Description:

This is the USA only version of this swap, originally created by @wreckthisgirl

Raise your hand if today's your unbirthday and let's celebrate together!

In order to join this swap you must have two important requirements:

1) your unbirthday must be during the swap period; Meaning your real birthday shouldn't be during the swap period.

2) you must enjoy little things and surprises.

If you've got this part covered, then go on and read what's this about!

Instructions:

• take an empty box of tea [ one of those that contains at least 20 tea bags, keep in mind that bigger is always better ;) ];

• go to your partner's profile;

• read carefully what they like, wishes and love to do;

• Put as many things as you can fill the empty tea box with; awesome bits and bobs for your partner.

• write an unbirthday message and send them their unbirthday present!

Easy uh? Just a few more things you might want to keep in mind..

The Do's:

• This is a profile based swap, so please send things your partner likes.

• Items can be store-bought, nicely handmade, or come from your stash, just please don't send junk. Make your partners unbirthday special.

• send your tea box in a bubble wrap envelope and remember to include the swap name and your username; make sure your bubble wrap envie is big enough so that the box doesn't bend too much. If you don't find the right envie, please use a small package.

The Dont's:

• Don't send things listed under the 'dislike' and/or 'allergy section';

• no swappers with a lower rate than 4.6 and at least 10 type 3 completed swaps. I'm sorry, but I don't want to risk that someone doesn't receive their very special unbirthday present;

• please don't join this swap if your actual birthday will be during the whole swap time, or it wouldn't be fun.

I'll be checking profiles and I reserve myself the right to ban any suspicious swappers from my swap.

On thing I don't understand. It's in a box, yet also in a bubble-wrap envelope. So do we squish the box into the envelope?

Can I use a tea tin instead of a box?

Along the same line, could I use a tea bag instead of a box? When I buy tea, I put the bags in my tea storage boxes and recycle the boxes they're sold in. The only empty "boxes" I have right now are actually heavy lined paper bags. They hold 20 tea bags and come tied with a ribbon, so they look nicer than a box, really. :)

This sounds like so much fun! I love the little song from the animated Alice cartoon where the Mad Hatter sings, "A Very Merry Unbirthdaaaaaaaaaaaaay to Us!"

My family has a tradition of randomly making a special breakfast and singing that song - you know it's going to be a good day when you hear someone in the kitchen singing it. :) I LOVE the idea for this swap! For the record, if my partner would like to use an alternative to a tea box, I'm totally down with that - tins and bags with pretty bows sound awesome to me!

Yea, tea boxes, bags, tins and whatnot are acceptable. :)
