Description:

I think it's safe to say that mostly women frequent the 'bot and that a fair amount of us have jealous men in our lives who wish they got fun things in the mail every day too... so why not surprise them with a little happy mail? All men are welcome: sons, brothers, fathers, uncles, grandpas, husbands, boyfriends, friend-friends, cousins, nephews, etc, as long as they are important to you & would like some mail!

This month: Sports! Not all men are into sports, but don't just think football & baseball, although those are more than welcome... think rock climbing, horseback riding, running, swimming, fishing, hunting, anything that has been made into some kind of competition at some point in history and requires athletic ability and skill! There's gotta be something for everyone with that wide of a definition. =)

Instructions for this SPORTS Swap:

1) You will send at least $5 (before postage) worth of sports-related items to your partner's guy. The items you send don't have to be huge or expensive, but make sure they are all related to a sport that your partner's man actually likes!! Some examples: pins/buttons, team patches, training tips, magazines, posters, magnets, etc.

2) List your guy's name and if he is at a different address (your partner should PM you for it in that case) and what sports or teams he likes or dislikes, as well as what sorts of items he would actually use or enjoy.

3) Remember to address the swap to your partner's man and to include a small note/swap card with the swap name & your username (and a little explanation as to why he just got a package of goodies) so your partner can rate on behalf of their dude. ;)

Rules

  • Golden Rule: swap unto others as you would have them swap unto you!!

  • Please spend around $5 before postage. Quality handmade items are also welcome unless otherwise stated in the comments (the value should be around $5)!

  • Newbies are MORE than welcome to sign up if they have a full profile (at my discretion) and if they leave a comment with their dude's info in this swap. ;)

  • No recent (last 6 months) or outstanding 1s or 3s... I will be checking.

  • You must post in the comments BEFORE partners are assigned or I'll give you the boot! I will not be reminding anyone to post.

  • Have fun! ;)

Also!

If anyone would like to take over these swaps in September/October that would be great! I am taking an extended travel/vacation starting in October and will not be at any one address for at least another 6-8 months so it's very impractical for me to be very active here. ;) If anyone is interested send me a PM!

This time I choose my brother, Ryan Montoya (PM me for his address). He is 19 years old and about to go off to college at the University of Boulder, CO after taking a year off to travel, hike, camp, and his favorite: ROCK CLIMB! He absolutely loves everything to do with rock climbing... but anything camping/survivalist/outdoors-man he loves.

I already have a subscription for him for Climbing Magazine but if there are any other rock climbing or outdoors man type magazines (Backpacker Magazine) he would love them. He has a few posters but could always use more. He could use some info on good places to climb in the Boulder area (maybe there is a map online or a good link you can send him?) He can always use small, light backpacking gear such as waterproof matches, emergency/survival gadgets, water sanitizing tablets, etc. Climbing gear is expensive but if you find anything like patches or stickers or stuff with climbing-related mottos or pictures printed on them he would like that. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything outdoors/climbing/bouldering/caving-related!! =)

Thanks!

I choose my husband Mike. He likes the Buffalo Bills. He use to do rock repelling. He likes to geocache.
