Number of swap partners:3
Description:

This one is for kiddies. 3 partners. 3 cards. One per partner. Have your child create one handmade postcard for each of their partners. You can simply cut up heavy weight cardstock, lightweight cardboard or thick watercolor paper and have them go to town. Or recycle an old postcard by gluing paper over the front & back, then go crazy decorating. Color with crayons, pens, markers, fingerpaint or paint with a brush, sticker, glue yarn, weave paper, stitch or otherwise embellish in any fashion they elect. Obviously all different ages of children will be participating so skill level will vary. Pairing will be computer generated and random, so your 10 year old Picasso could very well receive a card from a 2 year old. You may want to brace your child for this fact. :-)

Postcards should be stamped, written on and mailed. If your creation is just too fragile to withstand shipping this way, then you may place it in an envelope for protection.

That's a lovely idea, and something to make swappers spend creative time with their kids. :) I'm emtering my four year old surrealist!

Thank you, Kantorka! I love getting crafty with my little ones. A four year old surrealist. How wonderful!! I wanted to apologize that while I thought I had already issued partners yesterday morning (the soonest I was able once deadline had passed) apparently, I didn't click everything all the way through. So imagine my surprise to check for my partners this morning and see I still needed to assign them. So sorry for the delay!! :-)

Our postcards are going to the Post Office tomorrow! We really had lots of fun making them - it is amazing what ideas she had, I really only put the materials in front of her and helped her avoiding a mess, plus a little help with some very delicate gluing (not much, though). I think we'd take part in something like this again! She'll be thrilled when she gets her letters!

Kantorka- Sounds like everything was great fun!! I am always game to set up an ongoing swap between our kids (I have 3, but only my two little ones ages 2 & 3 are in on this one). My kids love to create and craft and my daughter (the 3 year old) especially loves to get mail!! Let me know if you (or anyone else participating) want to consider it. :-)

Hint---You may want to contact your swap partners and see if they would like to send you their kiddos names for you to address the postcards directly to them.

I someone flakes (can't see it coming, who would flake a kid?) then we are in for sending some extra cards out. :)

Thank you to all our partners! We received all of our cards and they were all so unique and just wonderful to receive! We should do this again soon. And if anyone would like to do an ongoing swap, just casual back and forth on our own schedules letting the kids "pen-pal" creatively, then just message me, as we are game! :-)
