Comment: What an amazing and generous bunch of goodies! So many wonderful papers, ephemera, rubber stamping, and vintage images. I absolutely love everything and can't wait to get creative. Thank you so much! ♥
Response: Yippee! So glad you were pleased. Thanks for the rating
Comment: Thank you for the genuine and meaningful collection of vintage, rare, and interesting patterned paper that required some of your undivided attention and quality time to sort, organized, and de-stash. I am deeply touched and truly humbled and honored to have been your partner. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity. 💖❥💞❦💕❧💗♡💓♥️❤️❤💘ღ💝❣💘💚💟💙💜💛 εїз Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ ❤ ƸӜƷ εїз
Response: Wow, I'm not sure I deserved such high praise but I really did have fun putting it together for you. Many thanks for the rating and kind words.
Comment: First off, Linda sent me (4) articles total so she went over and above the requirements and they were all excellent ones too by the way! Her envie was so colorful and decorated that it definitely made it HAPPY MAIL! And, on top of it, there was a long letter enclosed as well. I'd rate this higher if I could. Thanks so much, Linda!
Response: Thanks for the personal message and for the rating. So glad you were pleased. Looking forward to your reply.
Comment: Lucky me - I got gifts from you again! Everything is wrapped in sweetly decorated envelopes that will be so much fun to open. Thank you so much for one of the best swaps ever!!💖💓💞
Response: When I saw that you were my partner for the third time I made sure not to duplicate anything, and in fact, spent more time trying to come up with clever gifts to surprise you. Sure hope when they've all been opened you feel I was successful. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Im curious to what may be inside, but I have put it away till Advent. Thank you for decorating the envelope nicely. Updated 12-19. Thank you for the washi samples (I do not have many kitty washi, so what you sent is so special), a postcard, a note card and recipe card. It was surely a nice surprise inside your card. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Great postcard! 50 Taters is on our list to visit! I grew up near there, and I keep telling my sisters we need to make a road trip.
Response: We ate there on their opening day and the waiter told us the story about their kiosk in the town square, baking 50 potatoes and staying open until those sold. So cool, right? So now we go out of our way to go by for lunch every chance we get. Thanks for the rating and I'm tickled pink you liked the card.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful gift card envies!! I can’t decide which one I like best! Maybe the mini scrabble letters “joy”?! They are all beautiful!!
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart. I had a lot of fun putting those together for you. My favorite was the alphabet beads spelling Fa La La with the jingle bell. Now I need to make some for my gift cards.
Comment: I love your lettering!! Cant wait to open it!!
Response: Thanks so much for the compliment and the rating!! I've tried to use a different alphabet rubber stamp set for your name on each mailing. I have about 20 different sets in all sizes and fonts that make addressing postcards and envelopes a LOT of fun.
Comment: Oh my! THIS is what I'm talkin' about!! (Your letter!) I got so excited, I wrote back before rating! LOL
Response: Big smiles here...so glad you were pleased As I said in the opening paragraph, I've had less than satisfactory experiences as well. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hi...got your card in the mail! Can't wait to open it in December...cheers!!!...oh my goodness....what a great gift filled with awesome goodies!!...thank you so much for everything...love the books notecard, cool washi tape, fun stamps and antique pics...I absolutely love 💕 the snowman Christmas card!...I have been seeing red cardinals at our bird feeders this month...the Christmas bird has arrived...hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!🎄
Comment: OMG! Thanks so much for the wonderfully packaged envies you sent. I love the envelope designs you used and how you used the tags. I can’t wait until the time comes for me to open each one. This is my first time doing anything Advent. Once again thanks! 💗
Response: I loved putting together this swap for you. Glad you liked all the envelopes and tags. Think you'll be equally pleased next month when you open them. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: The vintage postcards are awesome! And thank you for the ephemera - I'm making a big ephemera stash for the arts & crafts club I'm helping to host at my job (a middle school). We have 50 members so far! One day we'll make ATCs! Thanks!
Response: You're very welcome. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hi Linda! How wonderful to have you as a partner and thank you for sharing about the change in your life! Wow, that is a big one with moving but how awesome that you are so much closer to family! Hope we are partners again in the future! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks Girlie. I was tickled pink to have you as my partner. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Thanks Linda for the lovely envelope of goodies. Great news, everything you sent me I did not have, yippee. I absolutely love everything you sent & cant wait to use it all. Happy crafting & have a wonderful week, AnnaL.
Response: Yippee! Glad you were pleased. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: I love the note card and all the other goodies you sent. All will be perfect for cards and ATCs. Thanks so much. Oh, how exciting, you taught classes at Stampaway. I attended there once, a number of years ago, and loved it. I always wished that I could go back.
Comment: Hi Linda! Thank you so much for the awesome envies. I LOVED getting a long newsy letter along with them! As soon as I pulled the envelope out of my mailbox I noticed the stamped label you used and showed it to my kids. Now when I browse stamps I'll look for ones that can be used that way. :) Thanks for including some with my envies! As for places to visit in MI, I'm from the northern part of the LP and my husband is from the UP, so we think the best parts of MI are "Up North." lol But we live about an hour outside Detroit now, and if you're coming this way I would recommend the Detroit Zoo. They have an amazing polar bear exhibit. I worked there as a zookeeper while getting my zoology degree, and I love that most of their animals are rescues. Thanks again for a wonderful swap!!
Response: Thanks for the suggestion. So glad you were pleased with the envies and rubber stamped labels. I love mail art!
