Description:

I have extended the send date by a few days, but if you still need more time, please let your partners know.

Permision has been given to me to create this swap by Lunaria who hosted the 1st P.C. Inchies swap (http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/8362).

Rules are simple: 2 partners, 10 inchies each for a total of 20 inchies.

Ichies MUST be made of polymer clay. Any technique can be used. For some ideas, check out: http://www.polymerclaycentral.com/masterindex.html#lessonsprojects

I'm not going to specify a required thickness, just make sure they aren't so thin that they will easily break.

As this is lightweight, I'm making this swap international. Please package so they won't get damaged during shipping (I find that packaging between 2 pieces of cardboard keeps them pretty safe). As this is not specific to your partners profile, you can start making them anytime.

Here's a tip: A year and a half ago, I was making small p.c. tiles to make a mosaic. I was getting frustrated because I kept getting air bubbles. I then learned that if you flip the tiles upside down before you bake them, the air bubbles will rise to the exposed surface (which is the back of the tiles).

Any questions, just ask!

This is a fun swap! I hope you host more in the future. Due to the holidays I am too busy and then will need a bit of decompression after New Years Day. The timing is not right for me.

I was inspired by the idea of mosiacs out of polymer clay which recently re-ran on DIY's Craft Lab. Also the new book by the same artist is great, I leafed through it at the bookstore...

another good tip is, if you do flip them like that, put them on parchment paper on your pan/tile. that will keep uneven shine spots from forming. (i had a real problem with those at first. )

I recently bought some polymer clay, a pasta machine and oven but haven't opened any of them yet. I was planning to attempt some polymer clay ATCs. This swap has inspired me to open the boxes and get something made. I will make some inchies and if they turn out good enough for a swap, I'll sign up.

Artzylady I made some polymer clay ATC's once for a swap hosted on Polymer Clay Central. They were so much fun! But due to their weight, they cost a lot to mail. That's why I like inchies- they're lightweight and cheap to mail.
