Description:

I thought it would be fun for we Aussie NZ Gals to pull on our creative caps and dust of our crafting tools to create a fantabulous scarf for a fellow swap-bottee!!

I won't put any monetary amount on this swap, as we all live in different financial circumstances at the best of times, and would like to encourage recycling for those with tight budgets. It also means that we can all join in without having that 'expectation' cramping our creativity. I only ask that you create something that you'd be thrilled to receive yourself.

The outline for this swap is broad, with the only requirement that you read your swap partners profile and select a colour or medium that they favour, then create a scarf just for them.

There are no requirements as to how you make the scarf, as I feel that could reduce that number of participants.

You may like to knit, felt, crochet, hand paint, dye, patchwork/applique, or sew a scarf.

You may make one out of silk, velvet, wool, antique kimono/obi, recycled fibres.

It's all up to you. The way in which you create your scarf is restricted only by your imagination. The scarf doesn't have to be a winter one, and can be just for adornment if you wish.

A quick search through the flickr pages can provide a bevvy of ideas for any frustrated crafters.

The one restriction that I do have is no partners with a rating below 4.5 as this swap involves varying levels of creativity I cannot gaurantee any angels for this one.

Any newbies, please feel free to message me if you're interested to discuss the swap by pm.

Please note, this is an Aussie/NZ swap only due to the cost of postage.

I love extra long knitted scarves the best, but anything warm will do. It gets so freezing here next to the sea! Alternatively, you could make one for my almost 3 year old little boy. I find it impossible to find anything like scarves or mittens that actually fit his little hands. All colour info in my profile. Thanks!
