Comment: Good use of simile in your writing with solid and evocative descriptions. Enjoyed the poem! So true! Are Chico and the blind Lab real? Thanks for sharing your month and your work.
Response: Thank you for this great rating, Felicia. Yes, Beau and Chico are real, and the incident in the story happened as well. That was a rough time, and I thought looking for the funny side of it might help me get through it easier.
Comment: Dear Tere, how fun it was to spend the day with you! At one point I was thinking about asking if I could just move in with you haha because your days looks like a lot of fun and I just fell in love with the place you live in. You are great at describing things btw! Congrats on winning the photography award, both of your cards are gorgeous, I'll keep them to use on a journal, there's no way I could give them to someone else. You are a great photographer and I had no idea about Pixoto but I'll definitely check it out. How funny that you have two coffee makers but loved it! We also have Wendy's here, I'll see if I can find anything veggie and give the place a try. And I'm tempted to make tomato sauce because it's so good, I'm so jealous about your homegrown tomatoes actually! The people at my PO know me too and I love visiting them because they're so nice, and also love Dateline and AGT (hated the same magician you hate haha, did you know she's the winner of Asia's Got Talent from last year? So crazy!). Thanks for sharing your new ribbons with me, they're beautiful!! Have a great weekend and happy fall!!
Response: Wow, thank you for such a beautiful rating! I'm glad you were pleased with what I sent♥
Comment: Great job on the Autumn herringbone patterned card. I also enjoyed your note, along with pretty paper bookmark and verses with the fancy corner punches (or scissors?) I used to have them, but now think I may need to find them again now that I'm getting back into making lots of cards.

Comment: Thank you for the great postcard! I, too, was born with "my nose in a book." I got to where I could iron with a book open in front of me! Or is that showing my age? Now I just wash dishes with a Kindle besides the sink....
Response: Thank you for the 5 and ♥! I am too clumsy to read and iron at the same time, lol!
Comment: Hi, Your simple autumn leaf card is probably one of the prettiest I've ever seen. I love it. Two pretty leaves surrounded by an autumn colored border, beautiful. We don't have autumn colors or snow, but we get plenty of ice and sleet.
Today it still is summer, tomorrow will be fall. Today I still am barefoot, and, Oh, how I love it all. Blessings, Doskie
Response: Thank you, Doskie, for such kind comments and the super rating!
Comment: Thank you for the card. It is interesting how different the Oregon lighthouses look than the Florida/Georgia lighthouses I am used to seeing. They appear to be shorter and attached to a buiding LOL
Response: Thank you for such a great rating! Maybe different weather is responsible for the varying architecture?
Comment: Thanks for sending. I probably should have specified in the swap it was supposed to be a nature scene and not an animal, but I will do that the next round.
Response: I'm sorry you aren't entirely happy with the card. The scene was a bull bison walking along a river. I'm not sure how that is not a nature scene, but a postcard is not worth quarreling about. Thank you for the 5. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you, dear Tere, for the lovely swap! I love everything! Your letter with the wonderful poem about Autumn, the postcards from your state, and the beautiful notecards you made with your photos! And to top it all off, I love the cloth kit/book to hold everything (including pen, tea and stamps)! You are amazingly talented and I would love to read your book. Comment: Thank you for the post cards and your thoughts:) I never looked at the story from that perspective of bonding with one's girl friends. But you are right I can see that in there now. And you are right - the girl friends we have in Christ are a valued gift He has given us and we should cherish them and the Lord will bless us as we do. Take care - Rose

I wish I can make a fire in the living room and have my house donned up with lights, stockings and a christmas tree with presents below! I think it's even cuter when you mention you have a stocking for your dog!! Haha. YOur letter was beautiful. What wonderful and heart felt rituals around opening the gifts and really taking time to enjoy the moments and beauty of Christmas. YOur Christmas Day and Rituals bring me a sense that I was celebrating an Oregon Christmas.
Love what you do for BEau. The prime rib sounds wonderful. Every Christmas Dinner growing up was always celebrated with Prime Roast - Yum.
Sorry to hear your hubby had back surgery.
Comment: I love the scripture cards! I think I'm going to punch them to add to my arc journal. It will be nice to flip pass them and move them along in the notebook as i need them. Wishing you lots of happy moments with Beau ! Love your stationary. My favourite fruit ;-) It's the first time I get a "double" Earl Grey tea. I'm curious to taste the difference with a normal Earl Grey. All the best !
Response: Thank you so much for the great rating! Double bergamot Earl Grey is my favorite tea; I hope you like it, too.
Comment: I love the recipe and ingredient you sent! I didn't even know smoked paprika existed. I use the regular kind on my deviled eggs all the time. I'm going to try this out next week. I'm sure it's yummy!

I'll make you outrageous meals, take you to the beach to watch the winter storms, and we can browse through all the lovely 2nd hand stores at Rockaway Beach!
Thank you for the nice rating!

Response: Thank you for your kind comments and the great rating! Of course you have to keep pieces of ribbon. Why would your husband question that? =D
Comment: Dear Tere, I just received your letter – thank you so much! This was probably my favourite swap yet, not only because I had a lovely time chatting to our neighbours when I asked them for the paper, but also because I love comparing the headlines, images and layout of the different publications – I studied intercultural communication at university, so I think this is a fascinating exercise. I showed your paper to my entire family over lunch and it was a fun conversation starter. Happy New Year! Anke
Response: That's great! You got it so quickly. I'm so pleased that such a simple swap would result in so many smiles. Thank you for the great rating. I think I'll do this swap again for 2014 =)
Comment: Thank you so much for your journal pages. I am hopefully doing mine today and I was wondering how people might set them out so I was thrilled to recieve yours. They are so well done. Ironically my photos include a tree but at sunset, poppies and the beach which are almost identical to yours. I also loved the kite one, it really made me smile. Thank you so much for sharing, they were wonderful and I will look after them

Comment: Your handmade bookmark was simply A M A Z I N G! All that folding--so intricate--and everything was so precise! I've NEVER seen anything like it before and feel lucky to have it. Your purchased bookmark was nice, too--the sentiment was lovely. Thank you so much for both.

How amazing that you can keep the hummingbirds there year round (mine disappear in the winter). It is wonderful that you stay so active and have so many interests....and yes our CF group is a special bunch of ladies that I am truly blessed to know :) THANKS for the "long letter" my friend in Christ...Charlene
