Comment: Thanx for sharing! I agree that seeing the live show is always better! I was able to see Les Miserables in London in 2017, and I cried from how good it was. The charm is cute; I especially like the horseshoe.
Comment: What a great glimpse into your side of the world. I couldn't have answered any of the questions about Wales like you could have. I would have lost that round on the game show. :) Looks like an intriguing game - have never seen it before. Liked how you are going to get the badges for the girls who can't afford them. Had to laugh at the same cards that your husband picked out last year and this year. At least he still feels the same way!! :)
Comment: Thank you SO much for all of the goodies!!!! I finally got the parcel today (had a nightmare trying to rearrange posting date with royal mail)
I especially love the bath salts (they smell so good!!), The heart lights, the fluffy socks and the guylian chica(my fave!!!). I've been meaning to try the cold infuse tea bags too!!
Thank you for putting so much effort into this swap, I really appreciate it and I hope you had a magical Valentine's!!
Comment: Great email. I agree about the Red Panda. What a cute pet that would make. I'm putting the Red Panda on my to-do list when I visit the Toronto Zoo next time.
And funny cat memes. I especially like the flat-earth one...so true. :D
Comment: Hi! I'm so sorry for the delayed rating! Thank you so much for sending the email again, by the way! I can't wait to listen to all the music you have listed!!! I hope you have an awesome week ^_^
Comment: Thank you for sending your answers. Admittedly, I toggled between a 3 and a 5 due to the swap being late. However, it was only one day past its deadline, and I appreciated the honesty about its tardiness.
Comment: Hi Res, thank you for sharing your answers with me. Especially enjoyed your answers on helping others. The Christmas shoe boxes for the elderly interested me as i have made up shoe boxes for children around the world but not the elderly. What a blessing you are to others. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.
Comment: thanks for sharing your list with me. i dont think I have seen any of them but i have heard of them. so I think i will watch them this year for Christmas, thanks for your inspiration. Happy Christmas.
Comment: You went above and beyond the resend. And this time, it arrived. I am leaving tomorrow for some days and I am taking the candy with me. YUM. (my favorite) I can read the notebook while at the hotel. Again... thank you for resending.
Response: So glad this one arrived safely and that you like what I put in. Have a nice trip. x
Comment: RE-RATED: Received your resend, thanks Ree! It’s a lovely letter and great souvenirs - you definitely did a lot of travelling! Hope you’re on your way to feeling better after a rough spell of life. 💗
Response: Thank you so much. Glad you got it safely this time. Things are looking up and I’m feeling a lot better than I was. x
Comment: Your music is not what I would usually hear, but I enjoyed your playlist very much though! My favorites are "Cake by the ocean" and "When we were young". Also a big heart for Queen and David Bowie! ;) Thank you for joining my swap!
Comment: Thanks for sharing! Definitely some old faves and some new stuff to check out in Spotify! Also, sorry for the late rate, I've been on vacation the last couple weeks and busier than I'd thought.
Comment: Thank you very much for the cornish pasty card! I’ve never heard of this before you told me about it. I’m sorry that you had to resend.. the original card might have gotten lost along its journey☹️ But i love this card very much! If ever, by some kind of miracle, I get the original card you sent, I’ll let you know 🙂
Comment: Thank you for sharing. I surely hope you did not get rid of those cute butterfly bags, they are adorable. Those small toiletries from hotels are great to use for traveling. But then only when you think about it to take them with you.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your random facts with me. Also, I absolutely love the Winterfell postcard, it's perfect! Do you watch Game of Thrones? I am House Stark all the way and everyone knows Jon Snow is my "boyfriend!" (I love him.)
Comment: What a sweet postcard! I love it :D I was a Brownie for a little while, once upon a time, and probably would've continued to be one for a longer period of time if we had had more to do. Sadly, the local troupe seems to be led by someone equally inept, or my daughter would likely be a scout. The leadership abilities (and crafting abilities, and willingness to exert oneself) of the leader make such a difference! Anyway, it's wonderful that you get to help girls learn skills and build confidence in themselves. Three cheers for you! :D
Comment: I love the church, old churches are so beautiful! I was never a scout myself but it seems like something my niece would excel in, I might have to look in to the local organization :) that Niagara photo is just gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Ree, Cornwall looks amazing. I've only read about it in books and they didn't do it justice. There are so many wonderful places to read about that I've followed your board so I can go back and really spend some time browsing!
