Description:

You can create and mail custom PCs from your smart phone!

This is going to be a serial swap, so look for more in the future. The last one I hosted, Smart Phone Postcard Swap, has some useful comments, so check it out if you have questions.

Here are the requirements:

•Image must be a cell phone photo you took yourself. Subject matter is open, as long as it is appropriate for general audiences.

•PC must be generated from a smart phone app.

•I use two apps from the Droid Market, Touchnote and Postagram. They are both free to download, but the PCs themselves cost $1.45 for Touchnote and 99c for Postagram. They are both available from the iPhone market, as well.

•Remember to put the name of the swap, and your user name in the "message" part.

•After you send your PC, please forward the confirmation email from the App service to your recipient, so they know you actually sent it.

I will ban questionable swappers, blah blah. Please PM me if you have questions.

I will angel this swap.

Is this an eoectronic thing? I'm a bit confused!!

@hartline22 Yes and no, this is an electronic thing that makes a real PC materialize in your partner's physical mail box in the real world. If you have a Droid or a iPhone, feel free to join up! Check out the links.

so you do the PC through the app and pay the fee and they send it?? you don't send it... is that correct?? Do u pay the fee then or does it get added on to your phone bill?? New to this... lol... finally got a android phone :)

Thanks for hosting this swap. I've had an iPhone for a couple of years and did not know these kinds of apps exist. I found postagram and have installed it. The first few cards I send will be experimental sent to myself. I appreciate the time before the send by date for experiments!

postagram tips
I just purchased one postcard. I learned -
- When you first open the app there's no button to register as a new user. Just start making a new postagram and the app will set up your account automatically if you don't have one. (This is not obvious when you first open the app.)
- Bundle savings don't start until you buy 20 credits. I bought a 10-credit bundle because I didn't want many little charges on my credit card. If I use them quickly then I'll get a larger bundle next time.
- There is an option for sending to international addresses when you add recipients.

@LilJenn82 the postagram app asks for credit card data and safe-stores it. After you enter it the first time you can purchase a bundle and cards sent come off those credits or you can charge cards one at a time to your credit card without re-entering the data.
