Comment: Thank you Simone. I enjoyed reading your answers! What beautiful lyrics! That is right on point. This study was a good wake up call for me as well to check myself if I'm acting Christ-like. Sorry about your exam but as you know God has a plan in all this. Keep on keeping on!! Hugs!
Comment: Thank you for your study Simone! I enjoyed reading from you. James 1:2-3 is a good one. James doesn't beat around the bush much does he? :) It's comforting to read that through the hard times God is working on us and it's not all for nothing! God bless you!
Comment: This is a good reminder for me. I tend to always be busy (somehow) as well. It reminds me of Martha being busy in the kitchen while Mary was spending time with the Lord. I pray for both of us we would know what's truly important and take time to slow down. It's easiest to hear God when we are not going 100 miles a minute :) Love that picture too. How appropriate!
Comment: Interesting blog post! I will have to try some of these same principles in my cleaning so I can start getting a bit more done then what I had before! Haven't quite jumped on the train but I'm not that far away from the tracks either!
Comment: I love your photos they look so yummy but I have to say you got me in trouble ;-) my husband was sitting with me when I opened the email and after he saw the attached recipe and the photo his question was "When you going to make those for me". I guess this coming weekend I will be trying your recipe out. He thanks you bunches because he has a sweet tooth. Thanks for everything.
Comment: oh what a sweet (pun intended!) idea for your swap photo! The recipe sounds delish and the photos made my mouth water! Just lovely! Hope you are enjoying your holiday! thanks so much for sharing! ~hugs~ :)
Comment: oh how lovely these images are! i wish i was better at photographing people...AND that i had some little kids to take out & practice with! Thank you so much for sharing these very pretty, touching photos! Happy swapping & ahooting!
Comment: There is a wistfulness about this image which suggests a timelessness. If only the clothing had been equally timeless in design and shape (since the colouring is simple and attractive when sepia-ized), this would create an even more effective 'vintage' feel. Lovely textures in the hair especially!
Comment: Wow, I want to start baking right away! Love the texture, depth and color! Perfect pictures, you should start a food blog (or maybe not, there are so many of those already...). Do you use a tripod to get your pictures so sharp?
Comment: Thank you for your insights. I would love to see more of your personal thoughts next time instead of an overview. It's always so interesting to hear why people think and feel certain ways about Scripture :-)
Comment: I loved your photos! Thank you for sending two! Your daughter is adorable, even when "melancholy". Very sweet little girl. You take great pictures. Thank you for participating in this swap! :)
Comment: Sorry for the late rating, I wanted to make sure I found the time to read through everything in the email! Thank you for teaching me so much about your culture! I particularly thought the De la Rey song was very thought-provoking!
Comment: I really enjoyed your thoughtful selections. You took considerable time in your selections and it shows. I read your selected poetry first thing this morning & it woke me better than any coffee could. You opted for thought-provoking poetry with vivid imagry. I will definitely be reading these again.
Response: Thank you. I decided in the beginning of the week to work on this swap. It was fun to put together.
Comment: I loved some of your songs! Grease is one of my favorite movies! :) I also really liked 10 Things I Hate About You also. Thanks for sharing your favorites! :) Now I am on a Grease kick listening to all the songs on YouTube hehe :)
Comment: Great way to swap pictures. Everything was so neat and beautiful.
If there is anyway I can get a print of the picture that you took of the gate with the colorful trees and stuff. I would love to have a copy. Let me know.
Comment: Thank you for the visit and comment on my blog. I know that because it's in French, it is not easy to see where you can subscribe, I replied under your comment if you want to see. BTW, thank you for coming =)
Comment: Thanks again. Not sure i should be happy about your send....lol....you've opened up a new world on the computer for me. Oh dear! more time on the computer. That should make the hubby happy.......lol......cl
Comment: Ooo Simone thank you so much for all the postcards & the window shamrock. So cute!!! Thank you so much for sharing your "island" with me :) Have a great weekend!!!
ps - I squealed when I saw the beauty & the beast sticker!!!
Comment: This was such a romantic swap. One I really anticipated. As it turned out I am rather disappointed. I hate rating a 3, I give you a 5 and the benefit of the doubt.
Response: Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt. I would have re-sent it sooner if I realized you had not gotten my e-mail on the 9 Feb. I had done more than the swap requirements, I wanted it to be special.
Comment: Thank you for your pictures! I have always wanted to visit Ireland and I'm very envious of you getting to live there. I love your house! There is nothing even remotely like that where I live. Most of the houses around here are brick and they don't have such strong lines on the front.
Comment: Thank you so much Simone - I hope you reach your goals this year! You certainly put a lot of effort into envisioning the process and the result, and that provides so much motivation. Good luck!
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful photos and all of the extra pictures =] I'm trying to leave a heart right now but it's not letting me for some reason, but I will try to edit it later. Thanks again! <3
Response: Thank you. I love doing these swaps and sharing.