Comment: It's so funny...your bag and it's contents seem somewhat average or plain, but I am SO captivated with the story behind them. I think what you do is so cool and inspiring, and good for you for packing the tools you need to do it! :)
Comment: Thanks for the email Ree! I had no idea about the Eden project, it looks like something I would be very interested in so thanks for sharing! Also, the Cornish Pasty looks yummy and I would also like to try Pimms.
Comment: What a lovely swap, Ree! Thank you for sharing so many photos of you and your family. It sounds like you all are very close, no matter the distance that separates you. Thank you again for sharing! :-) <3
Comment: Thank you for sharing your 10 things that make you happy with me. I love the girl guides! I use to be a Daisy leader here in the states. I really enjoyed reading your responses. Have a great day :)
Comment: Thank you for the pictures, Ree! I especially enjoyed seeing the ducks, your engagement ring, and that Valentine's Day card. :-) And I too shared crushed cans! :-) Thank you so much for sharing! <3
Comment: Hi Ree ! Thanks for a great card! I love Dr Who, especially the old ones . I also love old travel posters, especially the British Rail ones from the 1930s and 1940s. I feel like this is the best of both worlds. Thanks again Ree, Rory
Comment: Happy Belated Birthday, Ree! Sounds like you had a nice month. Congratulations to your friend on the birth of her new baby girl! I hope mother and daughter are doing well. I had to look up pyrography. . .sounds intriguing! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for your list of songs, Ree! Lots of songs I didn't know, but some that I did. :) Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" reminds me of my brother. It was one of the songs my mom sang us when we were kids, and he really loved it.
Comment: Great swap and fun photos, Ree! You're the second person to send me a purple-packaged chocolate photo, and the chocolates have been different! (I need to get myself some chocolate, I think.) :-) That little black lamb is so adorable! And that bar sign! LOL!!! :-) Thank you so much for sharing! :-) <3
Comment: I thought crochetug would be hard but once I got into it, I really enjoy it! I have an almost-finished bathroom carpet waiting for me to get onto it again :D I was never into scouts but a friend of mine from childhood has been a scut for almost 30 years! Thanks for sharing, I hope your rocks get to travel a lot :D
Comment: Thank you for sharing your note with me. If we ever have a swap together, I would love one of your crochet hearts! I was a Girl Scout growing up. It was so much fun! I love finding the painted rocks out and about. I hope to start painting some this summer!
Comment: Beautiful. I wish I lived there. Guess what my project next month might be! Very nice work. Thanks for sharing!
Response: Thank you. I’m glad it’s inspired you to try it out. There’s a USA Facebook group called ‘Love on the rocks’ and, if it’s anything like the UK, one, people share hints and tips about painting them and what materials to use and where to source rocks. x
Comment: I think its cool you got to meet a politician, I have met Tim Kaine of Virginia who is an excellent example of how an elected official should act. I have had the honor of campaigning for him as well.
Comment: Thank you very much for sharing your Christmas with me. I hope you feel better now. Very cute elf outfit ;) Happy New Year!
Ps. Thanks for resending. The first email probably got lost on its way to me...
Comment: Thanks for sharing. My mother used to work in social care and also participated in such meetings between biological parents and their children sometimes. Some stories that she tels are just heartbreaking. I hope that the new job will give you a lot of satisfaction. Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your list, Ree! I love the pictures you included. You and your husband look great together! And your cats are adorable! I totally agree with you on being grateful for books. And the internet! I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't get online. :-) Thank you, again, so much for sharing!!!
Response: Thank you for your lovely words. It’s easy to forget sometimes just how lucky we are so it’s nice to do gratitude lists as a reminder.
Comment: When I saw your name, I figured your letter would be about your honeymoon. I loved seeing your photos on Insta. The carpet and the ring are both beautiful! I will have a honeymoon to plan in the near near future. I would love for it to be Japan.
Response: Japan would be our dream destination but it was too expensive- one day though! When are you getting married? I hope your big day goes perfectly x
Comment: Thank you for recommending Last Seen Alive, Ree! I recently took place in a readathon called #Contemporaryathon and I might make this book a read for me when Round 2 rolls around! I don't read much contemporary, but this one sounds intriguing to me! :-) THANK YOU for sharing! :-)
Response: It was really good. Actually, do you need the book? I’m done with it and usually donate my read books to charity shops but I’m happy to send it to you if you like.
