And the winner is for May Swap of the month is.... swap B!

Photo challenge no #1 - sender's choice.

take an object that resembles a person or animal (eg doll, ornament, sweets shaped like animals, small toy etc) and take it on a mini adventure.

where will you go?
- to the shops
- the park
- the zoo
- A museum - A Farm

You Decide where to go!

Must take a minimum of 5 photographs,

  • 1st will be at your home (start location)
  • 2nd will be travel to place (ie in the car, on a walk)
  • remaining images must be of the item in the location you have chosen.

Don't forget to include a short letter to go with your photographs. You can give your object a name and talk about how they liked going out for the day, or if you felt weird doing the swap, did you enjoy it? any thoughts you had whilst on your mini adventure!

As this is sender's choice, you may 'craft ahead' as it were, don't have to wait to get a partner before you go out to make your swap!

1 partner, International swap! Ok, Go!

Yay! I voted for this one, I'm so excited about it! :D I have one question, though. Although the pictures are indeed flat, I've experienced that, for international destinations, 5+ photos are considered to be like a small packet at the post office (in terms of price for stamps). I'm joining the swap anyway, but perhaps its type could be changed to 3?

Do we send the traveling person/animal/thing to our partner as well??

kittenred 05/11/2012 #

you would keep the object that you use for the swap, so you are only mailing the photos and a letter to go with them.

Ikat78 05/13/2012 #

Ok, my partner will be getting the item too as an extra;)

I have my pictures taken - just have to write the letter. What fun we had on our outing! :)

AnitaHames 05/17/2012 #

Do we just take the object on one outing?

clebeans 05/17/2012 #

This sounds like a fun swap. I just did one similar to this for a young lass celebrating 200yrs girl scouts where I took her Flat Savannah around my town visiting loads of spots so I'm in.

well the swap does work a little like toy voyagers or flat stanley, and yes, only one outing. if you yourself choose to do more than one outing (something that children's book authors have done in order to gather material for a story) then that's fine, that could be your own project, but for this swap it is one outing.

oh dear! have been made aware that @koalascout hasn't been logging in recently. I will wait a week, then if she still hasn't logged in, I will angel for her partner. (who she was to send to)

karenvanita 05/30/2012 #

Not to worry. @koalascout is my partner and she PM'd me. She's having computer problems. But was able to get my address and she's working on the project.

@kittenred Great swap had fun with it. I even went to the CVS, to buy a stuffed dog for this swap. My friend and I had a great day shooting this swap. I hope my partner will enjoy seeing the photos I enclosed.
