Show off your town!

I like this one, Too bad I don´t live in the USA

I had to laugh when I read this one. My "town" is only 1 block. There are about 150 people in the village limits. 2 churches, post office, park and a bar. I live 2 miles out of town on a farm. Kids are sent to next town over - 10 miles - to school.

Love the idea though...

@institches - Im sure you could find 10 things if you wanted to join, maybe pictures from a neighboring city? interesting nature maybe some from your farm.. The fact that you live in a small town might be a nice change to someone who lives in a big city :)

@institches Me, too! I live in a hamlet of 9 houses, four of which are holiday homes!!!!! Mind you, we do have a view of a ruined Cathar castle from our house......too bad I'm not in the US.

What size photos?

Question 1: I make a "darling" miniature photo album that fits inside a large matchbox. Would this be acceptable? It is something that I would like to receive myself. In fact, if I can do this I will probably make two of them, one to give and one to keep.

Question 2: I live in an awesome state. May I include other pictures from around my state?

@kmug500 - Any size is fine an long as its not teeny and i cant see anything! LOL

@flofirenzie - That sounds cute! As long as you can get a good picture that size go for it! .. Anywhere near you thats a good picture will be great!

Do these need to be new photos or can they be older photos from our town?

I'm seriously thinking about doing this. Where is a good place to look at examples for this craft? I want ideas for decorating the album. I need supply material ideas please. First time doing this.

I got a photo album for this today. It is one from the Dollar Store and has pockets for standard 4"x6" photos. I'll decorate the first page with the the name of the swap and some sort of intro. The remaining pages will be done as a 2 page spread with the photo in one pocket and the description and info on nice paper in the other pocket. I'm looking forward to this swap I think it will be lots of fun.

TKS @crrcookie I know where to get my album @. Wal-Mart has nice ones in the photo developing department for .99 cents. Getting it today. This is going to be FUN:)

I think maybe a nice mix of pictures new and old would be great. anything shows off your town.

maybe and older photo of a building or a statue and then a new photo of a park or something :)

Also the photo album is a great idea .. Sorry i was specific, you guys thought of things i never thougth of .. next time i host this i will include all this info! hope these all turn out great!!

I'm glad that I can use some older photos. I have some good ones of our town's Frontier Days celebration from some years ago and some that I could duplicate now but the pictures I took before will show some different seasons which will probably help to make a nice mix from the ones that I will take now with gray skies and dead grass!

Too bad I didn't see this soon enough :( looks fun!
