Comment: Oh my gosh! This zine is hilarious! I get the goat catalog, too. I wonder if they would receive even more donations if they presented their animals as creatively as you do here? Ha! Great job! Thank you :-)
Comment: Oh. My. GOSH!!! Thank you so much for not only the lovely (and unique deco) but the FANTASTIC Ireland postcard!! You lucky duck that you've been there! What a sweet thing to add to the decos. Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: What a beautiful ATCoin! You did a great job fussy cutting that tiny fairy :D Yes, I know my washi collection is a bit crazy. My mom always jokes that I buy them like she buys rice XD Thank you for the washi sample extras! and I love that owl card<3
Comment: one of the true art cards i've received...beautifully composed and created ...so dramatic...and i really like that crossroads sign...very very nice work...you are quite an artist..thank you so very much
Comment: Thanks so much for the great cards! I'm actually on my last prompt for the reading challenge- I'm reading the book right now. I've read way more books than 40 but a lot of them either didn't fit the prompts or were already a prompt I finished. I don't do audiobooks so all of mine were actual books or my kindle.
Comment: Is it wrong for me to say that my favorite part of your swap is the washi-covered envelope? What an awesome idea and I'm totally doing this. Thanks for the postcards too - the owl is my favorite! xo
Response: Lol - I'm glad you like it! I had all these awesome washi samples from swaps and they were overflowing the little box I keep them in. I grabbed a bunch of blank envies and spent at least 3 or 4 days decorating them to use up the samples. Then I found another stash of them. :O I think I'm going to use these ones to cover up those extra envies that come in bills we pay online or random charities asking for donations.
Comment: Thank you for making sure I did not get the same backs from you.
Response: I've been keeping a list of what I send each person to try and avoid duplicates. :) I found a box full of old decks a couple months ago, so I should be able to go a few rounds before I have to repeat.
Comment: Thank you for the nice cards - I think the same as the bird that said "my crazy runs wide and it runs deep." Heehee. Can you believe I have never seen the whole movie, "Gone with the Wind"??!! It's soooo long, I have seen parts - but never the whole thing. I should do that during the pandemic! I hope all is well with you, take care!
Response: Some days that bird is my spirit animal. lol It took me a few tries to make it all the way through GwtW, and I LOVE old movies. You're right -- it's crazy long. Plus, whiny characters irritate me. But that's also what makes, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" such a good line. :)
Comment: Hi Christine, hahaha this postcard is so apt for this year. Shit has indeed gotten real, and I love that little birb face, so cute! Thanks for picking such a great postcard, hope to swap with you soon! -Abby
Comment: Thank you for the art postcard, I love it! I am originally from Kalamazoo, I was planning to visit there this year. : ) You should definitely visit Corvallis. Check out the wikipedia page sometime, it is truly beautiful here. Thank you for joining the swap, I hope you will join the next round soon!
Response: I went to WMU! Small world. :) One of my all-time favorite stores was in K-zoo. It salvaged architectural pieces from old buildings that were torn down. Gorgeous wood doors, intricately carved fireplace fronts, piles of bricks, even a couple gargoyles. This was long before "reclaimed wood" was a trend. I used to wander through there and daydream about living in a cool house built from all the stuff there. Closest I've gotten is a house from the 70's that still had the original orange shag carpet and barn-wood paneled walls. Not the same... lol
Comment: What a sweet and wonderful letter you sent along with this swap! I am already in the classroom, school started the 20th but all kids are virtual at the moments. Its a crazy ride, but we are surviving!
Comment: Love all the fun stuff you sent. Especially the coffee stickers and the Greetings from Michigan PC. I would love to trade you anything for more of that PC! The envelope was really cool too! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the fun playing cards and the great postcards. I did my "dream trip" to Machu Picchu several years ago too! It was an amazing experience and trip. I also enjoyed your colorful envelope and postage stamp. Thanks for a great swap!
Comment: Wow you have such a nice collection of violet Kawaii. At least the large memo sheets, I don't think they're from my collection, unless they were from a long time ago. Thank you for all the goodies!
Comment: What a fun envelop to receive! Thank u for everything, esp the sleeping bear dunes postcard. I sent all of it when I was there and hoping would have saved 1 for myself! Glad it came to me! I lived in Rochester Hills/ Troy area and loved it there!
