Comment: I was sorting thru a box of mail and found your swap. So sorry for the delay in rating you. One of my goals for 2017 is to be more organized.
I hate see thru floors and very high buildings too I'd love to see a cross stitch ATC. It sounds adorable. And what's Marzipan? And what does a rural surveyor do?
Comment: Thank you! I'm sorry I've taken so long to rate. I've gotten behind and last month I was hardly at home at all, but things are slowing down a bit now. I enjoyed your letter and I'll write back as soon as possible!!
Comment: Thank you so much Emma Louise. I love the icecream mailart you made me! You stayed in the theme with the notecard:) I didn't finish yours yet but maybe that is a good thing; now I can answer your questions. Have a great weekend!
Response: Awww thank you lovely ! Looking forward to hearing from you =]
Comment: Thank you so much for the adorable kitty card, your letter and all of the extras!! I loved the photos of your sweet pets. I am writing back tonight after school. I will try and find photos to send, but I am in the middle of getting my house ready to sell and I will be visiting Costa Rica next week. I may just send a pc for now and write you a real response later on
Comment: HI Emma! I just got the reading log, I'll definitely be reading some of these. If you haven't read it I think you would really love Deerskin by Robin McKinley. All her books are great and have strong female leads.
Comment: Thanks for your recommendations. I have read the first 2 books of the Throne of Glass series. I haven't read the 3rd one yet, I keep finding other stuff I want to read, but I'll get around to it one of these days.
Comment: Hi Emma! Thanks for the fun share about what you are reading! Isn't it great when you find a series that you enjoy? I am always so sad when I get to the end of them as you want them to go on and on! LOL! Hugs, Happy Reading and Swapping! ;)
Comment: I got your letter today. I'm glad you succesfully completed and surpass your Goodreads Challenge :D
The "Alice in Wonderland with a twist" book seems really interesting!
Thank you for sharing :)
Comment: Thanks so much for your book survey. I really enjoyed reading it and there are a few books I will check out that you've read. Thanks as well for the lovely owl postcard. Happy New Year and Happy Swapping!
Comment: Hello Emma,
The PC is lovely, so much so that I could frame it and it really matches my interests so I appreciate your effort in picking that one. I also like the stamps. It's my first postcard from the UK. Yay! Have a wonderful 2016. -Diana
Comment: Thanks for your list! I love that The Night Circus made your favorites as well! I don't have her as one of my favorite authors just cuz that's all she has. I hope she puts something else out, I'd love to see if I love it as much.
Comment: Hi Emma! What a cute cat pc! I am not a huge cat person, but I have a few friends that are the crazy cat ladies in our group! LOL! One even scrapbooked her cats the one year at a weekend crop! LOL! I am so sorry you have lost both of your sweet fur-babies, they are family and I know it is tough! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Emma, I must say that I really enjoyed reading your Log. Well done for reading more than you set for your GoodReads challenge! I had a difficult summer which set me back, so I'm impressed. Thank you for the postcards, that's a sweet extra. I especially love Peter Rabbit. I enjoyed reading about the different books you read. It was good to see what you thought of some popular YA novels I've been hearing about. I am especially interested in A Discovery of Witches, and am glad to see that you really liked the series. It was also quite nice to get a swap from you this time, as I sent to you last time. The other side of the coin :)
Response: Aww thank you for your rating. =] if you want to know anything more on the books I've read please feel free to message me ! Thank you for the heart also
Comment: Hi Emma thanks for your nice letter & great bookmark & pc! I totally understand about your feeling for the book ... doesn't sound like my idea of good read either. I chose Girl On A Train & loved it. Glad you found another book to immerse yourself into!
Comment: Thanks a lot for your lovely card - I love tea, so it was perfect for me :) Also loved your stamps, stickers and pretty washi tape. And thanks for hosting this swap, it's one of my favourites!
Comment: Always love hearing from you and always love talking books with you too. I enjoyed reading your answers.I have read some of the books you have mentioned and agree they are good =D Happy reading and Happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for your swap! So much to say about it ~ I still haven't tried out the Alice in Zombieland series yet. It's on my TBR (love the covers!) but it just hasn't intrigued me enough to try it yet. One of these days! I just read Ink & Bone and really loved it! Mind Games is another on my TBR. I hated Discovery of Witches and it was a DNF for me half way through. I agree with Invisible Library. I LIKED it, but didn't love it. Thought it would be so much more. When I read Ink & Bone, I realized that's what I hoped Invisible Library would be like.
Comment: Thank you, I quite enjoyed reading your answers. It seems we are awaiting the same book :) I really Love Finishing School. I rarely read YA, but Gail Carriger is one of my favorite writers. Also, following your survey I marked Ink and Bone as "to-read". Happy swapping and reading.
