I do have one question, is this related to the older style puss n' boots or the newer style aka Shrek and the soon to be released Puss n' boots movie (same cat as in shrek.)?

How ever you see puss n' boots is fine. You can do a cat and put boots on him just as long as it represents the fairytale. I hope that helps.