Comment: Thank you Christine for the otter PC & your list of favorite zoo animals. I love Red Pandas, polar bears, Otters and the Binturongs ( they sort look like dogs to me) ! Have you seen a postcard of them ? I have want to buy some. But I've been saving money to them. As they $12.99 for 8 on CafePress. They even have the Red panda & Otters too. I've already gotten polar bears from them.
Response: I didn't even think to check Cafe Press for PCs of them. Thanks for the tip!
Comment: Hi Christine,
Thanks so much for the awesome cards. I truly love your selections! I'm still staring at the art from Cecilio, counting arms & legs!
Thanks again & hope you are having a great day!
Response: I know, right? I do that every time I look at those postcards: "Wait... 5 legs... 3 arms... 2 heads... oh no, there's another!" lol I love art that forces me to stop and really take it in. :)
Comment: Thank you for the great cards! I have a friend who is the strong man in the circus so that card is great - I may have to send it to him when I get his address! The Alice in Wonderland lobster is amazing, I need to look up those cards! The fountain card from Paris is wonderful, I don't recall seeing it when I visited there. The gorilla is fun and the hotdog with toothpaste, well.... that one is certainly odd, ha! I appreciate your nice note and I am sure your Ren Faire outfit will be fantastic with that hat and mask, so cool! I visited with my 2 pirate friends yesterday - it was nice to have some time with them, even if we were masked and tried to stay 6 feet apart! GISH is coming up August 1-8th, sign ups end next week if you are interested in checking it out! Take care and be well. <3
Response: Wow! I've been holding on to that strongman card for awhile -- I guess it was waiting to go to you! What are the odds I'd send it to someone who knows an actual strongman? Too cool! And yeah, that toothpaste hotdog... kinda made me do that head tilt dogs do when they're like "What is wrong with this human?" lol
Comment: I love the Valentina Tereshkova postcard! Chainmaille jewelry is so fun to make. Here's a Google Photos album with photos of some pieces I've made: https://photos.app.goo.gl/4bsFYpAukrT4arkAA
Response: OMG I'm drooling! Beautiful! I haven't had the urge to make jewelry in awhile, but this certainly did it. :) The necklace with the fanned out scales (pic #35, I think) is my favorite, but there are sooooo many cool pieces.
Comment: Christine, thanks so much for your postcard; I love old book stores. As for TKAM, my daughter is Harper Lexington (a play off Harper Lee). We always thought we would nickname her Scout but Harpsichord seemed to stick instead.
Comment: I hadn't heard of this book, but it sounds interesting. I'm a bit of a picky eater, but with all our moving, I've tried most different foods, too. So this was a tough one for me, too. I found a children's book about Native American Fry Bread, which was such a nice book. And I found a book about Icelandic cooking - something I haven't tried! That was ... interesting. :) I've recently found about a book of Soul Food, and that's not something I've really tried much, so if I can find the book, I hope to read that at some point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
Comment: Thank you for your very comforting message about @Candybeads. The note really touched my heart, so I thank you so much for that. And I also thank you for sending me such a wonderful swap! I loved everything! Hehe You're amazing as always my friend *Hugs!*
Comment: Christine!! Thank you for your wonderful swap! I'm in love with the playing cards (especially the unicorn one) and the cute stickers you included! Thank you a bunch for your sweet letter and all those book recommendations!! Your swap really brightened my day <3 Stay safe!
Comment: Thanks so much for sharing! It's great that you got some warning, could plan an extra trip. We were told ours would stay open. :( :( There are a few on your list that I had written down as options for the Book Riot challenge
Comment: This was PERFECT!!! I was sad because they put those stickers across the bottom on both sides but luckily with whatever you used to coat the PC they peeled right off. I LOVE it and completely agree, Disney is for all. <3 Thank you!
Comment: Christine! Your postcard was so, so fun!! I just love how you decorated with the ice cream cone stickers and the popsicle stamp. I've never seen that stamp before. The trapeze performer pc is awesome. THANK YOU! <3 hope to swap again soon.
Comment: Thanks for the terrific variety of cards you chose for me, Christine. Felix Lorioux and Shan Kelly Cecelio are both new to me - thanks for introducing me to their delightful art. Fun envie too!
Comment: Thank you Christine for sending me the Deco Book, I will enjoy decorating a page in the book. And, thank you for your kind card, I'm sorry you lost two siblings. They remain in my hearts forever.
