Description:

Thanks to RainyC giving me permission to host a USA version of a "Notebook/Journaling "PenPal" Swap! I’m posting a Notebook/Journaling PenPal Swap.

This is basically a co-op Notebook/Journal. You’ll have one Journal “Pen-pal” so to speak. You can make a really great friend, even if you don’t have a lot in common. So that being said, here are the dreadful rules (simple but must have).

1) Number one rule, you have to be willing to reply to your sender. There is never a time limit of when you send yours back. I’d hope after you receive your journal/notebook for the first time that you’d at least reply back within a couple of weeks, just to get the book moving back and forth. After that, between the two of you, you can figure out time frames. It is really nice to get the mailbox and find this book in there when it arrives simply out of the blue.

2) Measurements: The book should measure 9 -1/2 x 6-1/2 I don’t think it should be any smaller, nor much larger. Do to postage it's USA only. Try to stay within this measurement range, or there won’t be a lot of room for writing or creative anything. The cover can be altered somehow or not, it's not a requirment. Nothing fancy, heavy or bulky, remember this is going to be passed back and forth hopefully for years. You can put a pocket in the back, so you and your pal can swap goodies back and forth, you can share supplies, stickers, notes, and pictures or what ever your interest is. This is not a requirement, but to get to know someone it’s really nice to get an extra something once in a while.

3) The book can be either spiral or book binded, the type of notebook/journal will be senders choice, just remember that it needs to be sturdy enough to withstand travel.

4) The first page of your Notebook/Journal should definitely be an introduction of yourself. Be creative if you’d like.

Simple as that!

You will only make ONE PenPal Journal. When Partners are assigned you will have ONE partner to send/mail to. You will mail to your partner, then someone else will mail to you. The system does not assign in pairs (most of the time). So you essentially have two penpals in the end, but only make ONE journal, the one you are sending.

Sorry NO Newbies or anyone who has any ones or threes within the past three months,Must have at least a 4.8 If you do join up and don't meet the requirments, you will be banned!!

Please don't flake!! This is a pretty involved project and nobody likes a Flaker! Sign ups will run til the end of September and the notebook will be mailed by mid-October, this should give you plenty of time to find the right notebook/journal, alter it, and write your first entry to your pal.

I have a question...
Who is going to keep the journal when it's done?
What are you supposed to write, simply the account of your day, or your hopes and dreams, or are you supposed to respond to what the other person wrote?
It sounds like a really fun idea!

@janelwashere ~Hopefully your partner will respond!! It's just like writing a letter to a pen pal except it's in a journal~~Hopefully you pass it back and fourth and when it's filled start another and so on for many years~~ Introduce your self ~ tell of your day ~your dreams and hopes ~ ask questions to get to know them ~ Your making new friends!:) I would say who ever it goes to and has to start a new journal~~ Like you start your journal and the last respond in the journal {when it's filled} you write goes to your pal she would keep it and she would start another one~ But you and your partner can decide, If the person who started would like it back and you are willing to send it back thats fine~ This swap is to get Pen Pals if someone isn't into Pen Pals then this isn't the swap for you~
