are welcome and I enjoyed getting to send you a swap again! I was rather stuck for an idea for the photomontage until the 3 generations idea hit simply be the old pictures I was working with. They are from and old photo album I found on EBay, so officially they may or may not even be related. And it worked better than I'd expected in the end. Hope you are having a good week! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--so glad you like the ATC and will enjoy the few little extras. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I hoped you would like it. Thanks for the heart.
Response: My apologies for missing this and not responding. You are most welcome and I'm glad you are enjoying memories of reading about toad and frog! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy you liked it. That is one of my favorite stamps. Have a nice week-end! Thank you for the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I'm happy you liked them. Enjoy the week-end! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome! I had fun working with it--it's the first one I've made. I was hoping it would look like an old photo album. Enjoy the weekend! Thank you for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome and I am pleased that you like it. Hope you have a nice week-end! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I"m happy that you like the little owl. I really love adding the little details that, to me, seem to make the piece "come alive" or something like that. Thanks for the heart--have a good weekend!
Response: Carol, I'm pleased that you like the kitty; it is one of my favorite stamps. Thanks for the heart and also have a good weekend!
Response: You are welcome--I hope you like it. Thanks for the rating and especially for the heart.
Response: You are most welcome, Donetta! And thank you for your kind words and the heart! The tasselly stuff is actually yarn but I'd sure hate to try working with it for knit or crochet! But it works beautifully for a "ribbon" replacement on tags and ATCs so I also keep some one hand and have gotten small lengths as extras in several swaps over the years. Enjoy your week-end!
Response: You are most welcome, and I am delighted that you like my little ATC. The coffee filter just pointed me to the logical connection to a cup of coffee! I'm sure it was graphic 45 paper that I sent. If you know a particular paper pad from Graphic 45, I may be able to find it here in my area of Houston. Let me know! Have a good week! And thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--thanks for the heart!
Response: At last! It really did arrive!!! The Easter card was, of course, meant to be in your hands well before Easter so you could use it. I guess there's next year! Haven't gotten to the Mixed Media Diptych--but it will be fun to be partners! Thanks for your patience with the mail carriers!
Response: You are welcome, Kathie! I love making my items to my very highest standards. It's no fun to do a few stickers cleverly arranged. My imagination wants the adventure of creating something unique from my stash. It may take more than an hour to get a start and then I'm on a roll and I keep thinking of things to add or delete, etc. I have fun making something beautiful! thanks for the complimentary words and the heart!
Response: You are welcome; I am happy that you enjoy the ATC and extras.
Response: I am so happy you like it--the lil'' guy stole my heart but had to do more than just put him there--since he took up so much space, all I could think of was using him to create a pocket. Cannot wait to get your treasure in my mailbox.
Response: You are welcome of course, Judaline. I hope you like it and thank you for the heart!
Response: You are welcome! I can remember living on two farms and always I had a swing. He also made us a teeter-totter, if you remember those and used water pipe secured between the crotches of two trees for a monkey bar. In that way I was definitely lucky--a really special father!
Response: You are welcome! And thanks to you for the heart! I am happy you liked the card. I put a lot of time and thought and creativity into everything I make. I'm sending something from my heart in each piece I create. So I love making them!
Response: You are so welcome--I really had fun making those at an all day Sat. and late into the night crop. Most are scrapbookers, so they are always intrigued by my ATCs, and twinchies, etc. Feel free to copy the techniques--we all learn from each other as well as trial and error! I tend to use the moss much more often than when I got it for a specific project. It adds an amazing texture without being bulky. Have a great week!
Response: Again--you are more than welcome, and I am honored that you see talent in my creations as I came to this with no training in art but just love coming up with things to fill up an empty ATC space, etc. I am slow and meticulous to get just the look I'm wanting. But sometimes I wonder if I am really "talented"? Old childhood lack of self esteem issues coming back trying to taunt me, I guess! So down with them! And on to create with curiosity--Mr. Holtz's words, of course.
Response: You are so welcome! I loved making that tag and could barely make myself mail it! :-) I have a photo so that i can re-create if for my self. Thanks for such a glowing review--It means a lot because I really put my heart into every item I make ! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome. As always, I enjoyed making the ATCs--after I finally thought of what I and J could stand for. The jewels were easier, and I think prettier, than the insects. But I do love ladybugs! I wish you an enjoyable week and thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome! I had fun experimenting with vellum which I haven't used very often. I think I'll use it more now that I tried it. The ATC was fun to make--I always have no idea where to begin, and then I'll spot one little item as I dig through my stashes of item. That item then triggers an idea and off I go to pull everything together! Thanks for the heart. Have a good week!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making the card. We are having lovely days but much cooler that usual for this month. i'm loving it! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are so welcome--the little girl reminds me of our Rissa who SO loves to serve tea to me and even to hubby once--we have a small collection of tea sets from antique shops, and she loves looking at them and wants to use them rather than the plastic set I got her to have at our house. I need to find an inexpensive set in real china that she can use as she know how to handle the items so carefully. We have an "invalid" china set that was her great grandmother's; when she is older it will be hers. She wants to play with it so much but that one needs to wait a while. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--glad you like the dangly metal remnant from a piece of old jewelry, and apparently it made it through the mail without damage. I had great fun with the card once I got going on it. Enjoy this week!
Response: I am glad you liked it--was stretched to find flag themed supplies! So I went in the vintage themed flag ATC. It was fun to make.
Response: You are most welcome! I especially had fun making that tag so I'm glad you like it. The stamp is from LaBranche that I find online in various places. They look different--all white but mounted like wooden stamp,They make great images. My replaced knee is healing beautifully and now really makes me know how much the left one hurts Plans are to do left one at end of August. COFFEE is a definite plan we need to make!
Response: You are welcome, Donetta--I sure did the tag thinking "vintage" rather than "Retro" until I was looking up info to put on the back label, so I am glad you enjoyed it. Have fun with the papers--I have lots more to share. I wonder if some of them may be left over wall paper but not sure. Anyway, I'm going to have fun finding ways to work with them.
Have a great week!--Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I hoped you would like them. Have a wonderful week!
Response: I am happy that you like it as I enjoyed the process of starting with the ad and background paper and it just evolved as I started working--hadn't planned pocket but it suddenly seemed a great ideas. I am honored by your kind words.
Response: You are quite welcome--when I saw this swap, I knew I was joining it for certain as it stirred up memories of the first phone I remember and that first indoor full bathroom! It was first house that had water connections to more than a kitchen sink. The little Nebraska town we were close to boasted 360 pop. In 7th grade, we had three in our class, including me! Now I have an amazing home in the country's 4th largest city! Education can take one anywhere they wish to go if they take that education seriously! Teaching students who lacked that spark is one reason I chose to retire--not to mention the buy-out the college offered after we had made our retirement decisions! I am very afraid of what our educational system is doing to our nation! On a less serious note, hope you are having a splendid day!
Response: You are welcome of course and I'm glad you like them. The small size was definitely a challenge!
Response: Thank you and you are welcome as always! The resist emboss worked better on that one than on the other one. I either didn't do it quite right or it just isn't something I like. More practice will tell. I always learn something from these elements and techniques ATCs.
Response: You are welcome---I'm honored by your kind words. I always enjoy making the ATCs and everything else I make.
Response: You are welcome--as I wrote, I was not really happy with the emboss-resist technique--I need to work on that quite a bit. Enjoy your week-end!
Response: You are most welcome! I am happy you like the ATC as I enjoyed making it. The picture is about two years ago! She will be 4 on July 31! Nate is in kindergarten already--I miss having all day times with him! Hope you are having a good week!
Response: You are most welcome--Hope you are pleased to add it to your collection! Enjoy the week-end!
Response: You are welcome; I hope you will be pleased to add it to your collection. Enjoy the week-end!
Response: You're welcome, Sheryl! I like your style and creativity so much and wonder if I can come close to your level of art. So your kind words are very special! I'm glad you enjoyed them!
Response: You are quite welcome and thanks for your kind words. I especially enjoyed making this tag. I do give lots of attention to details which slows my finishing of a project but I think I end up with creations that are more artistic and beautiful that way. I am not comfortable rushing through an item. I'm glad you like it! It is definitely BLUE!
Response: You are welcome--I'm glad you liked them!
Response: You are most welcome--they were fun to make. The fairies came from a free download from a web site. I love rounding corners--not sure why other than I think they seam more finished and "polished."
Response: You are most welcome--I hope you like it.
Response: You are welcome as always. I had trouble getting truly inspired so hope it was OK. Keep warm down there in far south Texas; we've had a very chilly week which is fine for me! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome. Hope you are not in the path of this snow storm heading across the south and up into New England! Keep warm!
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for your encouraging words and for the heart, of course. If I remember correctly, the card is from a kit but I did my own version and not the kit's instructions which I find to much like "cookie cutter" results. Hope you are keeping warm wherever you are--it has been a windy 40 degrees day even here in Houston. This year I'm getting some real winter kind of weather which I love. Of course, it's at the expense of all those dealing with one snow storm after another!
Response: Thanks so much for your kind words about the ATCs--I always try to make items to the best of my skills--make something I'd be pleased to get. Also you are more than welcome! I hope we are together in more swaps soon.
Response: Ah, that was sheer chance--that you had rabbits when you were a child! I thought at first it was a cat which would have been me as a child--and to this day. It has been a while since we swapped with each other; I was "off the grid" for a while before and after my right knee replacement on Dec 31--what a spectacular New Year's Eve that was! The magazines from the 1930s and from the 1800's were found on Ebay and are not that expensive. The Etude magazines were from my mother and here sisters in the 1930s. Have a great week!
Response: You are most welcome! Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome!
Response: You are welcome--kitten is wood. And, yes, I always communicate about problems if at all possible. Have a great 2014!
Response: You Christmas Kitty was mailed yesterday. Also, I sent PM to everyone before leaving for Thanksgiving when I was scheduled for surgery today That has been cancelled because a cardiac problem may need treatment, possibly surgery for that. I have not been sitting here deliberately NOT completing my swaps; I am doing the best I can given the health issues I've been having since July last year. I have always been patient with my partners because life does happen and comes unexpectedly out of no where.. Your Christmas Kitty should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday.
Have a great holiday season!
PeggyO
Response: I am very happy that you like the ROLO--it took some time to get an idea but once I had one part in mind I was on a roll! I'm honored that you think is may be the best ROLO you've ever received touches my heart; it's a comment I'll cherish for a very long time! Happy Holidays! Oh, the chap on the card is the first guy from Tim Holtz's 3 guys stamp.
Response: You are quite welcome! As often happens, I kept staring at a blank ROLO card and then out of nowhere an Idea pops up and off I go, thinking or details to make even better! I love making every gift I make! Have a wonderful week.
Response: You are most welcome! Hope you have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--glad you like it as well Hope you a blessed holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome and I enjoyed creating it. Hope you were able to have a special Thanksgiving holiday.
Response: Thank you so much--I've had some help with other tasks that made your card possible!