Comment: Hello Linda! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your letter (love the envie too!) and am going to look into all the books you mentioned (I was only familiar with Celeste Ng.) Unfortunately, my library doesn't have Walking Across Egypt although they have several of his other books!! I'll have to seek it out used! I would love to write back to you! Thank you!
Response: So glad you enjoyed it. I'd love to hear from you so do write. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty postcard (and I love the cute little duck stamp!) I hope you're enjoying your motor home trek. I haven't read the book you mentioned, but I'll look it up- I'm always searching for something new to add to my "to read" pile! :)
Comment: Oh Linda, this was just wonderful! No rain, so the envelope was perfect. I love these kinds of photos, I always try to get at least one fun shot in with my shoots, the kids are usually more amiable than the adults but it's still worth it. We do mini road trips or I drive to different air ports when my best friend comes to visit and we have little adventures like we're not too old to know better. Your stamps are right up my alley, I love sarcastic, quick-witted, tongue in cheek humor. This swap genuinely made my day, thank you!
Response: Glad one of the two I sent arrived and you were pleased. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Thank you so much for your swap, I really enjoy your journal, YES, I do journal BUT not as good as you do it. My journals are mostly writing, washi, and stickers, and some print outs LOL. Thank you for the option of reusing I love to reuse, I actually have a junk journal I am working on for 2018, just from the mail I get, I am half way thru it. When I am done with reading your journal I would love to write you a letter, in a response, I feel bad not sending you anything back when you put such time and effort into your swap for me. See you at the mailbox Blessings!!! P.S YOUR journal will NOT be reused in fact its going in my hall of fame ;)
Response: Woo Hoo! So glad you were pleased. I thought I'd made you a nice sized journal until I started filling it. I suspect you can remove a few of the questions and answers and it will close, particularly the ones hidden in pockets. Thanks for the lovely comment and rating. I look forward to hearing from you!!
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful letter. I'll have to sit down after the kids are in bed and finish reading it, but I wanted to go ahead and rate you. Love the way you decorated the envelope, and the extras you tucked in. Happy swapping! // Here to expand my comment after reading your fabulous letter. I had such fun reading it! My husband & I plan to buy an RV & travel when he retires (though that is still 20 years away) and reading about your travels sounded like exactly what we want to do. I'd also love to take a class sometime! Unfortunately nothing like that is offered in my little town. On the map, look for Owensboro (near the IN border) and then go to the southwest just a tiny bit and you'll find us... if we warrant a dot on the map! We have a population of 459 so it's doubtful. If you enjoyed the Longest Yard Sale, look up http://www.highway41yardsale.com as it is a 150-mile yard sale that happens annually at the end of June. It goes through neighboring counties so I usually do hit 30 miles of it or so. It's quite fun!
Response: Thanks for the rating! Hope you enjoy the rest of the letter.
Comment: Hello I am so sorry for the late rate, I just received your envelope just this morning. You didn't have your swap labeled from what I could see , but that's ok, I loved your letter and the labels you sent thank you so much. I hope to write you back within the next week. Have a great week.
Comment: Received 3/3/18!!!!! I love everything in the enive and it was put in the wrong box a couple of times from the looks of the handwriting on the envie! Thank you so much and I'm so sorry for the late rating as I just got it!
Response: My word, thank goodness it arrived. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Thank you so uch for all the work you put into the bookmarks. One is already in use,
Response: So glad you were pleased. Did you prefer the tassel or without, in case I do this swap again. Curious minds want to know. I preferred the smaller mixed media one with paint on top of text from book pages.
Comment: Hi Linda! Your pc was decorated so awesome! Wish I lived closer to you, so I could get some tips! LOL! Of course I loved the vintage pc as well! It was nice to swap again! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Linda...thank you for the fun notecards and sooooooooo many!! Love the stamped adhesive hearts too...all tucked in such a cute handmade envie to complete my happy "snail mail" surprise in my mail box!! Thanks for the fun swap! Bring on the spring, Charlene
Response: Thanks for the rating. So glad you were pleased.
Comment: Thank you for such a great swap! Loved what you sent and especially the rubber stamped images on sticker...how creative! I also love the tiny frogs! Will definitely use these items. Enjoy your day!
Response: Thanks for the rating. Tickled pink you were pleased with everything.
Comment: First, I love how you decorated the envie! I love the vintage postcard too! It was such a a treat to read your letter! I had blue hair about 20 years ago! Ha! I can't believe it's been that long! Are you on Ravelry yet? It's a great way to geek out over crochet and knitting patterns and projects. I've been busy knitting a shawl and crocheting a small pouch these days. Glad you picked your hook back up! Anyway, thanks again!
Response: So glad you were pleased. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Oh my, I'm feeling completely spoiled! I love, and I will use, everything that you sent. I really enjoyed your letter; I liked hearing about your travels and t-shirts...thanks so much for your thoughtfulness!
Response: Yippee! So glad you were pleased! Thanks ever so much for the rating!
Comment: Hello Linda,
Thank you for the beautiful vintage linen postcard. I love it! This username is actually one I have had for a very long time now...way before I started swapping. It's a constant reminder to myself that no matter what anyone else says, I am all the evidence that I need to know that God exists and that he loves me. Thanks for the query.
Response: So glad I asked! Thanks for the rating and heart. Glad you were pleased.
Comment: Thank you fro the PC. The scrabble letters are so cute! My brothers use to work for a land survey company in Apex, small world. I was born out in Lenoir, near Hickory. Hope you survived the Ikea trip. I always need a day to recover when I go there!
