Non-Envelope Envies

Let's make some envies!

For this swap, we'll make 3 different handmade envelopes for each of 2 partners. By different, I mean 3 different sizes or style of envelopes, and all 3 must be made with a different paper or something that wasn't made to be an envelope originally.

For instance, one 3x5 envie made from a book page; one 4x6 envie made from a decorative shopping bag & one 4x9 envie made from a sturdy magazine page. These are just examples, and you can choose whatever "paper" or medium you can think of. Only 1 of the envelopes can be made from scrapbooking paper. You could even turn one of those business envelopes with the random pattern (on the inside) inside out to create a different envie.

None smaller than 3x5" please. If you use a flimsy paper or magazine page, please line it. Please make the envelopes look nice, meaning, nicely cut lines and seal the edges with paper glue or double-sided adhesive. NO TAPE

Some ideas for "paper":

• maps

• childrens book pages

• cardboard food packaging

• funky wrapping paper

• foreign dictionary or book pages

• vintage magazine or book pages

• interesting brochures

• calendar pages

Again, these are just examples. Be creative!
