Description:

Who doesn't love stocking stuffers? Maybe you are like me and spend your holidays alone, or maybe it has been too lean to buy little goodies for yourself. But, here's a chance to brighten up the holidays. I like themes, so I'm taking the opportunity to host some theme swaps for stocking stuffers. You don't even have to wait for partners to be assigned. Plan ahead and buy now as long as it meets the theme of the swap - Senders Choice. Although it is sender's choice, there is no excuse for not reading your partner's profile for allergies and taking that into consideration. If you bought cinnamon and your partner is allergic please don't make her grimace over it and break out in hives.

The swap: Your items should be related to drinking tea, coffee, or hot cocoa. Ideas include packets of coffee, hot cocoa, tea, spoons, charms, mug mats, cup cozies, tea bag purse caddies, cup, strainer, etc. For this swap you will have one partner to send three (3) wrapped stocking stuffers. Stocking not required. Since swappers might be in several stocking stuffers swaps you should tag as to who they are from. Each item should be valued at no less than $2 - more if you feel like it - just not less. Gifts can be hand-crafted items if they are well made.

Send on time. A swap sent late does not meet this requirement. Nobody needs stocking stuffers in January - that would be a bummer.

To send anything less than your best attempt to make your partner smile is not swapping to your full potential nor treating your partner right. Make your partner smile - it's the holidays!

I know it's difficult to rate something that will be opened later. You can do it one of two ways. You can wait to rate until after Christmas when you have opened the gifts. If you chose to do so please message your partner to say so. Or, you can rate your partner a 5 based on if they sent you three wrapped stocking stuffers. Then later, after opening the gifts, you can decide to go back if you feel the need to write a comment clarifying your rating, or add a heart.

Swapper requirements: Not a swap open to Newbies (less than 5 type 3 package, and rated for, buy the time of the swap). However, I might arrange a private swap for newbies if you convo me. Rated 4.9 or higher and no 1's. If you feel that you were rated unfairly and that might keep you from making this swap, please let me know the circumstances. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers.

If you know that you don't meet the requirements, please don't sign up.

If i were to send individual tea bags (wrapped, of course) how many would you consider to equal the $2 per item limit?

Doggie23 10/25/2011 #

@Heidijean - I was thinking the same thing.

Also - no green tea (unless its zen by tazo), no fruit tea for me. I won't drink it.

Swap sounds like fun!

Hmmm.... I guess you could figure the amount based off of a box that is about $2 and it will say how many bags are in there. Sometimes if it's loose it will say how many servings are in the box and you would have to read the ounces in the box. Might be time to dust off the calculator (at least for me I would need one).

I like this swap but I thought it was senders choice? I see people commenting on what they like/dislike instead of allergies.

Just watching for now, too many likes and dislikes for senders choice. I love tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, feel free to send me whatever you like. Somebody in my house will drink it.

I don't drink coffe but could always give it to hubby. Other then that, I'm good with anything. After all, the swap still mentions sender's choice, but watch for allergies.
