Description:

Hello, you lovely swapper, you!

This is the second time I have hosted this swap - last time I got amazing results and there were truly life-changing experiences involved. You have a long time to swap, little to spend on postage (probably!), and you get A LOT for what you give! "What is this wonderswap!?" you ask? Here are the basics:

yes, this is international

everyone is welcome - if you can't find the time to swap, don't sign up. You don't lose anything in this swap, all you get is a great feeling and a little letter from someone else who cares!

The sales pitch: Do you find yourself giving to a little jar for SPCA animals every so often? Do you often wish you could sponsor a child who needs you? Do you see those wristbands for various charities and get them, then admire them for the rest of the day? Do you add an extra 2 dollars to your grocery bill for the local food bank? If any of these situations (or any other giving you can think of) apply to YOU, then YOU are a perfect candidate for this swap!

Interested? Great! :)

  1. You will have quite a long time for this swap - to donate, make your letter pretty, embellish, etc.
  2. You will have only one partner.
  3. You must donate a minimum of 10 dollars U.S. (though more is always appreciated, and what do you lose, really?)
  4. You must include a one-page letter as introduction, why you love to donate, or whatever! (again, more is always nice, but not required.)
  5. You must have something to show for your donations - wristbands, buttons, little stickers, even a piece of paper or a receipt! - whatever the charity is giving out. You will send these items to your partner as proof of your having donated.
  6. You may donate to any registered charity. Again, the more the merrier!

How does this sound? Check out your partner's profile page for inspiration: it'll make choosing who you want to give to a lot easier. :)

Happy swapping, you wonderful swappers! Aim for hearts, and fill your own hearts with the goodness of giving as you go out and donate!

(Conversely, if you don't want to spend 10 dollars, then go out and volunteer for 10 hours with a local charity group, and write a 2-page letter to your partner about it! This can be just as rewarding. For sure hearts, choose to both donate your money AND your time! I put this option last, because I know how full many swappers schedules are, and this is a little restrictive in that respect. Remember, the time donating you do MUST be for this swap, now, and not something you did in the past.)