Comment: Thanks for all the goodies! i couldn't find my library bookmarks either. My daughter works at our public library and just went back to work this week. They aren't open to the public, but the staff is spending a few hours a day there prepping for curbside pickup and planning what to do for Summer Reading. So many challenges.
Comment: Thank you for the blue and green items. I love the colors you chose. I enjoyed reading your letter. And I really appreciate the extras you sent based on my profile.I especially love the retro flamingos and beach, The recipe cards are adorable. Thanks again and stay safe:)
Comment: Hi Christine! I received your yellow envelope and thought, why is this name so familiar? It's been years! Thank you so much for the wonderful envie of wonderful supplies. Everything is so catered to me ^+^ Glad to hear all is well - thanks again!
Comment: I got your re send ! Thank you so much! I wish I knew what happened the 1st set you sent. Whoever got them, hope they enjoyed them, lol ! Anyway, Thank you very much for the Princess Mononoke PC! Love it !! And, of course love the others you sent too, Antilope,Donald Duck ( one of my favorites growing up with),Flowers, and lighthouse. Take care & keep safe! Oh wow, That was first swap you sent? What the heck! Where the heck was it all this time, I wonder?! But I did get your 2nd swap though & thank you so much for it & loved all you sent. But does stink, the 1st one shows up nearly 2 months ago & I got this 2nd one today. This is nuts!
Response: Wait -- That's the first one! Yay!!!! I'm so glad it finally got there because that's the only Princess Mononoke card I had and I was so sad it got lost. lol Oh, I'm so happy it worked out. Hopefully the resend comes too and you can have a bonus. :) This made my day. (Yes, it's the little things that brighten my world these days.) lol
Comment: I love your description of the museum as a "fever dream!" I would definitely like to visit the one in Spain, but the one here in FL is more likely, and hopefully sooner. This was a great swap. Thanks and take care.
Comment: I hadn't thought of Hosseini's books as illustrated versions, but I can see the advantage, like you said. Adding illustrations for heavy topics can be helpful. When our libraries open again, I'll look for both you discussed! :) Thank you for some awesome suggestions! :)
Comment: Let's start with this, when I pulled out the ATCoin, I said, "WOW!" It is absolutely beautiful. I love Celtic knot work and you did such an amazing job on it. I am really touched by what you made for me! Thank you also for the extra Coin backings. Aloha
Comment: I loved your Detroit/Las Vegas comparison. It's SO true. Vegas is as far from me as...Detroit honestly :)
Next time we are paired up I will send you some good ol' Nevada secrets!! Happy New Year!!
Comment: Christine! Such great postcards! It's really awesome to see what others have in their stashes - you did great!
Also, the piggy (and other cute animals) are adorns! I like the texture of the stickers, too.
Thanks so much!
p.s. I love your stamps, I know some ASL! It was a nice surprise to come across it!
Comment: Thank you so much for taking the time to write me a lovely note!! The Peter Pan postcards are fantastic, I haven’t seen those yet! I really can’t wait to use the washi. I like washi that has words. Thank you!!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard and the kawaii sticker! It's absolutely adorable. Hopefully if I get you again, I'll be able to get you a card you didn't get yet! Congrats on 3 years with Swap-bot!!
Comment: Thanks so much for the great swap! I've actually been making a list of childhood books to re-read over the summer (or listen to for the first time) and hadn't thought of this one, so I think I'll put it on my list! DId you read Bud, Not Buddy as well? My son read both for a school assignment a few years ago, so I reviewed the books then. :) Thanks for sharing!
And I LOVED the Garfield envelope! :)
Comment: Hey girl, hey! Thank you so much for the great TH envies! I love them and will probably end up hoarding them for a bit before using them. haha
Yes, there have been some changes in my life. They were a long time coming. I only recently decided to change the wording in my profile to reflect those changes. I'm doing okay, and yes, my pups are very loving and there for me. Thank you for your wonderful support. Don't be a stranger.
Comment: Christine, YOU ROCK. I just love all the washi you sent which I did not have any of these in my stash. Am into decoupage with napkins and loved the ones you sent & did not have those. Have a wonderful day today, I know I will with ALL the fun goodies you sent. AnnaL.
Comment: OMG Christine, you sent me such wonderful items I cant thank you enough. Great news, I had nothing you sent, yippee. Many thanks for everything you sent, so much fun to be had with all my new goodies. Have a great crafty day, AnnaL.
