Description:

You are going to create a Whimsy Jar for your partner. This jar is supposed to be a crafting jar. Directions - Take a glass or plastic jar - I'm thinking about 3 dl about 10 ounce (300g ~ 0,66 pounds) I think!! or larger (jam jar is fine). It can be a recycled clean and not broken in anyway jar or you can buy a new one. Decorate the lid and the outside of the jar. Decorate both! OTHER CONTAINER AT THE SAME SIZE OR BIGGER IS FINE TOO!

IF WE GET MORE PARTICIPANTS WITH THIS CHANGE I'D BE HAPPY. MORE THE MERRIER :)

Then you fill the jar with goodies. Things anyone can use for crafting. Here are some ideas: - stickers - ribbons - small rubber stamps - buttons - brads - feathers - lace - pieces of fabric folded in a roll - jewelry findings - pearls - gems - glitter. Anything you can think of and anything that fits the jar :) This is not profile based, but please check out your partners profile to see if you can find something nice from there. And of course check for allergies if you add candies etc as extra. Try to include a lot of variety.

Make sure you pack the jar properly so that it will reach your partner in one piece!

How about a similar sized cardboard or plastic box instead? I'd like to do this but think a jar would cost too much for me :( x

It would be better to have a glass or plastic jar but I don't mind if the container is shaped as a box but you should make sure your partner accepts it.

I'm also hosting a Small baby food jar swap. It's smaller and not so expensive to send...

I love to quilt, as well as craft so any size scraps of fabrics, trim, buttons, miniatures would be great! It can come in a box, the jar is not necessary if shipping is a problem :-) Kathy

I have no problem with other decorated container tahn jar, box or something like that is fine as long as you decorate it and make it nice :)

I'm with geryle! (: I don't mind the container, I love the content - fabric, trim, buttons, charms, etc. would be great, but anything is fine.