Response: Small world indeed! Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hi Linda! Thanks so much for the nice note (letter, really). I'll certainly write you back and am adding you to my reply que. Be aware that I do have a backlog though so it may take awhile. (It will be a true surprise for you when I get to it, I guess. lol ) Happy Swapping!
Response: Thanks for the rating! And definitely add me to your list.
Comment: Linda, the minute I saw my address on this postcard, I knew who it was from! I love the little note between the lines - that 'not the actress' made me laugh out loud. You make even a simple postcard beautiful with your colorful message and the art you put into it. Thank you so much for making my day with your mail art!!! PS - I think I saw 'Alice' wearing those sunglasses at one of our family reunions!!! LOL!
Response: So glad you were pleased! My middle name is Alice, which is why I bought that card. Thought she might get a smile if not a chuckle. Thanks for the rating. Hope we swap again.
Comment: Thank you for the letter. I enjoyed reading it🎄I will write back later this week. If you want to see some of my Junk Journals, I have a YouTube channel that I share them on. The channel is Mindy Langevin.
Comment: You are so kind to have read my profile and chosen things that you thought I might like :) And, I do! I absolutely love the stamped faces and I am intrigued and inspired by how you have put them together. They are definitely going to be featured in my art journal and I will have to look around at my stamps to see how I can do something similar in the future. I also do stamp carving and I might use some of these for inspiration...What a great swap, thank you!
Response: I used the washi tape to hold them in place through the mail. Otherwise they all cluster in one spot in the envelope and cause damage going through the machinery. SO SO tickled that you were pleased!! Woo Hoo! Your rating is like a bonus Christmas present, so thanks for that!!
Comment: Linda, the dog Christmas card has to be the cutest card I have received all season. Thank you for the postcard and bookmark. I would not even know where to start making all those party mixes and loaves of bread. It looks like you have it down to a science. People must love your gifts, I know I would. I love to read. The kindle hinders my reading, I can't change the pages fast enough. I am a woman of all trades, I crochet, knit, embroider, tat and of course sew. I used to design and make my own clothes in the 60's. That was when gowns and long dresses were in style. Being tall, I never could find anything long enough. I am now 75 or will be in a couple of weeks. I have slowed down considerably and find I do not have the patience for very intricate work any more. Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the nice letter and cute scottie dogs Christmas card! I will enjoy the ephemera for my projects and love the cute stamps you used on the envelopes. I've been stamping for 30+ years. ♡ Safe travels in 2018!
Comment: Thank you for all the stocking stuffers! Boy my stocking is going to be full this year! Thanks for the extra holiday card and stickers too! Happy Holidays!
Thank you for the amazing magnet, adorable bookmark and sticky notes! Love them all!
Comment: Linda, your envelope was a delight from the time I took it out of the mailbox until I had examined all of the contents! I loved the scrabble tiles for my name in the address and the colorful tape you used as a border was a beautiful touch. The Christmas tags are adorable, and I'm sorry, but I can't part with them to use them on a gift! LOL! The stickers are perfect and much appreciated, and the card has the touch of whimsy that I love! The icing on the cake was the Christmas card with little dog in the Santa hat and with your wonderful note inside! Your husband and you are doing the traveling that I would love to do! Thanks so much for the great swap!!!
Response: Yippee! So glad you were pleased. Thanks for the lovely comments and rating.
Comment: I came home late last night and this morning opened the pile of mail I got. Thank you for having patience in my rating. I appreciate you putting together snowman stickers, rubber stamp, ink, 16 page journal, note cards, 2 individual drink packets, 5 mini candies and some birthday tags. I will find, quickly, uses for them all (of course, hubby took candy to work with him already). Thank-you and Happy Holidays
P.S. I have not seen Wisdom of the Crowd, but placed it on my list to watch.
Your lifestyle of "touring" the U.S. sounds exciting. Have many adventures.
Comment: Hi Linda! Wow . . . you certainly know how to send a make ME happy mail! I love love love what you sent! All those great stamps--just waiting for me to use them! AND a vintage postcard with deckle edges--be still my heart! I must compliment you, too, on the beautifully decorated envelope--all those amazingly quirky stamps! I'm so envious of your collection! Thank you bunches and wunches ;+)
Response: Thanks for the rating. I always enjoy sending happy mail!!
Comment: I received this swap and forgot to rate it I am so sorry I am looking forward to opening them. I put all my gifts away to open at Christmas. I loved the way you stamped the bag I never think to do that and I really should it makes things more exciting Thank you so much for making this a fun package to open!
Response: Yippee! So glad to know it arrived safe and sound. Thanks for the rating Girlie! Enjoy!
Comment: Great card!!! Thank you very much. It sent me searching on the internet for more info about it. Yes fabric bowls for use in microwave and glass or ceramic bowls. No getting flat pot holders. Elementary scheduled to return 2018 and fewer episodes. grrrrrrrrrrr
Comment: Linda, thank you so much for your letter! It was great getting to know you! I'm so jealous you get to tour the country in your Winnebago! And you were in my neck of the woods last month! We do have an IKEA near us but we rent so I haven't actually gone into it yet. As for crochet, I dabble a lot. I've made a few baby blankets, a couple scarves, some amigurumi, etc. I'm sorry to hear you struggle with Celiac! It feels like gluten is hidden in everything!
Comment: Thank you Linda - you sent me really funny "music pause" PC for the swap. Hoping you are continuing to enjoy your retirement, driving around in your RV. Your PC was mailed from Raleigh, NC, will you be traveling to SC, and maybe down to the far south states for the winter? My late husband & I did that, a great RV park is Surfside Beach, SC, just south of Myrtle Beach. Happy October!