Comment: Interesting choice! My brother was a redhead ( what I understand in the UK they call ginger) I was always jealous of his thick, wavy red hair. I had think straight dark hair and thought his so much prettier than mine, lol! Thanks for all!
Comment: I would love to meet KvD as well, she seems supernice and she could totally do my make up!! Also I need to get one of those coloring books, they seem to be on everyones blogs and IGs these days, I need one :D thanks for sharing, fun swap :)
Comment: thank you so much for the lovely letter! you definitely read more than i did! i'm stoked if i manage to read 2 books a month! so many of the books you read are on my TBR so i thank you for helping me decide which ones to bump up! thanks!
Comment: I did the translation OK but also tried the reverse translation which did not exactly come back word for word as you wrote it, which probably explains why the translation was funny..."if only the flowers were blooming when the blood has been spilled on them" (partial translation)! ha! now there remains some mystery in this quote! thank you for the Polish lesson.
Comment: Enjoyed your letter! Will send you some PCs as I read here that you enjoy getting those (and, frankly, I've hardly got time for writing letters with the toddler and newborn keeping me busy). Did you make the stationery? It's very pretty. :)
Response: I'm more than happy with a postcard and a little update with how you are =] yep stationery made by me ! Thank you for the heart !
Comment: Hello and thank you for the swap. sadly it arrived with the envelope damaged on the side, so only the letter and the beautiful drawing survived. bummer :(
Response: I'll get it sent out to you again then. =] I'm sorry it got damaged ! Edit: it's 3:30am and I'm looking at my phone for some reason and just realised which swap this was for !!!! I'm really rather annoyed. I put everything into that swap to make it the best I could and used some special stamps that weren't even mine but my other halfs grandad's !!! I hate postal service and there incompetence !!
Comment: I definitely need to get to this book a lot quicker! I so can't wait to read it and the rest of the series. I enjoyed reading your feedback on it. Thanks for the postcards and the lovely homemade bookmark =D I look forward to hearing about the next book in #7. Happy reading and happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely review of The Paper Magician. (sorry for the late rating by-the-way) When I chose for you to read the book, I actually started reading it as well. I finished the day I got your letter. It was nice to know that you liked it too. I'm also glad you chose The Glass Magician for me to read for the 7th round. I will tell you my thoughts in my letter :)
Comment: I love the stationary you made! Very clever with the water colors. I'm going to try that myself one day!! = ) I also love Cream Soda and Sea Horses. I enjoyed reading your letter very much! Hope you and Ozzy had a good week to yourselves!
Comment: Loved reading your letter - I'm so jealous that your bf is in France and that you're going to Bulgaria - sounds amazing!! Take care :) (Oh and on another note - the "Bend It Like Beckham" stamp is the coolest thing ever!)
Comment: Always love your stationery, the water colour style is sooo cute. Also found out we have a lot in common! Which is awesome :) Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all those questions!
Comment: Hello! A big belated thank you for teas and note you sent me last year! I'm trying to make amends for not raring on time - would rather it be late than not at all. You sent me a sweet kitten notecard last March - it was your pup's first birthday!! You said you wouldn't spoil him, but he looks quite loved! :-) I enjoyed my teas and the precious card. Thank you!! â¤
Comment: You read a bunch that's on my TBR. :) If you decide to give the Dorothy Must Die series another chance, the prequel really helps make it more understandable, at least for me. I know books are supposed to be read in release date order, but that was the one time I wish I had read the prequel first. I felt Dorothy Must Die was a little empty as well, because I didn't understand HOW she ended up that way. The prequel helped a lot with that and I enjoy the series. It's not my most favorite thing ever, but I'm keeping up with it.
Comment: Thankyou Emma for the journal, I look forward to reading it. I loved reading your entry in the journal, I hope you are feeling better Emma.I love the doodle art page and enjoyed reading your favourite 50 things I love. Have a nice day Emma, love Jennifer.
Comment: Thanks for your swap! I enjoyed reading it! I hope you enjoyed The Paper Magician. It's been on my TBR and I've heard mixed things about it. If you haven't read it, I'd be curious to hear what you think of Invisible Library when you read it. It's also on my TBR and I just haven't gotten to it yet.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I adored the paper magician and the sequel the glass magician. I got half way through the invisible library and had to leave it. It just wasn't doing anything for me unfortunately. =[
Comment: Thanks for the swap. That stinks that it got sent back to me, but oh well. I sent back to the person I received from in the USA version as well. It seems like swaps are going downhill.... we're trying to figure out something to do about it.
Comment: Received your artwork and letter! Thank you very much. Not sure where to put it yet but will find a spot.
Will reply to you some time this or next week.
