Description:

For this swap you will make 2 items (1 brooch plus 1 ring) to send to 1 partner.

Both items should be handmade by you and inspired by ''Dia de los Muertos'', the Mexican festival honouring the dead. Think sugar skulls, Posada imagery, La Catrina, dancing skeleton couples, colourful flowers, and a bit of sparkle.

Size wise I'd say the brooch should be 2 inches to 3 inches in height including any dangly bits so feel free to incorporate beads, charms, lace, rhinestones, resin flowers, vintage jewellery findings etc in your design.

The ring fitting can either be size specific for your partner or you can use an adjustable ring.

Please spend time and effort creating a gorgeous brooch and ring that your partner will love to wear and proudly show off to all.

Do not use plastic or wooden kiddie craft type beads in your design.

Google ''Dia de los Muertos'' and ''Day of the Dead'' for information and imagery relating to the festival. Look at ''Dia de los Muertos brooch'', ''Day of the Dead rings'' and ''Sugar Skull jewellery'' on flickr and etsy.com for handmade inspiration.

Any questions please feel free to ask.
