Thanks to everyone who signed up for this swap within a couple of minutes of my listing it! Hope you'll all enjoy making these!

Mine are done and ready to go! Just gonna hang around in the "outgoing" pile until partners are assigned.

:) Joan

That's great Joan, still a while to go till I can assign partners though. Don't do what I do and put them in a 'safe' place - so safe I can't remember where!

Wow, I feel like this swap theme is going to force me to think outside of the box. That picture you are showing looks so nice. I am going to make a go of it though. I hope I can come up with something breathtaking, jawdropping, heartstopping, ...ok I'll stop now.

Thank you Angie, that is one that I made for a swap last year for my partner, who was called Daisy! I think she liked it!

I'm sure whatever you make will be great and your partner will love it.

Why am I finding it harder to sacrifice an old jigsaw than I am an old book? I'm a book-aholic ... this should be easy!

If I can find a jigsaw that I don't have a history with already (so, a charity shop or similar then) in time, I'll join in. They look so pretty!

Thanks Rillaith. I found mine in the children's toy bit of a charity shop. Or ask on freecycle if anyone has one. Doesn't have to be a complete one, sometimes people have ones with bits missing that they'd only chuck out otherwise. And yes, they are lovely when they're all altered...

Goodwill usually has lots of old puzzles. It is much easier to buy stuff there to alter (like books) as you don't feel you are messing up a favorite old book or one of your kids gently loved games.

Need Help, first time on this site, find it overwhelming. I just retired from 28 years as Realtor, now have time to scrap, stamp, and love ATC cards, but want to be selective and not get over programed. Love to do this swap, can send sample of my ATC's. Can anyone give me some guidance please.

Juliaom: Welcome to swapbot! Just 5 short months ago I was a newbie too. Try to sign up for only one or two things to begin with until you get the idea and flow of how things work. By then you should be hooked. You will fondly remember all of that free time you once had before swapping, you will become like a stalker to your mailman, you will save bit of paper and scraps of yarn like they are manna from heaven (wait...they weren't allowed to save manna-oh well!). Really, just pace yourself until you get into the swing..you'll do great! Try a few "newbie" swaps first-people are a little more generous with ratings and comments. HAVE FUN. That is the most important part.

Thanks Devon, I don't have time to over program so will take it slow. Also have to go to NJ for a wedding this weekend. Guess I can figure out how the rating process works from the main info.

If anyone needs some puzzle pieces, let me know. I got a whole bunch of blank white ones in a "goodie bag" of craft stuff from Joann's (the store). If you're in the US, I would be willing to mail you a few for your ATCs. :)
