Description:

Get an Empty TP Tube (the center tube the paper is wrapped around). Some swappers cut a paper towel tube in half, which is ok too. Cut two circles of cardboard or cardstock to cover the ends. Tape one end closed. Now stuff the tube with goodies. Fill with winter themed items……

•Tea bags, Single serve hot chocolate, coffee, drink mixes (kind you add to bottled water)

•Recipes

•a pair of mittens, gloves or socks

•Crafting how to DIY (templates, directions, etc.)

•Brads, eyelets, ribbon, Glue dots

•Scrapbook paper and/or stickers can be rolled to fit in the tube.

•Small sewing notions (seam rippers, buttons, thread, etc.)

•Small hard candies or gum

•Tealite candles

•Key chains, jewelry or jewelry making supplies

•Mini markers, pencils, pens, Postage stamps, bookmarks or other stationary items

•Small paper punches or stamps or other small embellishments

•Something handmade

The possibilities are endless! Be creative, challenge yourself & have a blast!

If you have or are in a group could you please send a group message to see if anyone else would like to join?

Checking your partners profile is great, but not required. Be sure to include a tiny note or business card that has the swap name and your username on it so they know where it came from. Include only things you would like to receive, no trash!

Now seal up the other end of the tube. Decorate & address the outside. I have found it easier to decorate after it is full; it holds its shape better.

This is a "US Only" Swap, so shipping costs should be affordable. This is the roll inside toilet paper. Yes the PO accepts it or you can put the completed, filled roll in a small padded envie if your PO insists they can't. You might call ahead and ask to save time & frustration.

You need to have a 4.8 or above rating, at least 3 rated postal swaps and no unexplained ones or threes in the past 6 months. If you are new, please have a full profile & PM me before joining. Any questions you can PM me.

Happy Swapping, nlgrudis

How do you keep this from being squashed in the mail? Out of 2 sent to me, one was destroyed and one survived. Out of 4 I sent out, 3 were destroyed. AND I had thought I packaged them securely, wrapping with sturdy paper and strong tape.
I ended up resending in a small pringles can, which is slightly longer than a TP tube but about 3 TP tubes would fit inside it. Those packages did fine but I don't really want to send a TP tube again.

I found paper towel tubes work better. They seem to be a tad bit stronger than toilet paper rolls. In the past we've had 2 partners for these swaps so I take one paper towel tube cut it in half. It actually is a bit longer allowing me to stuff it with more goodies. I know what you mean about weak toilet paper tubes. Last swap I rec'd one from Canada that was destroyed by the time it hit my USA door step. I have to say though, I've been eyeing the huge toilet paper tube. The kind that holds massive mounds of toilet paper for public bathrooms. If I can snag one of those it'll be a fun fill. Holla at me pm wise if you have more questions. Glad to help.
