I received a Kindle for Christmas and I have got into the habit of reading in bed, curled up on the sofa, anywhere the mood takes me and just leaving my Kindle wherever I like! Now, I thought, what I need is Kindle case.................. Moments later after searching the internet I find several turorials that seem to fit the bill. Soooooooooooooo how about a swap? Here's the deal.........................

  • You make a Kindle cover for one partner from the many tutorials available online. My preference is this one cos it's beautiful, clear and well- written.

i'm getting an ipad soon, would the kindle case fit an ipad too?

@Brendasue ~ I have both and the iPad is a bit bigger then the kindle.

I'm watching this swap up until closer to the sign up deadline. I'm still a beginner sewer and I'm not quite sure I can do something that is swapable.

I reckon you can adjust the pattern for an ipad by adding another row of squares or by making the squares ever so slightly bigger. Either way it'll be gorgeous @Brendasue

I just made one to check how it would come out, and it came out so nice I have sent it off to my aunt for her birthday. I did it with a button instead of a velcro dot. so cute.

Another pesky question:) Can I ask the person who sends to me, to make an iPad case. I don't have a kindle and so a kindle case isn't much use to me. I can give the measurements if you need them. But if that's not posible, let me know, so that I can drop out of the swap without any problems. Thanks! :)

I have a Kindle, but I wouldn't mind making an iPad or different-sized case for my partner. I think we just need to let our partners know what device we have or the dimensions, since it seems even different versions of Kindles vary in size, and some may have Nooks, too. I would say just to focus on it being an electronic device case swap. (Otherwise it may end up a general purse swap since the cases can be so cute!)
