I'm very interested in this swap! The link you gave on how to make a friendship book doesn't work though....are there any other sites that can tell us how? I tried looking, but I couldn't find very good results...

ditto on the link.

I am interested as this would be my first swap and from looking at the websites you suggested I have question. Do we just put our name and address and the name and address to the person we are sending the FB to or do we add other info or more pages to the book I would like to do this I guess I am at a lost for exactly what it encompasses.

MissPrincess 01/ 7/2008 #

me too, I am confused! Who gets the book at the end? Shouldn't everyone make their own. They look easy enough. Do you end up with your own back at the end?

Miss Princess, "At the End" of this swap or at the end of the 'traveling booklet aka fb'?

In this swap, you'll be mailing the 5 booklets to your partner. Now, the booklets can me made for/by you or for a friend of yours or another swap friend. In the end, once the booklet is filled with penfriends the booklet is then mailed back to the person whom it was made for. (the person in the Made For: {space}

"Make their own" - you can do this It would mean that you would state MadeFor/By: "insert your information here"

Anymore questions? It is really easier to see a booklet to understand what's going on.

If you need to find new penfriends check for FB swaps or Excess swaps and people will sign/pass your booklets along.

So after we receive the FB what do we do with them do we write to the people who wrote in them? And where can I find info on the abbreviations that we are supposed to use to describe ourselves in the Fb? Help!!! (Please)

I was wondering if it would be acceptable to send the friendship books we get from this on with other Swap-Bot swaps. Is there etiquette for that? Maybe send it only to frequent swappers, so they wouldn't have to make a special effort to send it on? Don't send it to people who do postcard-only swaps?

Also, I noticed the "No Men, No Prisoners, No Trading in Africa" bit on Wikipedia. Would that be acceptable to add to our books? As long as our swap partners aren't male, of course.

You can mail the FBs on in swaps of Excess swaps or private swaps in the forums. A list of Abbreviations is located on the wiki page link. Some abbreviations often found in friendship books:

A/A = Answers All A/O = Answers Only A/S = Answers Some AVF = Answers Very Few ICR = I Can Return (meaning this person can return the friendship book back to the owner) LLP = Long Letter Pal N&N FBS = Nice and Neat Friendship Books NSW = New Swappers Wanted NPW = New Pen Pals Wanted SNNP = Sorry No New Pen Pals

And yes, if you do not want mail from prisoners or men just add that to your information.

It doesn't look like we have any male swappers in this one but if we did he would just send it on to the next pal swapper.
