Description:

This is an International version of my Smashbook swap. There is no requirement to send a book for this one, so it will help cut down on the cost significantly for those who may not have the funds available at the moment. Also, since there is no high-dollar component, newbies are welcome with well-filled-out profiles.

For this swap, you will start a fresh Smashbook (google it for information about what it is) on January 1, 2012. Then you will spend the month "smashing" all the tidbits of daily life into the book for the next month. You can also doodle, journal, etc. in the book. At the end of the month, you will write a letter to your partner about your smashbook. You can write about how it may have brought back forgotten memories, about a specific favorite doodle you did, etc. You may even want to take some pictures of any favorite pages, but they are not required. You can also write about daily life if you want, but make sure to talk about your smashbook.

You can make your own Smashbook if you can't get them in your country. But if you want to use a name brand Smashbook, they can be ordered from a variety of online sites as well as found at some scrapbook and craft stores.

This swap is ideal for those who already like to keep these "tidbits" of life, as the additional time investment will basically then only be writing the letter to your partner. For someone who doesn't already keep some sort of "life journal" this will be a pretty big investment of time, so may want to try it for a month before signing up for this type of swap.

Swap requirements: Newbies welcome with a well-filled-out profile. Otherwise, no flakers: minimum rating of 4.8 with no recent or unexplained 1's or 3's.

If you have any questions, PM me. There is lots of fun information about smashbooks and "smashing" out there, so let's have fun with this one.

Just wondering, if we don't have to send the book is the swap a type 2 swap because we are just sending the letter?
Also really excited about this one. Going to be my first official smash book.

I am leaving it at type 3, because there is still a significant craft component (i.e. you still have to "craft" the book). So even though you aren't sending what you "craft", you still have to do it to participate. :-)

I am glad we are only sending the letter, not the whole book. Just got a new smash book. This should be fun.
