Description:

I am a German living in the US and started a swap regarding this: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/106210#comment-429983 I got asked, if I would do an "all expats" swap and here it is.

Did you move to another country, recently or years ago? Where and Why? How were the preparations and travels?
What are your experiences with the new culture? Do you like living in the new country or would you rather go back? What do you miss most of home and what would you miss if you went back home?

Send one letter to your partner, telling about your experiences (answering at least the questions above) and put something regarding your "old" and your "new" country in the envelope (postcard, coin, stamps ...). Btw: A decorated envi is always a pleasure of course ;)

Happy swapping!

I did a similar swap (www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/91633) only that it didn't have to be exactly the swapper's own story.

This is a FABULOUS idea!

Would it count if your expated from your birth state to another one?

Hi. I'd like to join this swap but I'm not really living in another country: my father moved to England 6 years ago and it's like if I had two houses right now. I'd like to write someone about how I missed them and how strange it was to travel each month here and there... Do you think I could join your swap?

I already told @Alexis that up to me, she is welcome to join. But it's up to y'all, because I dont know who will have her as swap partner. Same with @ajefferson :)

I'd be happy to have either of them as a swap partner.

Traveling back and forth, Aleksis will have something interesting to tell about the contrast between both countries.

If AJefferson feels that the two states are different enough that it would be interesting to write about it, I'd be happy to hear about that as well.

Sorry for the confusion, ladies. Everyone should send to its asigned partner, ok? Thank you!

PS: I will extend a few more days ;)