Comment: Your second zine ever was amazing, I loved reading it! Thanks for the extras too :) Maybe you'll return to the zoo one day... it's a very cool dream job (not that there's anything wrong with the other dream either). PS. You have a very Finnish surname ;)
Response: Hi! I'm so glad you liked it. I've been having a lot of fun making these. A new obsession. :) My husband is of Finnish descent. His grandfather moved to the US and settled in an area that had a lot of Finnish immigrants.
Comment: LOVED the Gudetama paper, and really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the book. I read it a few years ago, as well as Look Me in the Eye, that you mentioned. IT was interesting to hear your thoughts.
I agree that books can be a bit of an 'escape' from life, but also cause us to look at daily life in a new way.
Thanks so much for the great swap. :)
Comment: What an amazing card! I absolutely love this technique, it is by far one of my favorites. I love the stamped images you used and the highlighting with white pen definitely made everything pop. Thank you so much!
Comment: Hi Christine. I received your swap today, and the envies are fantastic! I don't have this particular collection, but I really like it. The extras will be used in a project I'm thinking about starting. Thank you for everything!
Comment: Thank you for the Kawaii letter! OMGoodness those puppies are so tiny and so cute! I will have to check out Erased on Netflix. Thank you for the decos I will have to work on more once I get this Magpie journal done.
Comment: Loved the Seed packet PC. Can;t wait to plant some flowers in my gardens. The book you shared, sounded very interesting. I'll have to give it a try. Hope youir haing a wonderful day. bearnbabs
Comment: Hi Christine! Thanks for such cool stickers, I love when I see stickers I've never seen before! :):):) I added a photo of one of my dioramas to my profile. Have a great day.
Response: Wow! Your diorama is so cool! I could stare at it for hours and still find new things to notice. I can tell you put a lot of time and care into it. I find dioramas absolutely fascinating. I love how they tell a story, and I love finding all the perfect little details that bring them to life. Thanks for sharing the picture!
Comment: What a cute card--it brought up memories of my kids and their friends just making anything they wanted to from a huge box I kept filled with miscellaneous items from the mail and any other source of paper, ribbon, glue, crayons, markers, etc. They loved the "stamps" from Easter Seals, etc. back then or the magazine stamps for subscriptions I didn't want, but they looked like real postage stamps to them.
Thanks for your encouragement about my taking some personal care time, and I'd love to have your help with some TH Challenges group! Just let me know if you want to be an officer or a co-founder. The only advantage of the latter is that you can send group messages when you post a new swap---as officer, you have to contact me to send that message--which is fine for me, whichever you want.
Comment: Well I just LOVE all the washi tape and the cards you put them on... You did a great job. Where did you get the alice in wonderland tape....? Im looking and just cant find it. Thanks so much - Great swap!
Response: Hi! Sorry for the late response. I just discovered a batch of ratings that got pushed to the second page. I'm so glad you like the tapes! I got the Alice ones from modes4u.com, but they don't have any traditional style ones at the moment (just kawaii). Try searching "alice washi" on etsy.com. There's lots there. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card and washi! I love the sloth holiday sticker so cute! Your handwriting is neat this time. I think mine only looks like yours when we both write messy. LOL <3
Comment: Hi Christine, thanks for the swap. Glad to see you figured out how to send these weirdly designed kawaii envelopes so that they don’t cost extra postage. Thanks to you I will send kawaii envelopes your way 😀 Machu Picchu was amazing. I would say skip the 4 day hike though. Go Lima to Cuzco, acclimate a few days then take the train to aguas caliente, buy tickets to Picchu and take the bus up to the mountain. Easy Peasy. It’s back on my list minus the hikey stuff😊
Response: Good to know about MP. Thank you for the advice! We hope to book our trip very soon. :)
Comment: Loved the message on the back!! I'm so glad I could introduce you to invisible illnesses! 😍 Some people are really judgemental when they don't see anything visibly wrong with you. Love it! Thanks!
Comment: Lovely sketch of an Unicorn. Looks like it could be real. Thank you. We watched "Erased" some months back. And we loved it. Looks like we like the same type of movies. Thanks for sharing. Take care...Michelle
Comment: Hi Christine -Thanks so much for the wonderful 1980's Mail Art. Boy, did it bring me back. I watched MTV everyday and played Pac Man all the time. Thank you for joining the swap. Take Care -Vanne
Comment: Thank you for the letter and goodies! The only book i'm reading right now is The Gift of Fear! It's cool that you can dress up for Halloween, i'd love to do that!! I hope you have a wonderful autumn, and Happy Swapping!
