Description:

For this swap you will have one partner. You will be creating a container that will include bits and pieces for your partner to find.

The container must be 8oz or more. You can use a clear 20oz bottle (but it must be clean of all wrapping and glue), or a glass jar. Anything that is 8 ounces or more, and clear can be used. Once the project is finished the top needs to be permanently attached. This can be done with hot glue, or epoxy glue.

Inside of the container 10 or more objects should be placed for your partner to find. More can be placed in the container but no less than 10. To fill the jar you can use such things as sand or glitter. About an ounce or two of the bottle should be left empty so that your partner will have room to shift it around to find the objects.

A list that includes the objects that can be found in the container should be added in a letter or note card to your partner.

Must have a 4.8 rating. Anyone with less than 6 type 3 ratings can join if they can email me a picture of the finished project before the join date deadline.

There's actually a game you can buy called Find It that is this same thing. The tube is filled with beads with little stuff hidden. They have themes for different games like barn yard, beach, etc. Very fun to play and can be addictive if you can't find every item.

I got my jar today, I found a 12 oz one at Joanns for under 3.00. I got 2, so that my five year old and I could make another one for us. I was thinking what a fun Christmas gift these could be too.

Gramma Sherry do not feel bad just think of the POSTAGE you are not spending on shipping this jar full of sand to another country hey see ???? I have seen the game find it at the stores also I think little ones really enjoy that kind of challenge

i used glass jar with sand - if a little one supervise first to make sure they can handle it alright i just kept finding little things to put in list included

can we use rice to hide the objects in?

anthonymcdaniels22 08/ 2/2012 #

Yes rice is fine. I didn't even think of that. Great idea.

Maggie249 08/ 3/2012 #

yes now i have rice as my hubby forced the lid off with a bottle opener (metal lid and glass bottle) now plastic lid and bottle and tiny bit more room with this bottle will not cost so much to mail
