Description:

It's time to let your creative side shine and of course have fun.

For this swap you will have 1 partner and 3 weeks to send. I am going to ask you to visit a Op Shop or Garage Sale and find yourself a item that can be revamped into something beautiful, unique and one of a kind. The item must be something that can be physically used like a bowl, box, vase, drinking glasses, etc. Please NO clothing as not everyone has the same size or taste in clothing.

I am putting a limit to $5.00, for the item brought.

Once you have found your item, make it unique. You can use paint, mosiac tiles, collage, cloth...anything you like. Just remember to be creative. And create something you yourself would like to receive. And please don't just slap some stickers on it and send.

Once finished write a note to your partner explaining how you made it beautiful and what it could be used for. Example: You could a decorate a wine glass and turn it into a candle holder, or just make a wonderful glass to decorate the home or drink from. (However, if using mugs and glasses to drink from, then please make sure you use safe and non-hazardous material).

Newbies are welcome with a filled-out profile.

Also, if the swap has met the requirements and you receive something you don't like then please be fair and rate with a 5. Because someone's trash is another one's treasure.

So here are the guidelines:

  • 1 partner.

  • 3 weeks to send.

  • Limit of $5.00.

  • One peice, which must be revamped. NO CLOTHING.

  • Must be creative, don't just snap on some stickers.

  • Create something you yourself would like to receive.

  • Write a little note explaining how you revamped the peice and what it's used for.

  • And remember to have fun.

I will angel for anyone who is flaked on. However, this is a reliable group of wonderful swappers and I hope not too.

WARNING: Flakers will be banned from any swap I hold in the future unless a resonable explanation can be made. So please, NO FLAKERS.

soft hats not what i have

Hey Col,

I will happily host another one of these swaps if you would like to join. So that is no problem. Also, soft or wide brim hats would be fine as well as scarfs, because yes they are accessories.

For myself, I would personally say no to shoes but I am very picky when it comes to my shoes. But if you discuss it over with your partner and they are willing to do accept shoes or visa versa than that will be fine. As long as you have the right size and style e.g: flats or heels. But please discuss it with your partner.

But yes I am willing to host another one of these. I am sure it will be lots of fun.

just reading the comments and I was thinking maybe Col means with the shoes to repurpose them into something else, maybe a pot plant pot for eg?????

AnnaG101 02/ 6/2012 #

That would be cool. A shoe pot plant, I could go for that. That's a really great idea, I never thought of that. If you could turn the shoe or shoes into something else other than shoes then that would be awesome too.

Thanks for pointing that out @neca84 Great Idea.
