Description:

For this swap you send your partner a nice HANDWRITTEN letter on some nice stationary. Write about you, your family, your hometown etc and maybe you find a new pal who writes back!

Include a postcard - store bought, maybe from around where you live, where you have travelled, or one you want your partner to see......

and include a teabag for a cup of tea to drink while reading your letter, this is sender's choice, but it is always nice to check your partner's profile and maybe find something she/he likes

Rating of 4.90, no recent or unexplained 1's or 3's, newbies with a WELL filled out profile are welcome! I check all profiles and will also ban who is already late sending out for other swaps or has not logged in for several days!

Please don't flake, it might be you get partnered with someone you think doesn't fit, but then get surprised!

I'm a Newbie, but would love to join this swap.

Hi! I joined this swap, but I don't login in swap-bot everyday! I'm only 5 rated, though. So please don't ban me from the swap just for not loging in every day... :) Thank you!

The store bought postcard should be unwritten on right?

maxbenleo 10/25/2012 #

yes, I guess unwritten is the best

what do we do when we draw a send to partner in another country whose first mother tongue is not English? I didn't consider this before signing up. Handwriting to someone who doesn't speak your same language presents a hiccup. Anyway to change that handwritten part...after the fact?

maxbenleo 10/26/2012 #

this swap series is for a handwritten letter, I have not had anyone complain about it before and I don't know why someone from another country shouldn't be able to read english handwriting???

redflower 10/27/2012 #

But isn't that strange earthnk i mean what's the difference? Isn't English - English wether it's typed or handwritten? PS if you have me.... My English is brilliant ;)

My partner's mother tongue is not English. I like typing because I tend to get carried away and you get A WHOLE LOT more from me in type written letters than handwritten where my hands (I'm an ambi) tend to cramp up thus making it difficult to hand write. Plus my hand writing can be sloppy as all heck. I tend to write fast and it ends up looking like a Doctor's prescription. I can barely read my own writing at times. See how much I've typed here? did it in a couple minutes compared to a longer time if I'd had to hand write :-)

^but that is no matter what language , btw if you coincidentally have me, I don't mind typed or not, but I can't speak for others of course ;)