Knee surgery is "set in stone" as of today--pre-op, pre-adm, etc. complete. My out of pocket has been met so the co-pay was $0! Have a blessed holiday season!
Response: You are so welcome! She should not have to go through this and I know God has His reasons--something good must come for Lili from this ordeal. She is in my prayers!!
Response: I am happy that you like it--that's the part of 'Halloween I like, not the creepy, scary, gothic stuff. Have a great week-end!
Response: You are welcome; I think keys and buttons and a bit of lace are the best parts of 'vintage/shabby-chic and vintage look. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving!
Response: Thank you, Jackie--This was fun to make. Have a special Thanksgiving!
Response: Thank you for your kind words and for the heart as well. How are you doing? Must be getting better fast since your Thursday only a few days ago, right? ! My pre-op with Dr Siff is Jan. 10 and surgery is on Jan. 18. I can barely get out of a chair or off of the commode! LOL Both knees are equally painful--which makes it worse. I am calling today to see if he can do a steroid injection in the left knee even if we have to wait until closer to surgery so that "good" knee may be a bit less painful for rehab since in the rehab I know will involve reliance on the good leg, and as one of my worst students might say,"I ain't got one of those." I had forgotten that you were an English teacher; I often used that passage to discuss difference between metaphor and simile. Have a blessed Halloween!
Response: Bev--I am happy that you like it as I enjoyed making it; for you. I am still trying to get caught up. I'm still trying to catch up!
Response: You are welcome and happy that you like it. It was a challenge but I learned from it. Have a nice week-end coming up soon!
Response: That's OK--life happens and alters are best made plans! Thank you for your kind comments about my methods; I'm never sure that I'm getting something just right; usually I get a slow start of a background, etc. and then start digging around in my stashes of various kinds of ephemera until an items grabs my attention and then every begins coming together. I've learned SO much my almost two year here on Swap-Bot. Thanks for the heart along with your kind response!
Response: Thanks for your nice rating and a heart as well, I loved making and hope you can you the fall colors quck
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for your kind words. I learn something every time I make an item. Thanks for the heart!
Response: After making the mistakes last time, I aimed to make this with ZING!. I ordered the stamps for far less than the actual postage would. We I saw the #3 stamp I knew it would be just perfect for you!, The envelope images I could not find last time. That second day, they popped up all so easily. really don't know much abut space flight, but to have vivid images of watching John Glenn and of moon landing as I stood there ironing an taking in the asstonishment of the n-moment.
Response: You are most welcome--I need to practice that technique as I'm not certain I got the results I should have. But trying something new always is worth while as i sometimes discover a technique I love and use over and over; on the other hand, sometimes I don't get good results and either practice until I get it figured out or just set it aside and use other media and or techniques. Thanks for the generous heart!!!!!
Response: Thanks--I am so glad that you like it as wasn't sure what I thought about it. I got a good start and then kept finding items that would be just right, but did I have room, etc. The lace is genuine vintage lace from an estate sale on EBay. I get some great treasures there, especially if the shipping charges are low or sometimes free. That for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I had fun creating it Lately I've begun putting something on the envelopes to cheer up the boring envelope and sometimes give a hint about what is inside the envelope.
Thanks for the heart!
Response: Yes, reading Hopkins aloud is the best way to understanding him; also read to the end punctuation and stop. Hopkins also omits some words you have to fill in, but the richest beauty is in the unusual rhythm and sound. Also knowing that the minion (ruler) refers to Christ helps. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! As I said I just made a smaller version of a larger coffee themed note cart I'm glad you lkie it..
Response: You are most welcome--abstract is a bit foreign for me but had the small wooden pieces and decided I should really find a way to put them to use. It was fun after I came up with some ideas about how to use them. Thanks for the heart!!
Response: You are welcome Donetta--hope you liked the ATC! Thanks for the heart!
Response: I was pretty slow in coming up with that surprise element. I've slept since I made the card, so I'm not certain what I did for the background--but I have a photo which I can find and let you know. Thanks for the heart! Hope all is going well for you!
Response: You are quite welcome--it was fun to get out my Christmas stash and see what all I'd forgotten in the box. I'm glad you like it and thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome; I am glad you liked it. Thanks for the heart--and hope the card really earned it!!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy that you enjoy it! Thanks for the generous heart!
Response: I don't remember for certain, but my guess is that it was Tim Holtz distress inks. I'm glad you like it. I enjoyed making it for you!
Response: Adriann--you are most welcome and I'm pleased you and can be put to good use. Short letters are rather hard for me to write--ask any English prof or teacher--when we start writing we just keep on writing! LOL Have a great week! Thanks for the heart--hope it was truly earned!
Response: As always, you are welcome. I really enjoyed making them I was puzzling over several ideas before getting started and then remembered a swap that require an ATC with a pocket. I used the edge of pocket folded down for it as I came across a perfect piece of old jewelry to finish it. I've done it now a few times and will definitely use it in the future. It looks great and is really very easy to do! Thanks for the heart--have a good week!
Response: Bev--you are quite welcome--I just have a great time with alcohol inks --it always gives unique and changing effects. Thanks for the heart, and for the get well wish as well! I am happy to say that the FOURTH Dr. diagnosed it as a yeast infection--Thrush! 3 months on steroids that were entirely unnecessary! Now to get rid of the "moon face" and 20 pounds I added from them! Three months of mouth sores could have been cut to a week or less. They all kept thinking that only children get thrush! Anyway--have a week full of great days! More items are coming to your mailbox soon!
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy you liked it. Thanks for the heart as well and hope it was well earned.
Response: You are welcome--and I'm sure I didn't make two sets! Was running behind schedule a bit in fact. Hope you enjoy them. My hubby was laughing because I have TONS of buttons--got two huge bags from EBay a year ago and have them sorted by color in canning jars and some pretty glass jars from his mother and in antique shops----BUT I could only find 6 that were orange! For a while I thought I'd have to go buy some! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--have a nice week-end!
Response: You are welcome as always; hope you can use the items I selected. Thanks for the heart--have a nice week-end!
Response: You are welcome! At first I wasn't sure I had much that was orange, but the more I looked the more orange items kept showing up. We are studying Genesis this year in my Bible study group, so it was easier to find a verse to use. Have a good week-end!
Response: You are very welcome--I enjoyed making the envie and came across the key while digging through ephemera and decided I had to find a way to attach it securely and use it. I'm happy you like it! Stay creative and enjoy creating! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I really miss fall here in Houston so I especially enjoy the two or three months when I get use all my "paper fall foliage" and pretend it is chilly outside. Hubby is native Houstonian and had never seen fall color until we went to Smoky Mountains in October 2011! He was literally stunned and I was basking in memories! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Georgia. I was confused as well--I think I should look for some You Tube videos explaining the technique so I know for sure what the results should be. It was fun to experiment! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I was glad to finally have you as a swap partner again. It has been a while. Hope all goes well with the second knee! Thanks for the heart !
Response: You are more than welcome! I had a hard time getting started as I love color so much and had to stay with black! Went to my old stand-by trick of "digging through my stuff" and hit on the Carpe Diem die cuts someone included in a swap. I'd totally forgotten them! That triggered the whole card instantly. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome, friend! How I wish it were cool weather here! It has been only in the 80's but rain and humidity is so high that it is virtually hard to breathe outside! Keep warm! Thanks for the heart!
Response: I am SO happy that it arrived! I apologize about the squishing of the squished rose--I can send another and try to wrap it better. I really thought it would be OK--Live and learn, right? Have a great Friday! Thanks for the heart in spite or the squishing problem!
Response: You are welcome--I was concerned the dress wasn't full ATC size which is why I added the background full size ATC. Thank you for your kind rating and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, friend! I do SO love fall colors! How I wish I could move where they really exist, but after this long in Houston, we have too many family and friends to want to leave. The only exception is if my son has a family--then I'll have to be close to grandchildren! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome! I hope you can use the ephemera! Have a great week!
Response: Thank you very much, Jbeth! The card just slowly evolved as I dug through my stashes of ephemera and supplies. When I landed on the perfect metal piece with red "gem," it just fell together. Don't know where I found that item, but I think it may come from Alpha Stamps online. The heart is splendid--the joy was in the creation process! Have a great week!
Response: You are most welcome--hope you liked it! Have a good week-end!
Response: You are quite welcome--I really liked working with those colors for some reason, and I was hoping the little extras would be something you liked and could use!
Response: I am so happy that you like it and you are most welcome. Have a good long week-end!
SEPT 5--Just realized you are in Australia--Not Labor Day there!
Response: You are most welcome--he was fun to make and I hope he didn't break--this is only my 2nd sculpture and the air dry just doesn't look quite like baked clays. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome, Janell, and I'm happy that you like the items. Hope you have a nice week-end and thanks for the heart!
Response: Ritta---thank you so much; I really did enjoy making that ATC so I especially happy that you love it! Thanks for the star--One still is nice!
Response: You are quite welcome; I'm happy you like the ATC. Yes, that piano is my prized possession. My parents bought it for $35 they really could not afford just so I could learn to play!! I'd like to know what its value is now but would never part with it! We lived on a farm in a very isolated, rural area in Nebraska. It sat untuned for months (matter of $$ and finding piano tuner) but I still started teaching myself with a little help from mother. It probably is the reason I cannot sing on key at alll! LOL
Response: WOW--thank you so much for your compliments! I am only beginning to believe that I am really becoming an artist. When I started SB, i was worried that I would not be good enough to do the swaps! I've learned SO much from making the swap items! Thanks so much for your encouraging words and the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I'm pleased you like the ATC and card. I'm sure our paths will converge again soon!
Response: How interesting that we have been reading the same book! I'm plodding along as I'm distracted by constant dr appointments and making sure I get all swaps finished and Current Dashboard totally clear as I go into surgery on Sept. 3. Thanks so much--especially for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome! I had fun creating these ATCs--was kind of stumped for ideas at first and then stumbled onto items as I went through supplies--I always have items that I have totally forgotten about, so sorting through them is one of my best ways to kick my creativity into gear! Thanks for your kind comments and the heart!
Response: I am so honored by your kind comments--I did work hard on that ATC and ended up reluctant to send it off! when finished. Your comments have really inspired me, and I desperately need that to get through the surgery pending! I sure hope I can get back into my art room fairly soon after two weeks as that so distracts me and renews be spiritually! Thanks for the heart as well!
Response: You are very welcome;I'm just happy that you like it--I too immediately thought of the escaping bird as just what I wanted to capture! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome---It is the first tin I've created so I especially happy that you like it. Now I want to do another one SOON and mke some for holiday gifts! Thanks for the kind comments and the heart!
Response: IT did get a bit chunky and was susprised about that as my creative juices kept selecting new things to try--had great fun making it! Thanks for the precious comments and a heart!
Response: You are selcome, Mimi! --I enjoy creating the ATC and especially likee the way the fairies and butterflies came together as I was not sure if I'd be happy with it. Isn't Eric Carle great fun? I've reliving his stories again with Nate and Rissa! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--thanks for including a heart and hope it was truly earned!
