Description:

For those of you that missed the first round of color swaps the "ROY G. BIV" part...this is a do-over of RED.

For this swap you will create a piece of mail art for one partner fitting in a certain color theme. For this first swap the mail art should be mostly RED. It can be a decorated paper envelope, a hand-cut envelope made out of unusual materials like wall-paper or a calendar page, a recycled item used for a mail container, like a candy box, or even a naked mail item (an item that fits within the color theme, but is NOT in an envelope, like a tea cup with an address tag attached to the handle - yes, you CAN mail a plastic teacup - I got one in the mail before and it was awesome) Naked mail might be risky for international swappers :( If you do send a decorated envelope please put something inside and dont forget to include senders name and the name of the swap. If you send a naked mail item just add a label or something that has the swap name and senders name. These are just ideas to get you thinking. Please don't feel limited to just one shade or ALL RED. Just be creative and remember that at the end of the series we want to have a rainbow collection of mail art so your piece for this round should represent RED . Your swap should be a piece of art. IT SHOULD NOT BE STICKERS SLAPPED ON AN ENVELOPE. Please take some time and send something you would like to receive. . Feel free to message me if you need ideas or help. This swap is for beginners and pro's so don't be shy! By the end of the series the newbies will be pros and they will also have a nice bunch of mail art examples.

You'll have two weeks once the swap closes to send it out. Everyone is welcome, but please no flakers. If you are sending late please notify your partner ASAP! Let me know if you get flaked and I will happily angel.

What color should we do next? Ideas?

Have we had purple already?

I am a bit confused, postcards are OK, does that mean we can send a postcard that is mostly red, or do what have to sue the postcard as part of the envelop?

tifffoster 02/21/2012 #

The postcard should be mosty RED. It doesn't have to be in an envelope.
