How long are we expected to spend on this project? The only reason why I ask is because there is quite a bit of time to complete the project.

This is a neat swap idea, but I think the time frame is waaaay too long - especially over the holidays! Too long for people to leave swap-bot, or for life to get in the way. Would you consider making it a bit shorter?

bellazoo 11/ 7/2011 #

I could it just depend on how long it takes people to make stuff. Some crafts might take longer... depending on the type of Needle craft they do...Im game though so let me know if everyone agrees! We can always host another one next month! Are two weeks enough?

bellazoo 11/ 7/2011 #

ok i changed the date to send all goodies to the 1st of DEC....hope this is fine with everyone.

Hi,just noticed the time frame has been made shorter so I think I will have to drop from this one now as not sure would be able to complete in time.I probably could but it is more pressure and I like to take more time over a needlework project so don't want to rush. It's a shame as was looking forward to this one to get back into needlework but if you do host another with a longer time frame I would gladly join.

Hi ThatsNat I'm going to create another one exactly the same ;) Ill make it for the end of Jan is that fine? Just to avoid the holiday rush etc.

I am going to have to drop as well. I was hoping to wait to see my partner's profile so I could make something specifically for them, but that just isn't long enough for me to do quality work. Thanks anyway!

cant wait!!! cant wait!!!!

I'm excited to get to send someone some tatting (most likely)...I can only make smaler projects at this point, as I can't do fancy techniques, but I have some ideas to make the package nice and special. This is a great swap idea, as I love to receive surprises.

Laughing at the comments here...two weeks is too short a time for me for a project like this too. I like to make my swaps profile specific.

bellazoo 11/17/2011 #

That is so true. I felt the same, I want to take my time see what the swapper likes an then make something special for them. Some projects take longer than others...some people don't sit and work on it all day, they might have day jobs etc, We have to consider little things like that. Some needle crafts are more time consuming than others. I definitely don't mind receiving something beautiful and handmade. I think for some people its just about swapping for me its about the time i take to create and about what i create. I am glad to hear there are more people feeling the same way. I will consider this for the next swap. A longer timeline. Your thoughts are appreciated. So how long a timeline do you thin you would need for a swap like this? Share with me your ideas and we can make another swap or apply this to the next swap in Jan 2012
