If your anything like me there is nothing like a sweet rich piece of slice to brighten a morning tea or get together with friends. It is also fun to give copious amounts to children and watch them ride the sugar high. So hunt through your recipe box/book/stash to find your favourite slice recipe and send them off to your partners.

This is an easy, quick turn around swap. Send your partner 2 of your favourite slice recipes on recipe cards or index cards. Some ideas include Ginger Slice, Marshmallow Slice, Carmel Slice etc.

A fully filled out profile and minimum rating of 4.8 is required to join this swap. No unexplained ones within the past 6 months. I can angel if need be.

This is senders choice so you can even prepare your cards before the deadline. Above is picture of one of my recipes.

Is a SLICE RECIPE the same as a SQUARES RECIPE? here in Canada we call them squares - baked in a 9 X 9 pan and cut into pieces. I would love some aussie recipes.

Here I am in Wpg and as soon as I read that I thought of the pound cake type, like banana loaf or coconut loaf! I would love either one but am leaning towards the loaf type. :o)

Hey guys, a 'Slice' is pretty broad. Click here to see examples from where I am from. I am used to sweet/cold slices for dessert or afternoon teas etc. For example hedgehog slice or carmel slice. But my mum also makes zucchini slice which is healthy. I basically use a 23cm x 28cm shallow pan and a fridge. I know some slices you use an oven (almost cake like).

Here are some other examples. From what I can tell @Donnaleesymons the slice and square recipes appear to be very similar. What do you think after looking at some examples?

pinkrenegade 10/12/2011 #

This is most definitely what we would call squares. :o)

Yay! I can confuse my family now by using the word 'squares.' Oooo @pinkrenegade a loaf swap sounds like a great idea.

I am right in saying two partners and 2 recipe cards each?

aussielisa 10/15/2011 #

Yes 2 partners, 2 recipe cards.