Response: We went down to FL in Feb and again in June and July. Not sure we'll go again this year. I used to teach at a store in Surfside so we might just check that out since it's about 3 hours from us. Great to hear from you. Headed out again shortly if we can decide where we want to go. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Omgoodness, I am in love with your letter! I love the way you put it all together and I have never seen it so yes of course I'll be copying you! lol (Well that is if I can) Thank you so much for the wonderful substance of the letter as well! Your awesome! Thank you!!! THANK YOU!!! Thank you!!!
Response: Smiling after reading your rating. Do hope you'll choose to write back! And thanks for the rating!!
Comment: I am a little behind on my ratings, but I just opened your lovely package of letters and I just read your introductory letter. How fun it must be to travel on an RV. I look forward to reading all of the other letters as well!!
Response: Thanks. Sick as can be for the last week so we've had to postpone our adventure. Hubby is at drugstore now picking up antibiotics and inhaler. Hope you enjoy all the letters.
Comment: Hi Linda! I wish I could you give you tons of hearts! Thank you so much for the awesome flipbook - I love the design and will have to copy you!! The true form of a compliment from what I hear! LOL! I enjoyed your letter and hope you have a Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year with your and yours! Safe travels to FL when you head that way as well! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Woo Hoo!! So glad you liked it. I had so much fun making it that I've made several more now. Thanks for the rating too. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Thank you for the cool artsy postcard. I love the rubber stamps you used on it too! Hope you warm up soon, here in GA we have rain for the first time in 2 months, and with wild fires raging in the northern part of the state, we needed it! Happy Holidays :)
Response: Woo Hoo! So glad you liked it. Your rain is now here.
Comment: Thanks for the mask postcard! I do like it a lot! New Albany is on the east side of Columbus - opposite of Dublin! I like the the antique stores up in Delaware, OH - is that where you go? Thanks again! : )
Response: I've never been to Delaware OH. Never even heard of it. There are more than a dozen antique malls and antique shops on High Street in downtown Columbus near the German Village area. Ever been there? I teach classes at the Embassy Suites in Dublin at an art retreat called Artiscape.
And when I'm not in a classroom, we're either in the antique stores or the bookstores.
Comment: Thank you for everything I love all the stamps you made for me and yes I'm going to use them. Zazzel is a company that sells postcard I'm not sure why some people don't like them or why we can't use them in swaps so I stop buying them but I still have a lot of them. Maybe one day someone will explain to !e why. I do love the postcard you sent thanks again.
Response: Glad you were pleased. Thanks so much for the rating.
Comment: I love the envie sooo much! I will definitely use it in my journal🙃 Cute wrapping and tag! In my stocking now. My fingers are itchy. Lol
your envies so much, but my name is Janel not Janet 😋 Sooo nice to get two envies!!!!
Response: Oh my, I'd better find my reading glasses. Sorry about that but thrilled you were pleased. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thanks for the facial scrubber, Thank you for the portfolio, with all the wonderful tuck ins! I'd love to make one, someday. I love the way you decorated it, funky art style! Thanks for the envies, and I love the stamped ones so much!
Response: Oh good! Thanks for the rating and I look forward to hearing from you again.
Comment: thanks for a cute swap!!!I can never wait to open. I am like a kid at Christmas!! Loved your nice swap and thanks for sending such cute items!!!
Response: Well at least you're honest about it. I love saving mine and then realize the day after Christmas that I have gifts to open. Far better than getting out in the madness of after Christmas sales traffic and crowds. Did all the stickers on the envelope survive the transit? Thanks ever so much for the rating!
Comment: Hi Linda - Thanks so much for the wonderful Tarot Cards. What a great selection! You are a sweetheart for sending the extras and I love, love, love the Luau PC. Thank you for a very special swap. Take Care -Vanne
Response: Glad you were pleased. I love partners with great profiles, giving me lots of ideas for bonus goodies. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hi Linda, I'm so excited! I got your swap today and I'm in love with this journal. Thank you! As I opened each page like a Christmas present, I was just overwhelmed with how much time, effort, and creativity you put into this project. It's absolutely fabulous and is such a learning opportunity for me. If you don't mind, I'm going to send you a message so this doesn't get too long here. Thanks again! ðŸ˜
Response: Tickled pink that you're pleased. Thanks for the lovely comments and the rating.
Comment: Thank you so much for your wonderful letter and all the great extras! I hope you are really enjoying your camping. We had a camper several years ago and we enjoyed it but our job situations got so we never had time to use it and when they just sit they start having things go wrong and we are not fix it ourself people. Have fun!
Response: We went to a local lake (state park) last weekend and to the coast this weekend. So far, so good. Thanks for the rating and heart!
Comment: Oh Linda...I wish I could give you more than a heart. I so adore this doll, every time I look at her I smile, she makes me very happy <3 Thank you too for the crocheted face scrub thing...what a great idea and a brilliant way to use up those scraps. I plan on getting a letter out to you soonest. Thank you!!
Response: So glad you were pleased! Looking forward to your letter.
Comment: Thank you for thoughtful note and washi and extra goodies! Your rubber stamp collection must be amazing. My mom owns her own business (making clay flowers) and her garage is her studio and there are supplies everywhere. But when you find your happy place, it all makes sense I'm sure. I hope you enjoy your travels and congrats on retiring!