Comment: It was so lovely to receive your fun letter! I smiled the entire time reading about your recent activities and opinions on Fall drinks lol Pumpkin spice isn't a favorite of mines either (hehe) Your letter definitely made my day, so thank you :) And also thank you for the cute memos and stickers! Super cute stuff :D <3!
Comment: Thank you for your nice note and all the cuties. I'm just back from camping at Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. Lots of water and lots of mosquitoes! We have a family reunion in August too, nearby in Faribault, MN.
Comment: Christine, thank you so much! The notecard is super cute. I hope your vintage lot on eBay turned out with really good stuff! I just love it when I score something good. Thank you for joining my swap!
Response: Hi! The only Japanese set was the tarepanda one. Everything else was Korean, which is fine by me since working in Korea back in the 90's is how I first fell in love with kawaii. Got a few super cute Orange Story and Morning Glory sets. :)
Comment: Hey...fancy meeting you on an ATC swap! :o) Thanks for the ATC and bonus Sumikkogurashi stickers/notepaper. Super kawaii envelope!
I have been busy gardening because I made a ridiculous challenge of starting a rainbow garden with a flower AND edible for each color. Plus, they are all from seed. Go big or go home! Fingers crossed that it's 100% awesome soon.
Response: Ooooh, a rainbow garden sounds cool! But, yes, also a lot of work, especially from seed. :)
Comment: Thank you so very much for your wonderful letter!!! I love all of the kawaii note sheets and flake stickers that you included!!! Please let me know if you would ever like to do a 1 on 1 kawaii swap :)
Response: Hi! I'd love to do a 1 on 1 swap. Now that school's out for the summer things are slowing down a bit and I can have more swapping fun! :)
Comment: Oooooh, pretty pretty tapes!!!! And so many! I love them all! The postcards, holy smokes, I adore them and they're going straight into my "keep forever" collection. Wow! Thank you so much for everything!
Comment: Thank you for the nice note and super cool ATC! Did you use a stamp for the hand image? I love it! Also, the Washi tapes are awesome too, thank you! P.s. yep I still have lots of unpacked boxes! :D
Response: I'm so glad you like it! It's a 7 gypsies stamp. It came in a set along with an eye chart and a ruler.
Comment: Jinbesan!!!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I LOVE the sticker sheet! It's going straight into my "never ever ever to be used and only to be admired" treasure box! Thank you and thank you for the cute memo sheets, too! That Amy and Tim envelope you put the mini memos in is ADORABLE and going into that same box. Yes, I have a problem. LOL! The Sumikko gurashi envelope you used for mailing is awesome, too. Ok, it's ALL awesome! Big big thanks! =)
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you liked everything. That makes my day! :) I have many "admire only" items, too. I just had to move my collection into a bigger set of storage drawers. But I saw something recently that said, "It isn't hoarding if your stuff is cool," so I'm going with that. lol!
Comment: Thank you so much for all of the letter sets! I don't buy letter sets anymore so I was thrilled to receive these that I don't already have. Also thank you for the extra mini memo sheets and mini letter sets. Your packaging was really good too!
Response: I'm so glad I could send you some new things! You always send me the best kawaii, so it's nice to be able to pay it back a little. :)
Comment: Spring is here! Yay! Of course, it doesn't feel like spring here today. Ugh! Thank you so much for the "Dreams of Childhood" postcard. As for New Orleans--Sunday morning walks through the Quarter are THE best. That's when you can really feel the energy of the City. Bourbon St/Decatur on a Saturday night? Blah! Also, see the Garden District and the Arts District. You'll have a blast. Let me know how it goes and give my city a big hug for me.
Response: Thank you! Exactly the kind of advice I need. I want the 44-year-old's trip to NO, not the 22-year-old's. lol
Comment: Thank you for the postcards :0) One of them though... I have already signed.
Response: Oh no, I'm so sorry! I'm usually good about checking for that. Thank you for letting me know. I appreciate the reminder to make sure I check for that and for the opportunity to apologize for messing up.