Comment: Congrats on the job!! It seems to be ahrd to find one these days so yay :) also I wish you well to your therapy, you can do it! (sorry for my late rate, I've been under the weather and fell behind on ratings)
Comment: Thanks for telling me a little bit about you! I too am a fan of online gaming, crochet, and "collect" crafting supplies... Mostly yarn.. Okay.. A LOT of yarn. I dont need it... but i _need_ it. haha.
Comment: I love the embroidery. I have always wanted to try that. I just finished a C2C blanket for my pup for the winter. I'm in the process of starting another one, but its a lot of colors and all the ends to weave.. ugh! lol. Thank you for sharing your photos :D
Comment: I love crocheting, it took me awhile for it to 'click' for me as well :) it's so fun though! And yes for another Pokemon hunter, it's so much fun even though there's not many new things to catch these days. Please give us an event Niantic! :D
Response: I know, though it's nice they are rotating the legendary hounds over the next few months. I still need to get an entai as I've not had much time so far this month to get out to raids.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely things! It was heaps of fun opening them, and I love them so much. Especially the 'something from my stash' gift, as well as the 'something new' gift. Everything was so lovely and I was so happy to receive it!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your journal of lists with me, Ree 🃠I especially liked the list of your favorite books - I think I'm going to add some onto my to-read books. Also, congratulations on your marriage! I'm wishing the two of you lots of happiness & love 🌹 I'm not currently looking for new pen pals but I'll keep you in mind c: You seem like a lovely person.
Comment: Thank you so much for your lovely card with a cute bears on it. My bigger one really loved it and so did I. I hope you feel better soon and I wish you a really fast recovery with your finger. All the best lots of love out of Germany, Nina
Comment: Sorry for the delay with rating, my profile explains it all.
Thank you for the Colouring PC #45, it is lovely. I agree, it's so much nicer having the butterflies outlined rather than coloured in. Much appreciated, cheers 😊💜
Comment: Thanks for a great postcard. I have seen the movie at least twice but never read the book. I've never gotten into the Agatha Christie mysteries, so it reminds me to jot a note to myself in my reading journal to remind me to try one to see whether I enjoy reading them.
Happy reading and swapping,
Comment: Congrats on getting married! Sounds like you had a nice wedding :) when my older sister got married we also did a lot ourselves, it was really fun and I know it meant a lot to her :) much happiness to you newlyweds!
Comment: Such a cute card. I love Ann of Green Gables! I've got a wonderful book on my Kindle of classic children's books, started with a Little Princess, moved on to the Secret Garden, then it's Ann of Green Gables and I'm only 6% of the way through.
Comment: I love the Penguin book cover! It takes me back to graduate school days when profs often chose Penguin Editions for novels as they were so reasonably priced! Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
Comment: Thank you for your e-mail, Ree! I enjoyed your descriptions and pictures. It was fun trying to match the items in the descriptions to the items in the pictures. :-) Thank you for sharing! And congratulations on your upcoming marriage! How exciting!
Comment: Congratulations on both of the things you shared, Ree! You're getting married this month?! When? How exciting!!! And that's great that you got your teacher qualification, and even more impressive that it's a national certification! Kudos to you! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: I'm so sorry for the delay in rating. I found this swap in a totebag in the closet. Thank you very much for the great swap. I would love to visit your town because I love scones with jam and sweet cream. There's a little tea shop in Manhattan that I go to for this sometimes. Oh and those stickers are just adorable.
Comment: Why is everyone sending me pasty and bread XD it looks so delicious! I was in London a few years ago and your swap reminds me of London so it was a pleasure to read it! I would love to travel the isles, there's so many beautiful places to see and things to eat :) also I miss Tesco, it was like heaven on earth XD
Comment: Thank you for these very cool pictures, Ree! My mother tells me that I have ancestors (and relatives?) in/from Cornwall, so your pictures and stories were especially interesting for me to see and read! :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
Comment: I think maybe you read my profile--if not, you still really chose cards I'd love. Thank you so much. Do you know the English translation on the kitten card? It's "Ich will au Dix!." I especially like the koala bears! Thanks for a great swap!
Comment: Glad you followed-through on the swap. I hadn't had a chance to look through my past swaps to see who had sent or not. ;)
Interesting to see the similarities and differences of other country's markets.
Comment: Love your stickers, specially the one 'I love Lucy'!!! It is my first time 'I love Lucy' item I ever got. Thank you so much!!! ♥♥♥
Ps. Did you make the kitties in the paper note? I love them too!!