Comment: Thanks for the great Mail Art and extra's, very interesting letter, I enjoyed it.I have about 500 rubber stamps, thought that was a lot LOL. Our card parties are where we play cards, eat and have chinese auctions, no card making involved :)
Comment: Apologies for the late rating. My husband had surgery here in Erie, a lot of things went wrong and we ended up at Cleveland Clinic. We just got home Sat June 2 to a PILE of mail. Thank you for the postcard
Comment: Hi Linda! Thank you so much for the wonderful Monday Happy Mail! I love the insert into the card - very clever! Of course everything else was awesome as well and sure help put a smile on my face after a very long rainy commute to and from work today! Yes, we have exchanged pen pal letters in the past - you are really busy though so I can sure understand it being tough to keep up!! Thanks again! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: So glad you were pleased and it was great to swap with you again.
Comment: Thank you for the great Hundertwasserhaus card (I would love to visit in person one day :) and adorable bird stamps :) Rubber stamps have been one of my favorite thing since childhood, and I agree, swapping is something I look forward to daily and has brought some light into my life. Hope you have a great week!
Response: Thanks for the kind words and great rating.
Comment: What an incredible package! The envelopes are lovely, but it's really the stickers that made it special. I love them! It has inspired to me think about possibly creating my own stickers for mail and packages. Thank you so much!
Response: So glad it arrived in good condition! Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hi Linda! Thank you for the vintage pc from Venice! Have been there and it looked a lot like the postcard showed when i was there! Amazing! Took me back. Kool that you had such an awesome weekend! Loved hearing what you did! Thank you!
Comment: Awesome journal and extras. Thank you. I love it.!!! 💙💙💙 💙💙💙 💙💙💙
Response: So glad you were pleased! I found those small interdepartmental envelopes in CA while shopping in antique stores and couldn't resist buying 25 of them. Your journal is the first time I've used one. Many thanks for the rating!!
Comment: Thanks for everything you sent! The butterfly stickers are so pretty and I love all the purple on the notecard. I also really love the notecards you made. I may have to try doing something similar!
Response: Glad you were pleased. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: @rbrstmpr thank you so much for all the wonderful goodies that you sent!! I was so happy to see the Raleigh cigarette coupon!! It brought back great memories of my Mom who has been gone almost 5 years
Response: You're very welcome. My dad's been gone 40 years and I can still remember him saving those too.
Comment: Received your very nice package today and the P.O. is asking for 22 cents overdue postage because of the bulk of the envelope saying it had to be hand cancelled. Love all the nice extras but would rather you leave them out then have to pay extra postage.
Response: How odd since I mailed it at the post office and the clerk didn't think it needed extra postage. will put a $.22 stamp in the mail to you today.
Comment: Thanks for the pretty PC - the style of the building is one that I really like. Yes I have read The Husband's Secret and like you had to stay up to finish it. Have you read the books by Ace Atkins who took over the Robert B Parker "Spencer" novels? Very good and really can't tell the difference which is why he was chosen by Parker's wife. Thanks again for the pretty PC and hope to see you in more swaps ~~
Response: I have read the ones by Ace and it's just like picking up any Spenser novel. Have you read any of the Dick Francis mysteries, or the ones being written now by his son Felix? They're excellent. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card and note. I don't get to make enough jewelry to sell actively anymore. I am a workshop coordinator and teacher where I work so I get to teach all kinds of paper crafting. I used to teach jewelry making as well, but paper arts have kinda replaced the jewelry work I used to do. Oh, and i love the names of your dogs!
Comment: What a magnificent bunch of envelopes! They're almost too pretty to use, but I will find a way :) All of the little extras were so thoughtful. Thanks for actually taking the time to read my profile. And the long letter was the icing on the cake! It's funny how many people pass through the Northern VA area at some point, or know someone who has. I think it's fabulous that you teach multimedia classes. Wish I could take one. If you ever offer them online, please let me know!
Response: So glad you were pleased! Just makes my day. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Linda, absolutely adore my pocket letter. Awesome. And naturally your letter was great as well. I too am crazy about Halloween...but don't have too many rubber stamps, etc. Budgetary constraints. Thank you for a fabulous swap, and looking forward to reading your next letter. Many hearts!
Comment: What an amazing swap. Two things, well you sent multiples of that number and all were great. On top of the contents your envelope made me smile, still does. And the great batman stamp topped it all off. So sorry of the delay in rating.
Response: Whew, just glad to know it arrived. Especially since you were pleased. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you, Linda, for the lovely envelopes that you sent me for this swap. I wish I could make them as nice and neat as you do. Any secrets you can share? Thanks again! pobuffy
Response: I use The Enveloper; ever heard of those? They're made by The Crafter's Companion, a British company. Sara, the owner, gave me 25 of them to use in my classes and they work like a champ! The book tells you the size square to begin with and which lines to score on, and you're done except for folding on the scored lines and adding the tape.
Comment: What a gorgeous autumn PC! The colors are so beautiful! WV is a beautiful state but then I think there's beauty in every state. . . but WV is like VA in many ways with the lushness of trees. My house backs up to a wooded area so I get the changing of the seasons and I love watching the leaves turn the various colors. This year has been dry here so I'm expecting them to turn sooner this year. Thanks for the lovely autumn PC and happy swapping ~~
Response: Fall is my favorite season with all the leaves changing color. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Hi Linda! Thanks so much for the great Tarot Cards and all the wonderful goodies! I love everything and I am really excited to add them to my collection. Thank you so much for joining the swap I hope you had fun. Take Care -Vanne
Response: I loved this swap and received some mini cards as bonus goodies that I'd never seen before. would definitely do this one again!! Glad you were pleased and thanks for the rating!
