Comment: Thank you so much! I love the blocks you sent! But, I don't love your postal person. I have never had a John Wayne stamp and they scribbled out his face with a magic marker, poor guy.
Comment: Thank you very much for the lovely quilt squares. So colorful and cheery. I absolutely love to sew string quilt squares. A few years ago I made a complete quilt out of these, with a purple border between the squares. Always keep a bag of suitable pieces at hand. Thanks again.
Comment: Very cute atc! Love it! And the cool extras. What a wonderful swap. Thank you. And yes, i am back in southern Illinois and the heat index has been 115+ some days. I am sure you have had the same. Florida is so much cooler than here in the summer but i need to come back to see my doctors, do things to the house and see friends. I think we might be going back the first of September this time. Thank you again for a wonderful swap
Response: Glad you liked the ATC.... Also.... you just gave me my 1000th heart!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great swap. I love the magnet, washi and rub ons! All are awesome! I haven't completed my goal of 52 books yet and I sort of slowed down but I'm already so invested in it I'm not going to quit!
Comment: Oh Barb, thank you for such a lovely ATC...and for such a sweet note! Yes, I'm facing two big moves, almost back-to-back. Life changes, and so must we...and I have big plans for the rest of my life! I can't wait to start swapping again after the first move!
Comment: Hi Barb! I enjoyed your patriotic Red-White-Blue postcard! Thank you so much! It's been hot and humid here the past few days. I'm not a fan of that!! We're heading to Southern CA in August for 10 days. Looking forward to that!
Comment: Super fun pot holder!!! What do you use inside that makes it crinkle? And, thanks for the fun fat quarter too! PS, I'm making a pot holder for my swap partner too...I wonder how many of us are! LOL

Thanks for being a great partner-good to see you in my mailbox again, too!
Comment: Barb, you went over and above in this swap! I love all the batiks you sent and I look forward to creating something with them and I'll think of you when I do. Also thanks for the info about the chiropractor for dogs...I've had 2 doxies cross the rainbow bridge because of back issues.
Comment: I love the first batch and can't wait to get the second...so I am giving you your 5 and heart now, thank you dear for sending me both. You do beautiful work. I received the correct ones and they are great. Thank you Barb!

Comment: Super cute tag...thank you so much, Barb! Not only did I receive a darling tag for my collection, but the loveliest, most thoughtful package of sweet extras...you are a wonderful swap partner!
Comment: What a cute bunny walking in the rain in the garden, Barb! Thank you very much for the G-45 extras as well. I think they may rival or be equal to what Tim Holtz does.
Yeah, that broken hip has really presented a challenge and completely ruined Christmas. I never felt that we had Christmas. I was SO looking forward to hosting Christmas dinner for Les's (dear hubby) family, including our Nate and Marissa! They have so filled my heart with love for them and next year they will be going to Midland, Texas, for Christmas with mommy's family. I am just really frustrated and angry about yet another major surgery and extensive rehab. I just need a bit of respite from all of that.
But my art room helps me escape from all of that and gets me to sort of forget about the pain issues. This is a beautiful world and I want to enjoy it without fears of falling or hurting too much from just moving too much. God is in charge, so I am just trying to trust Him with all of this.
Thanks for the great swap!
Comment: Wow thank you sooooooo much for the extra goodie you sent me my package. It was a BIG suprise to me!!!!!! I love the way you did the ATC very creative, and put alot of thought into making it. So many techniques, and put together very well. Happy Swapping! Looking forward to more swaps with you.

Comment: Oh Joy, my first holiday gift has arrived!! Thanks ever so much! Sight unseen I just know it will be fabulous. It's now tucked away in a decorative box instead of a stocking, awaiting Christmas evening when I'm home from Mom's and the grandkids are gone so I can truly enjoy opening all my gifts.
Comment: I was thrilled with your choices of napkins for me and the pieces of vintage ephemera was extra special...thank you! BUT you didn't mention your favorite food :( Thanks for making this an extra fun swap!!
Response: So sorry!! I did forget to mention that! Favorite food? Hmmmm.... I love anything Italian with lots of sauce! I also love Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese....and anything CHOCOLATE!! Especially dark chocolate! :-))
Comment: ðŸŽðŸŽðŸŽâ¤ï¸ðŸŽ…🎅🎅Oh, Lordy. Girl, I got your package today. I promised myself when I signed up for this swap that I'd wait until Christmas Eve to open them. I am so dumb. Dumber than a box of hair. I can tell you that I'm tickled by your wrapping paper, ribbon and extra tag. They are all perfect! Can't wait to see what's inside but I guess I will.☹ï¸ðŸ˜¢â˜¹ï¸ dumbdumbdumb me.🎅🎅🎅â¤ï¸ðŸŽðŸŽðŸŽ

And of course the envelope you created is just as special--love the background (watercolor?) and all the lovely stampings. That big leaf stamp on the front is beautiful--you can see every little vein . . . really special. Thanks so much for creating something so nice for me.
Comment: Oh Barb, that atc is so great! The pix of the ladies look just like my dads mom and his sister n law(many years ago) my gram died in 1965 and my uncle divorced his wife in the early 70's. What a flash back! I love it😀â¤ï¸â—ï¸Thanks for hosting this fun swap.

