Comment: Thank you so much for all of the stationery sets and the extra cards, too! I had fun looking through everything! Mail art is a lot of fun, but alas, I'm still not very good at it! :-) I wonder if it's learned or innate talent?
Comment: Thank you for all those different kind of teas. I really enjoyed opening one a day and even if I haven't drunk all of them yet I loved the once I already tasted. This was a very nice swap and I hope there will be another for 2012, because this advent calendar was amazing, well you as one of my swap partners made it amazing! :)
Comment: I loved your concept! And Harbor Seals are among my favorites (when I was young and broker than I am now, I used to sit outside the NE Aquarium and chuff at the seals. I love them so!) so your PC was perfect. Thank you!
thank you so much for taking me on a few
dreamy trips with those postcards today ~
hope you have had great travel experiences
between study obligations & otherwise
have enough 'at home' to enjoy when winter
weather makes getting around such a hassle
... i thoroughly agree as to the like-ability
of seattle, too (LOVE-ability, even!)
please have a wonderful new month
of december/close of 2011!
Comment: Hi Rae, thanks for the postcard! I love Seattle, oddly i have never been to Pike Place Market during nay of my visits. I'm going up to see Jason Webley play at the Moore on the 11th with my friend from Seattle who is also participating in NaNoWriMo this year!
Comment: You would love a cruise. It's the best vacation for your money. Many reasonable cruises out there. The dinners are to die for, the buffets are incredible, and you want to take your cabin stewart home with you to make your bed and clean. You would be spoiled.
Response: That does sound pretty great! Maybe someday =)
Comment: Guess what came through the mail today?!
Thank you so much, I love ALL the different sets :)
and your leaf made it through whole and perfect. I love it, as it makes you feel all "fall-like" and that IS whimsical :)
Response: Oh, I'm so glad!! =) Thanks for swapping with me!
Comment: Thank you for the great card. One lighthouse I will have to google. The name Cape Disappointment makes me have to learn more about it! I like postcard pals too so expect a card from me soon.
Response: I'm glad you like it!! I'll watch for your card =) Thanks for the heart! Hope you're well!
Comment: Where did you find such cute little envies!!?? I wanna open them NOW! But I'm gonna try to hold out - they will look so cute for the holidays! Thanks so much for the gorgeous package and holiday excitement (and postage stamps). Can't wait to open and try them!!!!!!
Response: So glad you're excited!! I hope you'll like the teas when you open them! I found the envelopes at a Japanese dollar store downtown. It's my favorite place ever now!
Comment: Thanks for the WA lighthouses card--it's a new one for me! I love the looks of the one called Mukilteo and would like to visit that one (who am I kidding-I'd like to visit all of them!). What you wrote on the back after reading my profile just made my day--thanks so much! Carol in Denver
Comment: Such a nice card!! I LOVE multi-view cards!! I would love to stay in touch as well, however it may be some time before I get back to you!! I have TONS of people to write!! But I will no fear:)
Comment: I love the Great Wolf Lodge PC! You know we have one of these in Charlotte NC now (about 3 1/2 hours from me, not something I can drive by!) I've never been but everyone is talking about it. I remember the joy of my teenage years at the neighborhood water slide - now long closed, weedy and abandoned (along with the Putt Putt). So sad to see places that brought such joy now neglected and unloved! Thanks for a PC of a loved entertainment place - and unique, too! Who ever thought of using a lodge theme (associated with cabins in snow) for a waterpark??
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the heart =)
Comment: Hi! Thanks for the great pc! So you really don't have seasons? That would be so strange to me! Although my hubby thinks a person would save some money! LOL! To answer your question - I really don't think I have ever had a day that I did not feel like I had "something" I had to do! LOL! Isn't that sad? Maybe I would just craft or read, but I do that even when I have stuff to do, so.... LOL! What would you do? What a great question! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: We do sort've have seasons, but the rainy one is the longest for sure!! Right now I'd love to sew a bag for my sister, get my hair cut, go to dinner with my boyfriend and stay up late talking and laughing. That sounds like a good day to me!! =)
Comment: thank you so much for all the notes and goodies! It was great getting to know you!! I'm actually a sophomore in college too! that's funny that we are both the same age! good luck with your studies!!