Comment: Like the tiny slip inside your glassine envelope says, " Thank you You have made this a perfect day." What an abundance of wonderful items you chose that perfectly fit my profile! Classy bicycle and typewriter images; delightful Washi tapes, vintage flash cards, all those tiny curiosities and more, mailed in a well-decorated envelope! Thank you so, so much!
Response: Tickled pink that you're happy. Your profile was like a shopping list, and I was thrilled to have so much to share because we have so much in common. Thanks for the great rating.
Comment: Oh, your letter is so awesome. I haven't read the articles and they look great, but I seriously doubt that they can beat the letter that you wrote! I love the bookmark and the graphics too. I wish you had a show here...I could sure use the stamping help lol. So many hearts to you. We do seem to have alot in common!
Comment: Hello! I received the card first, and the PL came about 3 days later! It so awesome, it had lots of goodies. i love the stamped images - it almost looks like they've been printed, it's so clear. What brand of stamp pad do you use? of course there is the skill factor too. Thank you so much - can't wait to use them - i see so many new things i've not seen before. And you gave me ideas for my next PL. Thanks
Response: So glad you were pleased! I use Ranger's Archival Jet Black ink on everything and even provide those ink pads to the students in all my classes. I also prefer matte kote cardstock which gives a crisp image. And you can watercolor all my stamped images without fear of the ink bleeding. Again, so glad you were pleased. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Great envelope and very fun images inside. Thank you for such a nice letter. I can't imagine that many stamps in one place. If you ever do a class in the DC or Northern Virginia area- let me know. I would be extremely interested in attending.
Response: Thanks for the comment & rating. So glad you were pleased. And if I'm up your way, I'll let you know. Just taught a class on mail art in FL last week and discovered 2 swap-bot members in the class, including one I'd sent a pocket letter to recently. How cool is that?!
Comment: I adored the letter! I promise, you did not ramble. I will write back when I can. The conversation about books, daily living, and historical references is all too good. I will definitely send something your way. I hope you are having a good day!
Response: Thanks Girlie, I'm looking forward to it.
Comment: Hi Linda! Good to hear from you and thanks so much for the awesome letter, and stamped goodies! Will write back soon - I have to catch-up after being away for the weekend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hi Linda! I have good and bad news... bad news - no smiley faces :( Good news - I LOVE the post card! I'm going to add it to my newest (PC) collection - UNESCO world heritage sites! Thank you so much! :)
Response: Oh, that's too bad. I hoped the stamping would attract their attention. But I'm glad you liked it, which is more important anyway. Thanks for the great rating.
Comment: Thanks SO MUCH for the great pocket letter with wonderful goodies, stamping, letter, etc.! I think it turned out great and I don't think there is a 'wrong' way of presentation! I enjoyed the letter and I think you have swapped with me before because I was so impressed with your stamping skills! Skinny swaps are just slightly larger ATCs. I also love zinnias and pansies and have both every year. Thanks again - wonderful swap! :)
Comment: Your pocket letter is wonderful, Linda. Thank you so much! I love the jokers and all the other little goodies. The same thing happened to me on my first PL. I spent a lot of time on it and apparently it has never made its destination. What's up with the P.O.? Oh, and I love the hamburger label!
Comment: Let me just say "I am totally blown away!!" I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up for this... I have lots of stamps but don't use them and most are pictures and I struggled so much on what I sent...
I LOVE everything you sent. You are a Stamping Pro!! Have a great weekend. If I could give you a bucket full of hearts I would. thanks so much!!
Response: Ooh, I'm tickled pink you're pleased. Rubber stamps are such an important part of my life, so any excuse to share is a treat. Thanks for the great rating!
Comment: Hi Linda! Great to hear from you and thank you for all the goodies! I found your letter very interesting and when I recover from the Vegas trip, I will be writing back! LOL! My body is feeling every bit of it's age today! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Oh my, I LOVED your first ever washi hello card. Even my husband loved it. So colorful & fun!! Plus, I really enjoyed your letter that you sent and really would love to write back to you and share similar experiences of teaching and retreats & such.
Response: I'd like that a lot. Please do write back.
Comment: Hi Linda! Love the pc and thank you for the random fact about the cucumbers - it will not put me off of them though, just love the fresh ones from the garden! Yum! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: OMG!!! I feel like young Harry potter under the stairs, when all the letters came to his uncles house!!! So awesome- you are wildly creative, love the idea of separate envelops, I will borrow it if you don't mind. I can't wait to send you a letter. your letters were so fun to read and interesting, you have a fantastic life. 😃
Response: Can't tell you how excited I am that it finally arrived. I had so much fun with this swap and do hope you'll write back!!!! I'm pretty blessed, that's for sure. Can't wait to hear from your little corner of the world.
Comment: Beautifully decorated envelope full of truly sweet and lovely notecards, stickers & stationary. Obviously looked at my profile carefully and I felt like it came from someone who knows me. My favorite was the watercolored post card with the bare trees. Thank you for making my first swap feel wonderful!
Response: Oh, I had such fun choosing for you. Tickled pink you were pleased!
Comment: Wow! What a fantastic little journal :D I was so curious what mine was going to look like and you really made this book specially for me. Every little detail is so beautiful. I'm going to treasure it <3 the colorful butterfly stamp, tiny envie of postal stamps, witch's card and the punchinella themselves deserve at least 30 hearts. I would have bought this journal in a store if I'd seen it.