Comment: ♥ I am so glad you liked this swap. Thank you for all the lovely things. I cannot decide which set I like the most. I will be thinking of you every time I write my pen pals using this stationery set. Thanks again. P.S. Love the bookmark.
Comment: Barb, these envelopes are terrific--I think at least two of them are Graphic 45 papers--one of my favorites, next only to Tim Holtz and the other two are either his or in his style; either way--doesn't matter to me. I cannot afford his stuff all of the time!
I came into a windfall of his supplies from an acquaintance who took a TH class, went out and bought all kinds of his supplies and then never used them. She sold the whole huge stash for $35!!! Then she was sorting her Christmas things and found a "ton" of TH holiday supplies--that time I insisted on paying $45 and still it was a steal! So I am flush now with Tim supplies but ultimately I'll use them up and, besides that, the dang guy just keeps coming up with new items we all must try eventually---oh, well, yeah, I guess he'd lose his job if he didn't keep getting new ideas! OK--but he doesn't have to make them so expensive! LOL
Thanks for your patience in waiting for this rating---I wasn't voluntarily getting behind; life and my body (which I wish liked me better) went all wacky with RA and fibro. I wish they'd just go bother someone else, someone mean and vicious and deserving of constant pain--yeah, and while sleeping on prison beds, etc. with no pain meds to help them! That would be a good sentence for so many violent and horrible criminals. It will never happen because it were be considered cruel and inhumane treatment--for criminals but not for ordinary, regular, decent people! FROWNING OUT LOUD!
Anyway, enjoy your weekend and the few little bits of spring that are beginning to pop up in Kentucky. Here in Houston, spring is in full swing, to use an old cliche! We've trimmed what's to be trimmed now, including roses at Valentine's and my spirea bush is just about to burst out crazy with blooms! Les has cut other flowers back to just a few inches so we will get a new, thicker growth and more beautiful blossoms. Happy Spring--or at least a few hints that it's coming! I SO LOVE seeing crocus poking through a light layer of snow when I lived in the midwest.
Thanks for a spectacular swap!
Response: Thanks Peggy - glad you rec'd it! Don't you just love it when you run into fantastic deals like the Tim Holtz stuff!! Sounds like a deal I ran into last summer at a yard sale - a box of rubber stamps - mostly new for $10.00 !!! There were over 100 stamps in the box!! That was my deal of year! :-))
Comment: What a wonderful ATC you created! One of the best I have received in a long time - so many interesting layers and tiny details that add to a great composition; even an artistic back. Thanks, too, for the extras - the creative double pocket tag, the typewriter bag and nice note.

Comment: Hi, Barb--thanks for the cute "Believe" ATC--I cannot wait to make mine and would have it completed and mailed were I not playing catch-up after my computer was hacked and credit card charged for a flight to Egypt!! See my profile for more info. I do like the quotation you used, and, with your permission will add it to my stash that I keep adding to in Word to have sayings and phrases ready and available at all times, even if I don't have a stamp that says what I need. THANKS very much for the Graphic 45 papers and tags, etc. I most certainly will be putting them to use quickly! Blessings!
Comment: Hi Barb! I love your daisy/dandelion creation! Thanks for being brave and drawing a flower--I put my brave art face on and did the same. Your sweet little "imperfection" made me smile. I ended up using watercolor pencils . . . how 'bout you? Your matching card and envelope are beautiful--isn't that Graphic 45 paper? I feel VERY special!

Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely cards! And also the extra washi tape. I like how you adhered it to a plastic card for sending - good idea! The birds here have also been hitting the feeders pretty hard. We got 8" of snow a week ago, but today it's warmed enough to melt it. I'm sad to see it go.
Response: Glad you liked the cards and the extras....Thanks for rating.