About the tangle patterns: I have finished some more. But what is the latest letter you got? I can include some more.
Response: I'm glad it's got to you safely ! I have A B C of your tangle patterns. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Comment: Thanks Emma -- haven't read The Night Circus but yours is not the 1st recommendation ... so many books, so little time!
Response: I know the feeling. You recommended the discovery of witches to me I think along with a few others and I kept putting it off but when it finally came up in the Nov book club I read it and was totally addicted so I hope that you'll be the same with the Night Circus. Thank you for the heart
Comment: Whew! I was beginning to wonder where this swap was. Thanks for sending it. [Note: the postmark date on the envelope is December 30 although you marked it sent on December 15; the swap send by date was December 17.]
Response: I've had the same problem with another of my swaps which where all sent on the same day ! They where all sent either early or on the last day of sending. I don't understand =$ I'm going to go to the post office
tomorrow and speak to them ! Thank your rating ! Can I also make a note that over the Christmas period the mail slows down so it does take longer. Especially from the UK.
Comment: Sent 8 days late :-( But thank you for sending it and for your thoughtful response. Must have been neat to grow up with HP (the first one came out when I was in college, but I'm the same age as Harry). I haven't read the other two books you mentioned (and I assume you meant you never sent The Millionare Witch back to school instead of next sent it back to school?). Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the recommendation for the House of Night series (I've seen those in the library and wondered if they were good).
Response: Sorry it got to you late ! Post has been crazy coming in and going out !
Comment: Thank you for your answers, it was much fun to read. I think I would give a try to The Night Circus. It sounds quite well :) Also I liked the cover art for Alice in Zombieland , but I rarely like YA... Happy Holidays! And great Reading Year to you!
Comment: Thank you for your swap. I enjoyed reading about what you've been reading. I've looked into the Zombieland books, I've heard good and bad things about it, I might try it at some point. That cover for the 2nd one is beautiful!! I also read, or tried to read, A Discovery of Witches for the book club and I definitely didn't like it. It was too wordy for me and nothing happened. I ended up giving up on it just over half way through. Glad you loved them!
Comment: Emma, great letter -- you make me want to read Showalater/Alice series! I like the PC Cast series, but admit haven't read all yet. And someday I plan to read the Harkness books. Really enjoyed your letter! Thanks!
Comment: Thankyou Emma for the lovely wrapped socks and hot chocolate. I look forward to opening them.Have a Happy Christmas.I love the cute fox socks and I am going to sit and enjoy the drinks, thankyou Emma, love Jennifer.
Comment: Oooooo!! I will try to wait til Christmas but they keep telling me to open them...."Danniiii...open meee....you know you want to...." they say. lol! The postcard is soo cute!! Thank you lovely!! - 28/12/14 - Thank you so much for all the lovely things you included! ♥
Response: Your welcome lovely ! Glad you liked it all x
Comment: Thanks Emma, I do want to read the Harkness book, didn't think I had enough time this go-round plus I don't own that book & did own a Charlaine Harris so I read one of those (& I do like Sookie Stackhouse). Great swap! And you are very artistic -- love your bookmark!
Comment: I love the way that you did your list! And thank you for the dolphin postcard - I just love them :) (Oh, and speaking of facts - I'm a Gemini and a huge fan of "American Horror Story" too!) Thank you! :)
Response: Thank you for the heart ! It's nice to know someone else is a lover of American Horror Story !
Comment: I loved the presentation of your letter! It was very appealing to read, you put a lot of effort in it. The reviews were very usefull, I'been interested for a while in some of those books. I hope we'll meet in other swap! xoxo
Response: Thank you for your lovely comment and the heart ! I hope you found some great books in there ! X
Comment: Thank you for your swap. I really liked The Selection. I hope you like it when you get to read it. I started the Shatter Me series on audiobook but she made weird sounds when she scratched things out, so I'll have to re-try a regular book.
Response: Thank you for the heart! I can imagine that was rather annoying as the words scratched out are every other paragraph !
Comment: Hello again!! XD Thank you so much for your very colourful swap! I have the same kind of tastes in books. I do love YA and fantasy books! I'm going to look up the books you mentioned and add them to my own ever growing to read list!! XD Great swap! Thanks again!!
Response: Your welcome lovely ! Any books you could recommend are always welcome !
Comment: This was a beautiful package!!!! She made it into a booklet, like a story, with photos and drawings. I loved, LOVED, your artwork! Very wonderful presentation! I would definitely swap with her again! Thanks so much for a beautiful "day in the life" swap!!!