Response: Woo Hoo!! Thanks so very much for the rating and high praise! It's much appreciated.
Comment: Hi Linda, Thank you for the Nevada post card. And I have really been enjoying swap bot too. Work is making things a bit harder and a move coming up, but the creative fun is what keeps me happy!!! Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving, darla
Comment: Hi Linda! I love the card. We had beautiful leaves this year too, and our first snow was this past weekend. :C Boo. If you're interested in a private swap, I'm game! I don't have a lot of matchbooks but I do have postcards, stickers, and paper goods. (: Let me know!
Comment: I did watch The Closer and was worried that I wasn't going to like Major Crimes but I love every second of it. It's coming on it's new 'season' next week and I can't wait. (Boy my DVR is going to be full with all the shows I can't watch all at one time. I'd love to share crochet patterns sometime too. I'll have to start digging. *evil wicked grin and starts digging in stash now* What do you like?
Response: I've made mostly toys and afghans. Remember when pantyhose used to come in those plastic eggs? I sold a ton of baby rattles that looked like elephants, cats, etc. have a great pattern for teeny teddy bears that are wildly popular!,
Comment: Hi Linda, I took my time opening your delightful envelope and savored the contents piece by piece. Tis really was "an extra special package", I loved the ephemera - so precious! And yes, we've been rubber stamping for many years, too. Many thanks.
Comment: I love your thoughtfulness in selecting this card. It does remind me of my fall vacations with my girlfriends. I can't wait to show the girls. Your fun facts are awesome-I have questions and comments for all, but space is limited. Are these Halloween freehand or stamps, they are too fun! I hope that your mailbox overflows with wonderful surprises.
Response: Rubber stamps...I have 183 for Halloween alone! So pleased that you liked the card. I too thought it was too perfect for you.
Comment: Thank you for a great mail art envelope and for the lovely profile based goodies you included! Everything is fabulous... and I really mean that. :-) If your goal was to only include items I would like, you succeeded admirably. I can't wait to try making polka dots, now, too. :-)
Comment: Loved the card you sent to me we watch that show all the time. Would be fun to go there some time.Yes the craft shows are starting. I will be going to all that I can. They are so much fun. Thank you again for the card.
Response: You're very welcome! I've got 2 craft shows to attend on Saturday and I can't wait!
Comment: Oh Linda! You did a wonderful job on this swap. I read, and read, and read your letter. I laughed, and thought, and decided that I might actually have to try some other kind of books besides romance. You are very persuasive (sp. ?). I now know more about more authors than I think I ever did, lol. I enjoyed the stories about your brother and your credit card. The only ones I had ever heard anything about were: The Firm, A Time to Kill, and The Help. I started readng The Help once, and just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll try it again. As far as A time to Kill, I may be thinking of scripture, not sure. Anyway, really enjoyed your list, note, and the lovely bookmark. I will keep your list for future library visits, as you suggested. Rebecca/pobuffy
Response: I'm so glad you were pleased. I was pretty sure just a simple list wouldn't convey just how much I loved each and everyone of those books, and of course the authors as well. If you read one, do let me know. I'd be tickled pink if you found one of them as enjoyable as I did.
Comment: What a fun time I had reading your creative note!! Thanks for the mini surprises too! I didn't know there was going to be a sequel to Exotic Marigold Hotel! Can't wait to see it! Thanks again Linda....:-)
Comment: Thank you for the 1920 rowing card. I checked out your blog and swap-bot profile - you sound like someone fun to create with! I LOVE the letters you used for my name on the card - my husband was impressed too! I just had a Halloween party with 45 people - it was a lot of fun! My closet full of board games impresses many, but few actually want to play! I hope you are having a wonderful day and thanks again; hope to see your name on another swap soon!
Response: I just love decorating my envelopes and especially when I can use my rubber stamps. So glad you were pleased!!
Comment: Hello Linda,
Thank you for your nice selection of washi tape you sent me for this swap. Your washi tape had a nice variation in color, design, size, and theme. I look forward to using your washi tape in future projects I have to do.
Comment: Thank you for the Gal Pals postcard with the photo from 1941. I wasn't quite born yet, but it wasn't too soon after!
I loved the "You can't skip and be unhappy at the same time" stamp. When I was a little girl my nickname was Skip-to-my-Lou because I loved to skip! I used to sing the song, too!
Comment: thanks for the nice washi! I like the big ones a lot!
Response: I like those too. I ordered a lot at the Craft & Hobby Assn show and thought those were great, but they weren't popular sellers for me at all. You're the first person to comment on them, so I guess most people don't prefer them.
Comment: Thank you for the really neat postcard! I love pcs like this. I just bought some really neat b/w postcards made from photographs taken by street photographer Garry Winogrand. Most of them are from the 60s-early 80s. Have you heard of him? They are very cool. :-)
Response: I wasn't familiar with his work so of course I had to go look and they're fabulous. Hope we swap again so you can send me one of those. Glad you were pleased with mine. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: OH MY GAWD I LOVE EVERY BIT OF IT...PROBLEM IS I WONT USE ANY OF IT FOR AN ATC IT ALL GOES IN MY COLLECTION! EVEN THE PAPERS GO IN MY PRIVATE STASH OF SCRAPBOOK FAVES WELL DONE (ALLIN CAPS BECAUSE I AM SQEALING WITH DELIGHT)
Response: Well you have truly made my day! I had such fun pulling it together from my stash. And until I read your profile I didn't think there was another person crazy about tarot cards other than me. Thanks for the rating, and again, I'm so glad I sent things you liked, even if you do plan to keep them rather than use them. (Clearly I don't use my stash either or I wouldn't have had them to share. Ha)
Comment: THANK YOU!!! This was thee best cardboard PC I have received thus far. You were so creative with you rubber stamped images of which a few I am coveting. Happy Belated Birthday too. I hope that you enjoyed an awesome day of celebration with loved ones. This PC is going in my keeper pile for sure.
