Description:

Do you like unique bracelets? There are so many tutorials online (Especially on Pinterest) for the prettiest bracelets. But who has time to try them all?

For this swap, you will pick a tutorial online, and make your partner a bracelet based on the tutorial. If you're thinking about a little thread friendship bracelet, maybe send a few! Check out your partner's profile to find out what colors, or themes they may like, and be creative!

Try to recycle craft supplies you already have - restyled jewelry is so fun! And try to be more creative than some beads on a string please, anyone can do that. ;)

If you're a newbie and would like to join, just send me a message!

Happy swapping everyone! Any questions? Leave a comment.

Does the tutorial have to be from internet / should we send the page of origin with the bracelet?

It doesn't have to be an online tutorial, but if you use something different, just include those instructions in your package. If you use an online tutorial, you can just include a link. :)

I changed this to one partner, instead of two. :)

Those tutorials are very cool. I especially liked your fabric-covered bangles! This should be a fun trade. Thanks!

I'll make a bracelet oversize:)

eviltigger 09/14/2012 #

Do it have to have a tutorial of what I made? or can it something that is kind of the same? I make all of my own stuff, and I don't use tutorials?

Pattild 09/14/2012 #

I'm a newbie :) And I'd like to join this swap. Thanks, Patti

I´d love to take part, I´m also a newbie! Thanks, it´s pretty hard to find swaps where we are allowed to take part.

Sorry for the late responses, I've been in the process of moving. @eviltigger88 the point of of using a tutorial was so that if your partner liked what they got, they could make more using the included tutorial. If you can find a tutorial that's similar to what you made, that's completely fine. Patti and Suzi, welcome! :)

Like @eviltigger88 , I tend to do my own thing and let my designs change and progress on their own.

Would clear and concise written instructions (with images/illustrations where pertinent) of how I made that particular bracelet count as 'a tutorial' ? I'd be making my bracelet profile based once partners were assigned, so snapping a few pics along the way wouldn't be a problem.

For my partner, I wear a 7 1/2 to an 8" bracelet. I just found my pattern. http://www.flaxandtwine.com/2011/12/strand-of-pearls-diy-ribbon-and-pearl.html

jenidleman 09/25/2012 #

@Craftylass Sure! That would be fine. :)

jenidleman 09/25/2012 #

Partners have been assigned! Please check your partner's profile for colors and sizes! You don't want to put all that effort into something they don't like, or doesn't fit.

Have fun, and Happy swapping!!

My bracelet is an original design that I have no tutorial for - sorry. I hope my swap partner likes it :)