Response: Thank you for your heart touching comments, Betsy! I began SB wondering if I even belonged here and have learned and grown SO much from swapping which has also build my confidence to try new things. I am not sure I am thop crafting queen, but it is so kind of you to say sol I always put the time and effert into my creations as they represent me and I don't want to look anything but my best! Thanks for the heart as well!
Response: You are quite welcome! I so happy that you like it as it is the first dolly skinny I've done. I had just picked up the antique doll book from 1/2 Price Books when this swap came along. So I was very pleased I had not put that book back on the shelf!! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome--I also kive seeing what my partner made for the same instructions I followed--the varied creativity and inspirations are fascinating and they give me new ideas as well! Thanks for the heart--hoping it was truly earned!
Response: I'm glad you like the tag and are most welcome. The tag was a challenge without the crackle paint. In the end I was pretty happy with the flag--it's one die I really don't want to buy as it is really only for such a few uses compared to all the others to use any time of the year. Hope you are having a great day! Thanks for the "hearting"!
Response: You are so welcome and I am very happy that you enjoy it--as always, I loved creating it! Thanks for all the "hearting"!
Response: I am so happy you liked it--I was alittle afraid it was just too chunky but it also matched your profile to a certain extent. I find inspiration so often in items I receive in swaps. Hope you are having a good week-end!
Response: Thanks for the heart, of course. After I started on them, I realized that a larger stamp would have been better. I think I was not sure what kind of result I was going to get. Hope your foot is healing rapiidly and not causing too much pain!
Response: You are most welcome and I'm so happy that you liked them. I'd held on to several small and a few larger left over pieces of paper from a Button Farm recipe album kit. I loved the paper and was certain I'd eventually find good use for the scraps! I'm getting some respite for both knees because by RA flared in lymph glads and mouth sores, so rheumatologist put me on a prednison 6 day dose pack. I have never had those symtoms before, but the steroid has helped those problems and reduce inflammation everywhere in my body, a blessed little respite--I have 3 yr old granddaughter and got out to bargains at JoAnns and to community pool with such ease. It won't last long but feels good. Enjoy your week-end!
Response: Thanks so much Donetta--and for the heart as well. I had fun making it as always. Have yourself a good week-end!
Response: I am really happy you like it as I was working very hard to get a match to your profile and apparently I got it! When hubby said it looked gothic style, I was pretty sure I was on the right track. It "WAS" had to part with and I'm making another one soon--possibly for my daughter's Christmas stocking. Enjoy the week-end!
Response: You are so welcome--I'm pleased that you enjoy it. As always I loved working on it! Thanks for adding a heart!
Response: You are very welcome! I love birds and butterflies so this was a special one to make. Thanks for the heart on top of the kind comments!
Response: You are quite welcome--I'm happy that you like them. As I make each item I am trying to make them match my partner's profile as closely as possible with the supplies I havel Thank you for the heart which I hope they truly deserve! Have a nice week-end!
Response: You are quite welcome and I'm happy you like it. The feathers were a last minute idea that i just had to go with. Yes--I'm definitely liking turquois and red color combination! Thanks for adding a heart!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you like it--especially the orange. Thanks for the good wishes for my surgery; I'm going to be out of pocket for a while here I suspect!
Response: I fully understand and wish I hadn't made the original error of not bird themed and the second error with the address. If I'd had the correct address, at least the original coin album would have been on time. Life is just not always perfect and so are people, so I appreciate your comments about the quality of the two coin mini albums. I worked very hard to get that as I refuse to send something that is not up to my standards. Thanks you for even giving me a 5--that is generous in its self!
Response: You are welcome--I'm glad you like it. Did you get one of my peacock cards? I found them at TuesdayMorning but they only had one box. I'm still hoping to come across some more. Thanks for the special heart!
Response: You are, as always, most welcome! I am flattered by your thinking I am talented. I have a hard time believing that but keep hearing it and may begin to believe it. I do enjoy making every item! I hope you are having a good week!
Response: You are most welcome--I am happy you like it so much and am touched by your kind remarks and thanks for the heart! Hope the ATC truly earned it!
Response: You are welcome--thanks for the heart; hope it truly earned that.
Response: You are most welcome! Thank you for the heart.
Response: You are quite welcome--I struggled at first with getting just the effect I wanted and then the card suddenly seemes to come together almost on its own--if you know what I mean! I am so happy that you like it and hope we'll do another "Little Dress" swap soon. I'd offer to host one but I have total knee replacement surgery for my right knee in mid-Sept. and will need to have the left one done after that. Then I need to have the thumb arthritis reconstruction and carpal tunnel surgery don on my left hand. I did the right hand last summer. So after three more challenging surgeries, I will become the "Bionic Woman"! LOL
Response: You are more than welcome! I came across a TON of chipboard and grunge paper items at a craft store "garage sale" where people rent table space to sell things from their supply stash they no longer want. The prices a amazingly low! Thanks for the heart and I am happy you liked the atc! Thanks for the wonderful heart!
Response: You are most welcome! I really liked painting the bluebird---think it looks more realistic than the dove. I had trouble getting different shades of grey, white and near black. It ended up just greyl I glad you like it and thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome. I hope you liked it and thanks for adding a heart to my rating--hope the tag truly deserves it.
Response: You are welcome, Darida. I was hoping it was all dry enough but want to play with the techniques some more to get better results. I'll try to remember the exact steps in a PM. Thanks for the heart as well!
Response: You are very welcome--and thank you for adding a heart--just for the card and not the extrasl I'm glad you can use the extras. I enjoyed making the ATC.
Response: I am so glad you like it--I had a grand time deciding what to put where and how to secure it. The truck was a freeby along with one of the Tim classes I took; he provides so much ephemera for us to use on a shadow box--the one you can rearrange the boxes as you wish. I had three cars but none fit my configuration of the boxes. So I held onto them to use eventually. I had one heck of a time getting that truck to stay is place! Apparantly, my last attemp with using heat gun to warm the metal enough that the hot glue would stay warm enough until I got the car in place. Tim had us use tip of glue gun to warm metal for hot glue, but it wasn't working, so I tried the glue gun and got success. Now I can say I improved upon a Tim Holtz idea, can't I? Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I am so glad you like it. Your work is so amazing that I want to create something really special when I'm sending to you. Have a splendid 4th of July!
Response: You are welcome, my friend. I did have fun making it BOTH times. Remember I made it at my all day crop and then couldn't find it. LOL I am happy you like it. Any word from Bean?
Response: You are more than welcome--So glad you like them. The paper is from a Graphic 45 pad named "Bird Song." It was a birthday gift and I love the papers so much.
Response: I am glad you like it. Yes it's from his Seasonal collection pad which I have used very often. It is a bit heavy in quantity for Halloween for me as I'm not a Halloween fan--only cute a clever costumes and art. Have a splendid week-end!
Response: You are welcome and I'm glad you like it. I was afraid all the hidden images were too obvious--maybe just because I know where I put them! Have a wonderful week-end.Thanks for the heart!
Response: Ah, thanks for your compliments and for the heart! They were fun to make from a new stamp set I had to try! Have a great day!
Response: You are most welcome, Jennifer! I am getting an inch to rejuvenate the old acrylic painting skills I had back in the days of tole painting, so I enjoyed making the ATC--of course that's always true. Hope you have a great day.
Response: You are welcome--were the hidden pictures pretty obvious? As I wrote, I did two versions and still think I could do better. I may use the idea with permission of the swap coordinator to host for another group so I can try again. Hugs for a good day!
Response: You are quite welcome, Gina. I LOVE the bits of vintage lace I found at a little "hole in the wall" antique/flea market very close to my house. I am happy that you like it and had fun making it. Thanks for adding a heart---I hope the rolo deserved it!
Response: Oh,my--his wings did not fall apart!!! You are so welcome and I am happy you like the little fellow--he was fun even though his wings did not cooperate at all! I hope I have some sculpting and painting talents because I'm really feeling drawn to try both more and more. I'm trying to build up the courage to take an actual class--like a continuing ed course at a community college, but cannot see myself doing well enough yet. I will eventually build up the courage--I HOPE! I appeciate the heart and hope my little mallard truly earned it!
Response: You are welcome--hope you enjoy the tag--as usual I enjoyed making it! Have a good end of the week and splendid week-end!
Response: Thanks for your kind words and you are most welcome. These tags are always so much fun to make. Hope your move goes smoothly--sure am glad I am not moving! I'm probably having knee replacement surgery in about three months. Need both knees done but I guess one at a time is the best plan based on doctor visit this morning. We may be able to keep the other one from causing so much pain by using Synvisc for it while having the surgery for the other one. I'd love some private swaps when you get settled in!
Response: You are most welcome. The paper is from photos of Arts and Crafts of Thailand. I found the book at 1/2 Price Books and immediately thought of it as an outstanding paper supply--and unusual--for only $5. I lover repurposing and up-cycling media for my art. I really appreciate the heart. Hope you have a splendid day!
Response: You are more than welcome, Connie--I hope you like it. My recreations are usually not as "dark" as the original and sometimes I wonder it my partner is OK with that. I do enjoy the challenge and pushing of my creativity. Extra thanks for the heart as well! Hope we swap again! PeggyO
Response: You are welcome and I'm glad you liked them. I grabbed a couple milk caps instantly when I read your profile so I wouldn't foget when putting your package together. Thank you for the heart also.
Response: You are most welcome--I was hoping the ATC would be a good choice for you. I've been getting lots of ATC size papers lately which I love, but I have a huge paper stash, more than half of which is donations from my daughter and one of her friends. I've added new pads and singles for my Tim Holtz thing and Theresa Collins, etc, but really don't need paper so I send the prettiest ones I can part with and share just to keep them moving until someone ultimately can use them. Have a good wee-end. I'll be looking forward to the collaged masterboard which I haven't even begun! Wouldn't it be funny if you are my partner for that swap? Health problems have slowed me down far too much. But the art projects are better than narcotic pain relievers!
Response: Thanks for you compliments about the ATC--I enjoyed making it--using new methods is a challenge I enjoy. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--and you're also right that Blue Bell and the Rose Emporium would be perfect places for entertaining guests. Cool off with that ice cream after walking through the gardens which will be warm--but where isn't it warm in Texas this time of year? Thanks for adding the heart!
Response: Thanks for your compliments--I enjoyed making it as always. Thanks also for adding a star--hope it was well deserved!
Response: Thanks, Jackie--I had a good time making those. I have an old Victorian Decoupage book with all sorts of images I can cut out for vintage style pieces.
Response: I am so happy that you liked the postcard and the extra dies. I like getting those since there are so many dies available and I only have a few. So that's a fun thing I like to receive.
