Description:

This is for people who love to zentangles!!!

This is round 6. Once again you will be doing a 5 zentangle pages and a Bio page

On the first page you will write a short introduction, along with your profile name and your address.

On the second page you'll start adding zentangles pages. Please start each zentangle on a new page! And fill that page at least 2/3rds of the way full. They can be either black and white or colored. Or even a mix of both. Fill only front of each page so that there is no worry of bleeding through and ruining anything.

You can also fill in extra pages with zentangles if you like BUT you must have at least 5 pages of zentangles.

When you have your 5 Zentangled pages finished, you'll ship the notebook to your swap partner.

This is a swap series. On the next round, you will add an intro page (with all the above listed info) and 5 zentangled pages to the notebook you received in this swap, or (if you're just starting with us) you'll buy a new notebook and join in!

If you are just joining this series you will need to buy some type of blank journal or notebook. Journal should be around 10.5 x 8 Inches. And have between 50 - 100 pages. YOU CAN MAKE THE JOURNAL IF YOU LIKE.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS JOURNAL IS STRONG ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO BE SHIPPED AND WORKED ON MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT THE PAGES FALLING OUT OF IT.

If you fill the last page of a notebook then you will ship it to the next person. If you're the one who RECEIVES a FULL notebook, then you can keep it and buy a new one to start the swap with.

The goal is for everyone to stick with this swap long enough to receive a full notebook.

PLEASE NO FLAKERS !!!!

How long are you planning on keeping this going? Just now found this series and would love to start it if there are going to be enough more to make it worth starting. Thanks, it sounds like fun and a great idea for inspiration on those mental block days.

LuciansMommy.....Hi : ) I plan on keeping it going for as long as I can. It's fun to see what everyone else has been doing. So far this swap has been awesome. I hope it continues to grow each month.

Is this like a Round Robin, where I buy a notebook, fill 5 pages, send to my partner. then in the next round, my partner fills 5 pages of that same notebook and sends to her partner?

Or do we buy a new notebook each round?

I'm new to this also, just need a little clarification. thanks!

LunaMoody 12/13/2011 #

yes this is like a round robin swap. You will send out your book then get one from your partner that you will send on in the next round of the swap

Is your original notebook returned to you when it is full?

robinpich 12/20/2011 #

From what I read, if you receive a notebook that is full, you keep it and buy a new one for the next round? So if we don't join a certain round, we just keep the journal we have? I hate to be a pain, but I just can't grasp this concept.........Sorry!

LunaMoody 12/20/2011 #

Yes if the notebook you get is full you keep it and start off with a new notebook. And if so some reason you don't join/skip a round you hold onto the journal and use it for the next round that you do join in.... As for your original book you won't get it back more then likely unless you happen to be partnered with the person that has it last.

Am wondering how I missed the first 5 rounds!! I am joining for the first time, too!

mlookyloo1 12/20/2011 #

this sound like fun what kind of notebook is the best to get

jj9jj 12/21/2011 #

Do we have to use the same pattern for the whole page?

LunaMoody 12/22/2011 #

mlookyloo1 ... the best notebooks are ones that are spiral bound with no lines.... it must be sturdy enough to be able to go through multiple mailings and people working in it without pages falling out.

LunaMoody 12/22/2011 #

jj9jj hi you can do any kind of zentangle patterns on the page you want and as many on the page you want to. Just as long as the page is at least 2/3 full of your work

robinpich 12/28/2011 #

This actually sounds very cool, knowing I'll get a zentangle book that is full of everyone's different styles. I may have to join too..........

Would love for a smaller size journal. Neat idea, though.

LuciansMommy 01/ 6/2012 #

Ok, first swap in the series that I have signed up for and I cannot find something to use as a journal. Please someone point me in the right direction on where to get one without spending an arm and a leg.

LunaMoody 01/10/2012 #

LuciansMommy ... you can find cheap journals on ebay. You can also make your own if you like. Just make sure that it is sturdy enough to handle all the travel and work on it.

I bought a sketch book at books a million for $7.99. But u could buy one at michaels or hobby lobby when they have a 40% off coupon. The one I got is black hard back with a spiral at the top. Blank pages and I think there's 100 pages. Shipping might be a tad high but this book should last a long time :)

Did the sending deadline on this swap change? I thought it was earlier...