Response: Aww. Thank you for the lovely comment and the heart. I hope to swap with you again soon. x
Comment: I have never read Divergent but your review of it reminds me of the Hunger Games. Not just because they are similar dystopia books but because you said it was a shame about the last one. I felt that way about the Hunger Games..the last one wasn't a bummer. Anyway, thanks for sending. I had never heard of a lot of the books and authors you mentioned. Thanks for sending!
Response: The dystopia is quite similar for the hunger games and divergent from what I've been told ! I haven't read the hunger games yet.
Comment: Thank you for your swap, and thanks for joining the swap and CL!! I'm glad you are loving it so much! I wish you'd found us earlier too. It's a great group. I'm glad it's broadening what you read, it has for me as well!! I hope you continue to love it!
Response: I'm sure it will ! Thank you for the heart and for adding me to the group x
Comment: OMG such an amazing package of supplies arrived this morning from the lovely emma.
I love everything she sent. And that she also sent me a handmade page marker and amazing notecard.
Lots of thought and care put into the package. Thank you so so much hun :)
Response: Aww ! Thank you for the kind words I'm so glad you liked your package !
Comment: I enjoyed reading your answers. I do not know how you can read more than one book at a time. For me I would forget all about the first one I was reading. I have never read Divergent but it seems a lot of people in CL really like it - will need to make a note of it. I like quiet too when I read - noise just annoys me. Thanks for sharing!
Response: Thank you for the heart ! I've stopped reading more than one book now it's getting to much so know I have a list of ones I need to finish plus my next to reads !
Comment: Great answers, thanks for sharing! Have you seen the Neverwhere TV series or heard the radio version? Both are awesome, one has Peter Capaldi as Islington and the other has Benedict Cumberbatch in the role. Very yummy!
Response: No ! I didn't know that ! I'm definitely going to check that out ! Thank you and thank you for the heart
Comment: Thank you so much for your package. I love all the little things in there. The package also smelt sooo yummy when I opened it because of the tea., I haven't tried those before so I'm looking forward. to trying them :D And yes, I'd definitely love to be pen pals with you! I'd be happy to write the first letter as I'm off work this week :) I'll message you when I have written it :) Edit 01/07/14 - I just realised I didn't give you a heart! >_< Corrected now! XD
Response: Awww yayy ! I'm glad you liked it and sure thing ! Just let me know lovely and I'll keep my eye out for it !
Thank you for the 5 =]
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. Everything is exactly how P.C. & Kristen Cast describe it here. I go to Utica Square all the time to meet my friends for meals. I can only window shop in the stores because they are quite expensive. But it's a very nice place to go and hang out with your friends. If you ever get to come, please look me up & I would love to show you around.
Response: Thank you for the heart and the info on Tulsa !
Comment: Thanks for the washi samples! I can see why they are your favorite! I love the pink with the little bicycles on it :) the note card is fabulous also! Did you design it yourself? I saw a few other pics on Instagram that looked similar.
Response: Thank you for the heart and I love the bicycle one =] if it's the one with the pattern and paper logo on the back then yes it was designed by me ! Thanks again x
Comment: *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧OMG the envi is so kawaii! I should get it framed and on my wall! Can't wait to try the tea! Its wonderful to hear my profile help inspired the beauty of this letter!(â—´ω｀â—) Thanks so much!*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
Response: I'm so glad you received it safely ! I really wanted it to be personal and special for you ! Thank you for the heart !
Comment: Great swap - thanks for hosting! Loved reading your lists, and the post card was gorgeous, I love New York AND ballet, so perfect! Also, did you draw that card, was beautiful and so creative =) x
Response: Thank you for the heart and I'm glad you liked the postcard. Yes the notecard is one I've drawn and created. =] hope you enjoyed swapping x
Comment: Emma, thank you so much for all of your comments and likes on my profile, it was a pleasure to read it all and you're very lovely. I will follow you on IG from now on :) P.S : I still think that ice cream looked delicious ! haha xoxo
Response: Your very welcome lovely ! Thank you for the heart !
Comment: It's not sad, I was cheering too, when Harry caught the snitch. ^_^ Luna is my favorite also, she's always so dreamy/fuzzy, it's so funny. :-) It was a lovely notecard and ATC. Thanks for the great swap.
Response: Your Welcome Lovely ! Glad you liked it ! Thank you for the Heart !
Comment: Thanks a lot! Your recommendation is very specific! I'll try them later :) And I seriously agree this sentence " I really didn't want to watch it till I read the book first for me the book is better than the films"
Response: Hehe I know I hope you enjoyed reading threw it though ! Thank you for the heart !
Comment: Your parcel was great!!!!, thank you sooo much, I love everything! I love the fabric, I am going to sew a bag with it. All the supplies are very useful and, finally, I got some sharpies!!! Thank you very much, you made my day!
Response: I'm so happy it got to you and you like it ! Have fun !