Response: Donetta--I treasure your praise for the card--I sure enjoyed making it, but always doubt that my creation is good enough. With such amazing responses, I am really expanding my skills and beginning to be much for confident in my work---well, most of the time. Have a grand week-end, even if it is just stay at home and rest! HUGS--PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome--I just thought sharing the process was part of the swap instructions--but maybe not. I definitely had fun making it! Have a grand week-end!
Response: You most welcome and I'm happy that you like it. Yes, I have several SB friends who are fond of aqua--especially combined with red. I couldn't see it at first and then the color combination has become one i like and use rather often.I'm glad you have the dining room table cleaned off. Am I understanding correctly that you have just retired? If so, I think you will love it! For us, RETIREMENT ROCKS! Take care!
Response: You are welcome--I hope you enjoyed it.
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for the beautiful words about my ATC--you and others are slowly beginning to convince me I AM an artist (at least becoming one). Between that and my insatiable need to read and learn and even thinking (????) that I will try a Continuing Ed art
course are making me more comfortable with my work. I know I've grown from all of your here on Swap-Bot Do enjoy the tapestry yarn as she would want you to do so. Have a beautiful week-end!
Response: You are most welcome, Jennifer! I was excited to have you name show up on my list of partners! I am so pleased that you like the colors; I always try to follow my partner's colors if I have the right things in my stash.
Take care and enjoy June--I loved it when I lived where the weather wasn't ghastly hot and humid by then!
Response: Ah, shucks; it weren't nothin'! LOL You make me feel so good and build my confidence more than you can know. I am beginning to believe that I may be a "late blooming artist"--kept dormant all those years that I loved the art of literature and writing, I hope you have a splendid week-end! Thanks for all your encouraging comments. I'm going to need them as I am getting ready to start working with modeling clay and molds. Thanks for the heart, sweety!
Response: I'm glad you like it! I always have fun making each item--trying to match my partner's profile. Thanks for your kind words--I have a hard time believing my work is that good and is actually ART as so many on SB have told me. Have a good week-end when it gets here!
Response: I am glad you liked it. i was not sure whether we were to maii it with a message or to send it blank, I hope I did it correctly!
Response: Not to worry--I'm just glad you did remember. Hope you are having a good week that is shorter than usual because of the Monday holiday.
Response: I am glad you like it; I had fun making both of the ATCs. Have a good week-end! Thanks for the heart also!
Response: I am happy that you like it and thanks for adding the heart as well.
Response: You are most welcome--and I am glad you liked it that much. Thanks for rating it with a star as well!
Response: Thanks so much for your complimentary words! I just try to make every thing to best of my abilities and love doing it! And, yes, that book is going to be a treasure for a LONG time; I may try copying some pages, but am afraid the quality will be compromised unless I find just the right paper!
I hope you are having a nice week-end! Have a good week in every way!
Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are very welcome--I was not really ready to send it, thinking it just wasn't well designed---it IS my first ever collage, so I am happy that you like it. Thanks so much for adding the heart to my rating! Have a good week-end!
Response: You are most welcome; I am glad you noticed that I worked from your profile to create something that would be just perfect for you! Thanks so much for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome, my friend! I really had fun with this Rolo once I checked out the comics--kept your mowed lawn fave color and added from that. I so happy that you love it! Your comments are so flattering and give me the courage to keep trying new ways to create items with mixed media. HUGS to you, my friend!
Response: You are most welcome, my friend! I loved being able to make you two swaps in a row! I am so flattered by you comments--gonna remember to come back and read them when I'm having a"down" kind of day! I did try very carefully to make the green color just right and to pull inspirations from your profile--for me that's a main reason for having a profile!
You are more than welcome--hope all is going relatively well for you right now!
Response: I am glad you liked it and that you understood my message. Thanks for rating and have an extra special week-end is even a small way!
Response: You are welcome and glad that you like it. Have a good week-end!
Response: You are welcome, as always. I "inherited"bunches of the wooden items from my daughter's friend who gave me tons of her stash that she was getting rid of. Between her and my daughter, I got started with very few $$ and then started building my stash which is now consuming a whole room which is set aside just for paper and mixed media art---and my literature collection. But the room has two entire walls of floor to ceiling shelves and a huge china cabinet which makes a beautiful book case. The closet is also FULL of supplies.
I am happy you like the dragon--I was really stumped there for a while because I had neither the stamp nor the plastic. They I recalled a huge dragonfly 3-d sticker I got from the JoAnns $1 bin--but did I have one left?? YES! Did the little pads keep the wings lifted even through the mail? That was a concern, but had no other ideas. Enjoy your week-end! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I just happy that it is something you like. I have a few cards I like too much to use and keep them displayed somewhere on a shelf if there's room in my art studio--lots of shelves but full mostly! I need to just create a binder or something like that to store them and browse through them occasionally. Don't worry about letter writing! I'm a retired English prof who taught writing classes, so when I start writing it can go one for pages! But BE SURE NOT to let that fact make you afraid to write me---I just enjoy meeting people and learning about their lives. I'm RETIRED and have no need to score anyone's writing ever again. That was only part of the job I disliked! Enjoy the week-end! We are having beautifully cool weather for May in Houston--set record low this a.m. Hope to swap with you again soon!!
Response: Your compliments are flattering but much appreciated. I was hoping you'd like the buttons. My crop group thinks they need to an intervention because of my obsession with button collecting! Enjoy the week-end and thanks for the heart!
Response: You are quite welcome--I enjoyed making the card and choosing the verses--have so many favorites. It is a small world in many ways--one of my first swaps went to a woman in Iowa about 10 miles from the town where I went to high school! I am happy to have that thimble, especially because I never got to know her and my grandfather died before I was born. Mom was the youngest of 11 children, born when her mother was 48!!! Have a blessed week!
Response: You are welcome--your swap idea was fun--liked being able to choose from options based on my favorites and my partner's info. Have a great week!
Response: You are welcome I am so happy it got to you safe and sound! I could not believe finding that quality cup and saucer for such a low price. I could not walk away from it. I, too, love birds and pansies, so loved making it! Have a nice weekend. Thanks also for the heart!
Response: You are welcome and I'm glad you liked it. Have a good week-end when it gets here! Happy Swapping as well!
Response: Aw, shucks, I just sent you what I thought you'd like! I'm glad you do and hope you find just perfect uses from the extras--if I'm remembering correctly all came from EBay or flea markets. Have a good week-end! {{{HUG}}}
Response: You are very welcome--I was so undecided about what to choose and then the paper pads were too expensive until I noticed they were on sale; then the challenge was which one you'd like best! I'm glad I chose one you like--have fun with the papers. Hope you had a happy birthday!
Response: Glad you like it and you are welcome. Thanks for the heart! Hope you are having a good week!
Response: You are welcome and I'm happy that you liked the items. Please continue feeling better--what a rotten way to end a vacation! Have a good week!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy that you liked it. I'm always hoping to be making something my partner will like and not just what I'd like. Have a good week!
Response: I am glad you like it; I am going to use the waxed paper resist in as many ways as I can come up with. The effect is so pretty.
Response: You are welcome--I hope you liked them as I'm really having to work hard to deal with such a small space. Practice will make each attempt better. Have a nice week-end!
Response: As always, you are quite welcome. Tags may be the easiest things for me to create--probably because that is what my daughter and her paper art friends taught me to make. The ATCs, inchies, twinchies, Rolos, etc. I've had to work very hard to create ones I am satisfied with. Hope you have a nice week-end; I'm joining a paper arts group for an all day until midnight crop tomorrow. The group almost disbanded, but a few of us worked to get it back up and running. I'm kinda the lone Tim Holtz/shabby chic/vintage one in the group but they let me in anyway! LOL
Response: No problem! Life happens and we just have to roll with the punches it brings our way! No one is perfect---how well I know that I am NOT! Have a nice week-end and a good week after that! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I LOVE that yarn that I just found almost by accident--may have to go back for more! I'm glad you like it all! Have a wonderful week-end!
Response: You are most welcome--I love that yarn as well and may have to get more rather soon. I enjoyed making every part, including the envelope! Have a great week-end!
Response: Thank you for such a complimentary response--I appreciate it and the heart. Yes, wasn't this technique fun? I made more than I needed for this swap and used the rest for the next ATC swap. I am going to use this method often in the future. Hope your week is going well!
Response: You are very welcome--I enjoyed making it, but was a bit concerned about the darkness, so I'm glad you like it.
Response: I am happy that you liked it and thanks for the heart. The background is SO easy. Take two pieces of GLOSSY card stock and a piece of waxed paper a bit larger than them. Crumple up the waxed paper and open out, smoothing just a bit. Place waxed paper between the two pieces of cardstock--glossy sides facing each other. Iron over the three layers with medium heat and NO steam. The crinkles in waxed paper make was resist in several patterns. Ink over the treated glossy card stock with your color of choice. So easy and amazing, unique background paper! Give it a try!
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for the heart! I am flattered at your praise 'cuz I find your work
SO beautiful--your praise is a huge encouragement!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I really had fun making those ATCs--love old book page backgrounds--can do so many methods to complete with that simple background. We are having a RARE chilly day in April--heavy rains last night and morning and then sunny and in upper 50's--this is probably the last little taste of cool--in another two weeks we'll be into upper 80s and 90s. Another LONG hot summer--wish we could move north but hubby is native Houstonian, and we have some of his family that we really need to help with caregiving. Our kids are in Dallas and Chicago. No grandchildren coming from Dallas and son in Chicago area is single. If he has kiddos, I will have to move or make a lot of flights to Chicago. Meanwhile, I have my Nate and Rissa--tomorrow is their day with us! They sure are grandchildren in my heart! Take care of yourself!
Peggy
Response: You are mos welcome--had fun creating them. Thanks very much for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for the heart! I'm really enjoying ATCs---and am beginning to do inchies and twinchies. They are space challenges! Hope you are having a good day.
Response: Thank you--I hope you enjoyed the card. Please have a good week. Also, if the tag was missing something required in the swap, please let me know so that I do not miss such things in future swaps. I hope you are having a good week! Best wishes, PeggyO
Response: You are VERY welcome! The dots are liquid pearls from Ranger/Tim Holtz. I LOVE using them--much cheaper than self-adhesive pearl "bling" and comes in numerous colors.I'm glad you will be able to use the Rolo and buttons. One of my paper art friends is certain she and the rest of our group need to do an "intervention" for my addiction to collecting buttons! LOL I had MANY from my sewing days when home with my children, and then I discovered them by the "ton," on EBay
Where do you get the pretty papers Rolos that already have the holes so cleanly made? I have to try mine with cutting knives and scissors and don't get nearly the perfect cuts yours have. Do you find them online or in hobby shop? Thank you very much! OR is it a punch? That would be wonderful as it would work for any Rolo size!!!!!!!!!
Response: You are welcome! Yes, my daughter found those and made she everyone she knows who uses vintage, shabby chic, styles got one because they had tons of them heading for the trash. Have a nice week!
Response: You are very welcome; as always, I enjoyed making the Rolo and picking out the extras I thought you might like. Have a nice week!
