Photo Montage- self challenge

The image above is a photo montage made from magazine photos and an example of what type of ATC should be done for the 1st ATC that you will will copy by drawing/painting to make your 2nd ATC.

This is a ATC self challenge- I have done a version with my older art students in the past and did it again working with a student this summer and I thought it might be a fun challenge for all of us to try with ATCs. For this Swap you will do one photo montage ATC then do a drawing, painting or both to make a seconded ATC. You can cut up your own original images or use images that belong to another artist ( magazine photos are fine)but when you get finished you should have a totally original ATC that is made of three or more photo images for the first ATC. This is not to be a computer made image but an old fashion photo montage where you cut and paste the image together. This style of art lends itself to surrealism or fantasy but you can construct any image you want. Then the seconded ATC will be a drawing or painting or both of the first ATC. You will send both ATCs to your partner. You are rating the sender on meeting the requirements please remember that we are all at different skill levels in this group. This is a sender’s choice so you don’t have to wait to start. Please sign the back of both ATCs. Also put your name and the swap’s name on the envelope or in the envelope. I am giving lots of time to do this swap so we can all do our best work. Most of all have a good time and make something to wow your partner and do your personal best. Requirements:

1. Two original ATCs. One a Photo Montage and the other a hand drawn/painted or both ATC that is a copy of the first.
2. Members in good standing. If you are late on a swap or have a 1 ,please, do not sign up until you have taken care of it. If you have been recently unfairly rated, please, message me privately.
3. If you get into the swap and find you are unable to send contact me and I will cover your swap. If you are running late , please, contact me and your partner. Communication is the key to understanding.