Comment: Thanks so much for sharing your favorite group with me. I think I've heard of them but never before took the time to listen to their songs and I'm so glad you gave me the opportunity to. I love their songs. I'm listening to them now. It's exactly the sound I like. Also, that's a great way to share files. I didn't know about that. Thanks again. I'm enjoying very much. :)
Response: I am glad. I just sent the mp3 as something extra
Comment: Thank you so much for the letter, the DVD and bracelet! It reminded me of my time in Durban! I didn't have time to check out the DVD yet but I'll let you know when I do! Thanks for a great swap! :o)
Comment: I received your package yesterday Simone , what a beautiful family you have!! I was amazed by the CD. Loved the music, documentary, pictures of your town... well everything!!! such a wonderful swap, thanks from the bottom of my heart. P.S = I think I can say now the colours with quite a good pronunciation :) I had trouble with orange first but not now. I totally agree with you it's a colourful language and SO interesting. I can't wait to visit the place itself one day.
Comment: I know this was an email swap but you above and beyond with the link and the extra songs. Thank you for opening a window into your soul and letting me peek in! What a beautiful person you are!
Comment: Thanks for the mix and extras (lyrics, etc.). Next time though you should try to put all songs in a folder and zip it before you upload. This makes the uploading/downloading process easier... because you have just 1 file.
Response: Sorry about that - I thought it automatically sent as one file - I learn more everyday - thank for the heart rating.
Comment: Thank you so much for a wonderful swap. Your affirmations were really beautiful and creative- I am going to pin them up where I can see them everyday. I appreciate the recipes and sachets. Are your relatives from South Africa? Thank you for everything!
Response: I am from South Africa - only been in Northern Ireland for 4 months now. My husband is working here.
My extended family is still in SA.
Comment: Thanks for sharing ~ I totally agree that with eswaps you do not feel as disappointed if you get flaked on ~ you may get a bit down but it is not "Dang I really poured myself into that swap but got sip in return" :0)
Comment: Simone: I LOVED the list you put together. It was fascinating reading all of the facts for each day on the printout. I've yet to jump into the flash drive, but can't wait. Also, the writer's affirmations and activity sheets are awesome.
Comment: That was sooooo cool!!!!! I love the story of Joseph!!!! it's one of my favourites!!!!!!
Response: Thanks for rating so quickly. That was a fun swap - next we should do a song or movie?? what do you think? I like on-line swaps. It takes a bit of time but it also broadens ones skills and you can enjoy your work while sharing it.
Comment: I love your blog!!!!!! I have read it before but its like seeing an old friend - its still the same but different in a way.
I am glad the house move went well even if you couldnt find the custard powder!!!(Did you get my email?!?)
Comment: Wow Simone! Thank you so very much for all the extra goodies you sent along with your list. :) You made my day a bit brighter! I hope your fears will quietly disappear and you life will be brighter. I wish you joy & happiness. :)
Comment: Oh how beautiful! I love the song "Sunrise, Sunset" as well, I played the saxophone part when we staged "Fiddler on the Roof" at my school. Thanks for the wonderful slide show and your blog link!
Response: That's great - I wish I played an instrument.
Comment: Ike says thank you Jeandre for the nice letter! He would like to write back if that's OK. What a great picture you drew:) and thankyou for the interesting postcard, the cool stickers, the pretty photo, and Ike liked the bird stamps on the envelope too!
Comment: Thank you so much for the postcards, photos and stickers. Kristen was very excited about it, well both kids were. She has been reading all about South Africa since receiving. She is trying to locate exactly where you are. Since collecting postcards she has become very interested in geography. Thank you so much for doing this. She is one happy little girl. :o) Oh and thank you for the brochure on the elephant park. I would love to visit there one day. ~Thanks again!~
Comment: Thank you so much for the list, recipes and postcards!! I had a great time reading your list. You seem like a very interesting person. I am also going to make some sousboontjies tonight. Have you received mine yet? I sent it on April 3rd but I know the mail may take awhile to get to South Africa.
Comment: Love the post cards! Great work on creating some film cards.
I have seen Grease many times too! I still love that film. I have seen those other films too except for Tsotsi but it's on my list to see films.
Happy Spring Time!
Response: I am impressed that it got to you so quickly.
We are going into autumn.
Comment: Thanks! I've never seen Fiddler on a roof, but then again I haven't seen most classics! Thank you for the tea and calender :) Maybe the other letter will show up eventually. I once got a package from Europe that took 3 months to get to me! I thought the person was a flaker because I can't imagine why it would take so long to get to me.
Comment: Simone, I received your list today and it is wonderful. There are some overlaps with mine, which is neat to see, as well as some great new ideas I'm excited to implement in my own self-care! Thank you also for the wonderful teas from your country and the fun pictures and cards too!
Comment: was the play dough from scratch? that's really fun! when i was young we would make edible play dough. of course, as an adult it's like, "ewww! eat some thing that a kid has beeing playing with!" :)
Response: Yes it was from scratch - I took pictures of the whole process. We added kool-Aid so it could smell nice too.
Comment: We have so much in common, love of family and education. You are beautiful inside in out, deal with it..LOL
The photography was phenomenal.
You deserve a heart for sharing so much in such an honest way.
Comment: What an absolutely adorable card! It is fantastic - You did a great job and I have your first one :) I am so pleased. :) And thank you for the coffee sample - I will definitely be trying that - it smells incredible!!