Response: OOOOPS! I guess I missed the multiple shades of blue and was thinking only in terms of blue as the main color. I AM MORE THAN HAPPY to make another that is in shades of blue. I will get it to you as soon as I can without falling behind on other swap deadlines. I do apologize--one more bit of evidence that I am human! LOL Have a good week!
Response: You are quite welcome--I forgot to send the stickers the last time you were my send-to partner, so I kept them out on my table until I got a chance to send them in a swap! Have a wonderful week!
Response: You are welcome--I am glad you like the A.R.T. The umbrella man is one of my favorite Tim Holtz stamp! Have a very nice week-end!
Response: That is interesting! We played it as kids with our baby sitter and then as adults with my parents who played a version called "Chicken Foot which was a bit more challenging. Are you back in Iowa now? If so, what is the weather like?
Have a great week! Thanks for the recommendation for the Advanced . . . group. I am honored and humbled at the same time!
Response: You are most welcome--the small size, I'm convinced, is forcing me to become more creative and innovative. Have a great week!
Response: You are more than welcome--I always have fun making my items and, when I have them, adding some extras from my partner's profile. Wishing you a blessed Easter as well. Thank you for the heart!
Response: Sissy--thank you so much and you are MOST welcome! I love making the best things I possibly can for my swaps--That is the fun for me--creating something my partner will really enjoy. The envelopes are not really that time consuming; they just look that way! Thanks for the heart--I hope that my swap truly earned it!! Enjoy the week-end and thanks so much for the heart!
Response: Jennifer--thanks so much and you are most welcome. I was delighted to discover you were the swap partner I sent to. But darn it, I forgot to add some Winnie the Pooh stickers sitting right here on my art working table! DUH!!!!!! Well, I'll get them to you next time. I hope you are having a good week-end!
HUGS and HUGS--Peggy Thank so much for a heart! I really appreciate it and hope you know you don't HAVE to give me a heart! More HUGS--Peggy
Response: You are very welcome--as always, I had fun creating the ATC. I did regret mistaking it for the all brown project for the swap but am happy you like it. The wooden embellishments are from a huge box of buttons I found cheap on Ebay. Because they fit in one of the flat rate mailing boxes, shipping was not expensive. If I remember correctly, the background was done with Distress inks spritzed with water into which I dipped the paper until I got just the swirl and drizzle effect I wanted. I'd have to look up the photo I always take of swap items to be certain. Enjoy the week-end and a special thanks for the heart!
Response: You are very welcome--I enjoyed every step in making it!So glad that you like it as that is my goal!
Thank you for the heart!!!!!!!!!!
Response: You are most welcome and thank you for the compliment. I try very hard to create something my partner will like. Thanks so much for the heart!!!
Response: Thank you so much for the compliments about the ATC--and for the heart! I always enjoy making my swap items and try to make them meet my partners profile preferences. The heart is much appreciated!
Response: You are most welcome, and appreciate your awareness of the work put into making it. I always enjoy coming up with the best ideas and methods, materials, colors, etc. to make the best item I can for my swaps. For me that is the fun part!
Response: Bonjour et merci.Comment allez-vous? J'aime le fabriqrcation de tag. [Is that at all close to: I enjoyed making the tag?] I have lost most of the French I could read and write when in college. I am happy that you liked the tag I designed.
Response: You are very welcome--I'm happy you liked the ATC--had fun making it as always. That Dickinson quote is one I used over and over to teach the concept of metaphors to my Intro to Lit classes. I really miss crocus-actually all spring bulbs. We CAN plant tulips and daffodils but have to chill them in refridge for several weeks since our ground stays to warn. And they do not naturalize and return the next spring. They have to be annuals here. The other signs of spring I miss are forsythia and pussy willows---just love those! Hope you see the crocus before much longer!
Response: You are most welcome and am glad you like the tag. I definitely needed to improvise as I didn't have the exact supplies he used. I'm really beginning to enjoy adding playing cards to various projects, especially if I come across some "wee used" ones or some that I can age by sanding and distressing edges, etc. Have a great week-end! Thanks for the HEART!
Response: You are welcome--I'm happy you liked the ATC and the little extras. Have a great week-end!
Response: Thank you so much--those words coming from you mean a great deal to me! Enjoy the coming week-end!
Response: You are very welcome! I definitely like the distress paints--they are pricey compared to other acrylic paints, but I don't think just thinning regular acrylic paints will work the same way--won't have the distress characteristics and reactive qualities. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you--it did take some time and thought but enjoyed the challenge! Thanks very much for the heart!
Response: Thank you VERY much--compliments from you are quite important for me! You are so talented!!!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making it as with every swap item I create. I just love the challenges of each swap!
Response: You are welcome. She is such a sweet, gentle, and rather timid little lady. We are so happy that she needed rescuing and that the shelter was closed--definitely a sign that she was ours!
Response: You are most welcome. Hope you are having a nice week.
Response: That is fun--how can we both be thinking about the same design and creation? I guess, GREAT MINDS must RUN IN THE SAME DIRECTION! Right? I am glad you like it--I always feel I need to go several extra miles when sending to you since your work is so amazing!!
Response: You are most welcome--I worked carefully to try making it match what i found in you profile--both the ATC and the extras I thought were just right for you. Thank YOU for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--and thank you for the heart!
Response: The THANK YOU definitely goes to YOU for giving me time to re-create this on an artist's canvas board--I totally missed that info in my first creation I sent you.
I did think that I created a better second version/re-creation of the original. Some of that was because of the strong base provided by the artist canvas board. I also had new supplies available that I didn't have when I made the first faulty version. I think I learned several things from doing it over that will help me in creating future mixed media creations!
Thank you for letting me re-do this swap--you did not have to let me do so!! I fully appreciate that generosity!
Thanks for the heart--when it was a re-do! I love the fabric--comes from Fabric.com and is not expensive at all. I'm anxious to start using it more often in my mixed media creations.
Appreciatively, PeggyO
Response: You are quite welcome--I'm glad you enjoyed it. Did I send you the envie that uses the base of a brown paper bag? I love that idea that I picked up from someone who mailed me a swap in one
Response: I am glad you like it---I'm always unsure about choosing an embossing folder as I'm beginning, but as I worked with it, everything seemed to come together. Hope you have a good week-end!
Response: Jennifer--I was so frustrated today that I found the Winnie the Pooh stickers I searched to find to send in your package! Well, you are welcome even if I didn't get those to you. We will most likely have another swap when I can send them to you!
I am quite touched that you were glad I was your partner--I am ALWAYS happy when I know I am getting something from you! The happiness works BOTH ways! Have a splendid week-end when you get to it. Since I retired, every day seems like a week-end day--well, except for Sundays!
HUGSSSS---PeggyO
Response: You are more than welcome--as always, I had a great time making this and the Feb. tag. I did one and packaged it before going to next swap and then was amused that it was also for you! I do think that my creativity is stimulated when I don't have every thing Tim uses for a tag. i had everything for the Jan tag which made it faster to make but it was imitating and not creatively challenging. I learn more skills when I have to improvise. Have a good week-end when it gets here!
Response: You again are most welcome.--the message above addressed both swaps. It was fun to send to you twice!
Response: You are quite welcome--I had fun as always creating the package. I glad it made you very happy!
Response: You are most welcome! I hope the coffee suits you taste preferences! That was the challenging piece of this otherwise really easy swap!
Have splendid week!
THANKS for the heart!!!!
Response: You are most welcome---I apologize about the info on the back. I guess it is just habit for me with ATCs. Thanks for letting more for future creations. I glad you enjoy the little extras. I often need to de-stash or run out of room!
Enjoy the week!
Response: You are most welcome. I'm really getting into the fiber techniques. The paper bag method is borrowed from a swap I received just before mailing your ATC--going to use it often!
Response: Thank you--I am going to try making some better ones--that look more like genuine stained glass windows. Meanwhile, I have swaps to create and mail. I hope we both have a better weeks coming up. HUGS
Response: Thanks so much--especially for the heart! Hope the goodies can be put to good use and have fun using them. I wasn't quite certain I liked the end result with the stained glass techniques, but apparently it worked better than I thought. Thanks for you kind words as well as the heart--have a great week-end!
Response: I probably did use the machine because of President's Day. My apologies--I certainly did not intend for that to happen. Makes me wonder if it has happened to others who just haven't mentioned it. May have to stop using it!
Thanks for letting me know and for the heart in spite of the postage due! Have a good weekend!!
Response: You are most welcome and thanks for the compliment. Actually, I have been doing those techniques for years--thanks to my daughters and her friends and to my taking Tim's Chem 101 online class and attending his week-end of classes in April 2012 with daughter and friends. He is amazing in person--humble and personable--seems genuine, but I could be missing something. Anyway, I prefer to believe he's genuine! Have a great rest of the week!
Response: Thank you--I'm glad you like them. I saw the idea of recycling security envelopes on a TV scrapbook program but just hadn't tried it. I was happy with it and like being able to re-use in a hobby that consumes considerable paper!!
Have a great week!
Response: You are welcome--have a nice week.
Response: Did the sections stay in place during shipping? I was worried they would not. You are as always most welcome. Also, I am doing much better. The back injection took about one week to fully kick in but it did. I'm relatively pain free, given that I have RA, OA, and Fibromyalgia. I'm really never entirely pain free but am at a point where it no longer is making my waking hours miserable! That's considerable improvement since last October! Hope you are having a good week-end.
Response: I am happy that you liked it. I always wonder if I'm making something that is just right for my partner. My "Tim Holtz" style may not always work for some swap partners. Have a nice week-end!
Response: As always, you are more than welcome. Isn't that plane amazingly cute. It is from an Asian board game from the 1940's that I found on E-Bay. I get CHEAP ephemera of all sorts there--some items get too expensive but if I just hang around a bit, I usually find something I can use that has gotten no attention. Hope are having a great week!
Response: You are more than welcome--I enjoyed creating them. Have a nice week-end!
Response: I am glad you like the extras and the ATC--I really enjoy thinking through my ideas for ATCs since space is limited yet open enough to do something unusual as well. Enjoy the week-end!
Response: You are welcome--I'm not sure how inspiring I may be but am flattered that you think so! :-) Happy creating--let your imagination run wild sometimes--or slow it down--sometimes I have to both when attacking a specific item to create. That's what I enjoy most. Enjoy the week-end!
Response: I am glad you liked the Rolo and the extras--I have fun doing both. Rolo cards and ATCs challenge me to work with a smaller space which I want to enrich but have to curb myself from over filling it--of course, with my love of Tim Holtz's style, over filling is to be expected! Enjoy your week-end!
Response: Thanks you so much and you are most welcome--I had a great time putting that together--just suddenly was on an inspiration roll, so to speak! I really love the dimensional elements and vintage ephemera--hence, my Tim Holtz addiction! LOL The group I craft with every week thinks they need to do a T. Holtz and button hoarding intervention for me! LOL Happy Week-End!