Comment: Thanks for the pretty postcard you made and your nice note! Do I remember early stages of internet??? Girl, I remember the first microwave oven and having telephone party lines where 6 houses shared the same line and had to wait for the neighbor to get off the phone in order to make a call! LOL!!!!!! I'm old as dirt! =D
Comment: London was AMAZING. If I ever get a chance to go back, there is so much more to see! I try to use planners to make it SEEM like I have it all together when in reality... nope! I loved Stranger Things! Now to suffer through the wait for another season... D:
Comment: Thank you for the deco book, and for the planner stickers! ♥ The temperature has been horrid here...we've seen -40C with the windchill several times this winter, bleh. It's warmer right now, but it's also snowing like crazy. (And no, I've never been to Isle Royale either - one day!)
Comment: I want to say thank you for this wonderful Christmas package! Even that array of Christmas postage stamps! The book is so perfectly made... love the dark red and green thanks for the tags and ephemera just right for future atcs (using tags for presents!). My favorite
was the great little telegram! Your family and traditions are so great ! The coins were unexpected and much appreciated! Joys of the season to you and your family
Comment: Thank you for the goodies! I want to live in a place with snow for a long time, it snowed here this year so that was nice :) I hope you can get some cleaning done, happy holidays and happy swapping!

I’ll be seeing what friend wants to join your lovely friend on your pc! The woman is amazing! You did a great job with her! So glad you are making art! Baba and Claire loved thatyou recognized them by saying hello. Claire is laying here with me now as I write this. She’s 16 now and she’s still so sweet and loving! Hope all is well with you!
Comment: This looks like a great swap! I'll try to wait and open it closer to Christmas and then update my rating. Thanks for the candy to try out now! =) **EDIT 12-20** Well, I almost lasted until Christmas, lol. Thanks for all the wonderful goodies! I love the pencils, pen, memo pad, and sticker flakes! Comment: OH MY GOSH! What a crack up your card was! I loved it! Thank you so much!! Yes, we are looking forward to season 2 of Stranger Things!! Her first book signing event we went to was for R.L. Stine! LOL (She also just finished reading The Mortal Instruments series - not that that is very 'scary' per se but I guess demons and vampires and werewolves don't seem to scare her.) I'm also taking her to a haunted house tomorrow! But she's still scared of the dark! LOL
Response: We all have our thing, don't we? Mine's spiders. lol I'm so glad you liked the card. It was a blast to make. :)
Comment: Thank you for all the fantastic goodies you sent me! It was fun to look through it all - opening each envelope to see what treasures it held 😠I really love the pumpkin doily. Too cute! Have a wonderful Halloween 👻🎃
Comment: Wow! Thanks for the stamped Alice images, I love the size, I do not have any like these. I love your swap notepaper! I collect swap cards but have never seen a note like yours.......Now, what pressure for me to finish this beautiful card! =)
Comment: Amazing nautical envelope. Thank you so much!
Response: Oh no! I'm so sorry!! That really stinks -- there was a lot more in there. :( I sent that in one of my blue envelopes, and I normally tape those flaps shut to be extra careful. Did I forget the tape on yours? (Just curious so I can figure out what to do better in the future.) I will resend to you Monday. UPDATE 9-25-17: I dropped the resend in a postbox this morning. You should have it by the end of the week. :)
Comment: So sorry for the late rating. This is one of the nicest letters I've received here! We should set up some private swaps just because who doesn't love â¤ï¸ 's?
Here is the carousel in which I deeply regret my choice in cardstock paper. It made it so difficult to see the horses and stars inside but it was very circus looking.: https://instagram.com/p/bWftQKF5j4/
Comment: What a great swap! Love the dog stickers. Thank you for the washi. I have a wiener dog. Great choice. I smiled when I saw it! The die cuts are perfect for a mail project I'm working on. You were very thoughtful. Thanks so much!
Comment: Thank you! I love the postcard! Is it not a bear? Also, what's the name of the collection? I hadn't seen that one.
Response: It is a bear; I just didn't know if it quite qualified as a teddy bear. :) The collection is Everything I Need to Know I Learned From this Little Golden Postcard Book. It's all illustrations from Little Golden Books. I love it! I'm glad you like it, too. :)
Comment: OMG!!!! I love to tell people the story behind Sumikko Gurashi too !!!!! It's just so cuteeeeeee !! I love the green penguin? the best =)
and I wish I could give you an extra heart for the amazing postcard, you are so right I LOVE it and want the whole set !!!
Response: Yes, the penguin is sooo cute! And for some weird reason I like the little green weed. lol! I'm so glad you liked everything!! That PC is hilarious.