Response: You're very welcome!! And good luck to you as well =) Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love this vintage looking PC! And yes I am glad to be graduating, though I plan on going right to grad school! It feels like Im going to be in school my WHOLE life (lol) But good-luck to you in your Sophomore year! Thanks for the PC! :]
Response: I'm glad you like it! Classes start in two days, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll go well! Thanks for the well wishes =)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card. We have visited Oregon a few times since I have sisters there. One time we even hiked the Multnoman Falls, this card brought memories back. Oregon is almost as pretty as Colorado
Comment: WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing! This is definitely NOT a beginner's mail art! It is going to be my inspiration (if I EVER have the nerve to attempt another one of these mail art swaps!) Do you do an art journal? If you don't, you should! Your colorful doodles are terrific! Thanks so much... oh, and the postcard inside... well, it is going in with my FAVORITES!
I have boxes that I save various categories in with a FAVORITES box for the "extra special" cards, like yours... still trying to figure out how to display those... but they do get lots of views, by me! A single heart seems so in adequate for this extra super swap surprise... again, THANKS SO MUCH!
Response: Thank you! You made my day with your comments =) I've never really done an art journal or any mail art before, so I was nervous that my attempt might be...juvenile. But I'm so glad you like it! And I'm very excited that you like the postcard I included as well =)
Comment: This postcard really made my day - I actually HAVE been to Zion but DON'T have any pictures or postcards from that trip. It is THE most beautiful place I've seen in my life, and definitely my favorite Natl Park - thank you so much for this memory!!
Comment: Love the postcard of the Moorish King that you sent. What a piece of art! On the day your card arrived, I received 10 cards (yesterday) which is LOTS... usually it is much less unless we are away for a weekend trip. Can't wait to receive your mail art! Thanks.
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! The house I am living in now, we had to renovate. Took my family and I about 6 months, so much work!! There are a lot of weird street names in Las Vegas. The complex of house I live in, the streets are all named after storybook character :)
Response: That's so cool! It would be like living in a fantasy land =) Then again, it is Las Vegas ;)
Comment: First bit is that I like the card. It's cute. Yes, I do feel blessed to have been able to travel so much. It's a big part of my life and I actually get cabin fever bad if I dont take somewhat regular trips.
This member is very gracious and was a pleasure to have been able to get to speak with. Happy swapping. :)
Comment: The stickers are awesome! Thank you for the tip about the profile, my main reason for not making it too specific is because I just enjoy doing swaps! Anything I get is just a bonus :0) THank you again! what a great piece of mail to receive :0) :0)
Response: So glad you like them! Mail is the best, huh? =)
Comment: Thanks for your email! I enjoyed reading your answers! Haha - I also remember parts of The Brave Little Toaster (I assume that's the toaster movie you're talking about - there can't be more than one movie about a toaster right? ;) ) being really scary! Although for me it always brings back a vague memory of a girl scout sleepover at the museum - I guess we must have watched it then!
Response: That's the one! It's weird that they make kids' movies so freaky!
Comment: WOW I loved everything so much!! Those insect postcards are toooo cool... I don't think I'll be able to send them to anyone because I won't want to part with them! Where did you get those?! I've never seen postcards like that before! I also love the handmade envies! Oh and I got excited when I saw the envelope in the mail with the kinkajou (or whatever that critter is?) on it! Very cute!
Response: I'm so glad you like everything!! =) I don't know where the insect cards came from, but they were in a little booklet called Posta Insecta by Helen Buttfield. I think it might have been a slender loris on the envelope? I can't remember exactly. They're fun stickers, though!
Comment: Love this postcard! Hope your sister does/did well on her test...what was it for? Fresh berries sound heavenly--I have only been to one Farmer's Market and it was on horribly windy day so it wasn't the best experience. Plan to go again soon though! Thank you for the lovely PC :)
Comment: You have wonderful dreams and you'll reach them! Just keep working at it and you'll succeed. I think it's great that you're already learning Spanish and French in preparation of visiting those countries. Thanks for the postcard. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the cd !! wow we have somethings in common !! I lived in Vancouver, wa and frequently visited Portland!! Will be writing you back next week as I am working alot thanks a million :)