Response: That is the challenging part--especially when I'm the third person and feel there is nothing more I can possibly add. Then, sooner or later, one idea pops into my mind and then I get on a roll. Doing the first step is also a challenge for me--how much is enough and how much is too much? Have fun with it!
Response: You are most welcome!
Response: I am happy that you liked it--NYC is my favorite city in the US--I just love going there.
Response: You are so welcome; I am glad you like it, Jennifer. As always I had fun creating it!
Response: You are most welcome and I am so glad you like it. I enjoyed making it and love combinations of buttons , ephemera, and textures. I have no artistic education, so am just putting together what seems good to me. I, too, will be seeing you soon, I hope, at the mail box!
Response: You are welcome; I'm glad you like them and hope you can use everything. Have a good week coming soon!
Response: You are so welcome and flattering! I just have so much fun making paper and altered art of all kinds. I thought I spend most of my time sewing when we retired but mainly it has been the paper arts--some of that may be caused by my hand problems and hip problems. I need more hand strength for sewing and have to get up and down to sew, press, stitch, press, etc. which is good.My hands have the strength to do the machine sewing but hurt when I use them that way. The paper and altered arts are lighter and I can do them with either hand. When I had the right hand surgery last summer, I thought I'd try scissors with left hand (thinking I was crazy) and cut right along the lines as easy as can be. I wish I'd known all my life that I am somewhat ambidextrous--my maternal grandfather definitely so. Must have a few of his genes.
Well, back to creating--looking forward to "spoiling" you again in a swap soon! Have a good week!
Response: You are welcomes; I enjoyed making it as always. Have a great week!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making the Rolo! Dr visit went OK--scheduled the trigger thumb repair for Jan. 16--should be a 2 week recovery at most--hope he's right. The lumbar spine injection is put off until the thumb surgery is out of the way. Then we will decide whether to do that injection.
Enjoy the rest of the week-end!!
Response: You are welcome--hope you can use everything I sent. This was a challenging swap for me but I don't quite know why. But thanks for the 5 and for rating!
Response: Thank you--I always especially enjoy making paper projects for animals and if I can clear away a bit from my stash that I think a swap friend might use more than I am, I send it along! Enjoy the rest of the week-end! Thanks for the heart!!!!
Response: Thanks for remembering to rate so I would be certain you received it.
Response: You are most welcome--I sure miss that Thomas yet today. He was my first totally inside cat which I'm sure is why he lived so long. I was used to being greeted with great excitement from dogs, but never from cats; but he came running the moment I put the key in the door, and then as I think I wrote, he'd wait at the door, meowing pathetically until I came home from teaching my night class. And for his entire life he slept beside me as if he were a teddy bear. He was just what I needed --I was going through a divorce with passive aggressive spouse and matching attorney. Thomas's unconditional love and attention got me through some difficult nights and week-end days! Have a great week-end!
Response: Wonderful--and you are most welcome. That's my goal for each item and envie I put together. I want my partner to feel that s/he has received something that is just right and meets their likes AND make a bright spot in the day!
Response: You are most welcome and I'm so happy that you like it. That is what's in my mind as I'm working on a creation for a partner. I want it to make them really enjoy opening that envelope!
Response: Thank you--hope it works well!
Response: You are most welcome--when I saw robots, I thought of Nate and wished he were old enough to help make the ATC--actually, I don't want him getting that old so fast! He goes to kindergarten next fall--what will do without his Fridays with us???? Anyway, I am so happy that you enjoy the card--I had fun finding the robots clip art, but found what I liked! Have a great week-end when it gets here!
Response: Thanks--for a while I was really stumped on finding a fabric; finally I went back to Jo Ann's and asked for help--she took me to a stash of 6-8 bolts of Texas cowboy fabric! Then I couldn't decide which one you'd like best! I liked that one so went with it!--so I'm glad you love it! Have a wonderful week!
Response: Thank you for the rating and comment--I hope you enjoyed the recycled card; I try to put all I can into my swaps! Just now I'm fighting a number of painful health issues, so I'm just happy to have a 5. Sometimes I can out-do myself cuz I'm not in pain; other times, the pain puts a damper on my creativity. I just choose to keep on creating as that takes my mind away from my pains for a few hours at least! May everything in 2013 be a blessing for you and those whom you are close to!
Response: Your flattery will get you everything! :-) I do LOVE working with the embellishments--getting most of them on EBay for much less that hobby stores. That old dictionary got a good workout the term when I took that sophomore French lit class--I was the only non-French major, so the prof was a little gentler in grading the essays I wrote. Thought it was going to be my first C ever for a class, but squeaked by with a B! None of that, however, should suggest that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, right? Have a great week!
Response: I'm glad to know you received this swap; thank you for rating!
Response: You are welcome---I enjoyed making the cards and deciding on the recipes to send. I hope you also have a blessed New Year!
Response: The snowflake dangle is one of my treasures from a huge, cheap box of old jewelry I found on E-Bay! My daughter says I've turned into Tim Holtz--I asked why--she said that's where he goes to get his ephemera! I didn't know that at all. But I'm glad to know I'm in good company! :-) Have a Happy New Year, my friend!
Response: Thank you and you are most welcome--I'm so happy that you like it as I try as much as possible to match my creation with the profile info about the person to whom I am sending! Have a wonderful New Year!
Response: Thank you so much--as always, I have lots of fun creating each item I send out. I get great joy out make something for someone that is just what I hope they will enjoy!
How much snow did the storm dump on you? Have a happy New Year!
Response: You are welcome--I am happy that you liked it!
Response: I'm happy that you enjoy it! Have a great New Year!
Response: I hope you have a splendid holiday and that what I send matches the value of the wooden bobbins. Hubby and I exchanged our gifts tonight--took a few paper arts items up to my art room and discovered a brand new Cricut Expression 2 sitting on my working table! He REALLY surprised me for I don't know how many times!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to find out if I can make it do anything at all since I'm not all that Cricut savvy yet! Merry Christmas, my friend!
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the heart! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making it (for me, that's the best part of Swap-Bot)! I'm getting to the point of having nowhere to use many of the things I want to make, so sharing them here on Swap-Bot is perfect! Merry Christmas!
Response: Thanks for the heart--you are generous about that! I hope you have a splendid holiday!
Response: You really don't need to heart for sending something for you mom. I just wish mine was that cognizant about anything. So it was a joy to send something for her. I'm glad you also enjoyed the postcard. As always, the best part for me is making the items and trying to match them to my partner! Merry Christmas!
Response: Katie, I'm so happy that you like it! As always I had fun making it! I'll look for your PM. Would you be interested in a private swap sometime?
Response: So happy that you like it-I had fun making it. A private swap would be great. Should we set up something for after the holiday rush?
Response: You are welcome--it is a new die I got on sale at Hobby Lobby. If you'd like, we could do a private swap exchanging some die cuts I'd make for you for something you might send from my profile wish list and favorite things. Let me know if you'd like to do that.
Response: I will try to keep you in my prayers--keep in touch about how you are doing.
Response: You are most welcome---i have hadyears of practice. Happy holidays!
Response: You are welcome Jackie---i did not get as much crackle as I had hoped. I need to practice a bit!
Response: You are welcome--I had fun making it.Merry CHRISTMAS!
Response: I'm so happy that you like the Rolo and the key. I found several at a very dusty attic/flea market close to my house. And I found a huge lot of mixed keys--more routine ones than skeleton, but at least a few. Others can definitely be used for vintage and steam punk creations. Enjoy the holidays! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you like what I cut. The embossed ones are from Core'dinations paper, so if you sand them the white core will show and you can ink over them for an interesting effect. But I like them just as is also. I forgot to tell you about that when I packaged them to send.
Thanks for the heart! Have a great holiday season!
Response: I am happy you enjoy it--I enjoyed making it as always. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--and thank you for the heart! Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--I I enjoyed picking out some things I thought you'd enjoy. We are actually having temps in the 80's here, but a cold front is supposedly coming for next week. Merry Christmas!
Response: You are welcome--happy that you like it--always hope to make my item something my partner will love!
Have a great holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome and I can understand how items get lost--it's happened to me! At least you are enjoying it now! I didn't even realize I hadn't been rated--so not a big deal! Happy Holidays!
Response: You are very welcome! I love making my items and then finding out that my friend/partner enjoyed them. That's the best part of swapping although I do love a day with lots of mail surprises as well.
Merry Christmas!
Response: Yes, I considered trying to just take them to you, but with the hip pain problem, decided not to get out. I'm glad you enjoyed what I sent. But, did you really have to pay more postage? If so, please tell me so I can be sure that does NOT happen again!
Response: Thank you--I enjoy our swapping with each other as well. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: Greatest may be a slight exaggeration! But I love hearing it anyway! :-) Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: You are quite welcome--have a splendid Christmas season!
Response: I'm glad you like them--I love the bird cages! Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--I enjoyed making the items and matching some things to your profile for a little "holiday" extra!
Response: You are very welcome; as always I love making each item and coming up with new ideas and techniques. Isn't retirement a blessing?
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making the skinny and finding some extras that seemed just right for you! Have a delightful holiday season!
Response: I am so happy you enjoyed it! I always have fun coming up with the ideas and implementing them. Hope you have a splendid holiday season!
Response: I am happy that you liked it; I'm really enjoying making these dresses and hope the swap continues into 2013.
Response: You are more than welcome! I had fun with the ATCs and with finding the little things in my stash that fit your profile--giving to others is so fulfilling and more fun than receiving for me! My hubby and kids nag me at Christmas because I'm not opening my packages but watching them opening what I hope is just the right thing for them! Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are very welcome! I'm glad you enjoy all of the things so much. That makes the fun of making the ATC and card and picking out some goodies to match your profile even more fun than when I did it! Have the best ever holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome. I glad you enjoyed it. Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome; I'm glad you enjoy what I created and sent. I'd love to hear back from you soon. Have a terrific Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: Just sent you a message in response to your post on my profile. I apologize REALLY a lot! I get frustrated when others do that to me--keeps us all human I think. I will try not to repeat the mistakes! Thanks for your patience--and for the heart which I don't really deserve under the circumstances!
Response: I had a great time making the box and may have to make more of any size or shape as Christmas gifts. I'm happy you like the things I chose!
Response: Well, I think she is, but then am probably JUST a TINY bit biased! I was a bit stumped for something interesting beginning with an N when I realized she was a Niece-- my perfect choice for the N challenge! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Response: You are quite welcome--I'm glad you like it as I wasn't sure I was pleased with end result but had to send it to make the deadline. I do put considerable time and effort into all my swaps, but I'm retired so can afford to do so. Besides I'm learning and trying out new methods and materials so am having a great time and learning something all in one. Have a splendid holiday season!