Comment: Thanks for sharing your history and growing up through PCs! They are great. My very favorites are the sheep, mushrooms & gargoyle! But I also love the covered bridge and the beach scene ðŸ–ï¸
Comment: Thanks Christine for the wonderful start of the Pass & Paste card! Also for the Alice in Wonderland cards :-) I hope I can add something nice, interesting, wonderful, or perhaps funny to your card :-) And that you will be more than satisfied when it returns back to you! :-D <3 - Ellen
Comment: Thanks for a great book-themed postcard, Christine. I love the saying--it's one I'd not come across before. I would love to see Tim Holtz working live with his new products. I'm glad you got to that display at just the right time! I have to agree that he sure seems to be a nice, interesting young man. I have the Oxide inks now and the crayons so I need to watch some videos and start using them in my projects. Thanks for a great swap!

Comment: Thanks for the amazing bookmarks 😊 I really want to visit Ireland 🇮🇪 one day and I'll definitely have to go to the Old Library. Also, the stationary was great and thanks for the cool PC â¤ï¸
Comment: Thanks so much for the great PCs and the lovely note. I, too, enjoy the concept art that's made and you are right. . . so much of it is better (I think) than the finished product. Thanks again for the great PCs and the extras. . . and have a great week ~~
Comment: Thank you for this silly AiW postcard! It sadly got stamped on the frontside, but that does make it more unique I guess :) I have not heard of that series before, but thanks alot for the recommendation, I will certainly look into it! So sorry for the late rating (received 02-05-'17)
Comment: Hi Christine! First off - with the hot streak we are having here in Washington, I love that the deco is you sent is a snowman! :) The Irish/Japanese stationary is a great touch, and I 'm so glad you get to take your Mom to Ireland while she isn't feeling well. ENJOY it for me!!! Take care and thank you again. Dina
Comment: That was *so* fascinating to read! Thank you for the goodies too! We have so much in common! And I've found a few things on your profile as well that I like! I relate to the K dramas... I always have to be doing something with my hands (ex: surfing web, writing) while watching TV or movies because I don't like just sitting around. So, when I watch K dramas it's like a reward for something. (By the way, love the Harvey Milk stamp!)
Response: Aw, thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I had to order the Milk stamps online and they had just arrived the day before I sent your letter. :)
Comment: Thank you for all the very unique PCs and nice note! Many many hearts! My favorites are the 2 Alice, the super cute coffee octopus, the gargoyles! But I live the others, too. I agree, Carroll's Caterpillar sketch is super creepy. I feel so special that you sent it to me! I will put it up on display where I can see it rather than hiding it away in my keep stash.
Response: I'm so glad you like them, especially the creepy caterpillar. lol I was a little worried you might be offended I sent such an "ugly" one. Glad to know you view it like I do and it found it's right home. :)
Comment: Ahhhhhhh! You deserve a bushel of hearts -- thank you for the exquisitely-packaged envelope of goodies! I squealed especially to see Kutusita Nyanko, Tare Panda, Gudetama, and other San-X familiar cuties in the stationery, tape samples, memo sheets of both sizes, and tiny envelope of flakes ♥♥♥ I'm glad you had a good visit with your family, and I hope you carve time for yourself in the coming months :) Thank you for brightening my day immensely, Christine! I can't wait to use everything you sent =^_^=
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. :) Thank you for your lovely comments. You made my day!
Comment: thank you so very much for the great selection of kawaii goodies! =) the weather here in NM is weird! one day hot, one day cold.. i hope all your flowers bloom for you this year! ♥ thank you again!
Comment: Oh my! This is beautiful!! I cannot wait to create my page. Thank you so much for the wonderful extra posties. They are cool! So this round, I'm studying Organic Chem. I LOVE those hydrocarbons. haha
Comment: WOW!! Thank you for all the fantastic washi. I, too, have a washi addiction! (Although I think you have me beat. It's so easy to just go to aliexpress and order 10 washi per order. Ha!) And thank you for the Acadia tips, I will absolutely look into all of your suggestions. I have never been to the Maine coast (even living in New England) so I'm very much looking forward to it. Thank you so much for a wonderful swap, you're the best!
Comment: I am just so blown away by your generosity of this swap. All the tapes are so wonderful, and I love your ideas for each month's tapes as well. Then the Alice in Halloween cards- I LOVE THEM! Also- I have a journal/smash book page from the Superbowl and the patriots flags will the PERFECT addition to them! Thank you so much! Also- I read your profile and am so very very jealous of your job as a book reviewer- who do I have to bribe to get that job? And I am also an adoptive mom- not from another country, but still, we adoptive moms have to stick together! :) Thank you so much for the great swap and your kindness . hearts and hugs.
