With so much madness and mayhem going on lately, I thought it would be nice to have a Spring renewal swap that will refresh the spirit of the Goddess in each of us. I don't think there is a single person here who can't use a little recovery--whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Spring is an auspicious time to bring self-healing and spiritual renewal into your life. Whatever makes your soul take wing, comforts you in dark days, refreshes your spirit and energizes your body--that's what this swap is all about. It is all about trying to help our swap partners feel a little bit better than they started, to regain their grounding and be reminded of the sound of their own calm thoughts. I hope that you'll all take time to slow down and join me in a time of individual recovery--whether you choose to join the swap or not. : ) The Specifics 1) A spring theme art doll or figurine-your own creation or purchased, a pattern that you embellish with a spring theme, assemblage, mixed media, an altered doll a goddess figurine or sculpture.... as long as it has a spring time feeling, it is good. No paper dolls, although paper components or composition are fine. At least 3" tall. a few links to easy patterns and tutorials, including no sew dolls, in comments 2) A spring card-handmade or purchased, with a note from you: a simple spell, a quote, a poem, some springtime encouragement-just something special for your partner. 3) A third item of your choice, based upon your partner's profile. Remember this is the Goddess Corner, we are honoring the Goddess in each other, and sending some springtime encouragement, so put together a swap that reflects that. inspired by a Full Moon Swap from 2006 |