I like those MUCH better than "actual" ribbons. Thanks, also, for the neat extras--very pretty postcard of Kentucky at night! Wonderful package--such fun to open--thank you!
Comment: Barb....Thanks for the beautiful "cardinal" card :) I wish I could attract them to my feeders but I have tons of Bluejays and they seem to scare other birds away :( Your antique gift from your son sounds amazing and it sounds like you are itching to plant!! Stay warm and snow free!!...Charlene
Response: Charlene....I feed the birds ... I LOVE watching how they can liven up the yard with their wings fluttering and zipping in and out of the trees....I feed several types of seeds and I was having a problem with bluejays throwing the seeds out of the feeders looking for something they wanted.....WELL I found out that they LOVE shelled peanuts!! So I buy a bag of unsalted shelled peanuts at the Wildbird Store and thrown some in the feeders and a few on the ground and it solved my bluejay problem!! Thanks for the rating too!
Comment: Thanks for the paint chip bookmark (in a color I like, too) and the other goodies. I guess you can't say it's a "chip" cause some of them are kinda huge paint chips. LOL! I sent some bigger sizes, too.

Comment: Barb ~ you did it! It's awesome and I love it!! Isn't that method the best? I love it cause when you use that method your strips can be any width (to change things up you can do a wide strip and then a skinny strip) and sewing them together they don't have to always be straight! You can do it so they look like V! Thank you so much!! XO Kelly :)
Comment: Thanks Barb! This swap was a great idea as we who play with paper know we ALWAYS have bits and pieces left from the last project LOL! Ii liked the extra playing card ATC with the papers and washi too :)

Comment: Barb--thanks for a very nice map ATC with a truck. I'm enjoying this map series-- one decision is made for me when I begin work on the card--background paper is a given!
I sure hope your hubby's second replacement of the same knee works--I am a little frightened now as my Dr. says it is thoroughly cemented in place. But I am never to get down on that knee at all. I'm not going to try just to see if he's right! ;-) I never thought about the new knee breaking apart of breaking loose. Take care and happy crafting--keep your creativity and imagination in HIGH gear! I love the extra papers; did you make the two with swirls and mixed colors? I will enjoy using them for ATCs, etc.
Comment: Great ATC! My roomie jamnj use to live in Chicago , we now live in florida and way south southern illinois ( most of Kentucky is north of us), so the map was a hoot. Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
- George Eliot
Comment: Thank you Barb for a great Carson Card. I was a bit worried as the envelope had got damaged in the mail sorting machine. Luckily all in tact and Aus Post had put it all in another envelope to protect it.

Comment: Great card! Thank you! I hope it's warmed up since you sent it. We had one real storm this year and now it's sunny. We pay ridiculous taxes for our sunshine though, so it's a trade off. Besides soon everything will be nice and green for you! Hugs Dawny

We are definitely looking forward to Spring here as well in New York, but, sadly, it still feels like Winter. It is only 5 degrees right now...boo hoo! Oh well, it won't be long now. I loved hearing that your daffodils are sprouting up. They won't be sprouting up here until the very end of April, at the earliest. Now, don't you feel sorry for me? HA HAHAHA! Thanks again, Barb and Happy Swapping. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty ATC, Barb...I love everything about it! And I also want to thank you for using one of my ATCs as the swap graphic! When I saw the picture, I thought it was a lovely compliment. And the super extras...you are such a generous swap partner! XXX
Comment: I can't believe the detail you put into this house ATC. the dimensional snow and Christmas lights are amazing. Such great attention to detail right down to the wreath on the door. I love it and the extras.
Response: Why thank you very much! So glad that you liked it....I enjoyed making it!
Comment: Hi Barb! We live about 15 miles southwest of the city. I know this sounds bad, but I hate going downtown...especially during the winter! It's so pretty and a really great place, but I hate the traffic and the noise and the throngs of people! I am a country girl at heart!!!!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty card and for the extras. One more to go! Well, actually two more as I missed out on the first cards. Glad to have found someone to trade with. Thank you so much for hosting this fun series.
Response: So glad you liked the series....I am thinking of new series type of ATC's for 2014....they seem to go over pretty good.... Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year....
Comment: Barb I love this tag.....Everything about it....I'm going to hang it on my tree...is to pretty not to be seen...Thanks for the xtra trees....and I love the little transparent snowman wrap...Hugs 'n ♥♥♥'s
Response: Why thank you Kathie! Such kind words....have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy New Year!
Comment: Thank you, Barb, for a beautiful postcard. All those beautiful postcards that I receive from american swap-botters, make me think about a trip to the United States. So far I have only been to New York for 4 days in 1995.
Comment: Wow, I lived in TN for many years, it's where I still call "home". I've never seen KY in such beautiful colors as those in the card. Stunning!!!!
Response: About every 3-4 years we have what I call a "show-stopper" of an autumn! This year the trees put on quite a show! Now we're surrounded by bare trees and muddy ground! Yuk!! Thanks for the rating!
Comment: WoW guess what was in my mailbox today a GREAT postcard with a beautiful sleigh scene and I love the snowflakes on the back and the sentiments….. I didn't remember receiving it….as I said I always rate the day something comes….Thank you so much for this great swap!!!
Comment: Thank you Barb for the oh so Cute Halloween ATC. Having the cute ghost on the back of the card was like getting two ATC's in one! Also thank for the little extras you sent along with your swap.
Comment: Thanks for the great ATC! Where in the world did you find sheet music for Halloween! I had a hard time opening the envelope you decorated! It is beautiful! I loved the mini envie, in Halloween paper, of course and the extra fun goodies! Great swap!!!!
Comment: Great to get something from you-and on COKE cards! Wonderful work on these cards-I keep forgetting that I could run my cards thru with embossing folders! And thanks for the wonderful little extras-like a little ATC kit of inspiration in one little envelope!
Comment: Thanks for the two beautiful ATCs. The color palette of the Greece travelogue is both unique and effective. It's a striking collage. The little bird card is sweet and springlike -- the use of the fibers for the nest is brilliantly subtle! I am very pleased to add both of these to my collection. <3<3<3<3<3 (Love the Highways postage stamp too!)
Response: You're welcome...so glad that you liked them!
Comment: This is a splendid Rolo, Barb--Obviously, you read my profile since you used the bird. Birds, butterflies, and flowers are three of my favorite things. Second only to small children, dogs, and cats. Thanks much for the little extras as well--they will be put to good use!
Comment: I love the embossing! I would not have thought to run the cards thru the embossing machine but I love it. ( may i steal that idea?) I really like how you put together the cards. The textures the colors and the extras all tie together so wonderfully. Thank You ! These are some of my favorites so far.
Response: You are very welcome! Glad you liked the embossing technique and of course you can "steal" that idea! Embossing gives it a completely different look doesn't it! Thank you for your kind words Betsy.....:-)