Comment: Thanks for the interesting illustration from a book over 100 yrs ago. How different illustrations in children's book are today. I would sure enjoy being in Michigan on a snowy day---I miss having four distinct seasons here in Houston. Even after 40 years, I have not acclimated to it lack of seasons even if it means you can garden all year long. I especially miss snow. I was born in April on a snowy day putting a nice coat of snow to soak in the oats Dad had sown and to protect the seeds from birds. It had also been a record setting winter of 1948-49. I think I was simply at one with the snow from the beginning! My aunt says I'd always want to go outside to play in the snow even if none of the cousins wanted to when we gathered at my grandparents's home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am recovering from the broken hip but it is a long, slow process. Thanks for a lovely card and message!
Comment: Hello Christine,
Thank you for the 4 uncolored postcards you sent me for this swap. I really like the ones from the "Pretty Patterns Postcards" Set. I like them because they look fun to color and I think will look beautiful when they are done. The other two postcards are from "Enchanted Forest" and I have this set of postcards. However, I look forward to coloring these too. Thank you for the for the paper you sent me as an extra goodie. I really like it and I look forward to using it on projects I will be doing the near future. I hope we continue to get to swap with one another. l really enjoyed reading your note. Thank you for thinking of me in such a fond way by making a SUPER SWAP!

Comment: Wow--Adore the little camera notes you sent! I read your note (on the camera note paper) and was already composing an email to you asking where you got such delightful paper before I realized you sent me some! Yay! And washi samples and another sheet of camera paper! Thank you so much!
Comment: Ahhhh! I wish I could give you many hearts and kitty hugs -- thank you for the adorably puppy-adorned envelope, colorful notecards, and squeal-eliciting Kutusita Nyanko flakes and washi tape sample :O :D Thank you for helping make this busy week that much better with your thoughtful mail. Comment: Thanks for the adorable Halloween card and washi tape samples. Extra thank for the cat washi tapes...that was so sweet of you. I do love me some kitties! I hope you have fun trick or treating with your kids tonight!
Comment: When I opened your envelope, I had to smile when Spock and Chewbacca fell out of the card! Thank you very much! You made my day. I like your ATC very much and I love that you took the time to read my profile. It makes me so happy when people put real effort into a swap. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you like it! I had a lot of fun putting your swap together. It was fun to geek out with someone!
Comment: thank you for the washi and the corn snake stamp! I love that you have a mouse skull collection, what kind of mice?!
Response: Oh gosh, it's been so long since I got them that I can't remember exactly, and I can't find the box they're packed away in (we moved to another state and I'm still trying to unpack everything!) I was working in a lab for a professor who studies hyenas, so they could have been from Kenya, but more likely they're just regular old Michigan field mice. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome, musically themed postcard! I used to love the Little Golden Books. Getting paid to read sounds like a pretty amazing job! I'm jealous. Have a great day, and thanks again!
Comment: Love your selections, Christine! So delighted to get the books, Lake Superior is BEAUTIFUL and I can't believe the snow was so high (my mom talks about that year of blizzards in IL), and the word art is lovely. Thank you for reading carefully and picking such wonderful postcards!
Response: I'm so glad you like them! My favorite part of swapping is trying to pick things I hope my partner will like. :) Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I loved the pretty pink rose and penguin stamps and fun text message/bubble washi decorating the envelope (apropos, since I was watching You've Got Mail when I opened your envelope :) and all of the thoughtful, colorful cards you chose, from the mid-century Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty visual design images to the books, Lake Superior, and whimsical Studio Ink Marie-Antoinette drawing! I also loved the washi samples and Ravenclaw card you included. Thank you for going the extra mile, and hope you are having a good October thus far!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! That makes my heart happy. :) Have a lovely day!
Comment: Wow, Christine! Your Kandinsky Circles are beautiful! I'm in awe over your skill. How did you do them? What did you use? :-) Thank you ever so much for sharing your art with me!
Response: Aww, you're so sweet! Thank you! I'm glad you like the postcard. I tried out my Tim Holtz Distress Crayons for the first time in making it. I used Q-tips to blend the color after drawing the circles.