Response: You are most welcome! I'm glad the pictures brought a smile to your face and heart. I was stumped for something to make you "laugh out loud," so decided to go with bringing a smile to your face and heart. Rissa and Nate are my best loved little ones! I don't know what I'd do if they moved away and couldn't visit us every Friday! They definitely light up my life! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: Thanks, Jackie--I think they are adorable for sure but then I may be just a bit prejudiced, do you think? I'm glad the ATCs made you smile--I just wasn't thinking of anything for an outright laugh and didn't have time to waste waiting for a brilliant idea. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: You are most welcome; I had SO MUCH FUN as I worked to pull together the decorating of this box. I did another cross shaped one immediately after this one for a "Send Me a Cross" swap. I hadn't thought about a cross-shaped box until I discovered them at JoAnn's where all shapes and sizes of paper mache boxes are only $1! I'm going to make one for my daughter's stocking gift and DEFINITELY on to keep as my own! Have a splendid Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: I am so pleased that you enjoyed my "Adventures with Baxter and Elsa" letter. That Bax is so busy--we never know what he's going to do next while Elsa is quietly hiding or snuggled into a pile of Nate's cars or in Rissa's cardboard box baby doll bed! Have a splendid Thanksgiving holiday!
Response: Thank you Jackie-- and you are welcome. Did I get the background technique done correctly? I was not completely happy with what I got--on my 3rd try but had to send them to meet deadline. It's a technique I suspect I need to practice as I like it but want to improve it. I know you can use the items I sent--getting amazing bargains on buttons, old games, vintage keys, etc. on EBay lately--makes Tim Holtz on a budget--and they are authentic ephemera as well!
Take care, my friend!
Response: She is an amazing dog with both the cats and kids. We hate to accept that she is soon going to be 12 years old and her time with us may not be too long as that is pretty old for a large dog breed, she's doing well right now. Have a great weekend!
Response: i'm glad you like the ATC--It took me three tries before I got the results I thought worked well enough. It is a technique I must practice more. I lived in Stafford in the Meadows subdivision from 1977-1989 and then in Sugar Land for a while. Now I'm in the Clear Lake area. What a coincidence! Have a nice week-end!
Response: So glad you liked them--as you say, they do stretch our imaginations to find workable, meaningful items and try new techniques. I'm enjoying twinchies also and have just started on some Rolo swaps in three different sizes. I LOVE the way the alcohol fall colors worked on the acrylic leaves--anxious to try some Christmas colors on ATCs or as part of a card or to use on a scrapbook page. Holiday blessings to you and yours! Thanks for the heart also!
Response: I'm so pleased that you enjoy them and thanks for the heart!I had a good time picking out the cards I hoped you might enjoy! Hope you have the best of holiday seasons--hard to believe Thanksgiving is coming so soon! Best wishes--PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome--thank you for responding 'cuz I love knowing I've sent something my partner really enjoys. Making the swaps and, if I have some items, including a few that match my partner is kind of like having Christmas all year long. My hubby and kids will tell you that I get engrossed in watching them open my surprises for them that they have to NAG me to take my turn and open a package! What can I say--I love making and finding just the right thing to give to someone. That's the joy I love! Have a blessed holiday season!
Response: i'm glad you enjoy it--I had fun creating the leaves. Blessings for the holiday season!
Response: I'm happy you enjoyed them--the cookies are easy and delicious, definitely my father's favorite cooking all year round. We started making it look like Christmas by rolling ball of dough in red and / or green sprinkle sugars. They are a crisp but chewy cookie! Have a blessed holiday season!
Response: You are welcome--for my first rolo I was pretty much happy with the finished product, but I want to keep stretching my skills and creativity for more rolos and other items. I LOVE buttons and have a zillion from cheap, huge packages of them on EBay! Take care!
Response: You are welcome--I enjoyed putting the swap together, and I have more than enough buttons to share!
Response: You are most welcome, and I'm so happy that you liked what I created and sent. I always fun with every swap--making it and if possible adding just a little something that fits my partner's profile. I cannot always do so and do not do it for bonus rating---It's just that it is fun to give someone an item they like. For me that's the best part of Christmas. My family is always making me open my packages when I'd prefer watching to see their response to something I chose because I thought it would make them happy! Giving is part of what I love about Swap-Bot! Have a good week!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making each item. Thanks for the encouragement for my hand recovery; it is taking so long and the hip tendinitis that began about a month ago has made things worse. Hugs back to you as well!
Response: I am happy that you liked them all. Have a great week!
Response: You are quite welcome--I had fun creating the ATC with no gears! I've had great luck getting authentic vintage items at one little "attic type shop" just minutes from our house and on Ebay--lots of vintage items have come from there--have to pick and choose to keep in my "low budget" Tim Holtz vintage/shabby chic style. I'm happy you liked it and thanks for the heart!
Response: You are more than welcome--I'm glad you liked the card! I had fun creating it--thanks also for the heart rating!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making the card for you--thats what I love here on Swap Bot--being able to at least try to create something your partner will enjoy receiving. That verse made a world of difference in my life, and my mother asked how I was able to sleep alone at night after my father died. I shared that verse with her but never really knew if she claimed it for herself or not. I was paralyzed and sleepless for so many weeks until I claimed that verse in prayer and totally conquered that fear!
God is AMAZING ISN'T HE? Thanks for adding the heart as well!
Response: You are very welcome; as always I enjoyed making them as special as possible. I REALLY enjoy paper arts and am happy you like the bookmark. I have so many post-its from my campus office after clearing it out when I retired. I kept finding them everywhere it seemed!
Response: You are more than welcome--as always I had fun making ii and hoping it will be something you like. Enjoy the coming week-end!
Response: You are welcome! I was amazed to have a swap so close; I had a couple in Austin but never Houston! Enjoy the coming weekend!
Response: Yes--I love Tim's little bird house very much--was first one I bought since the dies are so pricey. It has taken me a long time to build up a few dies because of that. I'm glad you enjoy it!
Response: You are welcome--I am glad you like them.
Response: You are more than welcome--the jewelry is "dismembered" from a vintage necklace I found at a flea market/antique shop just 5 minutes from my house. If I'm remembering correctly, I probably sent you some rusty old keys, right? I bought a FULL old cigar box full of keys for about $20 on Ebay--really beats the price for Tim Holtz key packets and are more genuine vintage! I'm bidding on some more keys and some buttons as well. At the prices there, I can afford Tim Holtz style on a low budget and have items to share with Swap-Bot partners that I could not afford otherwise. I do TIM on a BUDGET and love it! Have a great week--tomorrow is Hump Day--only two more days until the week-end! I'm retired now, and every day is like a Saturday--except I don't have student essays to grade on those "Saturdays"--I was an English prof at a community college, teaching freshman composition most of the time! Miss the classroom and SOME students but not those huge stacks of essays to read and score!
Response: I'm glad you like them as I had fun making them--my first twinchies! They are as challenging as inchies, even though your have more space to work with. Have a great week!
Response: I am happy that you like it--I always have fun making all my swap items and hope they are just right for my swap partner. The retreat was great--and yes, more talk than crafting--but that's part of the going for me. We had a two-page layout contest: we each received fabric with two "quilt" squares and had to use something from both squares in our layout. I won third place! Since I haven't been doing this very long, I was really happy about that! Hope you have a good week! P.S. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are most welcome--hope he enjoys the sticker surprise when the time comes!
Response: Thank you--Mother would be blest to know you have that little reminder of her love of the Lord!
Response: I'm pleased you like the bird--he evolved gradually and had me a bit stumped at first. Then I remembered the Ranger Liquid Pearls I hadn't tried yet and decided to give them a go even if I had to ditch it all and start over. But I began liking the look I was getting and finished it. I understand not having creative time--I felt the same way before I retired!
Response: You are welcome and happy that you liked the twinchies--it was my first ones, so I wasn't sure just how to work with the space limitations. Keep well and happy!
Response: You are so welcome--making the ATC was fun; I also really liked the way the colors worked--I don't always get quite the look I'm expecting. The buttons and vintage keys were quite inexpensive items from EBay. I got a vintage cigar box FULL of keys for about $15. I have LOTS of keys!
Response: Great! I'm happy you like it--I always hope that I'm getting something just right for my partners. Have a great week!
Response: You are most welcome--I had fun experimenting with the new technique and have a couple friends who saw the ATCs and have asked me to make one for them. Hope we are together in another swap soon!
Response: I had fun picking out the items for you--I've had great luck finding vintage keys, button, old music and magazines, even an old photo album on Ebay--CHEAP way to do Tim Holtz style!
Response: Thank you--we think they are! We've had problems getting a photo of them in their "just get the spot over here . . . please" mode on the back deck. I got these pictures when Bailey was out with me and either Nate or Rissa in the sandbox. I'm pleased you like them! Have a great week!
Response: I'm pleased that you like it because I had a great time making it. I love experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques as that stretches my skills and challenges me to reach further into my creative skills! I'm not sure it's a "masterpiece," but am delighted you think it is! :-)
Response: You are very welcome; I liked that technique and am going to play with it more to improve results and to see how it can be varied. I'm glad the little extras can get good use as well.
Response: You are very welcome! I had fun figuring out how to make a keychain from some kind of paper! I always like handmade if possible. I'm glad you like the buttons; I am collecting them--more than I can ever use, but just as a hobby kind of collection. I've found some amazing packages of buttons on Ebay--especially vintage ones and display them in my art room in canning jars, an antique glass container, and an apothecary jar with wooden lid that I made and painted years ago when tole painting was so popular! Have a terrific week-end!.
Response: You are most welcome--I always enjoy making TH style items!
Response: You are most welcome! I don't know exactly what I did different, but this was a new technique for me and I'm liking it. The use of embossing folder comes from a Tim style class at a local scrapbooking shop a year or so ago. I did gain many skills and techniques from Tim himself at four week-end classes I attended in the Dallas area last April and from his online Chemistry 101 class I did last March, I think it was. Don't give up--just have fun practicing and experimenting!
Response: You are most welcome--hope you are having a great Saturday!
Response: I glad you enjoy them and look forward to more swaps ahead.
Retirement has been wonderful for us--loving every minute of it! Hope you get there soon!
Response: I am so happy you like them--let me know what you come up with from your "dissections"!
Response: You are most welcome--as always, I had fun creating it! We, too, had changed only the dining room color in nearly 20 years--I was finding what really was pretty at the time but is now lacking that zing/pzazz! I'm SO happy the way our color choices work so well together. I'd never done more than choose a color for one room, so coordinating every room successfully was quite a challenge. The Sherwin-Williams designer (free) changed our main color to a much bolder, deeper golden yellow, and then everything easily fell into place! Ron should be finished by tomorrow!
Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed it--obviously it was fun for me!
As for the hands--injections worked for me for at least 6 years or more. The left thumb just started presenting symptoms last winter and has responded wonderfully to two injections. The surgery is not as hard as expected initially, but full healing and physical therapy take MUCH longer--I'm at 10 weeks and just getting minor physical therapy with strengthening work not started for another month!. Therapist keeps saying that I WILL be glad I did the surgery and that I should notice significant improvement when I get past the third month. Take care!
PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome-I have great fun doing all my swaps and thinking about what my partner might like best!
PeggyO
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the note and my little Nate and Rissa--they are the light of my life!
