Description:

For this swap you will make SIX (6) nice handmade envelopes for your partner. The envelopes must be 3 1/2" x 5 " or larger & must be sturdy enough to mail. The twist is ... envelopes MUST be made from RECYCLED MATERIAL as a base. Other embellishments may be added, but the envelope itself must be made from something RECYCLED.

It is up to the sender if they want to add anything to go with the envelopes ... lately I have found a nice touch is handmade return address labels:>

Usual group swap rules apply. Have fun!!

By recycled, do you mean truly recycled material (as in paper that has been recycled) or is "upcycled" okay? So can we use magazine pages, etc. to make the envelopes?

Thanks for organizing this swap series. They are so much fun!

I mean paper ... like calendars, magazines, cereal boxes, etc.

Think I will be using book pages (it's a large book)

BOOKS work GREAT! I get some cheap finds from the GW and tear the heck out of them. Look for ATLAS BOOKS too.

REMEMBER IT IS OK TO USE THINNER PAPER, BUT MAKE SURE IT IS BACKED WITH SOMETHING!!! I use magazine pull outs sometime, but always put card stock on the main part:>
