Description:

Are we all still having fun with our smash books/junk journals? Sometimes, I do think I get stuck in a rut. So, let's inspire each other. Here's the plan:

Take an 8 1/2" X 11" piece of cardstock and fold it in half to make a 5 1'2" X 8 1/2" "booklet." Now you have four pages. If you were making a new junk book, you could bind this in with a Bind-it All, rings, sewn binding, etc. Or you could cut on the fold and bind the single pieces. It can also be added to an existing book.

Take the "booklet," which has four pages. Decorate one completely however you'd like, using your partner's profile as much as possible. Be to sign your work somewhere.

Lightly decorate the other three page, leaving plenty of space for your partner to add to them. Now mail it to your partner, who can add it to an existing book or incorporate it into one they are just making.

Another technique you could try is napkin transfer. A YouTube link that show how to do that is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hpqpeljWd4.

I'm leaving a little more than three weeks for creation once the swap closes. If you think you'd really enjoy this, I am also posting a public swap that is essentially the same.

Just so that I have this straight, 1 A4 page of cardstock, folded in half then decorated on each side, one side fully decorated and the other 3 partially decorated and it should not be cut?

That's right. Your partner can cut it if that fits better.
