Inspired by Poe Tree Ornament- Handmade

I was recently in a very cool swap hosted by FLWAVE titled ''Inspired by Poe'' and as I annually host tree ornament swaps thought that Poe would be another good one to add to the collection.

For this swap you will create 1 Edgar Allan Poe inspired ornament for 1 partner.

This is a HANDMADE TREE ORNAMENT swap to be inspired by one of Poe's poems or stories, or that is a homage to Poe himself.

The tree ornament can be made from scratch or you could significantly alter an existing object or tree ornament if you prefer. Clay, fabric, assemblage, altered arts, altered dolls, tin shrines are all good. It could be a character from one of Poe's works or a figure of Poe himself to hang from the tree.

Feel free to incorporate dark imagery, quotes, black lace, black trims, black rhinestones, glitter, and dangling beads or crystals. Of course as it's a tree ornament a bit of sparkle won't hurt : )

Size wise I would say make something between 3''- 5'' in height.

Make your ornament durable so it will last for years to come. Any images, quotes, decoupage needs to be throughly sealed using glass/resin domes, Diamond Glaze or other suitable protective sealants. Also, as this is a tree ornament do not forget to add ribbon or a metal hanger to hang it from.

No paper ornaments please.

This is not a Christmas ornament and is darkly Poe themed so everyone can join in whatever kind of holiday tree you have.

Remember to pack your ornament well so that it does not get damaged in the post.