Comment: Thank you for this recommendation, Ree! I See You definitely sounds intriguing to me. Happily, my library owns it, too! I have put it on a "shelf" for later check-out. :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for your card and terrific stamps! I love the variety you used. I had an enjoyable birthday. There was a good snowfall, had a good swim at an indoor pool and enjoyed eating cake and ice cream. I hope you'll have a marvelous birthday coming up!!
Comment: Such cuties! How awesome you got them from a shelter, there are so many lovely kitties there... I love the pictures of Flynn sticking his head in the puzzle feeder and the one of Claude in the box!
Comment: Just finished reading all your answers... we have some things in common! I love Anne of Green Gables, too! Have you read "The Blue Castle" by L.M. Montgomery?? If not, I think you would really like it. Thanks for all of your answers, I loved reading it all. :)
Response: I've not read that, but will look out for it. x
Comment: Beautiful stickers Ree!!!!! I am sorry I gave you trouble with my likes ♥ I do realized I must update my stickers and postcards preferences but you did amazing with wonderful stickers. Also I loved the way you made the envie... So clever that I will copy you ;-) Thank you for a fantastic swap!
Response: Don't worry, but I'm glad you liked them. x
Comment: Hej Ree,
Thank you for the owl postcard. Love it.
Have you moved? The last address I had for you was in Portreath, Redruth. If I send to Shortlinesend, Cornwall will it get to you or am I missing part of your address?
Response: I'm in Shortlanesend now. We moved here at the beginning of February. Though the address in Redruth is my OH's parents so I'd still get it. x
Comment: Cute cat and congrats on dechox, I couldn't do it though XD I love doing origamiflowers, made a wreath for my mother with the 6-part flower on the bottom left :)
Response: Thank you. I have two cats, but this pic was particularly cute. I enjoy origami but could never make something this impressive. I'm planning on making some origami butterflies for my wedding as decorations and possibilities favours too.
Comment: This ancient Britain stamp is one of my favorites. I was so excited that I got one! I moved into my new house in the middle of 2015 and have barely settled in. I think I'm just afraid that completely unpacking makes it permanent. I've never really lived somewhere permanently before
Response: I love those stamps too but looking forward to new designs coming out soon. We're hoping this place will be our permanent place now, we'll certainly for a good few years x
Comment: Loved the bookmark and the idea! I'll have to dig through my postcards for possible bookmarks. Thanks for the extra bits and I love the fish paper clip, did you buy that or make that.
Response: Thank you. I was worried it might seem a bit of a cop out. I bought the fish paperclip. I found a box of shaped paperclips on Amazon and I think there's about 10 different designs in the box.
Comment: WOW! Thank you so much for this wonderful swap. Everything was just so so cute!! I can't pick a favorite, I love it all!! I'm going to go check out the site that the bookmark and postcard are from, they're adorable. Thank you so much for a lovely swap.
Response: I get a lot from the Doodlecats websites. They've got some great stuff. I had so much fun picking these bits out for you.
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I had my first cream tea with scones and everything in a little cafe near Torquay. It was a small village where everything looked like a hundred year ago. I love tea!
Comment: First postcard I've received from the UK! :) Interesting enough, pasties were a favorite of coal miners that emigrated to the US (including my own ancestors) because of their compact size and were easy to wrap and eat by hand in dirty working conditions.
Response: So glad you liked it. That's an interesting fact about pasties x
Comment: Wow...I've not heard of three out of 5 of your favorite books! I'll have to add The Apothecary's Daughter, I Let You Go, and Room to my list of must reads. Thanks for the really awesome map postcard! It made my day.
Response: Glad you liked it. I love map postcards. Enjoy the books - they're all definitely worth a read x
Comment: Hi Re! Well of course i just LOVE the beautiful kitty pc! It looks like there is a link the Netherlands for information on the pc! It said stamped on your card Royal Mail and i love that too! You are in Cornwall! Kool! Loved the stamp that you put on the pc too! Isn't it fun to have furry friends! Mine are all feral and i did love them enough that they wanted to come and be with me. They have a great life as i am looking at them now. They are waiting for their dinners and they are having baked chicken tonight. Some of their favorite food. Loved the stickers too! I called Baba in and she sniffed the card so i am saying she is sending back kitty kisses to you and your kitties! Yes thank you for the New Year's wishes and back at you too! I am putting it up on the wall in the studio! I see the cards everyday! Thank you Ree!
Comment: Thanks for your pretty Christmas mail with the extras. My answers to the same questions were completely different but nevertheless - or maybe because of this- your letter was so interesting to me. Thanks.