Some printed napkins are truly beautiful. Thahk you for taking time to make such lovely twinchies and make my package so much fun to open,.
Response: You are welcome! Glad that you liked it.... :)
Comment: Awesome ATC. Really love the little puzzle pieces on it. Thanks for the napkins too, I did try the saran wrap once with limited success; still trying to figure how hot is hot enough for the iron. Thanks!
Response: Glad you liked the ATC....I use a pretty high setting on the iron and keep moving it back and forth for about 15 sec. I check to make sure that the saran wrap has melted in the corners and if not....I go across it again for a few more seconds. I've made quite a few and so far....no problems! I hope you try it again!
Comment: Great ATC. . . I really like the composition. Comment: Ok, first off, this is my one and only week off and guess what?... rain in the forecast ALL week... through Sat. Ok, so I go out to get the mail in the rain, expecting saturated envelopes (because mine always IS when it rains), and just knowing that any swap-bot works of art will be ruined. I open the lid and, as I expect, it is all soaked. BUT, the cool thing is, there is a big ole business envelope in there with all these colorful polka dots done in markers that are water reactive... all that crappy junk mail was colored up like a watercolor festival ! I didn't even throw it away. I split open all the envies and laid them out on the counter to dry. I can use those babies!
THEN, I open your envie (very cool polka dots) and inside is a zip loc... totally protected goodies! I don't have a machine to cut or emboss with, so the extras are a hit... and how did you know I drink the extra bold?
You've unwittingly given me a bright spot in this gloomy day! I'm off to brew up this Italian Roast right now. Thank you very much!
Response: Well.....I'm sure glad that the polka-dots brightened your mail....I mean your day! :) Thanks!
Comment: Wow! You have a good thrift store! They even have great bags! Thank you very much for everything. Perfect. All of it. You really paid attention to my profile and picked great things. I would have bought all of this myself if I'd been there! I've already used an envelope and the memo pad! Really great. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful. :)
Response: So glad you liked the stuff from our local thrift store! I love going there each week to see what I can buy that I don't need!! :) Thanks for your kind words!
Comment: I'm sorry I didn't get you rated earlier! I must have skipped over this in my mad dash to rate all of my swaps! I absolutely loved this package, my friends and I delighted over the quotes. Quotes are one of my very favorite things in the world, and I really appreciate how well put together this zine was! Thank you!!!
Response: I understand the "mad dashes' :) I'm glad that you like the Zine...I had fun doing it!
Comment: Wow! Am I glad I joined this swap!! You are totally generous and thoughtful... Loved everything...-and the jar itself was so terrific how did you paint it the lid was great and those special coins ... Thank you.. One heart doesn't seem enough