PeggyO
Response: I am so happy that the ATC and extras were just right for you! I have so much fun making them and just like to include little extras if I have some available that seem to match my partner's profile! I'm glad to know you had a great day with my little package!
PeggyO
Response: Becky, I'm glad you enjoyed the Tim Holtz style ATC--have fun with the extras I included. I had the privilege of taking four classes with Tim one week-end last April! He is amazing and just an"ordinary" person who considered all of us in the classes as the same sort of artists that he is! I'm hoping to get to at least one more class when he comes to the Dallas area because I can get FREE bed and board at my daughter's and join her and her paper art friends who have become MY paper art friends also. I'm just known as MOM to her friends and my son's friends as well in Manhattan, KS. I always wanted lots of kids but could only have two, so all their friends who call me "MOM" add up to a large number of "kids"! I'm HAPPY!
Response: Great! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Have a great week!
Response: I had fun making the ATC and picking out the extras. I found several old keys at a flea market less than 5 minutes from our house. Then I bought a whole cigar box of old keys and locks, et
on eBay very cheap--and shipped in one of those "if it fits, it ships" boxes so cheap postage. More keys may come your way! Hugs--Peggy
Response: I'm glad you like it--I always have fun making ATCs! Yes, dementia is a cruel disease and being 1000 miles away makes it difficult. I am constantly doing brain-building games and activities such as getting back my ability to read French, etc. since research says that active learning and use of brain seems to be a significant preventive for any form of dementia. I do fear that it is genetic, but have to focus on keeping body and brain in best condition possible. The rest is in God's hands, and He is always with me!
Have a good week!--PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome! I had fun making them and look forward to future swaps!
Response: You are most welcome--I hope the items I chose are all things you can enjoy and use!
Response: You are SO welcome--your package or stamps was out-standing! I'm thinking of something special to send your way just because of it!
Response: His four classes were amazing and he is so friendly and "ordinary"--not at all arrogant about his popularity. My daughter, her friends, and I had an amazing week-end! They had all been to a week-end of classes with Tim, but this was my first. I hope it will not be my last!
Response: I'm happy that you liked it! Have a great week and many of God's blessings!
Response: You are most welcome! That package got to the UK very rapidly! I've come across some genuine vintage ephemera from flea market and Ebay which I'd have added if I hadn't already mailed you package--we must swap again!
Response: You are most welcome! I'm glad it made it to you this time!
Response: You are welcome I really enjoyed making it!
Response: Thanks so much--I think he us, but I'm just a bit prejudiced about that.
Response: you are welcome! Ihad fun learning the new technique and LOVE it!
Response: You are welcome!
Response: I am glad you enjoyed it. I was a bit dubious about the pocket, so thanks for letting me know so I can figure out a better attachment method.
Response: I'm glad you like them! I had great fun creating the wax paper resist (my first try) and will start using it often! The note card with bookmark was made by a Swap-Bot partner. I think it is terrific and took a photo so I can re-create it! Enjoy the week-end when it gets here! My hand surgery is tomorrow a.m., so I'll not be swapping for a few weeks--that's going to be hard to survive--not paper art and no sewing for at least 2 weeks most likely! :-)
Response: I'm glad you like it and had fun making it. I"m a Tim Holtz "fanatic" and used his products and techniques on it. Have a good week-end when it gets here. Hand surgery is tomorrow! Ready to get it behind me!
Response: I'm so glad you like it and had fun making it! Swap-Bot items are a bit like having Christmas all year long! I love the making and sending of items and the receiving. Most of the fun is in trying to make something that I hope fits just right with my partner's profile. Happy Week-end!
Response: You are most welcome! I have fun making them and choosing a few little extras, as well.
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed creating it and look forward to making many more. I'm going to be "out of pocket" for about six weeks for right hand carpal tunnel and arthritic thumb repair beginning some time after July 5. I'll be keeping watch on Swap-Bot and will begin joining new swaps as soon as I'm allowed that kind of use of my hand. Have a great 4th of July holiday!
Response: I'm SO happy that you enjoyed it! I had a great time creating it! I love everything Tim Holtz which I put into creating this ATC! Happy July 4!
Response: You are welcome--I'm glad you can use the envelopes!
Response: I'm glad your enjoyed them! My kids and I loved the sharing the Paddington Bear books for our read-aloud times which were at least three times a day! They both were reading on their own before kindergarten!
Response: You are most welcome--this was my first creation of this type and had fun with it. I think I'm making more to use as a banner in my paper craft studio--a real luxury to have! I have a room just for that and another, much larger, for my sewing studio! I am blessed with the space--seems much bigger than the two of us need, but we use every room every week!
Have a great week-and an even better week-end!
Response: You are most welcome--I enjoyed making it. This is so much fun--making something as special as possible for a partner, knowing she enjoyed it and getting a great item in return!
Response: I'm so happy you enjoy its--I have fun creating it!
Response: You are most welcome--I had fun creating it as with any Tim Holtz type of project!
Response: You are so welcome--I really had fun creating it! I love making little booklets/albums like that. Have a great week!
PeggyO
Response: I am so happy that you liked it--everyone has different tastes, so I always hope to make my swaps match my partner as best I can. I love sharing my extra goodies, most of which come from the $1 bins at JoAnn's and Michael's. Have a great week! PeggyO
Response: You are welcome--I find lots of great items in JoAnn's $1 bins here in Houston. I'm always amazed at what they have in those bins. I'm glad you enjoyed the ATC and goodies! PeggyO
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it as I had fun creating it! Thanks for remembering to rate, no matter what time. Mostly, I just want to know you received it and enjoyed it! Have a great week-end!
PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome--glad you like them and hope you can put them to good use! Have a great week-end!
PeggyO
Response: You are most welcome--the swap fun is in knowing I made something my partner truly enjoyed. Hibiscus plants grow so easily here in the Houston area whether in blazing sun by a pool at one house where I lived or in a part sunny and part shady yard or deck. The one I photographed for the ATC in one our deck and has been blooming its heart out for weeks! Have a great week-end!
PeggyO
Response: Isn't it? I really enjoyed making this ATC. Have a great week.
Response: You are most welcome! i'm glad you enjoyed the postcard. Have a great week!
Response: I'm so glad they got to you. I didn't send them every week because I thought it would take much more postage. I don't to prick and stitch well AT ALL! It's on my "Things to Learn" list!!!!!!
Response: You are most welcome. I had so much fun creating the ATC--that's my favorite part of Swap-Bot--well, getting fun thing in the mail rather than just bills and junk is fun as well! Hope we meet up again in another swap!
Response: You are most welcome! I always have such fun creating the things to swap--that may be more fun than getting things in the mail! :-)
Response: You are most welcome! I do the extras because I have fun--that's what I in SwapBot to experience. Yeah, Tim Holtz in person was an amazing opportunity. My photo for my SwapBot account is me with Tim at the classes. Have a great week-end!
Response: You are most welcome--the colors were just a guess so I'm delighted that I got them just right. I love making things with paper and fabric, especially when I can send of give them to someone else!
Response: You are most welcome--I really LOVE Tim Holtz. He is my fave paper artist.
Response: You are most welcome--I'm glad you like it!
Response: You are quite welcome. I just happened to have that lovely hibiscus in full bloom when this swap came up. Have a great rest of the week and an even better week-end!
Response: Pat--you are most welcome! The Tim Holtz classes were amazing and wonderful! I'm hoping I can attend at least one more class in the future!
Response: You are most welcome! I'm glad the items I chose were just right for you. That's the most fun part of Swap-Bot for me: reading a profile and trying as best I can to send items that clearly match that profile. Giving the "just right" item is far more delightful that receiving such an item!
Response: You are more than welcome--when it comes to Tim Holtz, I am in heaven with his products, techniques, and creations. I was lucky enough to join my daughter and her paper crafting friends to attend his four week-end classes in the Dallas area late in April. It was an AMAZING experience! He is so friendly and personable and down to earth--not at all arrogant artist type! I have autographed apron, name tag, and vol. 2 of Compendium of Curiosities, and a photo of me with him! I'll keep all of them forever!
Response: You are most welcome! Tim Holtz in my fave paper/multimedia artist and product designer. I joined my daughter and her friends late in April to attend his weekend of four classes in the Dallas area. It was an AMAZING experience! Have a photo of me with him, autographed apron, and autographed copy of his vol. 2 Compendium of Curiosities--autographed name tag also!
Response: You are most welcome! I am so glad you like the items I chose for your package--that's the part I enjoy most with swaps--coming up with things to match my partner's preferences and interests as best I can. Enjoy!
Response: I so happy that you liked the ribbon; picking out something that seems to match my partner's profile is the fun for me with Swap-Bot! Yeah, it's fun getting the evnies and packages in the mail, but finding that I sent the right items to my new found partner/friend is the most fun of all Have a great week!
PeggyO
Response: I happy they enjoyed them--I had fun picking out items. The water balloons were easy, and in retrospect, I should have sent 3 mice packets so they all have three. I may still do that since I think I'm going back to get the mice for my Nathaniel. Have a great new week as it begins tomorrow. I hope we end up partners in another swap sometime!

Response: You are most welcome--all of you! I'm glad you like the ATC! I really enjoy making them!
Response: You are so welcome--it's the time making items that is the best part of Swap-Bot! Well, getting all the surprises in the mail is great as well, but enjoying the art and thinking of ways to match the receiver's profile info is special. It's like Christmas--I like most of all to watch others open their gifts to enjoy the delight in their faces. My family always stops and makes me open a couple packages instead of watching them! God grant you a blessed week!
Response: You are most welcome, Emily. I love matching as best I can the information in one's profile the best I possibly can. I have more of the glittery letters--I love them on kids' scrapbook pages especially. And yes, retirement is delightful! I never dreamed we'd get to it as easily as we did. Have a great week!
Response: I had a great time making it--had just started on it when I went to Dallas to join my daughter and her friends for a week-end of four Tim Holtz classes. He is amazing and so humble and pleasant--just joined in with us as if we were artists as much as he is. Then I was REALLY inspired to finish your journal. Glad you enjoy it!
Response: I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the whole package-that the best part of swapping for me--finding that I succeeded in creating or finding something is just right for my partner!

Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the items! I so love Tim's techniques and supplies and have learned most of what I do from my daughter and her crop group in the Dallas area--they've been to two of his week-end sessions in Dallas. I also watch his videos on You Tube. I probably used his Distress Ink to stamp and then sprinkled with either one of his Distress Powders to match color our use an embossing powder from Stampendous. Once you sprinkle it on you need to use a heat tool ( about $10) to make it shine (Stampendous) or softly puff and gloss if it was his distress powder. It's an easy strategy that I love to use.
Would you be interested in becoming pen pals by any chance--sending each other new ides and strategies we learn and using our homemade cards and stationary? I'd sure love doing that if you are interested! Just let me know!

P.S. Thanks for the Etsy info; that makes me more willing to get started posting a few items! Need to come up with a clever shop name, too.