Response: Oh, I'm SO glad you were pleased! I'd rather rubber stamp than eat and for your card, I pulled out stamps I haven't used in probably 10 years!!! Still love them but those are some old favorites.
Comment: Great envie of stuff and LOVE the outside of the envie too. It was so great that my husband made a positive "Whoa, that's very interesting" when he was sorting through what the mailman left us today. Thanks for the goodies.........
Response: Now that's high praise indeed when the husband makes a comment. My husband loves to check the mail and then fan it out on the table, showcasing the best ones. Thanks for the great rating! Hope we swap again so I can dazzle the hubby.
Comment: I absolutely love the postcards you sent me! All of them and all the cool Asian cards and things too. Wish I could give you a bunch of hearts. I also loved your stamped envelope and I'm happy to see you are from my state.
Response: Thanks! Tickled pink that you were pleased. And thanks for the heart!

Response: Thanks! I'll check that out. Glad you received the tapes, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Linda! Thank you for the great goodies you enclosed and the letter. I am so jealous that you've attended CHA!! It's on my 30 before 30 list so I have 18 months to make it happen. Are you going to go again??
Response: Sure am. Just paid my annual dues and now it's time to book my flights. Glad you liked everything, and thanks for the heart.
Comment: Wow! Not one but two ATC's and they are both gorgeous!! Seriously...even after telling me how you did it I still can't imagine. Love them and the special extras too! Thanks sooo much!!
Response: Do you own alcohol inks? I think I included a piece of the mirror board that I'd run through the texture plate, didn't I? I can add a post to my blog showing how I did it, if that would help.
Comment: Thank you for the letter and extras! It was so much more than I expected! :-) You definitely put time into going over my profile and crafting thoughtful questions--I will try to write back soon with answers.
Response: Just glad both envelopes arrived. Sorry again about forgetting the stickers in the first one!
Comment: Hello Linda. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this magnificent swap. I love all six of the envelopes you sent, but my fav is the petal one with the sentiments stamped on each petal. The outside enveloped is so cool with all of the great sentiments and the arrangement of them. I enjoyed reading the wonderful, interesting two page letter you included. That was really a special treat. I will check the calendar for the next Stampfest in Orlando. I would really love to meet you. Thank again for everything.

Comment: Thank you! I like everything you sent! and i love the envy they came in :)
Response: so glad you were pleased. And thank you for the heart rating. As for the envelope, I've now started stamping swimming pools and water guns with spray, which are cool in a totally different way.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely cards and the extras! I especially loved the little piggy notecard! :) I'll probably end up keeping that one for myself. HaHa. I will definitely be using everything that you sent! Thanks again, and Happy Swapping!
Response: Ha! If we swap again, I'll be sure to send another piggy card. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Linda. I love the "41 Shades of Green" pc. Life IS like a box of chocolates. :) I wish I could part with my husband's grandmother's photo albums (3). One of the albums is from her school days with candid snapshots of her and her best friends. - she graduated in 1916. Could you use electronic copies?
Response: Oh my yes, that would be lovely! So glad you liked the postcard. Now I need to send you one of my greeting cards so you can see what I do with the photos. Will put one in the mail to you tomorrow.
Comment: Wowza! I didnt want to run the envelope that you sent me! it was seriously SO neat! All the extras with the maps and such was a great addition to the autumn washi! I would give you 5 more hearts if I could! Thanks so much!

Comment: Oh, I'm such a lucky bird today! Thank you for a delightful envie of goodies. I just love it all! I love the paper bits, the beautiful postage stamps (my first from India!), the great theater tickets, and speaking of theater...Who knew there were cigars named Jean Valjean? Thank you for literally brightening up my day (love your envies).
Response: Once again, I'm happy you're pleased! And of course I had fun pulling it all together for you.
Comment: Hello Linda,
Thank you for the wonderful notecards you sent me for this swap. I especially enjoyed the one you made. I like the card you chose to put it on and the message you chose to put with it. You gave me an idea of what to do with old photos we have in our home that we have duplicates of or can't remember the names of the people in the photos etc. I loved the envelope you sent my notecards in--I can tell you made it yourself. Thank you also for taking the time to write such a wonderful note. I enjoyed reading it and learning about your craft life. I wish mine was as rich as yours especially in the rubber stamp world. I would love to take a class or classes from you. Hope I get to swap with you more in the future.
P.S. My kit development involves putting materials together so someone can do someone can do some ATCs or some Skinnies, or cards, or I might do a stationary kit so someone can write letters. Those are some examples. Hope this answers your question.
Response: So pleased that they arrived and that you liked them. Do you sell your kits? I'll be forced to send you another letter now with questions, if that's okay with you.
Comment: If I could send myself the perfect little collage kit, I believe this would be it :). You have a wonderful collection of photos! Thank you for sharing your goodies. Loved the air mail themed items, the most excellent fortunes, the pieces of ledger and postal transparency... Thanks also for the lovely letter. I love the manual typewriters, too!
