Description: | |
In this swap you will create four (4) I-spy blocks since they are quick and easy to make. For those of you unsure of what an I-spy block is, it is basically a framed quilt block with the center square being a colorful image or object. These blocks are typically for kid's quilts so that they may "spy" an object ("I-spy a truck"). There are several options used to create I-spy blocks, but we are going to do the snowball style. See this website for {instructions} (http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltblocklotto/ss/ispy_snowballs.htm) The quilt block should be a finished size of 6 inches. What colors you use as the corners are your choice unless your partner specifies a color choice. Also, the objects used in the center are the creator's choice, however please check the COMMENTS or PM your partner to see if they would prefer girl or boy themed objects/colors. For example, I am expecting twin boys in April, and would prefer that my colors be boyish (not pinks or purples), and that this be considered when choosing the fabric for the center object. I cannot tell you when to give a heart, but I would recommend sending either additional blocks or I-spy objects to win your partner over! Please PM me if you have questions. I do not always get a chance to check the COMMENTS section |
